Delicious good food at a fair price. Nice employees. Personally, I would like a little more sauces and sushi.

The food today was delicious and filling. There is no longer a buffet in the evening. We ordered from the menu and everything was delicious. We were there again and nothing had changed, still delicious.

Disaster.... You really can't offer something like that as a buffet... Maybe a maximum of three dishes to choose from, the rice is drying out in the display (probably belongs in a pot after all), three of each are as good as cold and probably old, dry pieces of duck (probably from the day before yesterday)... Also a few pieces of breaded chicken, which somehow tastes like soap... The salad selection is limited to a(!) small bowl of mixed lettuce, shriveled corn and a large plastic bottle of French dressing of unknown age.. Simply unappetizing... So either you've had a bad day, or you're just stupid enough to offer something like that... Above all, somehow no matter what you try to use, everything tastes almost identical, killed off with spiciness and acidity. It really has nothing in common with Asian food or a buffet that would even come close to justifying the price...

We ate here for the buffet for the first time yesterday. The food itself tasted good. Unfortunately, the buffet is too small for the mass of people and it takes far too long for it to be refilled. Some dishes were not refilled at all. Go on to our old Chinese restaurant.

I had lunch, I was disappointed with the small portion, I had beef with morels and vegetables with a very small portion of rice. I had to look for beef and I ordered more rice. I also had to pay extra.

Very tasty fresh food...you can tell that everything is freshly cooked here with high quality ingredients. There is no buffet in the evening which is a welcome change. Nice service and nice ambience. You shouldn't let the Rewe coat put you off. It should also be noted that only EC cards are accepted as payment. EDIT: Lunch buffet and weekend buffet are also back. The selection is smaller than you know, but 10x the quality. We're regular guests here and they're always delicious. 😊

Today around 10 p.m. we wanted to go to the chau restaurant for the lunch buffet. What we found: empty gastronorm bowls, dry rice. People who were hungry and immediately pounced on food, no matter what came out of the kitchen. Cleanliness was a given and nothing more. Conclusion: This Chinese place is not worth a visit unless you like bumping into each other and fighting over the food buffet. We moved on to the Merlin grill where we got our fill without a fight. WORST CHINESE IN SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN

Great space even for larger groups, great parking, extremely friendly staff, delicious food. We come here often for the riders' get-together on Saturdays, and also privately with the family.

A very cozy restaurant that offers an evening buffet on weekends for €24.90 per person. During the week there is a lunch buffet for €14.90 per person. There may not be as many dishes as in other restaurants - but they are of significantly higher quality! The taste of the food is really different than the mass processing that usually exists. In the evening there is also a huge fresh salmon prepared deliciously. Pleasant quiet music really ended the day in a very pleasant and relaxing way. The service was very friendly and took loving care of us. The sanitary facilities were very clean. And for everyone who can look or ask questions, there are also chopsticks 😅

There were four of us there and ate hotpot. This is not on the menu but can be pre-ordered. We have 33€ p.p. paid, soft drinks (and beer) are included as well as dessert. There were more than enough side dishes for the hotpot, including a huge plate of fish. A lot of vegetables were also served upon request, as there was a vegetarian among us. The food was extremely tasty, everything could have been topped up but we were well served with what was served. The waitresses were super friendly and accommodating, explained all the side dishes and also showed how to hold the chopsticks. We will definitely eat there again, there was nothing to complain about at all 👍🏻

When I visited the Chau Chinese Restaurant, I was absolutely amazed by the quality of the food. The duck fat fried noodles, crispy duck and perfectly cooked rice exceeded my expectations. Although it was surprisingly empty at the 7pm rush hour, which contributed to a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The view from the first floor, which we were able to enjoy thanks to the large windows and our position directly at the window, was not spectacular, but still pleasant. The silence in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, although I suspect that with more guests it could be significantly louder due to the tiled floor and the lack of sound insulation between the tables. The chairs without felt under the legs contributed to an increased volume on the tiled floor, which could certainly be annoying in a full restaurant. The background music was pleasant and added to the atmosphere without disrupting the conversation. I was a little disappointed that there were no chopsticks and instead they used classic cutlery, which didn't quite meet my expectations of a Chinese dining experience. The possibility of a buffet was suggested by a buffet table, suggesting that a buffet would be offered at certain times, perhaps at lunchtime. This, as well as the special lunch specials, seemed an attractive option that would probably attract many guests. The decoration in the restaurant and the atmospheric lighting contributed to a pleasant dining experience, as did the friendly service. The menu, although overall well structured and more informative than many other restaurants I have visited, I felt it needed improvement in some areas. In particular, I missed a more precise list of ingredients in the dishes, which is particularly important for guests with special dietary needs or allergies. This additional information would make it easier to make an informed choice. The price level is a little higher, but given the excellent food quality, service and atmosphere, I find it reasonable. However, I reserve the right to reconsider this assessment should the restaurant offer a different atmosphere at different times on future visits. I plan to visit the restaurant a few more times at different times to get a better impression of the atmosphere with different numbers of guests. Until then, I'll keep my final opinion on the relaxed environment recommendation to myself. In conclusion, Chau Chinese Restaurant is a great choice for anyone who appreciates quality Chinese cuisine. I look forward to revisiting the restaurant under different conditions and rating it based on these further experiences.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. The beef was fried to perfection so that it was nice and tender and the vegetables were still a little crunchy. The service was also good. Attentive and very friendly.

