They are very bad staff who have no respect on how to talk to the Uber driver. I don't recommend people to go to this restaurant

Delicious food and great cocktails!

I had ordered Sommer rollen and ramen. Sommer rollen was very good, tasted fresh. Ramen was okay. Nothing extraordinary. I had been to a different location of Codo earlier and liked that better. Overall it was decent.

I was at Codo on Albertplatz this lunchtime and unfortunately I have to say that I was personally disappointed. The restaurant was still quite empty (besides me there were 3-4 other tables occupied by individuals and couples). After I sat down, no one came to take my order for more than 15 minutes. When I went to the counter and wanted to order politely, it took another 5 minutes before I was finally able to do so. It's a shame because one of the employees was unfortunately on his cell phone several times. In general, I expect good service staff to come to the table not just when asked and not just to bring the food. At first glance, the menu is visually very well structured and aesthetic. However, this (just like the table, by the way) is extremely sticky (and no, unfortunately it's not due to sticky cleaning products). Unfortunately very very unpleasant. The food was good, appetizingly prepared and came quickly, but in no way outweighs the service and cleanliness.

We had lunch at Albertplatz. It's very nice to sit outside. Places are well protected from sun and rain. Large selection of food and drinks. Actually way too much. Food tasty and inexpensive. Points will be deducted in the ambience. The reason is the condition of the toilets. You shouldn't be overweight. The cleanliness is also not optimal.

We both ordered lunch and were very satisfied. Prices are great too 👌

I've always enjoyed going to Codo, but recently the two of us were there for lunch. There was a hustle and bustle atmosphere and it was very loud. My food came and 20 minutes later the food of my companion, which I found to be a no-go.

The Codo is a really confident and delicious restaurant in Dresden and really good at all locations. You know what to expect and you won't be negatively surprised. The lunch specials are recommended, as the price-performance ratio is very good. You have to want the ambience at Albertplatz, as it is always a bit louder there. But that's the only drawback to the otherwise great and high quality Codo. On a scale of 10 it would be a 7.5/10 ⭐️

Very tasty food and good value for money. I was there in the afternoon during the week and there was relatively little going on. The preparation of the food was very quick. I can highly recommend the Codo.

This restaurant does offer the authentic Vietnamese cuisine. As a Vietnamese,I am quite happy with the taste of food here. The portion is very big and price is cheap. Will come back for sure

I was in the restaurant with my work colleagues and we were pleasantly surprised. The dishes were large, as you can see in the picture, and they were filling too. It was also very well attended, you can make a reservation, which is what we did. There were 7 of us and we had a table for everyone. The staff were also very friendly. I highly recommend it.

We waited almost 30 minutes. The waitress paid us no attention. Neither a request for a drink nor the menu was brought. After 30 minutes we left without having accomplished anything... Unfortunately...

Unfortunately our order was taken, but after an hour of waiting we had had enough. Unfortunately, the employees didn't ask us again whether we had actually already ordered or not. That was my last visit.

We visited the restaurant with a larger group. Drinks and food were good, but the service really needs to be improved. The wait staff were friendly, but it took forever before we could order. The first round of ordering was just drinks, after that no one came, so I spoke directly to the waiter and told us we wanted to order. However, the food came very quickly. My food was tasty, overall the quality was okay. The portions were very good for the price.

