Every time I'm there, I can't understand the staff! Could you please hire people who speak my language properly? And then they have the nerve to get moody every time I ask them because I don't understand them. It's unbelievable that it's so hard to hire staff who speak the language these days. Besides, the cutlery is always dirty! The food is okay, just your average burritos and tacos.

I can’t get a cup of water from the tap after buying a burrito bowl for 23€. What a joke 😂

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the staff is difficult to understand. I would visit the restaurant again.

The meal was okay. However, the servers didn't speak English or made any effort to facilitate communication. Menus at the entrance would be preferable to having them in the back, or even ordering kiosks.

I really enjoy eating at this restaurant, but I stopped ordering delivery a while ago because, unfortunately, what you often get at home isn't what you ordered. So, whenever I'm in the area and fancy it, I go to the restaurant, order, and take it to go. Today was one of those days again. I was on the Zeil in Frankfurt and got a chicken bowl. At the end, I always ask for a side of guacamole on the bowl and an extra large portion to take away. I emphasized this three times today. The cashier told me, "Yes, that will cost double," and I said, "I know that, absolutely no problem." We discussed it three times. They charged me €4.35 for the portion on the bowl and then another €8.70 for the large guacamole. And the end result? When I opened the bowl, there was no guacamole, which is incredibly frustrating because you pay almost €26 for this little bit of food, and then you're basically ripped off for €4.35. I've stopped ordering delivery, gone to the restaurant, and taken it home, and it's cold because I really like it, and then this happens. I paid €13.05 for guacamole and only got what should cost €8.70. That's one way for a company to make a profit.

The food tasted good, however the rice was unfortunately not cooked well enough, but it was filling for the price.

I arrived at 10:45, since the place is supposed to open at 10, but the staff was eating. When I asked when they would open, they said they were taking a break (While eating) and would open in 15 minutes. If it doesn’t actually open at 10, please update the opening hours

Deciding on a bowl with freshly made guacamole and tachochips on a whim was a great idea. Now that I understand how the ordering process works, I can easily imagine coming back and I'm happy we spontaneously had something delicious for lunch.

Great food although the portions could be better. It being located at the mall makes it busy often. But overall will always be a go to!

I ate Chipotle for the first time today, so I asked the man in front of the ingredients a question, but he didn't understand anything and passed my dish to his colleague who closed the burrito. The result: no sauce or cheese because they don't care about their customers. In fact, when he closed it, he tore the burrito, so the rice was spilling out everywhere, impossible to eat with your hands. At the register, they just shoved the card reader at you without any courtesy. Honestly, this place is only interested in making money.

Not sure why there are so many people complaining about this in the reviews. It's totally fine, and if you're expecting Chipotle...it's Chipotle.

FOOD POISONING!! I gave a restaurant a chance for the first time, even though I only eat healthy food. I thought I'd grab a quick bite at Fitness First before going to the gym. I immediately threw up in the bathroom 30 minutes later. I had terrible stomach pains all night. I woke up 3-4 times during the night and threw up again. My stomach can't digest the junk there. I would never recommend it to anyone. Stay away from such companies. The chicken is always reheated and used from the day before. If you want a stomach ache and want to spend the whole evening on the toilet, this is the place for you!

Brutally overpriced, I'll pay three times at mces before the burrito is worth it

The food was of the usual quality, although I had to eat my burrito with a knife and fork. Unfortunately, the staff put it together so carelessly that it fell apart while adding the toppings. This wasn't surprising, though, given how quickly the ingredients were crammed onto the flatbread. Ordering felt like a chase—which detracted from both the service and the food.

I ordered a bowl there for €11.95 and during the ordering process, I was asked if I wanted all the ingredients on top. The same goes for the guacamole, for which I wasn't informed that it would cost an additional €4.35. The guacamole portion is the size of a scoop of ice cream. I will never go there again because I feel like I was completely ripped off.

I tried Chipotle for the first time in Frankfurt yesterday and I'm extremely disappointed. I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up, and now I'm lying in bed with a 104°F fever. Of course, everyone digests their food differently, but when I threw up, every grain of rice and every piece of vegetable was clearly visible. Try it at your own risk, but I don't recommend it to ANYONE!!! The employees barely spoke German and stuffed something they had no idea about.

The food is quite good, but the service is really bad, and the food distribution isn't good either. One woman gave us half of what another worker had given us. Our burrito felt like it was only the size of a fist. For 11 euros, that's a total robbery.

Excellent service and food that tastes amazing, but the prices are far too high, making it a rare option. Besides that, it doesn't quite match the taste of Chipotle in America. Still, it's a relief that another fast food chain has ventured into Germany.

It's very delicious, but try to come before it closes so that more dishes are available.

