Anamit - Vietnamese Authentic in Dresden

The food was just okay and not authentic compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The service was unfriendly towards Vietnamese customers, and since we didn’t receive the bill, we’re unsure whether the tip was automatically included, as mentioned in other reviews.

the food was pretty good, but the service was extremely bad. when i entered the restaurant and asked if i could sit in the corner, the restaurant was still quite empty, the waitress said that today was the weekend and there was no one working so i could only sit at the table she pointed to with an extremely unpleasant tone. but then the western customers came in and were able to sit where i wanted and were still served normally. after we finished eating and sat for a bit to chat, from the time we entered the restaurant until we finished eating was less than 2 hours and we received a sentence to chase the customers away 🙂, literally “have you finished eating yet? If you’re done, go home and let others in”. i felt discriminated against because i’m vietnamese, at a vietnamese restaurant! the first time i went to eat and was chased away like that.

In this restaurant, the tip was simply added automatically without the guests' consent. I don't think that's right at all. Also, the server arrived very late, even though we were about to order. That was really disappointing.

I've had much better bun bo variations. The beef is of poor quality. Stringy and tough pieces. I mentioned it. The waitress tried to put it into perspective with her explanation. But there's no discount or small compensation to be expected. So you just have to live with the fact that you'll get leftover meat on your plate. The homemade lemonade with ginger was just ginger ale with a slice of lime. Too sweet and uncreative. Never again Anamit.

The food is very spy but the service is very friendly

Lovely Vietnamese restaurant with good food

The pork bbq was pretty good. The service was minimum but they still charged 10% tips without asking. We found this out after we paid by card and saw the final invoice. Mandatory tip without prior notice and not really nice service was a red flag for me. Won't come back.

Ordered, food came timely. As titled, very very authentic. Especially papaya salad and bun cha were fantastic. Pho Ga is also recommended.

Hello. I'm Korean. The food. The taste. The service speed. The value. This is the perfect Vietnamese restaurant. The shrimp tempura was so piping hot, and the pho was so filling that I ate until I was full! It's a bit pricey compared to Vietnamese prices, but for this price, I'm very satisfied!! Four main courses for 50 euros!!

It reminds me about Hà Nội. The decoration is really impressive. Foods are tasty, portion is large. I expect that they could offer more sauce for Bun cha. I dont like tào phớ. Service is good. There is only one waitress but she works very efficiently.

Highly recommend this place! We came for the dinner just after the opening, so it wasn't too busy, but it was gradually filling up while we were there. Really good selection of the dishes on the menu and the portions are huge, so better to come in really hungry! I had a bao bun burger, which was delicious. Some points down are only for one meal - stir fried rice with vietnamese smoked sausage that, while not bad, was kinda bland next to the other meals and too dry. Otherwise it's a great place and if you like vietnamese food, then for sure give it a try here.

Authentic taste, affordable price, and perfect service

It was a bit pricey for me, but the portion was big and very tasty. The salmon steak was great, the sweet potato as a side dish too.

This restaurant is a little more delicious and well decorated than the Vietnamese food I had in the Czech Republic.

I've been to this Vietnamese restaurant many times, but today I had a very unpleasant experience. When paying, the waiter asked me if I wanted to tip. I clearly said "never" – but he still added a 7% service charge to the bill without my consent. In Germany, tipping is voluntary and based on the guest's decision. A mandatory fee of this amount is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable. This behavior is pure rip-off! After this experience, I will definitely not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

The service at this restaurant is terrible. I clearly arrived first, but the waitress took the other table's order before mine—just because there were three of them and I was alone. I asked her why she took the other table’s order first when I had clearly arrived before them. She couldn’t give me a proper explanation and just turned around and walked away, leaving me there by myself. Without even sorry

Great experience in student area of Dresden

My mom, my brother, and I ate at Anamit on a Wednesday. The ambiance is particularly nice. The service could be a bit more attentive; they only asked for the most basic things. The menu offers a wide selection, but the food was a bit greasy.

