Chill 'n Beef in Essen

One of the best restaurants where I eat burgers 😍

We ordered via Uber around 10:40 PM, and at 11:48 PM we received a call saying we'd provided the wrong house number... which wasn't true. When the food finally arrived, we were surprised to find that the burger had fallen out of its packaging, making a mess for the rest of the dishes. Additionally, our supposed buffalo wings were very dry and came in an open bag of fries, which meant that some of the wings were also swimming in the mess. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed... a shame for the money.

I placed my order at 9:47 PM. It didn't arrive until just before midnight—almost two hours later. And when it finally arrived, it was cold, incomplete, and barely edible. I called the store a total of six times to find out what was going on. On the third call, they suddenly said I hadn't provided my apartment number—which isn't true. I gave it again, and they told me the food would be here in five minutes. Thirty minutes later, on the fourth call, I got the same excuse again. On the fifth attempt, they simply didn't answer the phone three times. And then, when the food finally arrived: A portion of fries was missing, all the sauces were missing, and the so-called chicken burger was an absolute joke. Just fried batter and sauce to hide a tiny, sad piece of "chicken." And like I said—everything was cold. That wasn't just bad—it was an absolute disgrace. Do you seriously call this a "food business"? No service, no quality, no responsibility. Never again. €55 for a load of crap.

The food is delicious, a little greasier than you're used to. Orders sometimes take a long time and arrive at different times. Card payments are not accepted; only bank transfers are accepted.

Extremely delicious 10/10 -> we had the avocado smash burger with sweet potato fries and samurai sauce, the San Francisco hot dog, and the Mexican bacon salad. All highly recommended, and the sweet potato fries were the best we've ever eaten, just like the hot dog and the burger. We also had two cocktails, which were also delicious, but unfortunately, the place only serves non-alcoholic drinks. Service 10/10 was great, super friendly, even though we had a restless baby with us. 🙏 The service was simply very human, friendly, and understanding; they work with love here! Atmosphere 10/10: There's a beautiful outdoor area, and everything looks very chic and harmonious. The price is fair, and we recommend a visit to Chill n' Beef to everyone.

It was my first time at Chill n' Beef and I was absolutely thrilled. The Avocado Smash Burger was super juicy, really well seasoned, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere in the shop was also incredibly inviting; you immediately felt at home. We'll definitely be back 🍔🥑

Not only is the staff fantastic, but the food is too. You can chat with everyone there, have discussions, and they have time for you. I rarely give receptions, but they honestly deserve it. I really enjoyed myself there 👍🏼

We ordered the food, but unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy it. The chicken fillets, the Double Bang cheeseburger, and even the fries didn't impress us in terms of taste or quality. For ethical and religious reasons, we generally avoid throwing away food—but in this case, unfortunately, we weren't able to eat the food. Given the many positive reviews, we're honestly confused. In our experience, there's significant room for improvement here.

I can't say much about the ambience because I always ordered via Lieferando, but the food is really delicious, always arrived warm + it always arrived on time :) Currently my favorite burger shop 🩷✨

The burgers were really delicious, but the wait time for ordering was really unprofessional. I ordered through Uber Eats and had to wait almost three hours. I called twice, and both times I was told the driver was just leaving. They put 12-piece chicken nuggets in as an apology. As I said, the burgers were really good.

We made a reservation by phone for an Iftar meal for two people on March 29th, and everything went great, but after that it all started. When we arrived at the store it was still relatively empty, many tables were still empty, so we went to the checkout and asked for our table, to which we were immediately shown. The table was completely empty apart from the two dates in a mini bowl and a note with our name on it. Neither menu cards nor any other decorative items or anything else were to be found, although decorations and menu cards had been set up at all the other tables. After we sat down and had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes, a waiter came and wanted to take our orders, starting with the sentence "What do you want to eat? We have the Ramadan menu." It should be noted that we were not given any cards by the waiter. When we asked about the menus, people simply turned around and grabbed a menu card from someone else's table and opened it in front of us, which was already a rather unpleasant impression... When we were asked again about the Ramadan/Iftar menu, this was also ordered. A classic burger menu, a soup as a starter, a bottle of water and a (date?) shake. So far so good. But then we waited to see how things would hold up. While the customers next door, who entered the restaurant at the same time, were already being served soup and the main course, our table was still sad and empty, noting that the breaking of the fast had already begun and that we were waiting for our food with an empty stomach. Then the soup was served to us late, and there was no real communication, neither eye contact nor any exchange of words. However, the taste of the soup was great and there was nothing negative to say about it. But then we waited patiently again like a master. While tons of new customers came into the restaurant and sat down and were served immediately, we had to wait another 1.5 hours for the food after the soup, which is a disrespectfully long time. After a while, you naturally become impatient and curious and wonder what is taking so long when everyone else orders the same menu. When asked, "How's our food? We've been waiting for over an hour." It was thrown at you that you were one of the last to get in, even though you reserved a table and showed up on time. Wanting to blame the customer, even though it was solely due to the lack of service and poor organization, I and every other customer consider to be a disrespect that has absolutely no place in the catering industry!! After asking, the food was actually served within 5 minutes, which just supports the point that the waiters absolutely forgot about our table and are not able to work effectively with large numbers of visitors. When the burgers arrived there was talk that the pieces of paper had been mixed up. How can you mix up the pieces of paper so much that you have to wait 1.5 hours for a simple burger and fries? Even though the burger tasted very good, my conclusion is an absolute no-go. By the time the food arrives it is Christmas. The food is very bad

