Nice, clean interior, food was ready really quickly, but unfortunately only lukewarm, but that's overlooked since we asked for a hot plate and declined—our own fault 🤷🏽. Nice service, keep it up.

We've been going to Ming Garden for years because of the excellent taste, ambiance, and service. The price is more than fair, contrary to the negative reviews, which I can't understand... It's a quiet restaurant where you can eat well, even in large groups. Highly recommended❤️

The food is great and thete is ample free parking. Too bad they are understaffed. The beef and broccoli and squid with ginger sauce is really good at a reasonable cost. I will be coming back.

The food is always individual and fresh. Super tasty and another "old" Chinese with a warming plate at the table. Even the spring rolls are homemade and the Peking soup always tastes slightly different and we love it

First and foremost, the service is by far the most unfriendly I've experienced in a long time. Impatient, brusque when asking for the menu, overwhelmed, and without a smile when splitting the bill. Since at least they didn't refuse us food, it's a mandatory mercy. Otherwise, this behavior doesn't particularly whet your appetite... The food isn't bad otherwise. But you shouldn't expect a relaxed experience at this place.

Die Bedienung, die gleichzeitig die Inhaberin ist, sucht ihresgleichen was das Versprühen von perfekt schlechter Laune, Ungeduld, Barschheit, rollenden Augen und genervtem Gesichtsausdruck angeht. Eine Prise unfaire Behandlung von Nicht-Stammgästen kommt hinzu. (Sie kann durchaus selektiv freundlich sein, aha, geht ja doch) Das Essen an sich schmeckt mir, und es gibt eine Karte für authentisch chinesische Gerichte. Das Ambiente hat schon mal bessere Zeiten gesehen, aber hebt sich noch etwas von Fast Food Restaurants ab. Aufgrund der höchst unfreundlichen Bedienung erscheint es wie ein Wunder (oder etwa Gnade?), überhaupt Gericht und Rechnung auf den Tisch zu bekommen. Daher kann ich das Restaurant nicht empfehlen, außer man hat keine hohen Erwartungen an den Service.

I can't understand the bad reviews! I had the best duck there in a long time. The duck breast was very tender and definitely not deep-fried like in fast-food restaurants. The skin was super delicious! The spring roll was also homemade and very tasty. We received friendly and quick service. The only thing that gets a slight B deduction is the plastic lid :-) I'll be back and say thank you for the great food!

We were there yesterday for the first time in a while. Everything was of a high standard, as usual. I can't understand the negative comments. The food isn't typical of most Germanized Asian restaurants. You'll find truly Chinese dishes there, I think some of them are typical regional dishes from Hong Kong and Guangdong (although I'm not particularly familiar with that). For me, a lot of it tastes like it did on my trip to China. The service is excellent. The ambiance is a bit dated, but charming; not everything needs modern decor. Prices are more than reasonable for today's prices.

The vegetable soup was 1 mushroom, 1 small broccoli and a bit of carrot and hot water. The vegans' tea. The Fruit Punch Cocktail tasted like strawberry syrup and divorce. Big L for vegetarians. Everything is very cheap. Oh well. Inshallah soon paradise

I won't be visiting this restaurant again! The manager was very unfriendly; one could almost say "rude"! The interior and the taste of the individual dishes leave a lot to be desired! We were even charged an additional €3 for ordering a portion of rice!

We were treated unfairly by the manager. Regulars were her favorites, but we, some of whom were new, were treated as if this were our last visit. And that's true, because we will 100% never set foot in this place again. The bad atmosphere and the food were typical MSG bombs and tasted bad. Ordering more rice once costs an extra €3. What's the point? Hygiene leaves a lot to be desired, with cobwebs and dirt from the previous customer on the stoves. No thanks!!!

I suggest Chinese people not to eat here. This is the first time I see a Chinese restaurant owner discriminating against Chinese people. The boss can understand Chinese, but he doesn't speak Chinese to us, only German. The boss has a very good attitude towards the Germans. When the Germans at the next table were leaving, he thanked them and wished them a Merry Christmas. He just rolled his eyes at us fiercely and even spat at me when we first entered the store. When I paid the bill, I spoke German, and the boss's attitude became a little better. It was really baffling. The dishes are also average. The first time I saw the squirrel mandarin fish, customers had to pour the sauce themselves. In short, don't come here, Chinese people, don't look for trouble.