All dishes are freshly prepared and constantly replenished. We enjoyed them very much and would gladly return.

A restaurant I visited after meeting a friend in Dresden. The Bun cha was really delicious. The meat had a visual that I had never seen in Korea, and the fried shrimp was really delicious. However, it was a shame that there were trash cans right in front of the window. The air conditioner didn't cool it down, so it was a little hot.

There was nothing authentic about the pho soup; it tasted like vegetable broth, and they used cheap instant noodles, which left a very bland taste. Okay for average Vietnamese food, but nothing special.

The wooden skewers are reused, which is disgusting. Plus, the skewer was completely burnt. Absolutely not recommended.

The three-course menu is very good value for money. If you sit outside in good weather, you can enjoy some excellent street entertainment from the various people crossing the intersection.

This is one of my favourite restaurants ever, been here first in 2023 during my Erasmus and it made me want to travel to Vietnam (which I did). Yesterday we were for dinner for some friend's graduation and they were so nice to let us enter even if it was too late

Dead fly in my food. I mentioned it to the waitress and was told that the fly was natural and that I must have accidentally stirred it into my food since I was sitting on the terrace. They didn't believe me that the fly was already dead in my food. The waitress then stirred the food herself to show me that there were no more flies in it. Unfriendly. That was my last visit to Anamit.

I had high hopes for this Vietnam restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The service was disappointing—slow and inattentive, which made the meal less enjoyable. While the presentation of the dishes was quite nice and the décor of the restaurant is beautifully done, the food itself leaned heavily on the sweet side, which didn’t suit my taste. With some improvements to the service and better flavor balance, this place could live up to its promising ambiance.

The staff's attitude seems like they don't want to welcome guests. When paying, you must tip at least 7e. The price of food is inflated, stir-fried pho on the Menu says 10.5 but the bill is 14.5. They also said that because it was a holiday, the monks couldn't read clearly. But only increase this item because it is the cheapest on the menu. Previously, when I went to eat on a weekday, the price was inflated but I didn't pay attention so I went home to check. Everyone should pay attention to the bill. The food doesn't taste good either!

The food was good, the service was nice, although sometimes less attentive and slower. The toilet room could be more clean and maintained.

Warning : They added a tip (Trinkgeld) without asking, right before swiping the card — the amount wasn’t much, but it felt unethical and sneaky. Transparency with billing is important, and this left a bad impression. As for the food: the Bun Cha was good, the crispy duck was nicely done, but the prawn in the summer roll didn’t taste fresh.

An all-round successful visit to Anamit Vietnamese Authentic! The ambience was very harmonious and matched the culinary concept - cozy and authentically Vietnamese. The service was friendly and accommodating, we felt we were in good hands. The short waiting time was particularly pleasing: we had barely enjoyed our delicious starter when the main course was served - perfectly timed! The dishes were lovingly prepared in Vietnamese style and tasted a real highlight. The portions were generous and everyone was comfortably full. A small drawback only concerns the sanitary facilities - these could be a little better maintained and more attractive. Nevertheless: A great visit with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere – gladly again!

The drinks are all good. You can try the homemade ones. Pho's soup is rich, and the pho itself has a moderate texture. The fried rice is seasoned well with the rice, but it's a bit oily after eating. The fried duck meat is on the dry side, but there are quite a few vegetables.

It is compulsory to collect tips, and if you don’t give them, you won’t be allowed to use your card.

A real discovery!! We walked around and found several places that caught our attention on that street and we decided to enter this one. Although it was quite full we didn't have to wait long and they seated us very quickly. The food is very good and with large portions, adapted a little because it is not very spicy but you can ask for any sauce or spicier if you prefer and they bring it to you very quickly. Many of the tables are low with a stool and the place is decorated in a very peculiar way. It's great if you are looking for another type of food and eat something different than usual

I picked up the M8 thinking you can't go wrong with fried rice, but I was wrong. The food was cold, the rice didn't taste good and the service wasn't the best, especially when you have to wait a long time for payment.