Reserved a table today, still not ordered 7 minutes before Iftar. The staff is very unfriendly and overwhelmed, the sound makes the music. After a long wait, the wrong order arrived. Despite multiple discussions, no common denominator was found. Since we don't eat hak, we still paid but didn't eat.

Super cool The food, the staff, the atmosphere. You feel 100% comfortable. The desserts are very creative and have a huge selection. I was there 1 month ago and was overwhelmed again.

Were there today to break the fast. I can tell you the following problems: 1. You are not allowed to order sweet potatoes during Ramadan because only the normal fries are prepared in quantity. 20 minutes later, the guests next to us received several sweet potatoes. 2. You can't order hot dogs during Ramadan because the focus is on the burger menu. Some time later we see a few hot dogs being served at the neighboring tables. 3. You don't get soup for Ramadan unless you MUST order the Ramadan menu. Apart from that, some guests got their burger menu first, then the soup (?). 4. When I ordered I specifically said no BBQ sauce. My burger comes with whatever sauce, of course BBQ sauce. That was my only extra request when I ordered. 5. The best comes last: we received our food 1 (!) hour late, even though we were told that every guest would receive their food on time to break their fast. The only good thing is the ambience of the store. You don't have to share my opinion, it's my objective opinion.

Unfortunately, a pure disappointment - didn't even have the chance to try the food, so I can't say anything about the food. I reserved a table by phone, but when we arrived we were told that there was no free table available (!?), even though there were a lot of places available. Instead, we were supposed to sit at the “bar counter”; we were there to eat, not for drinks. Absolutely outrageous! The organization was catastrophic and completely chaotic. The ambience seemed cold and many guests were eating with winter jackets...no thanks! I also have the impression that we weren't taken seriously because of our age. I definitely can't recommend it.

I AM SHOCKED!!!!! I ate here with my 12 year old brother and my husband in Ramadan. We got there at 6pm and still had no food at 7:30pm. People who had ordered at the same time as us were long gone because they had already finished eating. This can't be normal! We then burst when a group that came in an hour after us got their food BEFORE us. Because of their connection??? Because they know the owner??? This is UNJUST. The waiter told us the food would come immediately, 20 minutes later it still wasn't there!!!!!! When my husband confronted the waiter we were told our food was the next one to go out. What do we see?! We see another order being made ready. FASTING IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE!

Outrageous! Ordered two expensive menus with fries, but zero fries were delivered. When asked, the answer was curt.

I had dinner here with my friend today and we thought it was delicious. I had a cheeseburger with fries, dip and drink. I also find the staff very friendly. We also got tea on the house because of the long wait for food, which actually wasn't that long :) I would recommend this store to everyone❤️

Zero stars would probably be better for such a lousy shop, but unfortunately it is there not. Pure chaos reigns in this store.... The driver arrived 2.5 hours later than announced....With only half of the order and it was disgustingly cold by now....but if you still dare, After reading this, he decided to have something to eat at Chill n Beef and then he probably couldn't be helped anymore, just as the staff on the phone didn't help me in any way when I complained about this order. ...instead of an apology and a subsequent delivery of the missing items Goods, my own failure was downplayed, the blame was placed on UberEats and I was helpless and WITHOUT! Damages dismissed with my complaint!!! So I paid 40 euros for five tiny, disgustingly cold burgers and a wrap that were delivered 2.5 hours late..... REALLY NEVER AGAIN Chill'n Beef!!! ..... :(

For me, it's definitely the best burger I've ever eaten, the atmosphere was very nice and the staff were very friendly. They also came to us every now and then and asked if we needed anything. I recommend this shop 100% and the shakes are very tasty.

We ate for 5 people. All different burgers with different side dishes. Everything came as ordered, went quickly and was delicious. The service was very friendly and also fulfilled the extra request. There are deductions because the meat was very well done and it was really cold inside. We'll be back.

