The service and ambience were mediocre, but the food was really delicious.

I've been here twice recently, and the service has steadily improved. Last time, I had dim sum and rice noodles, and I found the dim sum much more refined. The coriander dumplings and shrimp dim sum were delicious, completely different from pre-made, half-baked dishes. Today, I ordered fish-flavored shredded pork, but I made a mistake. They also had a pickled pepper version. After taking a bite, I found the dish lacking any flavoring other than the spicy pickled pepper, which was a bit off. So I asked the waitress to add a little sweet and sour sauce. She politely took it back and made a new one. I was so touched! I've been here many times, and it's by far the best handmade dim sum I've had in Germany! And the properly prepared fish-flavored shredded pork really does have the flavor of the traditional dish! Love it!

Not so fresh especially the meat, and for this quality it is over 100 Euros. Too much MSG also. ONLY good thing is that they are quick.

This time-honored restaurant, renowned for its quality, has found a niche between the discerning Chinese and the Germans who prefer fried rice and noodles. They insist on serving authentic Hong Kong dim sum and Yunnan rice noodles, a dish you can only find at the restaurant. The food is truly amazing and authentic!

I went there with my father and sister for dim sum. The selection was good, including classics like har gow, cheung fun, taro cake, and fried noodles. The taste was really decent for Germany. Not exactly cheap—a bit more expensive for three people. But definitely recommended for an authentic yum cha experience!

Extremely, extremely disappointed!! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! We ordered the roast duck, and it was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The price was around €55, which is reasonable if the food meets at least a normal standard—but the quality, quantity, and taste were all disappointing. First, the crispy skin was barely there—maybe only 1/6 of a duck—and it wasn’t even crispy! The pieces weren’t cut properly either; instead of neatly sliced portions, it looked like the chef just ripped off random chunks without any knife skills. Second, the duck meat was completely separated from the skin, making it even worse. The meat itself was extremely gamey, dry, and not fresh at all! It was so bad that we couldn’t eat it and ended up wasting everything—something we never do, but this time it was simply inedible. We also ordered the salt and pepper duck bones, but again, the portion was tiny—probably only 1/8 of a duck at most. For €55, I expected much better. The food was low quality, small in portion, and absolutely not worth the price. This was our first time at this restaurant, and it will definitely be our last.

There was no one there at noon on a weekday, so the food was served quickly. The overall taste of the food is okay, and the dim sum tastes good after a brief taste. It is considered a more attentive Chinese restaurant.

For us, the best dim sums in Düsseldorf are here! Finally some that are handmade and don't fall apart immediately! So delicious too! The restaurant has certainly been around in Düsseldorf for more than 20 years and we recently rediscovered it. Very busy so come early or make a reservation! The two waiters are the owners who do everything on their own at the front, from taking orders, bringing them and billing. Food comes quickly and very hot. We can highly recommend it!🥟🥟🥟🤤

Chance missed! Here we are in Düsseldorf and hope to be able to eat authentically...unfortunately no! We were here just after Christmas evening (and I had reserved online). The restaurant was normally full (but the back room was apparently occupied by a large party). We were given a small round table for our group of four directly between the cloakroom and the toilet stairs. The decoration of the room is 80s 'chic'...with a wobbly table etc, but everything seemed quite clean. You can order either using a QR code or an illustrated menu. We ordered the Guo Tie (Pot Glue), Steamed Rice Noodle Roll, Double Fried Pork (Hui Guo Rou) and the Songshu Guiyu (Mandarin Fish in the Shape of a Squirrel). The service was slow at first, then the level dropped to 0. Drinks arrived, and with long pauses, our food gradually arrived (not as it should, everything in a fairly brisk sequence)....the large room next to us, on the other hand, experienced a steady flow of fresh food...whatever, what arrived was sad. The rice rolls were the positive highlight: juicy and well seasoned (4/5). After that it all went downhill: The pot glue was too hard and was served completely without sauce (no vinegar, no soy, nothing: 3/5). My actual favorite course (at least in China and Karlsruhe) the Hui Guo Rou was more than disappointing, neither spicy nor seasoned nor fried twice...1/5 because it was warm. The ultimate disappointment, however, was the 'Mandarin Fish' - you can just understand that in Germany the fish is served without the head - but that it is served tasteless and drowned in generic sweet and sour sauce is not. The breading was WAY too thick, not at all fluffy and tasted like banana and was fried too dark. The whole thing for over €24 was more than cheeky. 0/5 Heartlessly presented cuisine with completely overwhelmed staff - possibly due to the holidays----but then just take fewer guests!! Unfortunately that was NOTHING AT ALL. No recommendation. 4 pax, just under 100€.

