Great restaurant in Stuttgart's city center with a very good selection of food and very friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is pleasant, even though the tables are close together. The food is delicious, and the portions are more than generous. Since it's located in the city center, there's no parking. In my opinion, the value for money is excellent.

A surprisingly delicious Vietnamese restaurant with authentic dishes, large portions, and very friendly staff! We ordered Pho Ga/Bo/Coco, and the portions arrived at our table in no time without a long wait. The taste was also fantastic. Our only suggestion for improvement: please place chili sauces directly at the table so that guests can add extra to their dishes, as is customary in Vietnam. 😁 The portions of meat and rice noodles in the dishes are also very generous, so the value for money is excellent. 👍🏼👍🏼 Plus, all the waiters are incredibly friendly! 😁 Note: Card payments are accepted for orders over €30; otherwise, cash is required. 🙈

Delicious Vietnamese food in a lovely atmosphere! The salmon and duck were perfectly prepared, and the side dishes were fresh and colorful. The drinks (e.g., homemade lemonade) are also refreshing and stylishly served. A definite recommendation for authentic dining in Stuttgart!

In short. The food was a disgrace for the price. It was very convenient; you could almost see the MSG glowing above the plate. One main course was almost cold. Overall, it lacked flavor. The service was okay, attentive, and friendly. We won't be back; there are much better options in Stuttgart.

Right at the entrance to the Fressgasse on the upper floor, you'll find a very good Vietnamese restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is very attractive and doesn't overwhelm. The food is fantastic! I also recommend the cucumber and lime lemonade; I've rarely tasted anything so delicious. The service is very friendly, attentive, and always has an eye on the guests' well-being. I will definitely eat here again.

Unfortunately, one of the worst Asian restaurants I've ever eaten at. Spices were completely lacking, authenticity was lacking accordingly, and I won't even get started on the high prices. However, the waiters were super friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, I wouldn't eat there again.

I came here 2 times in the 6 days I had in Stuttgart. The food was phenomenal.

The food is okay, but significantly overpriced for the quality. Some orders were not delivered correctly.

It's rare to find that everyone in a party of seven is completely satisfied. Our meals and appetizers were all excellent, and the waiters were all very friendly and accommodating! Even the reminder that it was my girlfriend's birthday was very well received. We had a wonderful evening and would all love to come back again. Absolutely recommend it, everything is just perfect here, keep it up!! :)

The food was delicious. We ordered three appetizers, two delicious dumplings, and some rice paper rolls—all incredible. We then ordered one of the main courses. It comes on a giant plate and is meant to be shared. Although it has a large amount of cilantro, it was delicious. The place is dimly lit, and the service was fine, but at times the waiters were far from the tables and inattentive to the customer's needs.

Das Essen war sehr gut und geschmackvoll. Der Service war aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Negativ aufgefallen ist, dass man erst ab einem Rechnungsbetrag von € 35 mit Karte bezahlen kann. In einer immer digitaler werdenden Welt passt dies nicht in die Zeit.

Very tasty food and large portions, fast and friendly service.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The food was underwhelming in terms of taste – even one star seems too many for that. Particularly shocking, however, was the so-called decorative salad (see the picture): At the end of the meal, I discovered a spider web, a small spider, and even a dead bee in it. This was extremely unhygienic and absolutely unacceptable. The service tried to rectify the situation somewhat – they covered the cost of the drinks and the affected dish (Cochin Bowls). However, this couldn't salvage the overall impression. The house lemonades were okay (see the picture). Conclusion: Unfortunately, not recommended. Hygiene and quality should be the top priority in a restaurant – this was clearly not the case here.

Many vegetarian options on the menu. The ambience and service was also good. The food was not as authentic as I thought. The food was good but not great, to be honest.

Friendly and attentive service and delicious, fresh food

The restaurant offers an interesting selection of dishes at reasonable prices in a cozy part of town. However, there were two disappointing aspects. First, you can only pay by card for orders over €35, which is quite irrational. Second, the umbrellas outside are designed in such a way that customers can still get water.

We had dinner here today. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was especially impressed by how quickly the food arrived after we ordered. It was really quick. The portions were large and delicious!

I had reserved a table for 1 p.m. just to be safe, but my companion and I still chose a table outside given the beautiful weather. Our server approached us immediately and handed us each a menu. We ordered two large bottles of water, a large Coke, and our starters and main courses because we had chosen the dishes from the online menu days before. We didn't even have to wait five minutes before the starters arrived! Everything tasted very authentic (not too "Germanized" in terms of seasoning), and the dumplings were fresh and nice and warm; you could have eaten 20 of them! Soon after, the main courses arrived, with one pho soup containing almost a liter of soup (number 22 on the menu) with plenty of meat and vegetables. My duck was very crispy, hot, and very flavorful with the sauce and vegetables it was served with. We felt well looked after, and our server happily accepted and passed on our requests regarding the spiciness of our food and whether we wanted dessert. We'll definitely come here more often! ❤️

I tried the restaurant yesterday and was absolutely thrilled with the food. The food was very fresh and tasted great. The beef was tender and the vegetables were firm to the bite. The portions are great. I would go back anytime.