I went to Ming Garden for the first time today and I'm thrilled!!! A super attentive boss, constantly maintained eye contact, she was alone in the restaurant and took care of the guests at every table! Attention is my priority! The food was delicious, plentiful, well seasoned! The wontons are more than recommended, Szechuan duck... delicious!!! All in all - it was a recommendation from my father that didn't disappoint!!! Next time there will be autumn rolls :-)! All the best and please stay warm, attentive and delicious 😋!!!

Would give 3.5 stars Food was ok but rice too dry and food expensive for the portions you can save money was invited otherwise I wouldn't have eaten there because there is the same thing better and more and cheaper one street further

Ein bisschen Spaß muss sein!

Today on New Year's Day I thought I'd grab something quick to eat there. The lady is SO unfriendly that this time I left everything after 10 minutes and after two additional lectures I got fed up, paid and left! and won't come back again. I was warned that the rice would be enough to eat. This in turn resulted in two good tablespoons and that was enough for a glutamate-filled meal.” You have to think about it. it really is dirty. So that's enough for now! DEFINITELY A NO GO.

Picked up duck curry, mini spring rolls with extra hoisin and peanut sauce to take away twice and was completely thrilled with the taste and quality of the food. The duck is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, juicy and slightly rosy. The rice was delicious, the vegetables with curry were very crunchy with the slightly spicy sauce. We really like the hoisin and peanut sauce here. The service on the phone was also very nice and friendly and when our food was ready we were even called back by phone, which is why we give it a justified 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Consistently good cuisine for decades... very reasonable prices... Still, the quality is really good... no decorations on the plate but of course that doesn't happen at these prices... but not bad... it really tastes very good

The food is good, the prices are okay. Only the service seemed very unmotivated; we felt more like a nuisance than welcome guests. Conclusion: to pick it up again, but probably not a second time to eat on site.

Sehr leckeres Essen, Ambiente lässt leider zu wünschen übrig. Platiktischdecken und in die Jahre gekomme Einrichtung. In den Toiletten massenhaft Spinnenweben.

Essen ist ok ein bißchen wenig aber für 8 euro ok

Die Gerichte sind frisch und lecker, die Portionsgröße gerade richtig. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Auch für Vegetarier ist was dabei. Das Ambiente könnte man noch verbessern. Wir waren zum Mittagstisch dort und kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder.

Ein schönes Lokal, gutes Essen, leider eine sehr unfreundliche Wirtin! Schade, das macht keinen Spaß!

Da ich zur Mittagspause von der Arbeit Dort war und nur was getrunken habe kann ich das Essen nicht beurteilen Allerdings meine Arbeitskollegen waren sehr Begeistert von dem Essen

Ein chinesisches Restaurant mit schon in die Jahre gekommener klassischer Einrichtung, aber sauber. Der Service war angemessen freundlich, aber distanziert. Die Menüauswahl ist ok. Ein bisschen mehr Auswahl wäre schön, z. B. bei den gebratenen Nudeln mit Hännchen zusätzlich Gemüse. Menüs für Kinder wären wünschenswert. Ich finde es gut, dass es kein "all you can eat"- Angebot gibt. Die Preise sind angemessen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell. Vom Geschmack her ok. Die Portionen sind groß. Auf Anfrage wurde Salz, Sojasauce und scharfe Sauce gebracht. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite. Ich kann das Restaurant mit den oben genannten Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen. Insgesamt ok, aber nichts besonderes.

Die Dienstleistungen sind sehr schlecht, ich würde niemals nochmal kommen. Ich habe auf Chinesisch gefragt, aber die Kellnerin hat nichts verstanden und war sehr ungeduldig zu mir. Also, kein authentisches Chinesisches Restaurant. Ich wurde schlecht behandelt. Ich konnte nicht glauben, dass ich in einem Restaurant war und Geld ausgeben wurde. Ich habe trotzdem Trinkgeld gegeben, damit mein Freund nicht peinlich ist. Ich hoffe dass diese Frau Chancen hat, diese Kommentar zu lesen und verstehen kann, dass das Trinkgeld nicht für sie ist. Danke ihr hatte ich sehr schöne Laune in Weihnachten.

