Very tasty! But the food selection is limited; they only have Korean fried chicken (chickin'), which is very trendy right now. And I can't find it at all in smaller towns, or only very poorly. Anyone who knows what they're getting here will enjoy eating it. Unfortunately, they don't have kimchi, which would be great. Best regards

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing food! I went to Chiking in Frankfurt and I have to say: the chicken was incredible. Perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. This is exactly how good fried chicken should be. The portions are generous, the price is right, and the flavor is fantastic. The service was friendly and everything was quick, even though it was busy. The chicken was absolutely delicious; I personally recommend the Yangnyum Chicken. I love coming here whenever I'm in Frankfurt. The service is friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is usually pleasant, even when it's a bit crowded.

This place is really great. The fried chicken in that exceptional sauce tastes absolutely delicious. Of course, it's worth noting that not all of what appears to be chicken is actually meat due to the breading, and the meat certainly isn't the highest quality. Nevertheless, it tastes incredibly good. I'd recommend serving it with rice, as it goes very well with the chicken. Plus, you get a drink included, and all for just €13.50 as part of the lunch menu – that's fantastic! I also appreciate that they serve honeydew melon and a salad. The fact that the staff aren't particularly fluent in German isn't a big deal; they understand what you want and are very polite. All in all, a really solid experience.

Searched, found, tried... Korean chicken was really delicious, good portions. The fries weren't necessary. The service was brief but quick. The ambiance isn't very appealing, the floor was greasy, almost like an ice rink. But hey... the chicken was absolutely amazing!

Three years ago it was delicious. I was here again after a long time and I have to honestly say that the place has gone downhill… It's unhygienic because there are mice in the restaurant. The customer pointed it out and the way they handled it was absolutely appalling… The staff just stared and laughed. If you want to get food poisoning on purpose, Chiking at Elbestr 14 is the place to go.

The chicken is great the best fried chicken I have ever eaten, but they could at least have a single decent vegetarian dish, maybe dumplings or ramen idk. Ttokbokki that they have tastes ridiculous...

During lunchtime, you can get a fantastic set menu for a very reasonable price. The food has always arrived within 10 minutes, often even faster. The atmosphere is modern and cozy. The food tastes great and has always been hot and fresh.

The chicken at this restaurant is really delicious. Very juicy, flavorful, and freshly prepared. The Yangnyeom chicken is especially recommended. I ordered it medium-spiced, but it wasn't spicy at all for me. A big plus is the lunch special between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm: For just €11, you get a portion of chicken with rice or fries and coleslaw. For Frankfurt, that's a really fair and attractive price.

This place has changed hand, the Korean owner has sold the place to some Chinese (they were speaking Chinese). The quality is not the same anymore. The radish side dish tastes disgusting, it used to taste fresh and sweet. The chicken pieces are soggy and tiny, most importantly not fresh! It tastes like frozen food and reheated for your order. The crust is super hard, dark and the inside is dry and luke warm.

The chicken here is simply unbeatable – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and a guaranteed hit every time! You can immediately tell that quality and passion are at the helm. My absolute favorite dish is number 4 on the menu; it's always such a treat that you'd happily take another portion home. If you love good chicken, this is the place for you.

I come here to eat once a month and Chicking never disappoints. I would highly recommend the Yangyum Chicken.

The rice was very bad and the chicken also they just make old food and bring it to us and if u order rice it is old and it’s mixed at others left over and also I got food poisoning and I have been sick because of it and we even paid allot.

I highly recommend Yangyum Chicken. My colleagues and I agree it's the best place to eat. The restaurant is simple, but that didn't bother us. This location is definitely much better than the one on Zeil; the portions are larger, and it's usually less crowded. I also want to commend our waiter, an older Asian man. He was efficient and very friendly. The waiters on Zeil could certainly learn a thing or two from him.