Great location. Nice interior decoration, Food is generally good but some dishes such as the beef ruce bowl or the Fresh spring roll lacked flavor and taste. Staffs are kind and very responsive but sometimes hard to communicate easily with them. Overall is a great restaurant.

We have never had such bad food as here. The quality of the meat was not good. I had a mango salad with chicken. The meat was clearly old, as evidenced by the dried edges. The dressing wasn't anything special but it was too salty. The meat from the Bao Bun Burger was also old and its consistency was indefinable, as was the beef from my companion's dish. The full plates were cleared away without comment. All the fun cost us €80. We came because of the very good reviews - I can advise everyone against it!!

We had dinner at Cochin on a Friday evening and it was great. We were able to sit upstairs in the restaurant, the seats aren't so cramped here and it's quieter than downstairs. The food was delicious and the processed foods all seemed very fresh. The request to pack up the rest was also responded to very friendly and quickly.

Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. Due to my gluten intolerance (wheat), I rely on correct information about the ingredients. As it turns out, the information on many dishes is incorrect. Despite repeated references to my intolerance, the staff even gave me incorrect information, which I later discovered painfully. The staff seemed overwhelmed when it came to allergens and ingredients in their dishes, not informed at all, nor made any serious effort. Anyone suffering from allergies or intolerances should avoid this restaurant. Otherwise the food is delicious and the portions are very generous. For us it was still the last visit.

If you like Asian food, this is the right place for you! Really super tasty. The summer rolls with beef were very tasty as a starter. I can't remember the name of the main course but there were four of us and everyone loved it!

What a great find! Delicious crispy dumplings and tempura shrimp. The cocktails were definitely the standout of everything.

Disclaimer: I'm very familiar with tipping culture, but thought that only in the US was it sort of mandatory. I read about tipping culture in Germany and understood that giving it is purely at the customer's discretion - and for good service. In short, tipping is welcome but not expected. Food and service at this Vietnamese restaurant was decent. The service was especially NOT EXCEPTIONAL, JUST STANDARD. All was well until it came to paying the bill. Our bill came up to €46.30; we opted to pay in cash and gave the server a €50 note and €0.30. Without a second thought, he wanted to take our money without wanting to give back change, until I indicated that I was waiting for my €4 change. Pethaps I put him in an awkward situation, because he came back with his wallet and asked if I could help him break a €5 note. We didn't have a spare €1 so we started at each other awkwardly until I decided to give it up and told him to keep the change. He didn't even bother to try another way to give us the change. If you couldn't tell already, he had no intention of giving me back my change and made things difficult when I asked for it. Such an act is dishonest and downright scummy. I had a good time eating there until the tip situation happened. This was a proper sit down restaurant near the main high street of Stuttgart, not a tiny roadside vendor, so I'm sure there were other ways for this guy to source €4. I haven't felt this cheated on a trip since I visited -- funnily enough (or maybe not) -- Vietnam. I put those bad memories behind me until this Vietnamese immigrant in Germany brought them up again with his scummy way of pocketing my change. Reminder: THE SERVICE WAS JUST OK, NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL. For the server and whoever runs the restaurant, I pray that you don't sleep well at night knowing you did something very scummy for a tip. I hope you find that €4 worth it.

The quality of the food is excellent. Had summer rolls as a starter. They were filled almost exclusively with pasta and salad with 2 small halved shrimp that you couldn't taste. This is almost cheating! My friend had Bún bò nam bộ. Unfortunately, the noodles were soggy and missing many ingredients such as carrots and peanuts. When asked about the missing peanuts, the waiters lied straight to our faces that they served it without peanuts. It said on the menu that there should be peanuts in it and it simply belongs in this dish. Really not recommended. The good reviews are doubtful. Give this “restaurant” a wide berth

The food was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the cleaning of the toilet left a lot to be desired. I hope it was just unclean there.

Unfortunately, today was our last visit... unmotivated service and subpar food (it was different a few months ago). Card payments are only accepted for amounts over €35. Construction site on the first floor—the restrooms are full of dirt and dust.

The ambience is nice but the food (we had Bun Bo Nam Bo and the "Masters Noodles" with beef) was pretty bland and bland. Not at all like what I know from Vietnam or from other Vietnamese restaurants here in Stuttgart. Price-wise it's rather expensive for what you get.

