China Restaurant Mr. Wu in Lübeck

I was there for the first time. The restaurant is very big. The parking lot associated with the restaurant is also very large, so I didn't have any parking problems.

Unfortunately very disappointing. My girlfriend and I were there on Valentine's Day and were really looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, the evening began with the first disappointment at reception. Instead of a relaxed table for two, we were seated at a table with 6 other seats. Even when we asked the staff, no understanding was shown and we were only told that everything was reserved. So we resigned ourselves to it and went to the buffet. Unfortunately the food was also very bad. The freshly grilled meat was more than well done and had no taste despite the sauce. Furthermore, the food itself was either completely tasteless or completely oversalted. After a few hours we ordered the bill. 70 euros for this meal and this service...I don't know. A disappointment for us and we would have preferred to choose another restaurant. We'd rather stay away...

I can only warmly recommend the buffet to everyone. A nice selection and well-tempered dishes. The selection of desserts is also excellent.

This is our first time here and we can honestly say that it is really delicious here. Price performance completely deserved, rarely can you get such good food at a buffet. Thanks for that!!! TOP!!!

On a Friday evening at 6 p.m. it was uncomfortably crowded, loud and the service couldn't keep up with the food.

On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, we were with Mr. Wu. We sat outside. Right at the beginning we were asked rather rudely if we wanted to eat buffet. We denied this. We ordered duck. I have the number 17 with various mushrooms. It didn't take long for the food to arrive either. That was the only positive thing. The duck was so crispy and dry that you could hardly see or taste any duck meat. So I bit on some pretty hard pieces that didn't taste like anything. There was hardly any sauce, so the rice had to be eaten quite dry. 17.90 euros is a proud price for that. The plates were cleared without asking whether it was tasty. Then came the unfriendly question: “Anything else to drink?” We said no and my friend's empty glass was taken away. Three minutes later the next waiter (we had three different ones in total) came and asked about the drinks. When he saw that my glass was now empty, he immediately took it with him. We felt like we had to vacate the place as quickly as possible, even though half of the seats outside were still free. We hadn't said yet that we wanted to pay and would have liked to have stayed seated for a moment. But since we were now sitting in front of a completely "naked" table, it was quite uncomfortable. Except for the Asian waiter who took the cash, the others were unfortunately quite unfriendly. I imagined "Mr. Wu" to be completely different. My conclusion: No tasty food and unfortunately not very friendly service! It was our first and last time eating there!

We were there again after a long time...I was very disappointed...not like it used to be...the only thing you could eat was the Shusi...the buffet was very plundered at 4:30 Sunday and not very tasty...The... Service with a cell phone to my ear when operating didn't work at all...Never again...

Large selection, some of the food was only lukewarm, extremely loud and uncomfortable in the restaurant. Buffet too expensive at almost 27 euros per person.

Unfortunately for us 1 star is still too much. We wanted to spend a nice evening there. When we arrived at the restaurant it was quite loud in the area. When we had a table and had just sat down, a service person came and asked what we were doing I wanted to drink, I hadn't even taken off my jacket and replied that I didn't know yet. The gentleman walked on arrogantly and then said to me again in an hour. I asked indignantly what he had said. He went on, we wanted something like that didn't bid and went to the counter and asked for the management which was more or less refused to us. They pretended if they didn't understand us or didn't want to. CONCLUSION we left the restaurant. You don't have to put up with something like that and it simply can't be excused. We then went to Phönix, it was very harmonious there, very nice and attentive service, nice not so loud ambience, food was also great, that will be our new favorite Chinese, we spent a nice evening there.

Unusually large selection at the buffet

The food is excellent and the selection at the buffet is almost endless.

We were there on New Year's Eve with 3 people, I would like to share my experience. It was overcrowded and unpleasantly loud, some of the staff were very unfriendly, others tried to make things good despite the full house. Unfortunately, the food was below average, although we've had a buffet there in the past, which was much better. Unfortunately, the quality has declined and the selection could have been better. For the price, you could have expected more. So I can only advise against eating there. There are much better buffet houses. Unfortunately, all three people felt that this was inadequate and is not recommended.

Went there yesterday. The beef with mushrooms dish should be called Mushrooms with Sporadic Beef. 8 strips of meat is ridiculous. The service is nice, the seats by the windows are well ventilated, it was drafty like pike soup. Not again. Too bad.

We are here for the first time today and received a very warm welcome. The food was simply delicious, there was something for everyone for 5 of us. We will definitely come back and say thank you very much.

Wir gehen schon einige Jahre bei Mr. Wuh in Lübeck essen und waren immer zufrieden , leider mussten wir am 26.12.24 und auch heute feststellen das die Qualität leider sehr nach gelassen hat ,es schmeckt einfach nicht mehr so gut das ist wirklich sehr schade...

Had dinner there today for New Year's Eve. The food was OK as always. Nevertheless, despite mega bad service. Very unfriendly staff made you feel really unwelcome. And when I went out I was insulted by the employee. The last time I ate there with my family. The service really gets 0 stars!!

The staff would be better off in a kebab snack bar without table service. If you do your job so reluctantly and let the ambience sink to a very low level, you should look for something else. The only exception is the Asian service.

It's just great at Mr.Wu, you can eat really well 👍 there is a really good selection when it comes to food. You can either choose something from the menu or help yourself to the extensive buffet. You can also celebrate there with a larger group. In summer you can also sit and eat outside on the terrace. There is also a small playground for the children next door.

The concept of a buffet with kangaroo meat etc. is not my thing per se. Everything is very heavily seasoned with MSG. Result of the lunch buffet, children were puking in bed at 4am. So we'd better leave that in the future.

We were there on family day because, as always, the food was plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately a bit crowded. But understandable because the prices were reduced slightly on Family Day.

Very tasty buffet, definitely plenty for vegetarians too. There is a cold and warm buffet, shushi and sweets for dessert. A great ice cream machine and a chocolate fountain round off the meal. Very tasty, very diverse and nice service.

The lunch buffet was lukewarm, when we asked we were told that the heating plates would be turned off automatically! Nothing was added either! Price/performance doesn't fit! The service was inattentive, the used dishes stood at the table for a long time and were not taken away. When paying, the waiter had an I-pod in his ear! So not recommended at all!!
