SEOULFOOD in Frankfurt am Main

I visited Seoul a few months ago and would say the food is very authentic. Before my visit, I was very surprised to find so many vegetarian options on the menu, which is unfortunately quite rare in Seoul and also in Berlin (my hometown). I ordered the Wool Myeon soup and the vegan dumplings. The service was very friendly, the wok show was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the dumplings, and the soup was pleasantly mild with a deep, almost smoky aroma—perfect for people who can't tolerate spicy food.

I had pork and kimchi stew. The kimchi stew tasted like the sweet and savory kimchi stew you'd get at a barbecue restaurant, and the pork had a smoky flavor. It was better than most delivery restaurants I've had in Korea.

I was so happy to hear hello when I entered the restaurant. The stew and pork belly were really delicious. LOL!!

Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. I was craving a hearty soup and ordered a "Nutritious Seafood and Vegetable Stew." I received a very thin soup that had hardly any flavor, apart from being spicy. The vegetables consisted of many practically raw (!) pieces of onion and equally raw leeks, nothing else. Alongside these were a few mussels and a handful of tiny shrimp. It was served with dry, almost hard rice. The soup had no flavor whatsoever and was completely unfilling. The drinks selection was uninspired: beer, cola, Sprite, water, and a wine cocktail. The place doesn't seem to be designed for sitting down. Apart from the hum of the refrigerator and the cook's Korean cell phone videos, it was oppressively quiet. The decor is uninviting and unimaginative; you feel like you're sitting in the waiting area of ​​a delivery service. The service was friendly, but please put in a little more effort.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. I don't understand the high rating on Google Maps. I think the owners have changed. I ordered kimchi jjigae and dolsot bibimbap, and I finished both after a single bite. I was craving Korean food during a long trip, so I spent a lot of time and money there, but I regret it so much. The kimchi jjigae was just a hasty, poorly-made stew with only flavorless kimchi. They claim it's "red cabbage in broth." They say it's vegan, but it's not Korean at all. The dolsot doesn't even have sesame oil, and the rice isn't Korean rice; it's just mushy. The vegetables have no flavor. I wasted my time, money, and time. The owner was kind and apologized, but I can't help but feel uncomfortable. My job takes me abroad a lot, and I often see foreigners riding the K-pop craze and opening Korean restaurants, only to find themselves serving ridiculous food. This place is even worse. The prices are a bit cheaper than other Korean restaurants, but still, two jjigae and one dolsot for around 40 euros. This is not a place for authentic Korean food. If you want real one, it is not recommendable. As a Korean, it is not Korean food. It just pretends to be K food.

When did bulgogi become just fried minced meat? It only tastes of soy sauce. They use frozen udon noodles from Asian supermarkets, but at least it's supposed to be seasoned a bit better... It wasn't worth €13 at all.

Delicious food, friendly service – it was like being in South Korea. I highly recommend this place, five stars!

But due to an error, it seems like credit card payments aren't being accepted in the store right now, so make sure to bring cash! The ATM across the street has no fees. Sparkasse/Travel Wallet card is the standard.

This restaurant is fantastic! As a Korean food enthusiast with high standards for bibimbap, I was thrilled by the vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients in their dish—it truly hit the spot! If I could, I would give so many more stars. The food is absolutely 100/10. The staff are so warm and welcoming that you don't want to leave. We'll definitely be back! The perfect place!

I spent two weeks in Europe on a family trip with my child. Since I'm heading back tomorrow, I decided to find Korean food for my last meal, walking through the dark streets of Frankfurt at night. I guess I really missed the spiciness of Korean food. ^^ It was my child's birthday in Korea, and the owner gave me fried dumplings as a gift. (Kimchi dumplings, no less.) I was so absorbed in the kimchi stew, pork belly, and kimchi pancakes that I didn't even take pictures. I felt the warmth of Korea in a foreign country. I wish you prosperity ♡

The food was salty and tasteless, and the service was the worst. It felt like the customers were watching the owner's face while eating. It was the worst in Ppu. I won't go there again.

During my two years studying abroad in London, I had only fond memories of Korean restaurants. But this time, I happened to stay at Seoul Food, right next to my hotel (Rimada Hotel), and I truly experienced Korean hospitality. The jjambbong, kimchi jjigae, and yangnyeom chicken were all delicious, and the japchae was especially delicious. I'm truly grateful for providing such wonderful Korean food and memories in such a faraway place, and I hope your business continues to prosper.

Best matcha (strawberry) – unsweetened and delicious. The food was okay, but the portions were a bit small. Service was friendly. The value for money was adequate. The tipping options at the terminal were cheeky (starting at 15% – USA style).

I tried the Chinese menu because it was surprisingly good. Following the boss's show of being bad, the Chinese food was even better than in Korea.

The owner is very friendly. I wanted to eat Korean food during a long business trip to Europe, so I just looked it up on Google Maps and went. It was delicious!!!! I'll have to come back and try other dishes next time I'm in Frankfurt for business. I had jjambbong and plain rice, and it wasn't greasy and was delicious. The TV inside the restaurant showed idol music videos, which was really nice.

Not what it used to be. Completely overpriced and average quality. No different kinds of rice anymore, toppings like tofu cost 3€. Only payment in cash possible.

The kimchi pancakes were exceptionally good! The chapjae was also delicious :) I would definitely eat here again!

