Good food that doesn't have the standard taste of other Mexicans. Service quick and nice. Portion just right to large. A bit expensive.

I don't want to insinuate anything to anyone, but 99% of the time the waitress was on parts or other substances. The food is soggy and the limes as a side dish are at least 3 days old.👎🏻

We were there on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation and actually got a free table. The service was friendly, the food arrived relatively quickly and was delicious. A small starter will definitely fill you up. But we missed the taste of the dips with the nachos. Unfortunately, the guacamole and salsa sauce were very mild and didn't taste like that at all. But the burritos were great and very seasoned.

The food was good and the portions were plentiful, but overall quite expensive.

Probably the best mexican food i've had in Germany and the best maitai in the country! reminds me of the maitais i had at home (hawai'i). so delicious and well made! definitely make sure you get a reservation. the staff is very friendly, the atmosphere super chill, and the food is amazing! if you like mexican food with ✨flavor✨ this is a must!

Went there spontaneously, uncomplicated and managed to get a seat despite being on Saturday evening, delicious lemonade, cocktail at happy hour and brilliantly delicious food!

We reserved online through Open Table and were warmly welcomed. The service was very good. The food was also very tasty. The only point of criticism: I don't like spicy food and therefore ordered my vegetarian quesadillas without the salsa casera topping, which according to the menu is supposed to be slightly spicy. That worked too. However, the meal also includes picco de gallo and it is also spicy. I know this from other Mexicans and there it always comes separately in a small bowl and placed on the plate as a dip. Here, however, the quesadillas are served by first putting the rice on the plate, then placing the picco de gallo on top and then placing the quesadillas on top. This means they are also sharp in the end. I then tried to take the quesadillas down and eat them separately. Then they weren't spicy either. I also passed the feedback on to the waiter as soon as I cleared away the food. And also noted on the rating card at the table. This means feedback is desired from the restaurant. I think this is a good option too! I hope they change this little thing. Then everything is great! Otherwise everything there was great and to our liking. Very friendly staff and good portions! We will come back next time we visit Fulda.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Durch die hohen Temperaturen hat sich das Lokal sehr stark aufgeheizt, man konnte auch draußen essen, Tische waren vorhanden.

Das Essen war gut. Service war auch sehr nett. Allerdings habe ich irgendwas im Essen nicht ganz vertragen. Allerdings kann das Restaurant da nichts dafür. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend.

Essen war in Ordnung, wir haben ewig lang aufs Essen gewartet. Alles in allem würde ich nicht nochmal wieder kommen.

Food tasted good. Price performance inadequate. For a dish of 23.90 I would have expected more! So don't come very hungry 😉 Tacos are on the menu, but they weren't available!? 🙁

Geschmacklich war das Essen gut. Jedoch für einen Preis von 23,90 € erwarte ich grössere Portionen. Sehr wenig auf dem Teller! Wenn man grossen Hunger hat, sollte man vorher schon was essen. Somit Preis Leistung ungenügend. Der Reis war mehr als trocken!

We were there on Saturday because it was busy and the staff sent us away with an unfriendly tone. That doesn't work. Even in times of stress, you still have to respond in a friendly, positive way.

Gefragt wurde nach dem Anlass der Reservierung, dies war letztendlich leider völlig egal und man wurde mit anderen Leuten an einen Tisch gesetzt. Da fragt man sich natürlich, warum man vorher angeben kann was der Anlass für das Abendessen ist.

Centrally located, unfortunately there were no more tacos, but the mango chicken salad was delicious. We also really enjoyed the cocktails.

Wie immer, Mega lecker, super Service etc… alles in allem super zu empfehlen.

Super leckeres Essen! Sehr reichhaltig und wir waren pappsatt. Hatten eigentlich eine Vorspeise bestellt, die vergessen wurde, aber das war auch gut. Hätten sonst den Hauptgang nicht geschafft😅 Sind später wieder zurück gekommen, um Cocktails zu trinken. Da hatten wir das Gefühl, dass das Personal mit der Anzahl an Gästen etwas überfordert war, dementsprechend dauerte es etwas länger. Trotzdem lecker! Kommen sehr gern wieder!