Food is the same as other Chipotle locations, but service is lacking. They don't let you say what you want, just 'do you want A or B', leaving out other options. Worse, they had this 'happy hour' buy one get one free thing. They didn't offer me a free one. I was wrong not to have asked. When I was leaving, I checked their promotion outside again, and its conditions are quite clear. I then went to ask for the free one, but they said that I didn't ask for it 'in time'. I think this is fraudulent and wanted to report them to the police, but it's not worth the trouble---still worth the trouble to leave a negative review, though. Remember: ask them for the free one! Don't let them get away with an excuse.

More mold than people in the booth Juice shop

The food was delicious, but they ripped off my wife and me at this happy hour. During happy hour, you get two of what you ordered. My wife and I simply asked if we could each get two. Logically, that would have been four. The manager was asked and confirmed that we could get four. All the other guests received the normal amount for two. Only we received half and half for two each. Info for everyone: if you order something, it's best to order without knowing the other person you went with.

Was really nervous about coming here because it was a sunday so I wasn't sure it was open and because of the ratings, luckily it was open and everything was great, good portions and tasted the same as the locations in the US.

High prices with average taste. Staff also not the friendliest. When we went, they ran out of rice, meaning we had to wait 15m for them to cook more rice. This shouldn’t happen. Also, they use Avocados heavily for advertising but its not included. A singular scoop of Guac is over 4€.

Great value for money, fast food which is not junk food

Such a great meal before the concert. It was simply fantastic, the tacos were very juicy, and the bowl stayed fresh until the evening. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was really cozy. 100/10 ✨️

"What else do you have?" "Just bowls." "Okay, then a bowl with honey chicken and..." "We're out of chicken." "Vegetables?" "We're out of veggies." "Can we shorten this, please? What isn't available?" "Beef and pork." "Good. Then a bowl with brown rice, beef, guacamole, and..." "We're out of guacamole." I was out of guacamole, too. Then please don't claim you're open until 9 p.m. if you don't feel like running the kitchen more than an hour beforehand.

Really disappointed with my visit to Chipotle. The portion size was way too small – definitely not worth the price. On top of that, the food was cold, like it had been sitting out for a while. Everything was thrown together so messily, it looked like they didn’t care at all. Not coming back anytime soon.

I wish I could give zero stars. There was no rice left, and no alternative was offered. This was at 7 p.m. Poorly organized and managed store. Such a great franchise in such poor management is simply a shame.

Early in the evening they are always out of ingredients and don’t take new orders. Why can’t you simply plan ahead and cook more food so you can serve your customers consistently all the way until closing time? I’m not speaking about late orders shortly before the restaurant closes but I have been trying to get food here multiple times around 7pm and there was always something going on, either they were out of rice and it would take them 30mins to cook new rice or they closed the doors altogether and didn’t let new customers in. Please fix this!

The bowl is half empty… paid €12 for this. In the US they fill the bowl up. Look at the amount of salad 😂 At this point it’s simply nothing but a scam.

First of all when we came in it was a long line to order and we waisted a lot of time there anyways the food was a bit pricey dish for 2 was 40€ and the food isnt that good like in other restaurant in Frankruft would not recomend it if you are comming...

I ordered a chicken burrito – unfortunately, it was quite a disappointment. The burrito was completely overloaded with sauce, so it dripped and splattered with every bite. The end result was more like a soup than a main course. The taste may have been okay, but the consistency and the ratio of filling to sauce were completely unbalanced. You wouldn't want to eat something like that with your hands or have it floating on your plate. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it – less (sauce) would definitely have been more. The passion in the preparation is also lacking.

2 Buritos, ONLY buritos 33 Euros and on the menu says Buriito Chicken ~12e. Just go somewhere else.

Just went there and tried it out. Despite the long line, it moved quickly. The staff was friendly and explained everything quickly. I had the chicken bowl. I thought it tasted very good. It was good value for money. I got a good portion. The tortilla chips were very good. I'd like to have one nearby and visit regularly.

I went there today for the first time to try it and I have to honestly say it was the worst burrito I've ever eaten. The staff aren't friendly because they can't cope with large crowds, and you pay half a kidney for a bit of guacamole and they don't even tell you that it's extra. Unfortunately I had to throw my burrito away after this huge disappointment, even though I'm the last person who doesn't finish my food or takes it with me when I'm full. All in all, I can only recommend that you definitely don't go there, and if you do anyway, my condolences in advance!

10/10 If you order the burrito bowl with veggies and all the toppings, there's plenty in it. A bit more authentic, but it tastes like it does in America.

Very inconsistent pricing for extras, low portions (before and after adding extra), employees are terrible with the treatment of the food.