It's no longer worth the trip to Frankfurt for this. The shop has apparently been taken over by another operator. Some of the ingredients for the bibimbap are no longer available. My rice was already dried out (regular bibimbap, not dolsot). The beef was ground and boiled (?) instead of fried. Everything was edible. The taste was okay, but nothing more. I'm sorry. I know I sound disappointed, but you have to understand that Seoulfood was my favorite Korean restaurant, and I simply miss the taste of the past.

Today, after much research in Frankfurt, we went to Seoul Food for bibimbap and kimchi stew. My husband and I couldn't hide our bitterness the whole time we left. If the restaurant had a more relaxed atmosphere, it would have been such a pleasant and happy meal. The staff and customers were chatting and talking freely! The noise from the drinking parties in the small restaurant made us uncomfortable the whole time we were eating next to each other. We quickly put down our spoons and left, but it felt like the pride we always feel in Korean restaurants abroad was slightly undermined! The food wasn't bad, so I wish they had paid a little more attention to service. ^^

Very nice food, I liked especially the Kimbap. I also order a desert which was very yummy. I liked it a lot that I even came 3 times during my one week vacation. It's not far from Tram Stop. It was very good but it has small place for a lot of customers. But it was very good. Staff were nice. I recommend

As a fellow Korean, I'm ashamed. If you're going to sell Korean food in a foreign country, do your homework before selling it. If a foreigner eats this food and says, "Oh, Korean food is this bad," it's a disgrace to the country. I travel to Europe often, so I occasionally visit Korean restaurants like this, and this was the worst I've ever been to. The rice smelled bad, and the tteokbokki tasted like they mixed red pepper powder in plain water. The dumplings, which were just fried and made from scratch, were the best. You shouldn't do business like this.

The Jjamppong and pork have a nice smoky flavor, the atmosphere is nice, and they are so delicious.

Fried chicken was nice but the noodle of Jjamppong could be better with different kind.

This ramen comes with springy noodles, warm and savory broth. The bibimbap is colorful, full of fresh vegetables, and has a nice balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors from the gochujang sauce. Both dishes are filling but not too heavy, making them perfect for breakfast

I came here on the 8th day of my European trip because I was craving Korean food, and it was so, so delicious! The teriyaki rice bowl and stone pot bibimbap were delicious, and the kimchi that came as a side dish was especially delicious🥲❤️ The owner was also friendly, and I had a great time :) Highly recommended☺️!!!!

Of all the Korean restaurants I've eaten at in Phu, this one was the best. I also liked the many Korean-inspired menu items. Don't go to the similar Chinese restaurants nearby. Come to the one run by a Korean owner. I highly recommend it.

I had Dolsot Bibimbab with my friends – it was super delicious, a little spicy, but still good. It reminded me of my time in Korea, so I can definitely recommend it! And since I'm vegan, it was a good fit – they have quite a few vegan dishes 🙂‍↕️🌾

On the last day of my trip, I really wanted to eat Korean food, so I stopped by. I ordered ramen kimbap as a side dish^^ In addition to this, I also ordered jajangmyeon and jjambbong. The food was authentically Korean. It was delicious!

I've known this shop for a really long time, and I'm always amazed at how much heart and soul you can taste in the food. The owners are incredibly warm and super friendly, and they'll explain the dishes to you if you don't know them. The food quality is a 12/10! Even though the shop is very small, it's hard to find a good spot in Frankfurt.

A unique restaurant with the best dolsot/bibimbab I've ever had (apart from Korea/Japan)! The restaurant isn't very spacious, but the delicious food makes it all the more worthwhile! Everything is freshly prepared and authentic :)

I came here because I wanted Korean food, and the pork was smoky and delicious! The kimbap was vegetarian, which was good! The tteokbokki was spicy and delicious, and best of all, it was cheap, so it was great value for money. There aren't many Korean restaurants in Ppu that offer this kind of taste at this price, so I'm glad I found it!!!

€10 for ramyun+gimbap. It was cup noodles and just carrots in the gimbap. Disappointed. 😞.

This place is really delicious. I've only ever eaten foreign food, so this was my first time at a Korean restaurant. It was so delicious that I practically inhaled it. The owner is also very kind, and I highly recommend it. I ordered seafood stew, but if you ask for it to be spicier, they'll make it spicier!!!! Make sure to get it extra spicy. Japchae is only 8 euros,,, and there are many different side dishes, so be sure to order some and share! The owner is Korean, so you don't have to worry about the language barrier, so I highly recommend it.

Tried to stop by few days ago. Even at 11:45, it was still closed and I can’t judge the food quality. The thing I can say is, it was not opened as it was written at the front door.

The two of us ate there yesterday. We had bibimbap and bulgogi. It was delicious. It came with healthy side dishes and Korean dumplings. It was my first time eating Korean food, and I was very impressed with the restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The space is quite small, but it's very close to the main train station and easy to get to. We'd be happy to go back.

I went in because I had no other choice in the short time I had at Banhopap and ordered jjambbong, cheonggukjang, and samgyeopsal. The taste was not bad, but the side dishes they gave me looked like someone had leftovers, and when they grilled the samgyeopsal, I could tell it wasn't very presentable, but they served it carelessly, and it was worse than a neighborhood snack shop. The only thing that made up for it was the friendliness of the servers or part-timers. I don't think I'll go there next time.