Har intet med mexikansk mad at gøre! Fik en burrito med kylling og oksekød, som åbenbart også var fyldt med broccoli, champignon og sukkerærter, hvilket var meget mærkeligt. Smagte ikke af ret meget og manglede krydderi! Virkelig ringe….. Hvis du er til mexicansk mad er det her ikke stedet.

Wir waren jetzt schon öfters dort gewesen und wurden bislang nicht enttäuscht. Die Lokalität ist toll und die Servicekräfte sind auf Zack. Das Essen ist lecker und reichlich. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Wir werden auch weiterhin des Öfteren vorbeikommen.

We reserved a table for 4 people through Open Table. When we arrived at the restaurant, they wanted to sit us at one of two high tables. We didn't agree with that because I'm too small for such chairs and two people have already had knee operations. You can't sit at a table where you can't put your feet up. After we complained about the table, we were told that we should have stated this when making the reservation. However, at Open Table they only ask for special requests and we were not aware that a "normal table" is a special request. We were also not aware that the online reservation was a remaining space exchange and that you would get the worst table in the last corner. In any case, the staff present was neither particularly friendly nor cooperative in finding another table. So we left the restaurant disappointed and hungry and can't comment on the food, drinks, etc. However, we have gained one more experience and will only make reservations by telephone in the future, although Chumbos Fulda will never be able to enjoy this experience again.

Wir haben einen Tisch für 4 Personen über Open Table reserviert. Als wir im Restaurant ankamen, wollte man uns an einen von zwei Hochtischen setzen. Damit waren wir nicht einverstanden, da ich zu klein bin für solche Stühle und zwei Personen bereits Knieoperationen hatten. Da kann man nun einmal nicht an einem Tisch sitzen, wo man die Füße nicht aufstellen kann. Nachdem wir den Tisch reklamierten, wurde uns gesagt, wir hätten das bei der Reservierung angeben müssen. Bei Open Table wird allerdings nur nach Sonderwünschen gefragt und es war uns nicht bewusst, dass ein "normaler Tisch" ein Sonderwunsch ist. Es war uns auch nicht bewusst, dass es sich bei der Online Reservierung um eine Restplatzbörse handelt und man hier den schlechtesten Tisch im letzten Eck bekommt. Jedenfalls war das anwesende Personal weder besonders freundlich noch kooperativ bei der Suche eines anderen Tisches. So verließen wir enttäuscht und hungrig das Restaurant und können keine Aussage zu Speisen, Getränken etc. abgeben. Wir sind jedoch um eine Erfahrung reicher und werden zukünftig nur noch telefonisch reservieren, das Chumbos Fulda wird allerdings auch in diesen Genuss nie mehr kommen.

Leider verhältnismäßig sehr teuer! Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt nicht. Ansonsten freundliche Servicekräfte, gutes Essen (aber für den Preis könnte es definitiv besser/teils auch mehr sein) und nettes Ambiente.

We were there yesterday for the first time and certainly not the last. Delicious food, friendly service and a nice ambience. The only thing that was noticed negatively were the smokers who smoked outside the open window and they had to stay up because it was very warm.

The food was great! The fruity salad with mango is highly recommended and the guacamole is very tasty with the quessedillas. We also found the service to be extremely friendly, especially the young man who took care of our order. The ambience is rustic with lots of Mexican elements, ornaments and decorations - everything in the right proportions without becoming kitschy.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, viel Auswahl, für Allergiker und Veganer.... einfach für jeden etwas dabei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und fürsorglich genauso wie auf Zack. Ich werde wieder kommen:-)

There were four of us here and we were immediately greeted by a very nice waitress. Of course we started the cocktail happy hour with a cocktail. The menu is extensive and, in my opinion, authentic. The food came very quickly, was hot and really tasty. Our group of four each had a mixed starter platter and a main course (fajitas, tacos and spare ribs). At the end we ordered a portion of churros, which the four of us shared; It was bordering on gluttony, but we really wanted fresh churros. The price for each group of two, each with two cocktails, a starter and a main course, was around €100. Not exactly cheap, but the PLV was right for us. I also grabbed a portion of guacamole to take home. Honestly, I could have marinated in that! With every course of guacamole, the bowl was scraped out with a spoon. We two girls sat on a bench that was comfortable. Both of our gentlemen said that their chairs were not that comfortable. But that was the only point of criticism.