I really love the cuisine of Codo Restaurant. I think this is one of the few restaurants in Dresden where you can eat delicious sushi. I live in the center, so I always visited Codo in the old town (Kleine Brüdergasse 5). The cuisine was always at the highest level, fast, but the work of the staff was 50/50. Some were friendly, others less so, to say the least. However, there were never any unpleasant situations. Today I visited Codo at Albertplatz. And I just can't help but write about the situation that happened. I won't say anything about the fact that the sushi just fell apart into sticks, the waiter didn't even ask for the drink and then didn't bring any plates (and the sushi was served on a shared platter). It's the little things. At the same time, I was friendly and thanked the waiters for every approach. But in the end, when I wanted to pay the bill, a situation arose that did not give me the opportunity to remain silent and give Codo a good review (to my regret). I asked the waiter twice, “Can I use an Amex card?”, to which I didn’t get an answer the first or second time. To which the waiter replied, “Go to the bar to pay,” and I asked the same question again – he told me the amount of my bill. I thought, ok, I'll try to pay by card (as I understand it, the waiter doesn't understand German very well and didn't dare to ask me the question in English). I pick up the phone, take it to the terminal and then the waiter starts shouting at me: “No, we can't pay with Amex.” Outraged by emotions. I am a very calm person. But the waiter’s behavior surprised and outraged me “a little.” I was outraged by the tone and shouting in my direction. I answer him: “First, why are you yelling at me? And secondly, I've already asked you twice and you haven't answered anything." The waiter then showered even greater emotions in my direction with the words (in broken German): "Calm down, I said! Rest! Slowly!” etc. In such high tones that the whole restaurant could hear. And at the same time he was snorting, freaking out in my direction, getting indignant at the other waiters and so on. I realized that the person was simply showering the visitor with negativity and not hearing me (or not understanding me), I sat down at my table, silently paid in cash and left. BUT! I can't write now because, in my opinion, this is unacceptable and it is simply terrible that Codo, when recruiting employees, does not take into account their friendliness and politeness. Yelling at a customer for no reason is the lowest level of work. I myself worked in the catering industry (event manager for a restaurant chain) and know how this area works very well. I don't expect anything special from others, but minimal respect, friendliness, pleasant service and customer focus - it's very simple. Of course, if this is part of the restaurant's values. I'm sorry, Codo. Despite the very tasty dishes and the quick work of the kitchen, the service is terrible! PS: Of course, it's possible that this person is simply in a bad mood or not very happy with their life. But! Yelling, covering your mouth and being outraged at a guest/customer/customer (for no reason at all) is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, things used to be much better. We were there again in December and today and both times we waited a long time to place our order, even though the shop wasn't even half full and there were several waiters. Both times the waiters were very unfriendly and apathetic. Today we waited over half an hour for our drink and when my friend spoke to the waiter, he just looked at us and kept walking. The food last time was terrible. I got a bowl of dry seasoned rice with no sauce and my friend's curry sauce was clearly waterlogged and tasteless. For an hour no one came and asked us if we wanted something more to drink, even though I often made eye contact and it was clear that I wanted something. Overall it's just bad, we will never come back.

It was incredibly crowded for a Tuesday. The food was good, we had to wait a very long time before the waiter came. Second drink didn't arrive. We paid at the counter because no one was coming to the table. I don't think anyone would have noticed if we had left without paying.

It was very cool there. We sat at the small window facing the corner. You can watch the buzzing Albertplatz in any weather. It was tasty and definitely had good prices.

It is one of the best places to enjoy Vietnamese food. They also offer sushi. There are also outdoor seats. Food is served quickly and tastes great.

We recently visited the Vietnamese restaurant Côdô in Dresden. The food was tasty and well prepared. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Despite our ability to communicate in German, the waiter was rude and careless. We were very disappointed by his behavior, especially when he shook his head after we decided not to tip due to poor service. Because of this experience we will not be returning.

Highly HIGHLY recommend the Vit Ca Ri (#86). The crispy duck had a great crunchy texture, and the red curry soaking up the rice was rich and flavorful. I would choose this dish again next time I'm in Dresden. Edit: it's been a week and I STILL CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS DISH

This is a nice place to have a warm meal at a reasonable price. They have a llt of vegetarian options as well.

We were there on a Friday evening. Luckily we had reserved as it was full later. We ordered the sushi platter for 2 people. This was super delicious. What we noticed negatively, however, was that it was very cold. I had to keep my winter jacket on otherwise it would have been too cold for me. But the food was so good that we would like to go there again.

