I had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the service was prompt. The price was reasonable with all the food provided including side dishes. Would recommend for Korean food.

Food nice Service ok, a bit rough behavior, maybe culturedifference? Otherwise friendly and clear what to expect. A lot of asian customers, probably corean (so must be good). A bit loud, but probably fitting the culture. All in all nice experience.

I love their banchan, especially the stir-fried potatoes. We ordered two bulgogi and chicken. To be honest the spicy bulgogi were not that top, kinda salty, but I enjoyed the bulgogi with grass noodles. You can get refillable water/soft drinks here. The staff were super friendly and professional. We accidentally got our cup broken but they came cleared them up quickly. Maybe will re-visit another time

The food was generally good. Korean bbq was good, I would give 4-5 stars but other menus were too localized and for Koreans like me, it wasn't that satisfying.

- Food was okay but price was too high for the service. We felt very uncomfortable because the waitress and the owner were very rude. We were 6 people group but we only received the side dish for 2 people. We asked for extra side dish but the waitress told us that they serve when we finish the small portion. - When we wanted to have our rice in the grilled BBQ pen, which is totally normal in Korean food restaurant, the owner came immediately to stop us making our rice warm since it might disturb the Grill pen. - Overall we felt uncomfortable until we pay the bill - so we don't recommend this restaurant.

The food is quite good and you can't complain about it. You get your own soft drinks from the tap (refill), which is quite a mess. It splashes, foams and everything sticks. Depending on the employee, the service can range from unfriendly, careless to passable. Overall, the restaurant is very old, dirty and the toilets are a journey back in time to the 70s. The food can be recommended, but unfortunately not the rest.

We chose B3 beef on the grill for 2 people (40€). No fresh beef was used, but pre-prepared frozen beef (hence 1 star deduction). The marinated meat was incredibly delicious! Preparation was quick. There were side dishes. If you ran out of a side dish, you could ask for more (e.g. rice). A reservation wasn't necessary as we got there right at 5:30 p.m.

We took a long journey and it was worth it. The food was quick and freshly prepared at the table. Service was very friendly. If you ask, you can even order meat and side dishes from the menu. Refill is included. It's definitely worth the money! Update: August 10, 2022 The restaurant has changed a lot after the lockdown. Both the prices and the quantities have been adjusted significantly... In a negative sense... Unfortunately you won't really get full for around €30 per person. Better find another Korean BBQ :) Update May 16, 2024 Friends were dying to go out for Korean BBQ and really wanted to have the experience that I did. The prices are now set at €40 for a Korean BBQ platter. Oddly enough, on all plates (although squid is usually more expensive than regular pork or beef). If you go as a couple and want to be full, you should expect to pay upwards of €80. To be honest, this was my last time giving an update to this review. I run a restaurant myself and adjust the prices AND the quantities. It's a disgrace to raise the prices for the customer without making the customers happy. I beg you not to go to this restaurant.

Kimchi stew is really delicious. Recommended if you like crunchy seafood and green onion pancakes! Ttukbaegi bulgogi is also sweet and delicious~^^

Very tasty Korean food, was my first experience with grilling at the table. And I would be very helpful and explain everything. If we wanted to order something, it took a long time until we got it, but the food came quite quickly and so did the side dishes. We got there very easily by tram/bus

A really nice restaurant in itself. I can understand everyone who gives a good or very good rating here. Unfortunately for me it's only three stars because the food wasn't for me at all. I've never eaten Asian food before and unfortunately I realized that I didn't like it. However, my companion enjoyed it very much!

Of course it’s not the most fancy looking place, but what counts is the delicious food and everything still had a homey feeling! It was soooo delicious and very well digestible. 🥘 Service got 4/5 just because it’s never good when a guest feels like they’re annoying the service staff just for ordering some more food a few times - probably just caught them on a bad day though. But overall they were obviously still very friendly. 🎖️

One of the best Korean BBQ I have ever visited in Germany! It's tucked away on a side street, doesn't have the best or comfortable seating, but definitely has quality meats to BBQ with great variety. I definitely would give it a 10/10.

The bibimbap was so delicious that I got excited. Maybe it's because the Japanese restaurant I went to the day before was so bad, but I would like to thank the chef.

Initially we often came to this place and always chose the Grillen menu. The marinade is very delicious. But over time, the Grillen menu had too many vegetables. And the owner is not friendly in serving guests.

