I visited City Chicken in Neukölln for the first time today and tried the Chicken Menu 1 Special with their special sauce, as well as the Chicken Fillet Burger. 👍 The food was okay, but nothing special. The sauce completely overpowered the flavor of the meat, so you could barely taste the actual chicken. The ambiance and cleanliness were okay, but nothing particularly outstanding. The staff were friendly, but not overly welcoming. Overall, a solid but unspectacular experience—not a place you absolutely need to visit again.

This is a historical place that every Berliner has heard of. In a year it will be 30 years anniversary. This can immediately tell you something about the bet. But all that can say is about grilled chicken. Of all the places I visited, we have grilled chicken, this is one of the best. Today I ran for a quick snack here with wings. At first, the service was not very good, I was ignored, although there was no queue, two minutes. Then, when my order was accepted, I stood waiting and was only told 3 minutes later that I had to wait at least 5 more minutes so that I could sit down and wait. And then it happened that I don’t like most of all in my order: the number of wings and legs was not uniform - 4:2 respectively. Me and my boyfriend love different parts of the wings so it’s perfect for us to divide into two. But here I felt deprived (now you know which part of the wings I like more). Sauces. First I tried the spicy sauce, because I’m a fan of spicy. It first gives more sweet and then opens pleasant notes of spiciness. Mayonnaise - tried and did not want to touch it anymore. Ketchup 7/10. Therefore, I left the spicy sauce completely empty, and I did not touch the other sauces anymore. In general, everything was okay, but it’s okay, not wow.

Chicken full of blood plus rude staff

I had 2 half chickens and 9 chicken wings. What bothered me most was the fact that the order (number on the receipt) wasn't served in the order it was placed. 👎🏻 When I asked when my order would be ready, I got the rude reply: "It'll take a while!" 👎🏻 The chicken wings weren't fully cooked! 👎🏻 That shouldn't happen for a diner that's so organized. The chicken tasted very good and was nice and juicy, and it fell off the bone easily, 👍🏻, although I do like to eat the crispy skin. They can't do that here, whether it's a diner or takeout. 🥲

I just ordered chicken with rice via Uber Eats! It's so easy to order, and the photo says chicken with rice! Both the photo and the description say chicken with rice! Nowhere does it say they add sauce on top! And of course, both dishes were served with lots of sauce! They should send me both dishes again without sauce, like the advertisement says! Unbelievable! Can anyone tell me the solution? Besides, I'm allergic to sauce!

City Chicken = a must for all chicken lovers The price/performance ratio is still good. I was already a regular when the first menu was still €8.90, but now it's unfortunately already €11.90 (that's just inflation). Two negative things: 1) They charge 80 cents for ketchup... that's an absolute no-go for me, and therefore only 4 stars. 2) The red cabbage salad is sometimes so sour... it really hurts my teeth. Better to make it a little less sour, and there's vinegar and oil on the tables anyway.

The chicken burger was really tasty although some fresh vegetables such as lettuce would have added a nice freshness. Fries portion was generous. No physical menus so you had to stand at the counter to decide, which was a bit inconvenient.

You deleted my old review, so here it is again. The chicken was delicious and nicely crisped, but the fries were like regular frozen fries. The waitress could crack a smile or at least look less listless. I'll review as often as necessary; I don't care how many times you delete my review, you scammers.

I loved the old place where I could buy and enjoy roasted chicken with my child. Yesterday morning I was in their shop and had an encounter with the man behind the till which left a very bad taste in my mouth. The man (with a bald spot and comb over) called my order and as I was looking for my receipt he got more aggressive. There was almost no one in the shop so that’s weird that he is impatient when there is only 3 people in the shop. I am a Black woman and I don’t know if that factors in to the rude behaviour but it felt like it did. I will never buy from here again. Why be aggressive if you are working with the public?

I ordered food through Uber Eats. The big box of fries that I ordered weren't delivered. After submitting a problem on the app, I was informed it isn't enough for a refund. I'm disappointed.

The Chicken Special was €8.40. The flavor was noticeably less than last year. There was hardly any garlic sauce, and some of the chicken was dry and small. You don't even get a box for takeout; it's just rolled up in aluminum foil. The special bread was black.

I was a regular customer there. Lebanese and Palestinians used to work there – back then, everything was good and respectful, and the food was delicious. But since Syrians started working there, things have changed: They behave really rudely and approach every woman. I have nothing against Syrians, but I keep having the same experience in different shops.

I wanted to follow this hype and was absolutely not disappointed. The chicken is really extremely good. The hummus and garlic sauce on my meal were also outstanding. The side salad could be better. The ambiance has a Sun Avenue Kentucky fast-food feel, so the attention to detail is a bit lacking. The service is friendly and quick. I will recommend it but will try something different next time I'm in the area.

The original on Sonnenallee is simply cult! The food gets a clear five stars from me: the chicken is wonderfully crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned and very juicy on the inside - plus delicious side dishes such as cole slaw, red cabbage and pickles. There are also homemade dips such as garlic sauce or hummus. A real highlight in terms of taste! I give the service four stars: friendly and quick, even if it can sometimes be hectic when the house is full. Nevertheless, you still feel in good hands. The ambience is simple, functional and mostly clean, typical Neukölln neighborhood flair - ideal for a quick snack, but not necessarily for a long evening. Conclusion: Highly recommended for anyone looking for great chicken!

Since its renovation, the restaurant has the charm of a Chinese restaurant on Kantstrasse combined with an American gas station. The food is good if you don't mind tortured meat, and the exhaust fumes pollute the entire neighborhood. Luckily, it's on Sonnenallee—it stinks anyway.