Unfortunately, the food was not recommended, we were very disappointed. The starters tasted okay, but the portions were very small for the price. The main courses arrived at the table after a few minutes almost cold (freshly prepared?). The chicken in particular came with ready-made sauce and the consistency of the meat was very irritating (pressed?). Two stars because the service was very friendly.

So I don't understand the good rating here at all. Food inedible and really very small portions compared to the price. Order was incredibly rude and brought the wrong food. Despite repeated requests to bring the right food, there was no agreement. Even the drinks were undrinkable. Rarely have I experienced such poor service and such inedible food!

We (7 people) haven't eaten such bad food in a long time. We didn't finish it even though we were really hungry. The house teas were also not enjoyable. The service was very unfriendly and did not respond to our wishes at all. The restaurant is not recommended, especially for these prices. We don't understand why the restaurant is rated so highly.

We had reserved a table for 7 people. Unfortunately, the table was given to others before our eyes. A reservation here is probably not worth anything if you consider that you are only allowed to pay with the card if you exceed an amount of 35 euros. Furthermore, even though we had reserved, we waited 35 minutes and nothing happened. What a disgrace!! I wouldn't recommend the store.

Fresh delicious Vietnamese food. The service was very good and the food was prepared quickly. It seemed inconspicuous at first but when I went in there was a nice atmosphere and I got a table straight away. There is a second floor with additional seating. The toilets could be reached via the stairs, I'm not sure if there is wheelchair access. The restaurant is also located one floor higher than the pedestrian zone. The rice bowl and the summer rolls are highly recommended. Very tasty tofu in both dishes. I also really liked the Organic Star tea and how it was served. Gladly again :)

Some very good food, especially the Buddha Bowl and Bun Nem. Other dishes, however, are not so good. Unfortunately it has now become very expensive.

The food was bad, cold, served 3 minutes after ordering, so it was not made fresh, which of course you could feel. The restaurant smelled from the entrance, but tempted by so many good reviews, we decided to stay. Big disappointment. The burger was very strange to say the least. The bun was sweet and sticky and the meat was spiced very strangely. Unfortunately not worth the money.

Unfortunately there was pineapple in the Cochin Soul soup (number 3) (it wasn't on the menu). Unfortunately the main course was a total failure. It was Bun Bo Nam Bo (number 20). The meat was dry, the "exotic herbs" were a few coriander leaves, the rice noodles had no taste as usual (fish sauce, etc.), there was so much mango dressing on the salad that you couldn't taste anything else. The peanuts and onions listed on the menu were also missing. Peanuts were brought when asked, but onions were out. Finally there should be Vietnamese coffee with milk. Unfortunately there was no milk in it. When asked they just said "it's at the bottom"... Unfortunately it wasn't. Not a recommendation because the pricing is far too high for the food and drinks... To also say something positive: the portion size was large

Friendly service and good quality of food. Unfortunately, the seating inside the store is very close together, which doesn't provide much privacy while eating. Unfortunately, it was extremely disturbing that many couples with small children were constantly present and this created a corresponding background noise. We had the Pho soup and a daily special with duck. The dishes were good, but the portions weren't really filling for the high price. All in all worth a visit.

We went around dinner time so we had to wait a little for a table, but the service was acceptable given how busy the servers were. The food was also reasonably quick and tasty. The portion is big. The only thing that spoiled it for us a bit was when we saw a big rat running outside on the terrace right under the tables. Luckily it was winter so no one was dining outdoors…

The food in this restaurant was really excellent – ​​fresh, tasty and tasted at a very high level. Kudos to the kitchen! Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was anything but pleasant. The service was extremely slow. We had to wait almost an hour for our drinks which is completely unacceptable. We waited a total of two hours for the food, which greatly dampened the positive impression of the food. In addition, the atmosphere was a disaster. At the next table there was a family with a child who was screaming nonstop. There was also extremely loud music coming from their cell phones, which apparently no one in the restaurant objected to. It was impossible to relax or really enjoy the food. In summary: excellent food, but the service and the unpleasant atmosphere make it difficult to recommend this restaurant. Something urgently needs to be improved here.

Das Essen im Cochin ist echt gut. Der Service freundlich, aber mit zunehmender Dauer unaufmerksamer. Im Erdgeschoss zieht es ein bisschen, was den Aufenthalt stellenweise etwas unangenehm macht.

Het restaurant zag er leuk op de foto's uit, echter bleek het er wel iets anders uit te zien in het echt. Het eten was heel erg lekker, maar was er zo snel dat we niet echt tijd hadden het voorgerecht te laten zakken. Het eten was ook erg duur voor de service die je kreeg, er was niet echt klantvriendelijkheid. Overall was het eten wel erg lekker dus dat maakte het weer goed!