Food and drinks arrived quickly, but paying almost 20 euros for quesadillas that are stuffed full of tomato paste just for taste (a lot of acid) is too much. Cheese was just a bland one, probably Gouda. Rice was way too hard. The waitress was asked about it but showed no reaction. We sat outside, the ambience there wasn't particularly noteworthy.

Even though we hadn't made a reservation and it was very busy, the waitress gave us a table straight away. The friendliness of the service staff is something that I attach great importance to when visiting a restaurant and it was absolutely present here. The young waitress who served us was very friendly and accommodating. The food was also great. There is a good selection of vegetarian options and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the dishes, the portions of which are huge.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. They have a lot of options on the menu, including drinks. They offer a wide variety of dishes and drinks on the menu. I tried the Virgin Mexican Lips drink and it was really good. The tortilla chips were served warm and crispy, with three dips. I also had the quesadillas con pollo, which was so tasty. The service was good too, everyone was friendly. I'll definitely come back here and I recommend it to others :)

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Ich finde man sitzt ein wenig nah an allem anderen dran! Bei Ankunft wurde uns gleich gesagt, das um 19:15 Uhr neue Gäste für unseren Tisch kommen, das fand ich auch irgendwie komisch, unter Druck gesetzt waren wir allerdings nicht, wir hatten sowieso noch was anderes vor!

War wie immer sehr schön leider war unser Essen etwas zu kalt aber ok. Das Hähnchenfleisch auf den Tachos was schon ausgetrocknet und hart aber wir konnten damit leben😉 sehr nette Bedienung und nicht aufdringlich wir konnten außerdem länger als geplant sitzen bleiben.

They have some vegan options and I have to say that they are incredible delicious. Maybe you have to wait a little because the restaurant is crowded all time. The staffs are friendly and as fast as they can. It’s a little noisy but I can understand. High recommendation.

Hello, The food was super tasty. We had rump steak and chicken with steakhouse fries and salad. It is important that you make an appointment before you go as it is always quite busy. The ambience was very nice. Service was very nice and food arrived very quickly.

We were here at Chumbos on a Saturday evening. It is recommended to make a reservation here as the restaurant is very full. The service is really great and accommodating. The portions are really very large. A starter and main course could possibly be too much. We shared the starter “flambéed chicken wings” (3 people) and I had a burrito as the main course. The taste of both meals was really great and I can only recommend them. The wings in particular were terrific. The cocktails are very tasty and reasonably priced. Overall it was a very good evening with delicious food and drinks. The ambience was great and I would like to go there again.

We were quite satisfied. There were vegan and gluten free options. Luckily, as a vegan, I wasn't left out here. We were a fairly large group, everything was to our satisfaction. Everyone got their food at about the same time. The waitresses were very courteous and personable. Thank you very much!

The food is a little expensive for the quantity. However, the taste is very good. The beverage service still needs to work a little on perfection. Pulling beer is not their forte. Unfortunately, the seating is not suitable for long stays. It's best to bring a pillow 😜

Es wurde allerhöchste Zeit, dass wir dieses Lokal mal besucht haben!! Eine schöne Erinnerung an unsere Mexikourlaube! es hat alles gestimmt und das Essen war sehr lecker! Nicht nur optisch, sondern auch kulinarisch war die Vorspeise sehr lecker! Mit Tequila flambierte kleine Schweinshaxen! Reservierung ging problemlos online- wir kommen wieder!

Die Tische stehen viel zu nah aneinander, man muss sich anhand des Geräuschpegels laut unterhalten sonst versteht man sein gegenüber nicht, dann kommt dazu das die Tischnachbarn alles mithören können weil zwischen den Tischen 20cm Platz nur ist. Bedienung vergisst einen ständig, wurde keine Hauptspeise aufgenommen… Also unser Besuch war alles in allem enttäuschend …

Always nice service, the food is amazing and the cocktails are special! The only thing is that the place is overcrowded. The tables are placed very close one next to another, so you don't have any privacy.

Cocktails were amazing. The frozen strawberry margarita was to die for. The food on the other hand was not great. It was a big portion, but i found the flavors very bland, especially the beef tacos. For the price i could have made better food at home. It was nothing like real Mexican food. I missed the spice, there was no coriander (instead there was parsley). Little to no jalapenos and there was nothing on the table to make it more spicy to your liking. Also the pico de Gallo tasted like canned tomatoes. It was mushy.
