Kinh-Do in Dresden

We were there in the afternoon, so there weren't many other guests. When you're sitting outside, you sometimes have to draw attention to yourself. But since we were short on time, we asked in advance if that was possible. Our order was taken immediately and served promptly. The food itself was delicious and plentiful. The waitress even checked again to see if everything was okay, even though we were the only ones "outside." Completely satisfied and the timing was perfect!!! Thank you very much!

I’m Vietnamese. I ordered the Pho. The broth was terrible, no flavor or richness. The meat was ground beef which I’ve never seen in Pho before and not flavored. The bean sprouts were old, not fresh. The ladies serving didn’t speak any Vietnamese. The dish was €18.50 which is expensive for Pho and ridiculous for the quality of Pho presented. Overall, tourist trap and recommend to avoid.

I think if I had ordered something else, the review wouldn't be so bad. But what I was served there had nothing to do with Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered "Vit Bat Bao," which means something like "crispy duck on shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts, stir-fried with garlic" - with rice as a side dish. (€20) What I was served there was, in my opinion, bodily harm. The duck was neither chewable nor enjoyable. The taste was just of cooking fat and dead, dry animal. The rice was served to me in a small separate bowl. Well... it was just rice. It was suspiciously similar in quality and taste to the instant rice from Lidl. I don't want to talk about the vegetables, otherwise I'd get in a bad mood. I think there are dishes worth trying at this restaurant. What I got there should be removed from the menu without replacement. To then charge €20 for this is a slap in the face for any hungry guest. Service was average—good, as was the ambiance.

We had dinner here on Sunday evening. The food was delicious (beef pho tron and beef udon + starters), everything was fresh, very hot, the meat was tender, the portions were large, the service was fast and polite. You can pay by card, but you have to tip in cash.

The food was absolutely amazing, hands down some of the best Pho I’ve tried in Germany. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, especially the outside seating area. One of the waitresses was a little rude, for reasons I can’t quite figure out, but at least the food made up for it 🥲.

If you're not forgotten as a guest and don't have to wait forever for your food, then I can recommend this restaurant! Unfortunately, we were "forgotten by the kitchen," but after an hour of waiting, we were given a free shandy as compensation! The food loses one star; the main course was very dry (waited too long?) and the supposedly fried onions were almost raw! On the other hand, the starter soup (chicken with coconut milk and lemongrass) was delicious!

The food quality was not good compared to the high price. The worst part was that the waitress was really rude! They didn't give the kids forks, so I asked for them, and they got very angry, and after a while, they gave them to me. This is my first time going to such an unfriendly restaurant in my life. The food tastes wonderful here! The service is super fast, very attentive and super friendly! However, I have to deduct one star because the ambience needs to be overhauled a bit. There are cobwebs everywhere on the ceiling and the wall is crumbling. That makes it a bit uncomfortable.

Because of the many good reviews, I recently ate here and was pretty disappointed. The order came surprisingly quickly. I had coconut milk soup that had already formed skin and gyoza, which unfortunately wasn't fresh. They looked more like they came from the freezer. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

A very nice, quiet restaurant with delicious food. Nice staff. In contrast to many similar restaurants, the prices are not overpriced and the portions are large enough to fill you up. In short, we always enjoy coming here. The location is also great.

Wir waren abends in Dresden und versuchten unser Glück beim Vietnamesen. Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen, leckere Vorspeisenrollen und zum Hauptgang Ente (ein Genuss) und 2 Currygerichte. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal, aber nett und gemütlich. Die Bäder sehr sauber. Die Bedienung nett und zuvorkommend. Empfehlenswert wer diese Speisen mag.

An einem Freitagabend im Januar waren wir zu dritt im Kinh Do in der Weissen Gasse in Dresden. Das Restaurant hat einen etwas merkwürdigen Inneneinrichtungsstil. Mir gefiel es nicht wirklich. Komische grafische Wandgestaltung. Die Tische und Stühle sind rustikal. Der Service war freundlich. Wir hatten zweimal gebackenes Hühnchen und einmal Ente. Als Vorspeise Frühlingsrollen mit Dip. Der Dip war mehr als neutral - etwas wässrig. Meine Ente kam in einer Pfanne auf einem Bett aus etwas Gemüse. Die Ente war recht zäh und teilweise fett. Dazu gab es Reis. Satt bin ich davon nicht geworden. Mich hat das Essen und das Restaurant nicht überzeugt. Sehr mittelmäßig.

