Fusion cuisine? Anyway, the service (male) was simply unprofessional, not a friendly word. You didn't feel welcome. You had to order food immediately upon arrival and couldn't really greet your other guests. When ordering, the waiter rudely commented on every meal you ordered, saying, "That's it," "Just the food." Older people were addressed informally, but you didn't get a glass with your bottled drink. The food was okay. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

My wife and I have been eating at the "Evil Chinese" restaurant two to three times a month for several years, specifically the hot platters. We have always been and continue to be amazed, as was the case today, by how delicious the food is there. We're happy to travel approximately 30 kilometers for this. The service staff there is very attentive and always friendly! I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant—also on behalf of my wife—for both the food and the service. Some of the furniture seems worn, which is why I'd only give it three stars for the ambiance.

The service was very courteous and prompt. The food selection was very good. A bit more expensive than the "classic Chinese" restaurant, but the dishes were creatively selected and beautifully garnished. You don't have to worry about not getting full. You're more likely to have leftovers. The cocktails with their creative names also live up to their promise. We sat on the terrace. I found the large screens with, admittedly beautiful, images of Asia a bit distracting. It's a matter of taste. All in all, I highly recommend them.

We weren't happy with the restaurant's dog policy. We arrived with a small Chihuahua, and at the entrance, we were told it wasn't a problem; they even provided him with water. However, later, we ordered our food, and when the waitress saw that the dog was sleeping peacefully on the chair behind me, she insisted that the dog had to lie either on the floor in a basket or on the chair with a blanket. The food was delicious. We had the spring rolls as a starter, which are highly recommended. My wife had the duck on a hot plate, and I had Master Fey's crispy duck. The only thing I didn't like was that everything was served in a bowl. Also, there's no draft beer. The ambiance on the terrace is quite nice. All in all, it's worth a visit.

Definitely my favorite Chinese/Asian restaurant in all of Düsseldorf! The food is unbeatable! Very fresh, with very high-quality ingredients. The portions are also reasonable. The ambiance in the Media Harbor is, of course, very elegant and beautiful, both inside and outside. However, you definitely need to make a reservation. It's also anything but cheap, which is understandable given the location and the quality. The staff/waiters could definitely be better. They're attentive at first, but once you get your food, you become uninteresting as a customer. They don't ask you in a timely manner if you'd like something to drink, let alone if you want to pay promptly.

We spent our wedding anniversary lunch there. It's rare to find a parking space along the side of the road, but there are parking garages. We walked in to a very chic, inviting atmosphere. Very modern and tidy. The early reception was very friendly. We then opted for a seat outside, which is also very cozy. The service was extremely friendly. The food was delicious, and so were the lemonades. This certainly won't be the last time we go to the evil Chinese restaurant, which is anything but evil 😉

My first and definitely last visit to the so-called "Evil Chinese" – the name couldn't have been more fitting. Today was my first time at this restaurant and I sat down at a free table outside. Immediately afterwards, a waitress rather rudely reprimanded me – I should please ask before sitting down. Since it was my first time there, I obviously didn't know that. Shortly afterward, we were moved and served by another employee, who made it clear through her demeanor and facial expressions that she obviously didn't have much enthusiasm for her job. When I politely asked to cancel my order just a few minutes after placing my order, I was told it wasn't possible – and was even threatened with the police. I paid for the food but didn't touch it and left the place immediately. It's a shame – the food actually looked really good. But with that kind of treatment of guests: Never again.

We had a group booking of 10 this time. Wait staff are great, very accommodating even for last minute bookings. The food is fresh yet well seasoned and the portion size is filling. If you have starters then most likely you will need to take the some of your main home. Overall good ambiance and food. I frequent this spot when in Dusseldorf mediahafen.

Reservations are easy, even at short notice, and are always confirmed quickly. The staff is attentive and friendly, and wait times are pleasantly short. The food is consistently very good – the excellent value for money at lunch is particularly noteworthy. The interior is cozy, and there's a spacious terrace outside with plenty of space. Personal tip: Be sure to try the salmon on rice for lunch! Fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked, and served with an absolutely delicious coconut sauce – simply addictive.

Parking in the Media Harbor is, of course, a matter of luck, but there are also parking garages nearby.

Today celebrated Easter Monday with the whole family, a total of 9 people... tried it out for the first time and were not disappointed. The food was great, the service was attentive and quick and the atmosphere was very appealing. Will come back!