A few weeks ago we visited this restaurant. The food was a little below average, very normal and greasy, but nothing tasty. The duck's skin wasn't crispy and the other dishes were too salty. The interior is dated but it is clear that it is an old Chinese restaurant. Looks dirty, I think. The service is the worst I have ever experienced! An old Chinese woman was rude when we tried to order food and spent some time choosing, she was not patient at all. Even when my wife (Chinese) spoke to her in Chinese, the lady became more and more impatient. Afterwards we decided not to tip for such poor service. But my wife heard the manager whisper some swear words to us. Never again!

Very authentic Chinese restaurant. You feel like you're in China again. The staff speaks Chinese and most of the clientele is Chinese. The Peking duck is like something from Beijing and there is a lot of choice when it comes to eating it. The parking situation is a bit difficult because everything there is very expensive.

The service was not good, the food was served very slowly, and the small pot rice noodles were so bad that I couldn’t eat them! The drinks were not served until we left. The waiter came to check in in a hurry. The dishes were really hard to describe🥲

Vor Jahren sind wir einmal dort gewesen. Das Erlebnis war nicht so besonders positiv. Da das typische China-Restaurant-Erlebnis der 1990er-Jahre ja leider zunehmend ausstirbt, dachten wir an dieses Restaurant, da es schon Ewigkeiten in Düsseldorf ansässig ist. Aber, so ein Pech für uns, seit Anfang 2024 ist alles anders. Die Gerichte sind durchweg sehr fleischlastig, Gemüse bekommt man eigentlich nur in Form eines Hauptgerichts. Die freundliche Kellnerin klärte uns dann auf. Etwas Gemüse gab’s dann dazu. Wir erfuhren: Reis muss extra bestellt und bezahlt werden; Die typischen Gerichte gibt’s nicht mehr. Keine Wan Tan Suppe, keine gebackene Ente mit Gemüse, keine gebackene Banane mit Honig. Dafür Gerichte mit Ochsenfrosch und Entenblut. Entsprechend schwierig gestaltete sich die Speisenauswahl. Es wurden dann die „Acht Kostbarkeiten“. Ein Begriff den ich von früher kannte machte mir etwas Hoffnung. Aber es kam ein eine recht schleimige Mischung aus zuviel Tofu, etwas Fleisch, Pilzen und wenig Gemüse. Bekommen ist aber alles gut und die Kellnerin war irgendwie distanziert aber freundlich. Es war wohl der letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant…

My husband and I were there with Chinese friends and had a very good meal. Original Chinese Peking duck with many ingredients and sauces. The fish was also delicious. The service was good and we also liked the rooms. It was well attended and reservations are advisable.

The Peking duck with pancakes is the best. The skin is crispy, the meat is juicy without the game taste and the hoisin sauce is nice and sweet. We came pretty late in the evening, but it still tasted amazing. This dish was around 50 euros when we ordered it.

Ich war vor vielen Jahren in China und die Restaurants dort sehen ungefähr so aus wie der Rosengarten. Eine beeindruckende Liste von Gerichten, die man sonst eher nicht bekommt. Das Publikum spricht für sich, außer mir saßen ausschließlich asiatische Gäste an den Tischen......und die wissen genau, wo es gutes chinesisches Essen gibt. ZB hier im Restaurant Rosengarten Ehrlich gesagt....ich hatte Hunger und hab mich für was "Sicheres" entschieden. Dim sum und Rindfleisch mit Paprika. Beides köstlich .Beim nächsten Mal werde ich ein "exotischeres" Gericht probieren. Im Restaurant, aber vor allem im Untergeschoss, bei den Sanitäranlagen, ist ein gewisser Renovierungsstau zu beobachten.