I’ve been a big fan of Chipotle for years and have eaten there in different countries. Everywhere else, I’ve found them consistent, fair, and generally pleasant. Unfortunately, my experience in Frankfurt was really poor. The portions were all over the place—it genuinely depended on who was serving you. Sometimes it was a decent scoop, other times it was ridiculously small. In other countries, you never have to worry about it. I also found the staff’s attitude pretty unfriendly overall, which made the whole experience worse. To top it off, I noticed I was charged different prices on different visits even though I ordered exactly the same thing each time. Honestly, they really need better training and a fairer system for serving. I won’t be going back, and I’d advise others to pay close attention to what they’re served and what they’re charged.

They ran out of main ingredients hours before closing. And what they had didn’t taste good. Unfortunately, only place within a few hours where we can get Chipotle. Super disappointed.

The Chipotle Mexican Grill is located in the MyZeil food court and is easily accessible via the long escalator. Orders are placed at the counter and drinks are served from the refrigerator. The restaurant was quite busy and accordingly noisy. The food, however, was incredibly delicious, especially the chipotle chicken with honey and chili.

Someone said it was better than Taco Bell, but that was a lie. Oh my god, the most boring fast food in a long time. But it's filling.

You can only taste cilantro 🤢. That was probably the last time we ate there. Never before have we tasted the cilantro as much as this time. Simply disgusting. And overpriced, too. Never again.

The burrito was simply unbelievably delicious! Highly recommended. Also positive were the friendly staff who helped us choose.

This is the kind of place you end up eating at when you can't find a decent restaurant and don't want to resort to junk food 🍔🍟🍗. It does its job, which is to satisfy your hunger. The dishes are customizable, though once you have the tray in your hand, you'll have to decide quickly, like on an assembly line. The dining room is spacious but fills up easily during lunch and dinner, and on weekends.

Delicious burritos. Unfortunately, they're relatively expensive. There's an 8-cent deposit on bottled drinks, but you get it back upon request. The cashier was a bit irritated when I asked for my deposit back. There are bins for returning bottles. See previous reviews regarding the deposit. The food is delicious and the portions are large. The chain has a unique location in the region and in Germany.

This is my favorite Chipotle and I have eaten at a lot of different ones in the world. It’s very clean and well run!

Very very yummy, but the portions have gotten wayyy smaller over time. I used to get huge bowls that i couldn’t even finish, and now i get maybe a small scoop of rice which leave me hungry. However, the food here brings me so much joy. I love eating the scrumptious tortilla chips with guacamole and a burrito or a bowl. It really is to die for, but since the portions have been decreasing and the prices have been increasing, I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Very filling, tastes solid, but the steak died twice—I'd rather have the chicken. We barely had to wait, but the loud music meant you could barely hear the wait staff (and vice versa). The price was reasonable, but the guacamole was way too high, even though it was delicious. You can do it, but you don't have to. It's still worth the experience, imo :)

I ordered my food, and my burrito was already four stops away before I could even hear anyone ordering. The person in front of me picked out the side dish for me because I couldn't understand the server, even though I didn't even know the person in front of me. The server spit a little in the sauce while talking because he had a speech impediment, but that was still the best part of the entire experience.

Really really bad service and very unfriendly ! They refused to accept our voucher. Additionally they exchanged the burritos and my vegetarian friend got a burrito with chicken. Like wtf? All in all experience cannot recommend !!!

There are 6 employees in the store, half of whom are standing around instead of cleaning the tables... or working... the ordering counter is very unhygienic and needs to be cleaned urgently. Burrito €15.45... very economical with the contents, so the burrito turned out small and wasn't rolled properly. In fact, it was squashed and everything spilled out. In the end, I was able to eat my burrito with a fork. In response to my comment - "The burrito is very small today," the cashier said...

Worst experience!! I had a bowl of chicken and the chicken wasn't cooked through! I had salmonella afterwards🤮 and the food was very salty! Never again

I had dinner at Chipotle with my friends today and was pretty happy. I enjoyed both the side dishes and the main course, even though guacamole costs extra, which is actually part of Mexican cuisine. Nevertheless, I found the welcome from boss Hassan very worth mentioning, as he took great care of the customers. I would also like to thank the cook Sujida, who prepared the food for us. Definitely worth a visit 👍

We (Mexican and German) know Mexico and its dishes pretty well. We were very impressed with the taste of our burritos at Chipotle. Here you will get your fill deliciously. If something goes wrong, owner Hassan always has an open ear and takes personal care of his guests. We'll definitely be back.