Disapointed, menu not in english, staff doesn't speak english. Not very cosy, really cold inside people stay with jackets on to eat. Food wise .. okeish, not a nice experience. 😒

I always enjoy coming here, or to the sister branch opposite the Schauburg. The food is always delicious, always tastes fresh and is well seasoned. It also seems authentically Vietnamese, as far as I can tell. The service was sometimes a bit sloppy, but that's okay, especially since we were there on a public holiday and there were no major mistakes. The only real criticism is that it was relatively cold. Some of the guests and some of my friends were sitting there with coats/jackets. The toilet is okay, but could be better, but this was always a problem with the previous tenants, so it may be the landlord's fault that the bathroom situation has never been solved perfectly. All in all, we had a very fun evening and I'll definitely be back. Maybe with an additional sweater. ;-P

Leider war das Personal nicht besonders freundlich, die Temperatur im Restaurant nicht vertretbar, weil es viel zu kalt war, das Geschirr war so kalt, dass das Essen dadurch auch schnell kalt wurde, das Polster auf der Sitzbank gerissen,

Great food, great staff, good price

Das Côdô bietet ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Zutaten sind stets frisch, die jeweilige Bedienung war zu uns bislang immer sehr freundlich. Wir kommen daher sehr gern ins Côdô. Der Ingwertee mit Kumquat und der Mango Beef Burger sind besonders zu empfehlen.

Leider habe ich mich an unsren 3er Tisch nicht wohl gefühlt. Es war kalt, zugig und sehr laut. Essen war ok.

Essen war super lecker zu einem fairen Preis. Es war nur sehr sehr kalt und es zog tierisch, da wir in diesem extra Bereich (ehemals Tür) saßen und die nicht dicht war, man konnte sogar durch den Spalt schauen.

Das Essen war vorzüglich, der Service aufmerksam. Einzig die Lautstärke hätte etwas leiser sein können.

Freundliches Team und schneller Service. Gute Auswahl vegetarischer Speisen und es gibt auch vegane Optionen. An unserem Platz war es relativ kühl, wir kommen aber gern wieder.

Unglaublich gutes vietnamesisches Lokal - absolute Empfehlung! Preis-Leistung ist spitze. Wir hatten gebratene Nudeln mit Tofu und ein Curry mit Erdnusssoße! Vorneweg gab‘s noch vegetarische Frühlingsrollen.

Positiv: Die Suppe kam schnell, frische Zutaten, nachwürzen war durch die Saucen am Tisch möglich. Schneller Service, Preise angemessem

Kimchi war in Ordnung, aber für die Größe und den Preis kann man nichts sagen! Die gebratenen Nudeln waren auch sehr lecker. Preise sind echt top!

Samstag mittags. Wir bekamen ohne Reservierung einen Platz für vier Personen. Getränke und Essen kamen zügig. Es hat alles super geschmeckt. Die Preise sind absolut im Rahmen. 👍

Vorbestellung von 2 Hauptmahlzeiten und 2 Vorspeisen um 16:20 Uhr zu 19:00Uhr. Bestellung wurde angenommen. Die "bestätigte Lieferzeit" hat sich dann ab 19Uhr stetig nach hinten verschoben. Als dann um 19:13 Uhr die neue "bestätigte Lieferzeit" noch weitere 21min entfernt war, wurde die Bestellung ohne Angabe von Gründen per Mail storniert. Hätte es diese Meldung früher gegeben, würden wir jetzt nicht hungrig und ungehalten den Abend verbringen. Ein sehr negatives Erlebnis.

Ich bin an sich schon ein Freund der asiatischen Küche, jedoch wurde ich von diesem Restaurant nun schon mehrfach nicht ganz abgeholt. Das Essen ist zwar meist recht solide, aber auch nichts Weltbewegendes. Die Portionsgröße ist angesichts des Preises bei manchen Gerichten zu gering. Die Cocktails haben beide Male fast ausschließlich nach Whiskey geschmeckt. Das Personal ist stets bemüht, doch wirkt auch (teilweise) etwas überfordert und lustlos in gewissen Situationen. Ich denke schon, dass ich noch mal wiederkommen werde, aber empfehle auch die restliche, gastronomische Vielfalt der Dresdner Neustadt zu testen!