The food tastes great. But if I order something and it's supposed to arrive at a certain time and then it's forgotten and I'm also lied to that the order is on the way, that's not good service or friendly staff for me.

I ordered 1 cheeseburger and 2 chicken crispy burgers, in the chicken all the chicken breast fillet strips were all burnt and instead of mayonnaise I just put some yellow sauce in it, which didn't taste good and in the cheeseburger the meat tasted like everything except meat. That's why it doesn't even deserve 1 star

Guys, don't order here! Quality worse, delivery slower! It took almost an hour to deliver a burger, even though my house is only four minutes away. The burger was cold! I have ordered the same burger many times in another restaurant and the delivery has always been lightning fast, despite the greater distance. I will never order here again. Absolutely unacceptable!

I found the store on Lieferando. Simply delicious and the price-performance ratio is right. perfect bread, juicy patties and the cheese on top is not stingy!!! overall great burgers. The hot dog is also big. It's really filling! I ordered shortly before the store closed and due to delivery problems! and also because I had entered my number incorrectly on Lieferando, the food could not be delivered. However, this is now the 2nd time that I say without sauce and still get sauce. I stated that I only want meat & cheese in the bread. Unfortunately there was also sauce in it! I can't stand the smell of this sauce at all - I had to clean it off with a spoon - but the smell still remained... In addition, the meat wasn't completely cooked through (it's a matter of taste, but you always got it completely cooked through without asking) - I tried it again myself fried because I'm breastfeeding and therefore don't eat raw. So eating wasn't that much of a pleasure and I couldn't finish the whole burger :( ... really a shame because I was really looking forward to it. Now 4/5 stars.

Burgers were delicious, the sweet potato fries were crispy and the delivery person was very friendly.

The burger was incredibly tasty! We were the only guests on site. I think it's more of a shop that thrives on deliveries. The music was terrible. The drinks came at the same time as the food, unfortunately the wrong fries were brought. It smelled like shisha. There is no alcohol. The staff was really nice. I wouldn't eat there again but I would definitely order! You have to try the burgers!

Best chicken in the city both individually and on the burger. Rarely have I had something so delicious, it's just great, and the milkshakes are an absolute must, they taste exactly like the product in question and are simply amazing. 5 stars more than deserved.

Ordered on Uber Eats and thought the food would never arrive. No updates on the order even though the delivery time was exceeded by 45 minutes, nothing! If we hadn't called and asked, we probably wouldn't have even realized that the place was completely overwhelmed. Of course, people don't want to tell you that and will tell you some bold lies. Never again. Edit: After 3 1/2 hours of waiting and 1/2 hour of “the driver is on the way” even though the store is only a maximum of 10 minutes away, we were served ice-cold food. Instead of the chicken popcorn I ordered, charred strips of dough with a maximum meat content of 20% came. The chicken in the burger was half the size of the burger itself. You could say it was almost a vegan meal. Don't believe the good reviews! These are probably friends and relatives who are only artificially pushing the store upwards. Have a nice evening!

Meine Bestellung kam nicht nach angegebenen 20-40 Minuten sondern nach 1,5 Stunden. Statt einer Sprite kam Fanta und die wraps waren komplett durchnässt und ungenießbar. Die Pommes waren kalt und pappig. Nie wieder.

Burger extrem schlecht, Bedienung lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Pfeifen gut.

Wir haben Burger bestellt. Unfassbar lecker. Die Burger waren trotz Lieferung extrem lecker. Können wir nur empfehlen.

Fahrer war sehr freundlich und nett, aber das Essen hat nicht geschmeckt. Weggeschmissenes Geld Fleisch Qualität war nicht gut Chicken Nuggets sehr trocken Pommes verbrannt. Nie wieder.

Der Laden ist sehr gut und hat sehr leckere Mozerelersticks und gute Getränke. Ich kann nur sagen 5★

Der Fahrer der mich beliefert hat, war sehr freundlich. Der Burger war sehr frisch und lecker. Die Mozzarella Sticks waren noch heiß 🔥. In Zukunft wünsche ich mir nur eine kleine Veränderung, dass man eventuell auch Wasser im Menü bestellen kann. Bin leider kein Fan von Softdrinks. :) 5+ Sterne definitiv verdient.

Fleischqualität leider nur ausreichend, Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht und Essen war nicht mal richtig warm als es ankam. Mozzarellasticks nicht bestellen. Shakes Schmecken gut, erwarte ich aber auch für 7 Euro

Habe über die App "Uber eats" bei dem Restaurant bestellt, essen ist nach 2 Stunden angekommen, eiskalt, pommes haben so geschmeckt als ob die aus Gefrierfach und nicht aus der Fritteuse kamen. enttäuscht