Sehr lecker tolles Buffet alles wird frisch nachgereicht gute Auswahl bin begeistert

Das Lokal befindet sich im Obergeschoss des Rewe-Centers im Stadtteil Marli. Wir hatten ein Gericht von der Mittagskarte. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsbuffet am 1. Weihnachtstag 2023 und ziemlich enttäuscht. Vor Jahren waren wir immer sehr gerne dort und sehr begeistert. Doch mittlerweile: Wenig Auswahl, es wird unzureichend nachgelegt. Zeitweise standen wir vor leeren Behältern. Kein Sushi, kein Mongolengrill mehr. 29,90 waren dafür eindeutig zuviel. Drei aus unserer Gesellschaft aßen aus der Karte für rund 20 Euro pro Gericht. Diese drei waren sehr zufrieden und wurden beneidet. Fazit: Das Buffet kann man vergessen.

Das essen ist im Vergleich zu anderen Chinesischen Restaurants eher schlecht, Buffet wird meistens schleppend nach gefüllt. Die Kellner schlurfen in ihren mindestens 3 Nummern zu großen Schuhen unfreundlich und lustlos durch den Laden. Die Preise sind eher weiter oben angesetzt und nicht gerechtfertigt. Früher waren wir oft da, mittlerweile gehen wir lieber zur viel freundlicheren und leckeren Konkurrenz. Ist ja auch schon komisch, das vor Jahren mal wegen Renovierung über ein Jahr geschlossen war?? Danach ging es nämlich Bergab mit dem Laden. Update 26.12.2023: Auf Wunsch meines Schwiegervaters sind wir heute tatsächlich mal wieder dort gewesen, tja was soll ich sagen, Mittagsbuffet für sage und schreibe 30,- pro Person 😳 Einzelne Stücke Ente & Hühnchen liegen auf Tellern auf dem " Buffet " alles leider sehr trocken und meistens kalt. Unterm Strich haben sie es tatsächlich geschafft, sich noch zu verschlechtern und dabei die Preise aus der gehobenen Gastronomie zu nehmen 😡 140,- für ein eher schlechtes Mittagessen zu viert. Frohe Weihnachten 😱 Mich sieht der Laden jetzt endgültig nie wieder.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut und wird warm serviert. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Wir waren schon paar mal da und immer wieder sehr lecker. Die Ente frisch, knusprig und sehr schmackhaft. Die Chefin sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Jetzt gebe ich eine Änderung hinzu: Wir waren zu 4 Personen zum Essen. Bei unseren 2 Essen machten wir eine Umbestellung und zwar wollten wir kein Reis dafür aber nur 1x Nudeln 4.00€. Da wir nicht soviel schaffen! Berechnet wurden die 2 vollwertigen Essen und zuzüglich 1 x Nudeln. Begründung: Das wäre zusätzliche Arbeit!! Für mich unerklärlich! Auch Reis wird für 1 Portion mit 4.00€ berechnet!!!! Für mich Wucher! !! Auch das letzte Mal. Noch zu erwähnen wäre: Sonntag Abend bis 22.00 Uhr geöffnet!!! Um 21.15 Uhr wurde das Restaurant gereinigt noch im Beisein der Gäste! Also gewischt!!! Wo gibt es so etwas.

Ich war persönlich sehr überrascht! Schönes Ambiente, tolle und schnelle Bedienung. Ich war mit meinen Kindern da, auf diese wurde klasse eingegangen. Kann es nur empfehlen!

Dieses Restaurant hält hoffentlich für immer diese gute Qualität. Ihr seid super.

Wir haben uns die Peking- Ente gegönnt. Alles war wunderschön angerichtet, frisch und einfach köstlich!

Leckeres Essen zu moderaten Preisen. Waren hier schon öfter essen und bisher immer zufrieden. Meistens sitzt man da fast alleine, hat dafür aber auch seine Ruhe. Das Personal war bisher immer sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Leute....Warum sind Eure Bewertungen so unbarmherzig? Das Essen, welches hier angeboten wird, ist 1. Frisch 2. Wird heiß serviert 3. Nett angerichtet, wie es für chinesische Küche üblich ist. 4. Personal ist überaus höflich. (Wie es in den Wald hineingebrüllt wird, so braucht man sich nicht wundern, dass einem ein Kühler Wind entgegen weht)- soll heissen:- legt man kein vernünftiges Verhalten an den Tag, braucht man sich nicht wundern, dass man mit gleicher Ignoranz behandelt wird!- Man geht in ein chinesisches Restaurant, um abzuschalten und sich wie an einem anderen Ort zu fühlen...dann muss man sich auch den Geflogenheiten anpassen! Wenn mal ein Gericht missglückt ist, mangelt man dies direkt im Restaurant an und bekommt kompromisslos, neu angerichtete Speisen und nicht in einer Rezession im Internet. Denn wenn man es nicht direkt regressiert, trotzdem bezahlt, ist man bestenfalls ...selbst Schuld! Und Mittagsmenü wird zum -wie der Name schon sagt, Mittags aufgetischt.Wenn man nun erst um 1400 Uhr noch eine Große Auswahl an Speisen erwartet....hmmmm?? Ich hoffe das China Restaurant Chau bleibt noch lange Jahre dort bestehen.

Eine kleine Perle auf Marli. Sehr leckeres Essen und ein makelloser Service. Man sollte sich nicht davon täuschen lassen, dass das Restaurant im OG des Rewe-Center liegt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind davon getrennt und sehr gepflegt.