Mal wieder spontan dort gewesen und mal wieder super gegessen. Das Restaurant bietet vietnamesische Küche. Sehr lecker und vielfältig. Die Portionen sind groß. Fast zu viel für eine Vorspeise. Da falle ich immer wieder drauf rein. Aber: Hauptsache lecker. Schönes Ambiente mit normalen Tischen oder auch flachen Tischen, bei denen man auf dem Boden sitzt. Preise sind OK. Gerne immer wieder.

Ordered a bowl of pho because it said best pho in town but it tasted bland. When I saw the feathers, my mother screamed at the swallow. Because I went with my German family, I didn't want to make a fuss, so I just pushed the bowl of pho aside 🙃 I didn't make an appointment for the next time even though my husband complimented me that the vermicelli noodles were delicious. Staff and restaurant space are ok.

Every time I go up, I always close them here. 😋 Lotus seed shrimp soup with vermicelli noodles is delicious but the vermicelli noodles are often dry, Western-style dishes are not very delicious, desserts are normal. Overall, very good, always come back every time I come to Dresden.

A very good Vietnamese restaurant decorated with Vietnamese aesthetics. Good food and good service. A good place for anarcho-syndicalism with family and/or friends to eat cuisine different from traditional German or European.

Unfortunately, the ambience is very deceiving. I've honestly never eaten such bland and boring pho. In addition to the veggie beef (super lame - the tofu is much better), I only had noodles. The broth itself was super disappointing. The lime and chili that was served with it didn't help either. But summer rolls were quite good.

The attitude of the waiter old woman was so so bad

Wir waren abends zu dritt dort essen. Essen war sehr lecker. Haben es aber alle 3 nicht vertragen. Jeder hatte am nächsten Tag Magendarmprobleme. Wir haben auch 5 Tage nachher immer noch Probleme mit der Verdauung. Mich hat es am Schlimmsten erwischt. Ich lag 12 h nach dem Essen mit massiven Magenkrämpfen, Übelkeit und ständigem Erbrechen, begleitet von Durchfällen 5h in der Notaufnahme, da ich nichts mehr bei mir behalten habe. Erst nach diversen Infusionen mit Medikamenten wurde es langsam besser.

Super nice restaurant, with a great ambience, but not suitable for people with intolerances or allergies. There is no allergen label or card, nor is the staff knowledgeable about allergens. When I asked, they couldn't recommend a dish, nor were they sure about the ingredients. I ordered a dish based on luck. And it's such a shame because there are many dishes with rice noodles that could actually be gluten-free and suitable for people with celiac disease. It's a real shame when restaurants still have no idea about allergens, even though they've been legally required to do so since 2014. But without allergies it is definitely very nice here.

I find that this restaurant and all the other Vietnamese restaurants in Dresden or Neustadt have very similar dishes, and not that tasty. It’s still pretty good though. The setting is a plus in this restaurant. On the other hand, as usual it's always the same hassle when you have to pay by card

First time seeing eel soup in a Vietnamese restaurant, very good, strong peppery taste. Pan-fried salmon BBQ, water dragon BBQ, and crispy duck were all very good, served with sweet potato fries (100 times better than fries) and rice. The portions were so huge that we had to work very hard to finish them.

We ate here on our first day in Dresden. Unfortunately a failure. The service was very listless and when you saw the waitress picking up the food and picking the leftover food out of her teeth with her finger, then I lost my appetite. Ambience okay. But tables were sticky, as was the menu and the beer was warm.

The meals were filling, delicious and appealing to the eye. Service was fast.

Unfortunately, the name doesn't say it yet. little authentic Vietnamese food. The spice, sophistication and directness of Vietnamese cuisine are a long time coming. The service attitude of this store is very poor. There were two of us, and the store was quite empty at the time. Buiten op straat is het heel goed vertoeven bij dit Vietnameze restaurant. De bediening is goed en snel en het eten is meer van voortreffelijk. Zowel de voor-, hoofd-, als nagerechten zijn heel erg goed. Een aanrader.