This has to be one of the best experiences I had in Frankfurt! The staff is sweet and food is served quickly. I got the medium size for myself and couldnt finish it because of the very generous serving size. It was also incredibly delicious. I need to come back again and try all the flavours. Crispy fried chicken in various variations (my favorite was the classic medium spicy version). The spring onion and garlic versions were also very flavorful. They also included a cabbage salad, which was very nice after all the fried food! Very attentive and friendly service :) I appreciated that they gave us separate bills, since we were a group! Fantastic place 10/10 recommended!! Best place to hang out after work or on the weekend! We ate here today because the location is near our hotel. The chicken tastes so yummy, crispy and juicy! The sauces are so delicious. We ordered 4 different flavours and we love everything. The portions are huge! We only ordered the medium size of everything. The service was also top notch! Our food was served in 5 minutes! The staffs worked very quick I got nothing to complain. Just amazing! It is a good place for a group of people to enjoy chicken and drinks!

Don't come to this restaurant, you will not miss anything. The color of the fried chicken was damn dark, apparently, the fried chicken was cooked a few days ago before they were put on your table. The owner of the restaurant should have already been changed, not the original one anymore, which is why there are still some good reviews that should be given to the former owner instead of the current one running the restaurant.

The ceiling fan, the door edges of the glasswasher, and the base of the double sink were also contaminated. the tablet attached to every table is really nice and efficient for ordering. i ordered tteokbokki and the sauce was good but it felt like the ratio of rice cakes to sauce wasn’t quite right. the staff were super friendly, though.

Not even close to real Korean chicken, very disappointing I was excited to try this place since they claim to serve “Korean chicken,” but honestly, it’s nowhere near Korean fired chicken . The chicken was extremely tough and lacked the flavor and texture you’d expect from real Korean fried chicken. If you’ve ever had proper Korean chicken before, you’ll notice right away that this is just an imitation. Looking back, I should’ve noticed that there wasn’t a single review from an actual Korean customer — that probably says a lot. It feels like they already knew it wasn’t the real deal.

I went here last Friday and can't believe that this place has an average 4.3 rating. It's likely because most people who have given good ratings don't know what good Korean fried chicken tastes like. First of all, starting with the chicken. We ordered 4 different types. 3 out of the 4 were pretty much the same, dry chicken with the sauce sitting at the bottom. In other words, it was not coated at all. When I mentioned this to two waiters, they simply said that's how it is. For anyone who knows how flavourful Korean fried chicken is, you would know that the chicken is always well-coated and does not sit at the bottom. There is a reason there are no Koreans who go here because once they try, they wouldn't come back. At this stage, this restaurant doesn't even have the right to say they are a korean restaurant. They also don't even serve 치킨무, which is a basic side dish you eat with any fried chicken. A place to avoid.

The restaurant was busy in the evening. The decor is minimalist, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. The seating is very plain – not much has been done with it. I ordered the Yangnyum Chicken without peanuts. The chicken was okay, well marinated. However, the food arrived almost cold – it was only lukewarm, if at all, which was a shame, as it would have definitely tasted better fresh and warm. The coleslaw on the side was delicious. What bothered me was that after leaving the restaurant, there was a strong smell of grease and chicken. The smell really got into your clothes – there's not much you can do about it, of course, but it's still not pleasant.

Wow amazing Korean food! Their speciality fried chicken is out of this world. Portions are huge, so a medium portion is plenty enough for one person, even two people. Would go again.

For me, Chiking City is a good place for fried chicken. The food was very tasty, and the spicy yang nyum sauce is quite spicy, and it's not just a by-the-book thing. However, this sauce doesn't have the most delicious aftertaste for me; I would prefer a gochujang base.