Wir waren nun schon mehrmals dort. Das Essen dort war immer super und schön angerichtet. Allerdings bergen die Räumlichkeiten etliche Hindernisse für ein entspanntes Essen. Als erstes begegnet einem die schwer zu öffnende Eingangstür, welche nicht gerade einladend wirkt. Viele Dekorationsobjekte an den Wänden sind verstaubt und sehen aus wie abgestellter Müll (bspw einige Bücher in einem Regal). Die Toiletten allerdings sind der eigentliche Grund einen Stern abzuziehen: auch hier lassen sich die Türen nur mit enormem Kraftaufwand öffnen. Im Vorraum der Toiletten ist es dreckig und muffig. Die Toiletten selbst können ebenso beschrieben werden: dreckig, stinkend, lieblos und unhygienisch. Leider schmälert das immer die Freude über das Essen.

Wir waren Freitag Mittag hier und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Preise sind noch ok. Ambiente ist nicht zu kitschig. Service war echt angenehm. Wir hatten Hauptgerichte und Sushi dazu, kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

War bei der Afterwork-Party dort. viele verschiedene Bars und originelles Essen. Ab 21:00 lange Schlangen vor den Getränke-Ständen.

Also ich liebe codo, und ich muss sagen auf der alaunstraße 1 gibt es tolle Mitarbeiter*innen. Allerdings ist der Lieferservice wenn man zum Beispiel Erdnusssoße bestellen möchte sehr umständlich. Bei Lieferando gibt es leider keine Option der vielen Extrasoßen das ist sehr schade und schränkt mich als Käufer ein ! Besonderer Dank geht allerdings raus an den Menschen der es geschafft hat mit mir einen Weg zu finden ! Danke an die Alaunstraße 1 Mitarbeitenden. Essen wie immer tiptop!

I can call it typical „asian food” but maybe with some more flavours. I ate fried salmon with snap pea and mung bean sprouds. There could be more salmon with this price but putting aside, it was generally tasty. Ive never ate this fish prepared like that but taste intresting and diffrent, so i can recommend. Toilets kinda awful and atmosphere typical like near highway, so loud and crowded.

Delicious vietnamese cuisine that is fairly-priced. They have a few locations in the city, and this one is my favorite. You cannot beat the outdoor seating with the view of Albertplatz! One of the best summer rolls in town.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen, Sushi, war sehr, sehr lecker. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Für Cocktails sind günstig und lecker.

Tolle Laden mit großer überdachter Terrasse, schnellem Service und frischen Essen. Wir waren zu 2 an einem Samstagnachmittag da und haben schnell einen Tisch bekommen. Das war mit frischen Zutaten und kam super schnell. Am Ende waren wir positiv über die Gesamtsumme überrascht. Da bezahlt man überall mehr und bekommt dafür weniger oder nicht so gute Qualität. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen leider nicht nachvollziehen. Mein Essen (Gebratene Nudeln mit Hühnchenfleisch und Gemüse) war ziemlich versalzen und hat nach Geschmacksverstärkern geschmeckt, so dass ich noch Stunden danach Durst hatte. Ausserdem enthielten die Salatblätter auf dem Essen enthielt kleine Steinchen und das Essen war auch sehr trocken. Das Annehmbarste war eigentlich der Cocktail (Campari Orange) welchen ich mir gegönnt habe. Das Personal war zwar ganz nett und das Essen kam auch relativ schnell. Trotzdem würde ich in dieses Restaurant nicht nochmal gehen.

Bin immer wieder mal da. Gern auch mit Gästen. Ergo bin ich war Essen betrifft zufrieden. Kundenfreundkeit ist durchwachsen (hatte da auch bereits 2x sehr unfreundliche Begegnungen mit Personal).
