Very rude people there with overpriced food that is decent at best. Met friends there and sat at the same table with them, one had to leave and paid for their meal. The waiter came over to take her plates and I said to leave the rice as I will eat it. The waiter tried to grab the rice bowl and said it was not mine! I paid 8 Euros for 3 very SMALL pieces of shrimp. This is the worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. Avoid the place. I will never return there.

My partner already wrote a review for this restaurant, but it was deleted. Therefore, I would like to describe our experience again: My partner has a food intolerance, and it's always very difficult for us to find something to eat. That's why we're always pleased when the menu states: "We are happy to inform you about any allergies or intolerances." We were at the restaurant late on December 1st. There were hardly any other guests, so there was no pressure on the waitstaff. My partner explained her intolerance to our waiter, an older gentleman, presumably the owner, based on what I gathered from other reviews, and tried to find something she could eat. By the third question, the waiter was very impatient, and by the fourth, he was angry, ended the conversation, and simply left our table. In 53 years, I have never experienced such disrespect in a restaurant. I tried to de-escalate the situation and explained that we were simply looking for a basic food item without the ingredient in question, but the waiter refused to cooperate further, stating that he couldn't take such a risk. This was truly the first restaurant that refused to offer her anything.

We ate at Essen on November 10th, 2025. It's one of the few restaurants that's open on Mondays. It's exactly what you'd imagine a Chinese restaurant to be: velvet and silk, colorful and vibrant. There's an aquarium and a fountain. The place is a bit dated, but the owners and the excellent chef make you forget that. Delicious food and a lot of fun!

The good news first: the food was delicious, and the younger waiters were great. But the older waiter was awful! When he threw the cutlery on the table, we were almost ready to leave. Then, after what felt like forever, only two of the three dishes we ordered arrived. When we asked about it, he became very rude instead of simply explaining why. The chaos continued at the neighboring tables; we kept hearing things like, "I didn't order that" or "Where's...?" What a shame...

I visited the Chinese restaurant in Stuttgart-Möhringen a while ago and have to say the atmosphere feels a bit dated. The furnishings are worn, the carpet has clearly visible signs of wear, and the banquettes also show signs of use. I was bothered by the fact that the warming plates had been repaired multiple times; it doesn't make the best impression. Furthermore, the menu seems cluttered and confusing, making it difficult to choose. The food was okay, not outstanding, but certainly edible. However, the service was less than ideal. The owner seemed to be in a bad mood, which was noticeable in his interactions with the guests. The wait to pay was quite long, so I ended up paying at the counter. While there, I was given to understand that cashless payment methods weren't preferred, which was very unpleasant. I think that friendly and approachable service is important for every guest. For these reasons, I won't be returning anytime soon.

Large selection, quick preparation, even at 9:30 pm, delicious food, large portions, good value for money.

We were here for a business lunch. The welcome was friendly. I found the menu very confusing, and it was also completely overloaded with dishes. The restaurant seems a bit dated; many things are very worn, especially the plates and the plate warmer. The food wasn't anything special and was quite expensive for what it was! We've had half the price of a much better lunch special at other Chinese restaurants. The restrooms are old but were clean.

Charming restaurant with a very varied menu offering a wide selection of Chinese and Thai dishes (the menu is more or less translated into English). We tried what we thought were spring rolls, but we got a huge fried spring roll, which was nothing special in terms of taste. The vegetable soup was decent, as was the Thai-style chicken and duck, which was very generous. The service is fast but not very friendly.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby to come here often. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to.

We were in Stuttgart for the musical and had already picked a restaurant to eat at. Decorated like a classic Asian restaurant, we encountered very friendly hosts who were very quick and always ready to serve us. We had a soup with rice noodles and chicken, a chicken wonton, and a main course of Asian noodles with chicken. The wontons were great for the price and well-filled. The soup was also okay. The main course was delicious, exactly what we expected. We enjoyed it, and the price was okay. Unfortunately, only cash payments were accepted. But there is an ATM outside the door. Overall, a good experience, a solid 4 stars, definitely worth it before a musical.

Super delicious and fun. Always friendly and a wide selection of Chinese and Thai dishes. The quality has been consistently excellent for years. We had a Barolo for the first time. Never thought you could get good bottled wine at a Chinese restaurant. The fire duck was very good, and the vegetarian dish with tofu was also very tasty. Good lunch. Definitely recommended.

I've been a long-time customer but we always order and eat at home, which has always worked very well. Yesterday we decided to eat on site, which we deeply regretted afterwards. The owner/service was extremely unfriendly and bitchy, the atmosphere was almost unbearable. His wife greeted me nicely since she knew me well, but he was already annoyed with us and probably just wanted us to eat and leave. After we asked for the bill he just didn't come, only when he saw that we were leaving (he was probably afraid that we would leave without paying) did he suddenly come. I will definitely not go there or order from there again and I will not only pass this on to my friends who have always recommended it to me.