We really enjoyed the food at the "evil Chinese". The dishes tasted really good and the service was attentive and friendly. However, we had to deal with unwanted gastrointestinal symptoms the day after our visit, which makes us think a bit about the quality of the ingredients.

Eating there today on Easter. I tried three different dishes: Decadence in the Summer Palace has a tasteless, angular sauce The wontons were way too greasy/oily. And the Ha Cao in the bamboo basket tastes like nothing. The prices are outrageously high. Most dishes are grilled vegetables with various toppings. We won't be coming back.

I was actually looking forward to eating, but was unfortunately disappointed: There was a piece in my dish Plastic. This is not only unhygienic, but also potentially dangerous. I reported this to the staff, but they were treated rather indifferently - no apology, no offer to make amends in any way. Very disappointing. For me that was the last visit.

We ordered two main courses, two spring rolls and a soup through Wolt. The soup and rice for both main courses were forgotten. According to the statement on the phone, the soup and rice could have been delivered later, but the rest of the food would have been cold by now. Our expectation was that the main course would be delivered complete and fresh and exchanged for the cold, incomplete main course. That would at least be a reasonable service rather than refunding a ridiculous fraction of the bill.

Tiefkühl Garnelen und Fertigfleisch mit so viel Sojasoße versetzt, dass uns danach richtig schlecht wurde. Alles schmeckt gleich. Die angeblich selbstgemachten Nudeln sind hart und schwimmen ebenfalls in Sojasoße. Das einzige was gut war, waren die Getrönke, obwohl auch diese mehr als überteuert sind. Also wir können es auf keinen Fall empfehlen. Kommen nicht mehr wieder.

The prices for the main courses range between 19 and 25 euros, which seems reasonable for the quality and ambience of the restaurant. To start, we opted for the starter platter for 2 (€20), which had a good selection of different treats. We would particularly like to highlight the spring rolls, which were perfectly crispy and tasted very convincing. The fried wontons were also very good – crispy and tasty. The chicken skewers were well seasoned and juicy, while the green dumplings were okay overall - this makes you wonder if they're really homemade. For the main course we chose the wonton noodle soup (€19.90), which unfortunately wasn't entirely convincing. There were only three wontons, which was a bit too few for us. Although the noodles were al dente, there was something doughy about them that made them a little harder to eat, and the broth seemed more standardized and less homemade. We also had fried flat rice noodles with shrimps (€21). The shrimp were well cooked and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, which we really liked. The taste of the flat rice noodles was good overall, but nothing special. We also tried fried flat rice noodles with beef. Overall, these were rather sweet, which we personally didn't like. Again, the vegetables were fresh and well cooked, but the sweet taste of the sauce made the pasta seem less successful to us. Another irritating point was the garnish on all the plates: There was a large sprig of curly parsley on each plate - was that intended as decoration? Carrots and radishes were also on the plates, but unfortunately they were neither marinated nor seasoned, which we found to be a shame as it made them seem more like a side dish than a flavor addition. Overall, the restaurant offers a solid experience that still has potential for improvement in some areas. There are certainly tasty dishes, but some could use some improvement in sophistication and presentation. Overall, we would have expected more for the price and the ambience.

The Evil Chinese in the Medienhafen in Düsseldorf is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. The vegetables were freshly prepared, the duck was crispy and low in fat. The homemade noodles were also to die for. The conditions were very friendly and explained everything very well. We were very satisfied and therefore give it 5 stars. Keep it up!!!!

The tables are placed very close together, so that you can hear everything from the table next to you, but the people you're talking to can't always hear it. The service wasn't necessarily friendly either, but rather slightly annoyed (my personal feeling, someone else may have felt it differently). But that could also be due to the time of year with many groups of Christmas celebrations.

I was there shortly after 10 p.m. to grab something to eat. As soon as I was inside, someone called out to me from the other side asking if they could help me. I immediately felt unwelcome. The employee then came over and repeated his question in a rude and annoyed manner. I was probably interrupting his conversation with his colleague. When I said that I hoped he could help me because I would like to order take-out, he said that the kitchen was already closed. I was surprised and said that on Google it says open until 11pm. Unfortunately, the waitress (a younger Asian woman) in the area where we sat was quite unfriendly and condescending. Menu has some good lunch options. It changes every week. The food is good and you get good value for your money. The service is most of the time quite fast, but it can take more time when it is busier.