Food is okay, similar to the states. Location is good inside mall. Service was bad and rushed, overpriced, and portions are really small (about 1/3 what you normally get in the states, i had to ask for more rice, more beans, more cheese and more sour cream! Chips, guacamole, drink, everything felt overpriced.

I hope the People in charge of this chipotle are going to fix these issues of Rude staff, Cold food, Hygiene Standards.

Even ordering was difficult because no one spoke German. One wonders how these people can sign their employment contracts. So I didn't receive exactly what I ordered. By 5 p.m. (opening time until 9 p.m.) both possible vegetarian variants were missing for a second order and they didn't want to make anything new. This is hard on demand...past. But because you're standing in a queue and everything has already been slapped on the cake, you don't say "Then nothing, thank you" and leave. But you should do it. The overall combination options and presentation of the few possible components are not very appealing, but in terms of price it is just “MyZeil”. The meat components are not described further, you can't imagine much under "barbacoa" and "carnitas" and it doesn't look meaningful in the bowls either. “Sofritos” is then explained, but what the difference to “Veggie” is is not. It quickly becomes boring, this system catering reduced to the lowest denominator. You can also go to Taco Bell there. In terms of price, a portion of guacamole for €4.35 isn't exactly a bargain either. I thought the nachos were okay, that's why I get the second star. Overall, I felt more like I was at the Alcatraz food counter. Everything was slapped onto the plates more or less carelessly, communication was not possible because no German or English was understood, neither when ordering nor at the checkout. Everything had to happen as quickly as possible. Even McDonalds or BurgerKing are more relaxed.

I recently visited Chipotle in the MyZeil shopping center in Frankfurt and left with rather mixed feelings. The store itself is very clean and modern, which makes a good impression at first glance. The presentation of the counter and ingredients was also neat - everything seemed fresh and hygienic. Unfortunately, the ordering process was a bit chaotic. The employees tried hard, but seemed slightly overwhelmed and uncoordinated with each other. In addition, it was sometimes really difficult to understand them because it was quite loud and not everyone spoke clearly. This made it difficult to communicate when putting together my burrito. The ingredients tasted okay, but the food wasn't really prepared warm or reheated - which is what I'm used to from comparable concepts. This detracted from the eating experience for me as the burrito was lukewarm. The portion size was also rather small. For the price I paid, I would have expected a lot more - especially compared to other fast food alternatives that offer larger portions for a similar price. What I also noticed negatively were the sometimes high surcharges for extra toppings. Of course, it's understandable that certain extras cost something, but I honestly didn't find the price-performance ratio to be quite fair. Overall, I just expected more for a fast food concept of this type. In terms of taste, my burrito was completely okay - nothing really bad, but nothing that particularly stood out either. It was just solid, but not so convincing that I would necessarily want to repeat it. Conclusion: If you are in MyZeil and want to eat something quick, you can definitely stop by here. For me personally, however, it wasn't a highlight, and I think in the future I will choose an alternative where the overall package of taste, price and portion fits together better.

In terms of taste, the dishes were ok, but not particularly Mexican. The store itself wasn't exactly inviting either. We definitely won't be visiting Chipotle again.

The price is a disgrace, standard fast food for a lot of money. Small independent restaurants do this better than the chain and are also €5 cheaper. The food itself doesn't taste bad, but I don't know who can manage to eat the square burrito without cutlery and not make a mess at the same time. That was the first and last time here.

Went to have a late lunch with my son. Asked for a kids meal and they told me they ran out. 5 minutes later I saw another child with a kids meal.

Super friendly and attentive team, the food was super fresh and tasted to the point. I can only recommend everyone to go here and eat...

Had bowl with chicken for €11.10. Portion was okay, bigger in the USA! Tastes the same! When it comes to ingredients, vegetables (peppers, onions, etc.) seem to be overlooked and corn is used. Everything really has an announcement. An 8 cent bottle deposit is charged for drinks. But who will bring the bottle back? Didn't see any! All in all okay.

The portion here is an insult to Chipotle in the US. Only about half of what you get in the USA. It's a real shame the direction in which this branch has developed. Update February 25, 2025: Has noticeably improved. The employees are nicer and the portions are finally more normal again. Keep it up please👍

Anyone who has been to the USA knows Chipotle. Tastes exactly the way you know it from there. I haven't had any bad experiences at this branch so far.

Best place for a quick bite. Healthy and delicious Mexican food - burrito, tacos, rice bowl and salads. Staff are quick and speak German and English.

This location went from a 1 star to a 5 star for me. Seems like a completely new set of staff, they are friendly, they don’t rush patrons and they give a good serving size!

We really enjoyed the burrito and the bowl. The cashiers were also very nice and accommodating. The ambience is a bit louder. Which of course is always more the case with fast food restaurants. But all in all we were satisfied.