A very entertaining evening with great food! The cozy and authentically furnished restaurant is somewhat hidden in a residential complex. The service seems a bit hectic, but is always up for a joke. The taste of the food was acceptable, the service and therefore the ambience were completely poor. People were rushed, shouted at and the food was just slammed on the table in the spirit of “Eat and get out!” Unfortunately, it wasn't a single employee having a bad day, but the entire staff who served us. An experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I hope the review will make the restaurant behave a little better for future guests…

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. As soon as I entered I was confronted with an unfriendly attitude from the waitress. The atmosphere was unpleasant and it almost seemed as if the guests were viewed as a burden rather than a welcome. A particularly unpleasant experience was being literally shouted at if you didn't know the court number by heart. Instead of helpful tips or a friendly tone, you were shouted at, which made the atmosphere extremely unpleasant. I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant. The food may have been okay, but under the circumstances I could hardly enjoy it. It's a real shame that the service stands out so negatively, because good food alone is not enough to satisfy guests. I definitely won't be back and can't recommend this restaurant.

We went to this restaurant yesterday and were extremely disappointed. The service - apparently including the owners - were unfriendly, annoyed and almost rude. Polite questions were answered rudely and the tone was anything but hospitable. One had the feeling that guests here were more of a nuisance than welcome. It's a shame, I definitely won't be coming back.

We reserved a table for two people and were overall satisfied. We particularly liked the ambience - the Chinese style is very attractively implemented and contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. We chose the “Happy Family” menu, which consists of a starter, main course and dessert. All dishes were extremely tasty, but the dessert was definitely my personal highlight. Unfortunately, there was one point that somewhat spoiled our experience: After eating, we had to wait over 20 minutes for the bill, even though we had requested it several times. You notice that as the restaurant becomes more busy, the service quickly becomes overwhelmed, which leads to longer waiting times.

The drinks and appetizers came quickly and the main course didn't have to wait too long either. But the dessert itself took 30 minutes and I went to the front to pay after about 20 minutes because we didn't want to wait any longer. Unfortunately, the service is under constant stress and does absolutely nothing when it's prime time. It's a shame and could definitely be improved with another power.

Everything homemade and freshly prepared, no frozen spring rolls or anything like that. The taste is also very, very good. Friendly service and an ambience like you would expect from Chinese restaurants. Since I wasn't there because of the atmosphere but because of the really good food, 5 stars across the board!

My first visit ends with me crying and my eyes normal. I'll start with the positive. Ambience very well maintained and clean. With tablecloths and as has long been known in Chinese, the food is placed on separate plates, on the warming plate. Visually very attractively arranged. Nice warm plates. The food tasted delicious, it was hot and plentiful. Price performance is really top here. Now to the criticisms. We had to wait over 1 1/4 hours for the food. Over half an hour for the drinks. About 40 minutes to get the bill and I couldn't even pay with the card. I should have said this beforehand, it's due to the cash register system. Very stressed service staff, too many people for the number of staff and probably too few staff in the kitchen. I'll test it again. I hope things get better then.

Light relaxing music is playing in the environment. The employees are friendly. The atmosphere is designed entirely according to the Far Eastern style. Even though I went at dinner time, there were quite a few boi tables in the place. Its high capacity provides an advantage in this regard.

Large selection as a lunch menu, friendly, fast service, but the food was rather average: the rice was overcooked, the vegetables in the fried noodles were practically non-existent and the curry sauce for the chicken was very watery. The Chinapalast Restaurant is a large and very spacious Asian restaurant. The food is prepared in a timely manner. The food is tasty, but nothing outstanding.

Delicious food and a short waiting time despite the restaurant being full. Friendly service that is geared towards musical visitors and cinema visitors to the Si Center and, with their good time management, does not leave the guest feeling rushed.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate Lunar New Year and was severely disappointed in every single way. The service staff was abysmally rude - from jerking the menus out of my friend's hand and spilling water all over her outfit and mobile (then yelling at her about it when she said something?!?!), grabbing my credit card out of my hand and scolding me, correcting my order and giving me something else instead without explaining, and a myriad of other issues... The service staff's presentation was also lacking, from dirty/unclean/stained jackets and dirty fingernails to pushing you and getting into your space as they delivered the food (after waiting nearly 1.5 hours) and getting their sleeves into the dishes... everything was a disaster. I barely ate anything (they even forgot our drinks), but I'm glad I didn't finish it because I spent the whole weekend suffering from unpleasant "tummy issues" if you know what I mean. Horrible experience, do not recommend. Poor service. Bad food. Bad atmosphere. Zero stars.

Slow and rude service, actually terrible service. We waited over an hour and a half for the food... Staff is trying to gaslight the customers, rudely speaking and at the end of the evening were yelling at us, AFTER they spilled water all over our cell phones and clothes... unbelievable! The food is very very oily and not very flavourful... DO NOT make the mistake to come here!

Went Saturday to get take out. Walked in and placed an order. I waited an hour. When I got home and ate, I was disappointed. Good wasn’t very good (except the won ton soup which was pretty decent). Overall not worth going.