It has become very expensive and there is sooo little portion:(( We actually ordered 2 main dishes but only 1 side dish came:(((( I don't want to go there anymore. I'm so sad 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧

Authentic Korean restaurant in Sachsenhausen, with small dishes and a table grill. We particularly enjoyed the marinated pork and beef. The kimchi, small potatoes and pickled cucumbers were also very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly, and helped us grill. We drank soju with our meal - another recommendation! Overall, a really nice experience, and something completely different in terms of taste!

Have been a customers for many many years. The food isn't as good as back in the days but it is still delicious and the side dishes are very good. Recommend the Seafood pancakes.

This was my 4th time coming here, every time with new friends. But the service and the quality of food just get worse and worse. In the past refill of side dishes and rice was allowed even we ordered a portion for 2 and shared among 3 people. My friends and I never really refill like crazy - I always only refill two side dishes that I like 1-2 times and rice only once. Never more. We are not greedy people. However, now it is not allowed. Even only one of us would like one more rice it's not possible. The owner told me corona has destroyed her business. Well, I have to be honest. My last visit was right after corona restrictions like around end 2022 or beginning of 2023, it was better. At least when I left there were still people waiting for a table. We would then like to order an extra pancake to share. But my friend who is Croatian did not get it and ordered two. Once I came back from taking drinks, I wanted to cancel one pancake. It was like maximum 5 minutes after the order. But the waitress did not allow us to or attempt to try to see if the order had gone through. Instead she said we could just pack it and take it home with a greedy smile. I find this totally unacceptable. We can see their business probably get worse and try in every way to get more money from the customers. This is neither an honest nor a welcoming practice though. I sincerely hope they would change. Normally there is a time limit of 90 minutes for a table. We were due to the train strike 10 minutes later and therefore sat also 10 minutes longer. Luckily there was no one coming to us to rush us out. I guess it's because there was no one waiting for a table. When we left, it was 20:00 and the restaurant was not even full. I have never experienced this. It has turned really bad. From 2023 till 2024 they have made their business worse and worse. If they continue to be so mean and so greedy, they won't get their business further. Please do not blame corona, I have been to many Japanese and Korean restaurants after the pandemic but they are all fine, except this one. It's honestly their own fault. Saving that little bit of food may help save your money, but you lose your customers in the long run (coz your side dishes have also changed and they are now only cheap food, which still has a limit to it). I like to show my new inernational friends restaurants that I like and find pretty much authentic for us Asian. But I can assure you, I am not coming here with anyone again and I am telling the friends who have come here with me not to come again as it is not as good. I will recommend them the new ones I find. I used to like it here and don't want to see it close. That's why I am spending so much time writing this review. I do hope you can consider it and try to improve again. You should be happy that this time I was not a mystery customer (I once was). Otherwise, your service would have totally failed.

The food was fantastic! And I'm dying for the sweet potatoes. The owner and waitress were super nice. You should always (!) reserve in advance - it's almost impossible to get a spot spontaneously! But it's worth it! Really!

You can also save yourself the money, the food was neither tasty nor was the service good and certainly not the ambience, which is reminiscent of an old gymnastics club that has never been renovated

Excellent !!! 10/10!! Food was super tasty, came super quickly and was super seasoned! The three of us shared 2 main courses and that was more than enough 😍 service was also great, very nice and quick! Unfortunately the ambience wasn't that good, there was no music playing... but otherwise it's really worth a visit or several!

We have been here many times as a family since we live nearby. Recently they had a new menu with price increases. I have uploaded pictures of the new menu. 🔸Service🔸 The service here was never great and the staff always looked a bit grumpy. We thought maybe because they were busy. But today we went early and there were only 2 other tables, the service was still poor - They never smiled or greeted😶, didn’t offer child seat, nor extra plate and utensils for our kid, never came and asked if everything is alright and if we need anything..also no thank you or anything said when we paid. They acted as if they hate what they are doing. This affected the whole dining experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🔸Main Dish🔸 Japchae (15,50€): The worst I ever had. Tasted just like generic asian imbiss style oily fried noodle… no sesame taste at all. Bulgogi grill dish (40€ for 2 pp): It tasted alright but not exceptional. Sometimes the meat can be chewy depends on your luck. 🔸Side Dish🔸 We always liked the side dishes. They were free to refill previously, but we were told that isn’t the case anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🔸Conclusion🔸 We used to come here regularly despite mediocre service, because of the location (walking distance from home), reasonable price with appropriate portion of food, as well as nice side dishes with free refill. However, with the price increase and no more side dish refill, on top of a unwelcoming service, we won’t come here as often as before anymore.