I simply can't praise this place enough! The portions are quite generous—I actually thought they were going to give us small plates... but that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, the food was so delicious, I didn't take any pictures. Nutritionally speaking: very suitable for those days when you've had a lot to do—trade fairs, museum visits, etc. Or simply when you've been drinking a lot and could use another soju 😁 Taste-wise: authentically Korean—you don't really need to know anything more; go there and try the food for yourself. I had yangnyeom chicken here for lunch But the crispy coating was really really hard, was hard to chew actually. And i thought they fried chicken earlier, and fried again before serving. Because they served the chicken in 5-7mins after got ordering! This doesn't make sense. As you can see the coating looks dark. I don't recommend here for chicken. I'd rather pay and go other authentic chicken places.

The fried chicken is quite big and the chicken is fried well. It is not as delicious as expected but it is worth the price. You don't need to go here specially to eat it, but if you live nearby, it is worth it for a quick meal.

New owners — inedible. This used to be the best place to grab chicken in Frankfurt. Their chicken tastes like their hygiene inspection, it fell short of all standards. The report you can find at “VerbraucherFenster Hessen”, it was so devastating that the officials forced the ‘restaurant’ to shut down temporarily.

The service is super friendly and the food is delicious. We got a small coleslaw on the house and ordered two medium portions of chicken. I especially recommend the one with peanuts! It was more than enough for two people! We didn't take everything and had the rest packed for us; I think a large portion is enough. With a coleslaw, a coleslaw, and two Cokes, we ended up paying €41.90, which I think is very fair.

Nowadays, people eat almost exclusively breading and crust, and very little chicken. Things were different in the past. We checked this the last few times and were disappointed.

It was tasty, and you get a decent amount. Medium-spicy, but it's still a little spicy, and I can handle a lot. Choose carefully. The sides were inexpensive and good. We had 2 chicken dishes, 2 rice dishes, 1 fries dish, and a drink for €40 in total. It's good value for money.

I don’t live in Germany, but it’s my go to place whenever I visit Frankfurt. The staff are super friendly and Jackie is so sweet. The food is my ultimate favorite. A must visit!

Came here on recommendation from a friend. If it weren’t for that, I would have left as soon as I entered. The entire floor was slick from cooking grease; it was a legitimate safety hazard. Some of the tables were also covered in a film of grease. This wouldn’t be the case if professional cleaning chemicals are used on a regular basis. I couldn’t help but glance at the kitchen from my seat. The cook had a slovenly appearance. He was touching his face, his phone and I assume also the food. I really wanted to leave at this point. The music was obnoxiously loud. It seemed the cook was also the DJ. Many German restaurants seem to have no control over the music that is played. It’s one employee who plays what he wants to hear, with no concern for the majority of guests. The chicken came very fast, and the table service was kind and professional. We were a big group, ordered #1-3. The spicy was everyone’s favorite. Alas, later that evening I had explosive diarrhea. I eat spicy food all the time. Something else was wrong with this chicken. Never again.

The food was super delicious and there was plenty of it. We took some home with us. Unfortunately, the blond employee poured the sauces into the boxes. Not a problem for the sweet & spicy sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken with soy sauce spilled so much that it all ran out of the cardboard box into the bag. It was only a matter of time before it started dripping out. Maybe next time, don't pour in all the sauce.

The service was okay, but the food unfortunately didn't make the visit worthwhile.

ChiKing offers a wide selection of Korean fried chicken. We tried the garlic soy chicken and the yangnyum chicken. Both tasted okay, but unfortunately, they couldn't compare to authentic Korean fried chicken. The pickled radish deserves special mention. It was really good! The tteokbokki, on the other hand, were rather mediocre. The prices are generally a bit high, so if you're looking to save money, you might want to opt for the lunch special. The ambiance is simple and more reminiscent of a classic fast-food joint. The service was fast, but the language skills were a bit limited at times.

It's a below average fried chicken. Only their special item is near to good. Too much saucy flavour.

Absolutely none of the food was fresh... We were there as a group at lunch and were totally disappointed. Firstly, our glasses weren't clean... You could still see lipstick residue from the previous customer. Among other things, everything was served lukewarm. However, nothing topped the chicken. It literally tasted rotten; I think we were served old, bad chicken. We won't be coming back here.