Hier besteht dringender Renovierungsbedarf. - Wobei im ersten Schritt Putzen schon mal eine gute Idee wäre...

Very authentic Chinese food, Peking duck is the best! They also have Cantonese dim sum that they make themselves. There are also some special foods from Yunnan Province. It's worth a try, you won't regret it. It's very close to the central station. If you wanna go there on weekend, you'd better to make a reservation in advance.

Zugegebenermaßen kamen wir Mittags kurz vor Schließung in das Restaurant. Die Bedienung fand das offensichtlich nicht so toll und war nicht wirklich amused und zeigte dies auch in einem nicht als freundlich zu bezeichnendem Verhalten. Das Essen war recht ordentlich war nur bei früheren Besuchen deutlich besser. Die Berechnung der Beilage (Reis) hat uns etwas gewundert. Sollte im Gesamtpreis enthalten sein. Fazit man kann dort hingehen, man kann es auch lassen. Es gibt bessere chinesische Restaurants in Düsseldorf.

We walked in for dim sum on a Sunday at 11:30 when they opened. This place is 3 min walk from the Hbf and was really delicious. All of the dumplings had great herb flavors. Like tiny chives in the Siu Mai, ginger in the soup dumplings, the coriander in the shrimp dumplings was also so fresh. Giant banquet tables with Lazy Susans, too. The service was quick, everything was served piping hot. The servers were very friendly and switched between English, German & Mandarin without missing a beat.

Food is good, don't leave without trying the Beijing duck. The problem, in my view, is the dining room. It is not very spacious for the amount of tables arranged and you will have the feeling to be very crowded. Moreover the place looks not cleat at all.

Wir hatten eine gute Erfahrung mit den authentischen, chinesischen Gerichten. Geschmorter Schweinebauch von Rosengarten stand auf der Spitze unseres Abendessens. Die Wonton-Suppe war eine gute Vorspeise. Meine Mama und mein Papa (Indonesien-Born Chinese) sind überzeugt, dass hier das beste chinesische Restaurant in Deutschland bis nun ist.

服务态度很好，点了松鼠桂鱼还有烤鸭还有其他的。但是鱼是超市冻柜的鱼排做的，但是50欧一只的烤鸭，竟然没有鸭腿。这正常吗？

这个小锅米线真的是坑…一点中超雪菜和少得可怜的猪肉末炒了炒 加上米线就完事了 还不如自家买个米线煮一煮多加点料来得好吃。我和孩子们吃完之后 晚上狂喝水 里面应该味精不少。前后几桌其他客人都有点这个米线 也都在那边说 真是一碗毫无亮点平平无奇的米线…….

Food was okay. I liked the dumplings the most and the gyoza. The rest of the food was not to my taste. Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere was kinda off, furnitures are very old and it wasn't as clean as I expected to be.

点了豉汁凤爪，姜汁菠菜，东坡肉，水煮鱼。 前两个还不错，后两个要重点批评下。 东坡肉我就吃了一块，剩下的如照片，几乎都在，就吃了点皮，原因是猪肉的臭味太重了一点，很影响体验。 水煮鱼份量挺足的，但是不知道为什么，鱼片的黄酒味儿有点重，也不辣，豆芽的话我觉得还是换黄豆芽才是绝配。 没给一星是因为，我觉得可能和疫情有关系，所以算是理解分和鼓励分，由于客流量大幅度减少，备菜可能没有那么新鲜了。而且朋友说之前的水煮鱼不是这个味道。 希望不要形成恶性循环。 50欧元北京烤鸭一只： 整只烤鸭的骨架如图3；份量肯定没有一整只鸭，大概相当于德超买整鸭的百分之四十左右。 避雷：不要点水煮牛肉 水煮鱼这类的菜。