Sehr enttäuscht, das Essen ist wirklich gut und ich kann es empfehlen, aber der Service ist zu langsam und nicht aufmerksam. Ich fragte nach meiner Beilage (im Preis inbegriffen) und sie kam nie an, man sagte immer, er sei noch nicht fertig, und dann gab es auf der Herrentoilette keine Warmwasserkurbel im Waschbecken, sicher um Geld zu sparen, aber bei den temparaturen draussen kaum, sollte das nicht der Fall sein. Parkplätze...krise. Keine zügänglichkeit m. dem Rollstuhl.

Wir waren Gast im Hankook und haben aufgrund positiver Bewertungen das Korea.BBQ geordert. Beilagen wie Reis und anderes Gemüse auf Nachfrage kostenlos, Getränke zahlt man einmal, anschließend "all you can drink (Alk.frei)". Beilagen waren alle sehr lecker, Fleisch sehr gut Eingelegt und gewürzt. Alles in allem gibt es Geschmacklich nichts auszusetzen. Leider hat es knapp eine Stunde gedauert, bis wir die erwarteten Speisen serviert bekamen, bei einem reservierten Zeitslot von Max.2h ... "Sportlich". Nach 90 min wurden wir mehrmals darauf hingewiesen, das wir nichtmehr lange haben, "die nächsten Warten" ... entspannt den Abend genießen steht hier nicht zur Auswahl. Bei dem Blick in die Karte und auf Nachfrage, was Empfehlenswert ist, haben wir leider keine ordentliche aussage erhalten. Preis Leistung ist oke, durch das Nachbestellen der Beilagen kann sich hier satt gegessen werden, trotzdem haben wir alle - laut Karte - für zwei Pers.gegessen. Im allgemeinen war der Service sehr wechselhaft ... Nett und zuvorkommend - aber auch stellenweise sehr unhöfflich. So wurde unsere bitte nach einer zusätzlichen Runde "Beilagen" (welche im Preis mitinbegriffen sein sollten), bevor sie serviert wurde, sehr negativ aufgenommen und Kommentiert. Nach dieser reaktion sollte das unsere letzte "Runde" gewesen sein, sehr schade. Das Ambiente lässt ebenfalls etwas zu wünschen übrig ... alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen, zweckhaft, aber nicht gemütlich Toiletten aus dem letzten Jahrhundert - dafür sauber. Da das essen umso mehr überzeugt hat gehen wir mit gemischten Erfahrungen & Eindrücken aus dem Abend heraus ... leider nicht voll gesättigt, dafür reicher um neue Reize. Ob wir den weitem weg ins Lokal erneut auf uns nehmen ist eher fraglich.

Der Satz „Früher war alles besser“ trifft auf Hankook nur zu, weil früher wurde tatsächlich All you can eat angeboten. Seit Corona leider nicht mehr :(. Nichtsdestotrotz hat sich vom Geschmack her nicht viel geändert. Es war schon immer lecker und Preisleistung okay. Für Touristen oder Gästen die Lust auf Korean BBQ haben definitiv der perfekte Ort dafür!

Sehr leckeres Essen - super Service. Immer wieder gern! Empfehlen kann ich besonders den Reiswein, der traditionell serviert wird.

The Korean bbq marinade on the meat was way too salty. The plate also doesn’t get hot enough for the authentic taste of the char you’d get normally. The other dishes were okay. Decent enough if you really miss Korean food

Die Servicekräfte sind nett. Die Speisekarte ist extrem unübersichtlich und verwirrend, die Auswahl war sehr klein. Es gab exakt ein vegetarisches Gericht mit Tofu das nicht scharf war. Aber das Gericht das ich hatte war in Ordnung vom Geschmack her. Die Preise sind auch okay

Ein sehr ruhiges Lokal, nicht viel Verkehr, gut zu erreichen. Das Essen ist sehr gut, 5 Sterne reichen da gar nicht aus. Es schmeckt original wir aus Korea, sehr authentisch. Das Personal war super freundlich und der Service war auch Klasse, man hat nicht lange auf irgendetwas warten müssen. Wenn ich könnte würde ich mehr Sterne geben⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everytime I am in Frankfurt we are going to this restaurant, just a real authentic Korean restaurant, if you are not eating beef, salad is not included even though you are saying that you are paying for it extra they are quite reluctant to give you the salad which is quite funny though, either way good food and unlimited refill if you ordered a softdrink just great. I'd recommend to go there at least once, if you like korean food.

Sehr leckeres frisches Essen. Das Restaurant ist etwas herabgekommen und könnte renoviert werden. Allerdings tolles 70er Jahre Bad und alles war sauber.

