Havvana Bar in Fulda

We ordered coffee (and an espresso macchiato) and cake on Sunday morning. Both were inedible. A slice of Donauwelle was served hot, for whatever reason, and the espresso had at least three times the water content. The waitress placed the cake on our table but didn't bring a fork or teaspoon. I said we'd like "a couple of napkins," and she actually gave us two (two!) napkins, even though there were four of us at the table, and everyone had ordered something. Extremely uncomfortable benches complete the picture. Never again Viva Habanna!

A truly inviting location. After visiting the cathedral, we found a lovely spot on the terrace with a view of the city palace. This place has that certain something, and its interior ambiance also sets it apart from other bars. The service is attentive, and the pizzas are on par with Italian pizzas. Truly delicious and very well-topped. Next time, I'll try the cocktails. Men, beware: you're being watched in the restrooms (see photos) 😊 A truly creative idea.

Great restaurant, great service, I can only recommend it!

The Havanna Bar serves good food, both main courses and snacks. Drinks are, of course, the same price everywhere. Thursdays are tortadillo day. The view of the City Palace and the Pauluspromenade are fantastic. It's a bit hectic due to traffic, but it's still a lovely place. Delicious non-alcoholic cocktails, but they're quite expensive everywhere these days...

Very good rump steak and beef fillet. Perfectly cooked, and delicious side dishes.

There were about 30 of us there. The service was very fast and friendly. I was a little unlucky with my meal. The menu said it was spicy, but unfortunately, it wasn't. The others were all thrilled with their food. The cocktails were delicious.

The music was very loud, the ambiance was nice, and the service was irritated. Apparently, vegan cuisine hasn't yet made its way into this restaurant. When asked about it, a man with a foreign accent brusquely replied, "Nothing vegan, just vegetarian!" What a shame, never again! A burger joint would be better off! I normally wouldn't have given the food a star. Unfortunately, that's not possible!

Well, a few days ago we followed a recommendation (?) and went there for lunch. Had a "Tortillado de Chef" – the chef would have been better off eating it himself, or even better: securing it. Unseasoned, musty, and served with many canned ingredients, almost raw. I had to laugh when the waitress asked me if she should pack the leftovers. The best woman of all had a starter platter labeled "tapas," which tended to be vegetarian, with a noticeably high proportion of cucumber – for whatever reason.... From the veranda, you get a good view of the local PS poser scene, public transport, and combustion engines looking for a parking space. PS: I should add that the lemonade was good and the service was friendly and attentive. Nevertheless: Once and never again!

If you're going to a musical in Fulda, eating there is almost a must. Great location and delicious food.

The ambiance and view are particularly special in summer. However, the service was rather taciturn, and the homemade lemonade we ordered was, unfortunately, truly undrinkable...

Excellent food, not too expensive. What's especially nice is the cozy terrace. Always packed with people and a relaxed atmosphere.

On the plus side, the summer terrace is located right opposite a beautiful residence/palace, it is beautifully decorated with flowers. Quite fast and attentive waiters. They brought the order quickly. On the minus side, quite worn tables and chairs, dirty toilet, they gave a crooked fork. The price tag is average despite the center.

The food was good, and the prices were reasonable. The staff is friendly and competent, and no matter where you sit, there are always some staff members around. The service is excellent. I didn't have enough ice cubes in my glass, but I quickly got more when I asked. Great!

The terrace is the highlight of this location. A lively atmosphere, a beautiful baroque city backdrop. Prompt service. A large selection of Latin American-inspired snacks. The cocktails, while inexpensive, could be a bit better – the Singapore Sling, for example, tasted very watery. The homemade lemonade wasn't cheap, but it was very appealing! Very popular, so reservations are worthwhile.

Great Latin American flair and food in beautiful Fulda (in midsummer) I'm still going to Cuba, but I assume it's authentic. I know other "Cubans" who don't seem so authentic.

Service and ambience are without question good. But the burger I had... That was a delicious burger. The first two bites were as flavorful as any other burger I've ever had. If I were to be in Fulda again, we would definitely eat here

I was there with my bestie before the night I left Fulda. Drinks are so nice. The batender I couldn’t remember his name, just know he is from Poland, made us very impressive drinks. I hope by chance he can see this comment because me and my bestie were looking for him 😊 as our new friend.

Unfortunately our waiter was very rude. He made us wait for 30-40 minutes even though he saw someone new coming to us. Then he says he forgot about us, which can happen sometimes, we said "but now we get a shot for free", he nods and agrees, and also asks us which one we want. At the end of the billing he doesn't give anyone credit for the shot, but for the last person he adds the 5 shots. He then disappeared really quickly and when you asked he said “Nene, not on the house.”. What's that supposed to mean? Then say something like that clearly and don't be so cheeky as to add it to the bill somewhere without saying a word. That's a cheeky thing.

Every wish was fulfilled immediately and the organization ran perfectly. The food and drinks were absolutely top class! The cocktails – a dream, perfectly mixed and served with great attention to detail. The food was also fresh, delicious and perfectly tailored to our celebration. We were particularly impressed by how individually our wishes were addressed. Our guests loved it and we couldn't have imagined a better place for this special occasion. There is also food, but the highlight here is of course the drinks and especially the large selection of cocktails. The illuminated building already has an atmosphere from the outside and, as the name suggests, everything inside is stylishly furnished in the style of Cuba. In summer you can also sit outside very nicely. Overall, highly recommended.

The restaurant and cocktail bar Viva Havanna is an absolute highlight in the city! As soon as you enter you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. The staff are incredibly courteous, warm and take good care of all guests - you immediately feel welcome. The food is simply fantastic! Every dish is prepared with a lot of love and fresh ingredients. I can particularly recommend the varied menu, which offers something for every taste. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, everyone gets their money's worth here. The cocktails are also a delight! They are perfectly mixed and taste a real treat. The unusual creations in particular ensure a unique experience. Conclusion: Viva Havanna impresses with excellent service, fantastic food and delicious cocktails. If you are looking for a special culinary experience in a relaxed atmosphere, you should definitely visit this restaurant. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So let's start with the negative: From a culinary point of view, the restaurant is not necessarily recommended. Nachos are nothing special, cheese dip is cold (you could have warmed the cheese dip on the table candle, it was tastier), salsa tastes artificial and we don't need to talk about the avocado cream. If you don't make products yourself, then you should at least buy quality products. The bread with the quark dip, which doesn't seem fresh, has more cucumber than garlic and resembles a tzatziki. Ambience open sockets on the wall, holes in the wall, but otherwise cozy Cuban furnishings. You can't complain about the cocktails and the service is also very friendly and helpful.

The Viva Havanna has been around in Fulda for a long time, a bit confusing inside, but definitely cozy with friendly staff. Nice terrace in summer, everyone will find something on the menu. Always worth a visit every now and then.

We were there to drink an espresso. When the espresso was brought to the table I asked for 2 small glasses of table water. The waiter was already leaving and said we don't have anything like that. Even when I said it was just tap water, he just nodded and walked away. When I asked another waiter we got the table water without any problems. The first waiter was relatively young and arrogant. You shouldn't be a waiter with that kind of work attitude. A waiter's job is to serve people. And not to reject tasks.

I always enjoy going back. Nice staff and the food is also very tasty, although you don't necessarily have to eat anything here.