Often you are not welcomed as a guest who is alone. Here it was completely different. I was seated at a table for four with a view of the Kreuzkirche and I was given a good feeling the whole time. The wine and dish from the lunch menu were delicious! Highly recommended!

Used to be a great place to visit, but the price is getting over my head.

I visited with my family while the Christmas market was open. It's a slightly higher-end version of a Vietnamese restaurant, so the prices are a little higher than you'd normally expect. (You should think that it costs twice as much as the Vietnamese restaurants you usually visit.) Still, the food was delicious, and you can pay extra for extra noodles. The mangola seeds that someone else recommended were delicious. Chairs for children are also available.

The last time I was here was in the summer and I was very satisfied again. The staff is super nice and the food is very tasty. The soups as starters are amazing. But I only have one tip; In winter it is a bit cool in the restaurant. I would find it better here if it was warmer.

Good Vietnamese restaurant in the center of Dresden. The prices are slightly higher, but probably average for a big city and the central location. The menu offers a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. The food came very quickly and was still freshly prepared. Tastes very, very good. Despite the indication of the use of monosodium glutamate, the dishes were not overly seasoned or salty. So only a small amount is actually used. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely come back.

My friends and I had lunch there on a Sunday. We were six and managed to get a table without reservation. I ordered water with mint and cucumber. For meal, I ordered number 36 from the menu. It was fried noodle bowl with vegetables and meat. The meal was enough for me in quantity and delicious. The service was nice and friendly. It is a good vietnamese restaurant in Altstadt. :)

The Vietnamese pho is quite good, the beef is thick, the soup is good, and the crispy roast duck has really crispy skin! Dishes come out fast!

Located in the center of Dresden, easily accessible and a good location for a relaxed lunch after a concert at the Kulturpalast. It's different, a little more expensive, but also much better than comparable restaurants. We have to recommend this restaurant, there are only positive things to say.

Kinh-Do is hidden quite inconspicuously in a side street to the Altmarkt-Galerie. The food is extremely delicious. We tried everything from the excellent pho to the spring rolls to the roast duck. The house sauce is particularly recommended. The service is quick, friendly and child-friendly. You can eat inside or outside, you just sit right in front of the Altmarktgalerie in a completely concrete alley. Therefore a small deduction for the atmosphere, otherwise the restaurant is thoroughly recommended.

Overall, I missed Kin-Do's pizzazz. The summer rolls were okay, I found the convenience hoi sin sauce and the roasted onions unsuitable in my opinion (peanuts would be better) a shame. But that's a matter of taste - my husband liked it. The main courses were quite tasty. The service was very accommodating.

Nice Vietnamese restaurant a little away from the hustle and bustle here but still close to all the sights. The service is friendly and attentive but at times a bit overwhelmed. My wife finished her main course and then my food arrived. In terms of taste, everything was very tasty and there was plenty of it, but the various dumplings as a starter didn't completely convince us. Still, you can certainly eat her well.

If you're a Korean and want to go here, don't go. This is a place where you can see the end to unfriendliness. Especially the male staff serving! I took my order with an angry look on my face for no reason, paid for it, and didn't give me change. I was so angry that I asked for change, and they gave me change with an unfriendly look on my face. Just be careful because tips are calculated compulsorily. And the food quality is really bad! Once again, I feel like I shouldn't eat Asian food in tourist spots like this!

We go to Dresden every year for a few days. Unfortunately, most restaurants are not very sophisticated and only aim to rip off tourists. Not so this Asian restaurant in a really beautiful location! The food was absolutely top! The portions were large, you could really feel full. It would be served on warmers so that the food stayed hot. It was very flavorful and the ingredients were very fresh and deliciously prepared. My wife had half a duck, the best she has ever eaten. Days later we were still raving about the delicious food. We will now come back regularly and can highly recommend the restaurant. Thank you and I hope it stays as good as it is 🏆

Wir fahren jedes Jahr für ein paar Tage nach Dresden. Leider sind die meisten Restaurants nicht sehr anspruchsvoll und nur auf Touristen Abzocke aus. Nicht so dieses Asiatische Restaurant in echt schöner Lage! Das Essen war absolut Top! Die Portionen waren groß, man konnte wirklich satt werde. Serviert würde auf Stövchen, so dass das Essen heiß blieb. Es war sehr gut gewürzt und die Zutaten waren sehr frisch und lecker zubereitet. Meine Frau hatte eine halbe Ente, die Beste, die sie je gegessen hat. Noch Tage später schwärmten wir von dem leckeren Essen. Wir werden jetzt regelmäßig wieder kommen und können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Dankeschön und ich hoffe es bleibt so gut wie es ist 🏆