五年後又有機會來法蘭吃Hankook 了，味道一樣很好，尤其是馬鈴薯😋 我們三個人點了一份烤五花、半份牛肉、半份豬五花拌魷魚，整體感覺都很棒，料汁很對味，服務員也很親切，以後有機會還會在來訪的🥰

Jedes Mal wenn ich in Frankfurt bin, besuche ich Hankook! Preis Leistung ist klasse, das Essen lecker und einfach bisher mit einer der besten K-Bbq's wo ich war. Der Service ist nett und schnell, Softdrinks bottomless. Ambiente ist okay, aber das gibt ein lokalen flair.

Ein guter Ort, um in Frankfurt koreanisches Essen zu essen. Das Ambiente hier ist cool und ein guter Ort, um mit Freunden und der Familie zu essen. Der Geschmack könnte im Vergleich zu anderen koreanischen Restaurants in Frankfurt viel besser sein. Das Essen, das wir bestellt haben, war jedoch ziemlich in Ordnung. Der Service war etwas langsam. Wir mussten viel länger warten, nur um ein paar Beilagen zu bestellen.

The Hankook Restaurant is where you get to eat authentic Korean food. People who are Korean natives say this is the best place to eat Korean food as it tastes like food from home. The food was tasty!! We completed our plates. For drinks there is a refill corner for soda and juices and you only pay for the first drink, the rest you can fill your glass as many times as you wish. The staff was amazing they even took their time to show me how to eat with chopsticks!! I would totallly recommend. It is okay in terms of ambiance as it is not fine dining. A nice place to also meet Koreans if interested in the cuture and people. I gave it a 4 coz the food and service was good but a lot can be done to make the room more inviting.

we had a great lunch here today. we ordered the barbecue set meal for two, and they cooked it on the table for us. it was worth the price; the banchan and rice, plus drinks were all refillable. service was very friendly,too.

If you want to eat authentic Korean food and have a good Korean feeling then you are clearly wrong here. The food quality is one of the worst that I ever experienced. They clearly don't care for the ingredients. Even the drinks are revolting. Cannot believe that I had to pay for that.

Koreanische Küche, die leider nur Durchschnitt ist. Alles vorhanden, aber kein Highlight. Die räume könnten eine gründliche Renovierung gebrauchen.

Leckeres BBQ Grill direkt am Tisch. Für eine große Gruppe sehr unterhaltsam. Wer gerne (viel) Fleisch mag ist hier genau richtig denn die Marinade ist wirklich lecker bei der Auswahl. Nur leider sehr teuer geworden. Uns wurde nicht direkt am Anfang aufgeklärt dass es durch Corona eine Preiserhöhung gibt! Und am Ende hat sich der Kellner selbst (ohne zu fragen!) Trinkgeld von meiner Karte abgebucht! Schade.. 3* für Geschmack der Gerichte

War mit Tochter hier und ihrer Freundin sie hat das Restaurant ausgewählt und wollte mal ein richtiges BBQ machen diese Art von was Neues es ist auch so Fleisch bezahlst du einmal bekommst jederzeit nachgereicht und natürlich das Gemüse war ausreichend es war auch gut Fleisch hat sehr gut geschmeckt dass ein beende ist normal aber es hat trotzdem Spaß gemacht wie gesagt das Essen war sehr gut

Viel Fleisch, nicht so authentisch koreanisch. Beim Buffet kann man nur eine Fleischsorte pro Person als all you eat auswähle . Es gibt 3-4 Beilagen zu dem Fleisch dazu. Es scheint so als habe der Inhaber gewechselt. Das Essen und Bedienung hat viel an der authentisch koreanischen Note verloren. Geschmacklich war es insgesamt okay.

Das BBQ ist der Hammer und die Beilagen die man umsonst nach bestellen darf sind super lecker. Unser favourite. Der Service ist ein bisschen schlecht, etwas unfreundlich, überfordert zum Teil. Preislich gesehen ist hankook etwas teurer aber man bekommt dafür was gutes. Sonntags ist der Laden leider zu... dennoch lieben wir das bbq dort und kommen immer wieder!

Die All-you-can-eat Gerichte zum „selberkochen“ am Tisch sind sehr originell und schmecken auch sehr gut. Wir waren mit 7 Personen und hatten insgesamt 5 verschiedene Sorten Fleisch/Fisch. Da man leere Grillplatten neu serviert bekommt, kann jeder alles probieren. Das Personal ist etwas unflexibel und die Räumlichkeiten sind nicht die allermodernsten. Ansonsten: gerne wieder ...

Waiter/waitress were extremely rude to us all along our dinner. If you can’t handle the stress of a Saturday evening rush, don’t put it on your customers, they paid to eat here not to be treated like parasites. The food was ok, nothing crazy really....