Aufgrund des schlichten Ambientes kein Lokal für besondere Anlässe, doch genau richtig, wenn man Lust auf solides chinesisches Essen hat. Hatte eine Herbstrolle und eine Curryente, und beides durchaus genossen. Auch meine Begleiter waren recht angetan.

The food is not bad, not typical German Asian Imbiss shxt if you know what to order, some are actually quite authentic. However, this restaurant brings the hatred towards Chinese/ English speaking Asians (non-Cantonese speakers) to Germany as well, even though we are not Chinese… that’s a pity! My friends were also surprised about the attitude- we were not even angry because we were treated as if we owe the boss money, and that’s kind of unusual and made us wondered what had happened for a while until we learned from a friend that it’s actually normal for this restaurant.

Seit vielen Jahren gibt es das China Restaurant an der Ecke, direkt an der Kreuzung. Hier kann man gut Essen, bei freundlicher Bedienung und absolut fairen Preisen 😁 Schau mal hin.

Kenne das Restaurant seit Jahren und bin immer zufrieden. Man wird freundlich begrüßt und das Essen schmeckt super. Auch die Atmosphäre sagt mir zu. Allein beim Schreiben der Bewertung bekomme ich Appetit auf Asiatisch!

Durchschnittliches und unauffälliges China Restaurant.

Ich hatte mich auf ein Gericht gefreut, das nicht auf der Karte stand. Als ich danach fragte, hat man mir das Essen dennoch zubereitet. Das Hänchen war das leckerste, das ich in einem China-Restaurant gegessen habe!

War zum zweiten Mal dort und das Essen ist suuuper lecker. Die Einrichtung ist tatsächlich nicht ganz modern, dafür aber sehr sauber. Der Service ist 1A und man muss nicht lange aufs Essen warten. :)

Also zunächst mal muss ich sagen, daß ich schon bei vielen China Restaurants war zum essen, und HIER auf dem Lerchenberg bei Mainz das Essen echt sehr gut schmeckt, und sich auch von anderen etwas abhebt,Preis / Leistung ist auch sehr fair, und der große Vorteil gegenüber anderen rundherum ist, daß die DURCHGEHEND von 11:00 - 21:00 geöffnet haben, und die Tageskarte(Montag bis Samstag) bis 17:00 gilt.........aber das war es jetzt auch mit dem guten.... Wir waren etwa 5x hier, und haben das Gefühl, das hier zu 80% immer die selben "Stammgäste" sitzen, und das merkt man dann auch an der Begrüßung, usw.... Die Bedienung ist echt sehr unfreundlich den"anderen"Gästen gegenüber, was bedeutet, daß wir es 5 mal probiert haben und ihr ne faire Chance gegeben haben, aber hat leider nix gebracht.... Ich möchte auch nitt ins Detail gehen, und das ist UNSERE MEINUNG... an unfreundlichkeit nitt zu toppen..... Sehr Schade...!!

Das Essen war relativ teuer für seinen Geschmack. Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe da und die Kellnerin war komplett überfordert mit jeglicher Bestellung. Das Essen war essbar.

Fast mütterliche Bedienung (super freundlich) und sehr zuvorkommend. Es wurde sich mehrfach versichert ob es uns gut geht xD Leider Preislich nicht ganz angemessen. Relativ kleine Portion zu großen Preisen (6,50€ für gebratene Nudeln ohne Fleisch ~200g) Wirklich nette Bedienung aber einfach zu teuer

Hat super gut geschmeckt. Draußen gesessen mit Sonnenschirmen. Preise sind ok.

Wir essen seit vielen, vielen Jahren super gerne im Ming Garden. Jetzt wird es auch mal Zeit für eine gute Bewertung. Leckeres, frisches Essen, die Portionen sind wirklich groß und der Preis vergleichsweise wirklich schon zu günstig!!! Kein billiges Take Away Essen, sondern echte und gute Chinesische Küche. Trotzdem auch immer sehr schnell, egal ob vor Ort oder bei Abholung. Das wohl beste China Restaurant in ganz Mainz.

Eines meiner liebsten Chinesischen Restaurants. Wurde bisher nie von der leckeren Ente enttäuscht, wirklich ausgezeichnet, auch das Gemüse dazu.
