Super cute location. The food arrived without a long wait, and the service was super friendly. The iced tea was simply amazing. Compared to other Korean restaurants, the food here lacked a bit of spice. Definitely worth trying.

Title: A culinary disappointment on a stick – Stay away from the "Corndog" What the hell was that? I was looking forward to a classic corndog – crispy on the outside, spicy on the inside, a hint of a carnival feeling. What I got was a farce on a skewer. 15 cm corndog – of which a measly 3 cm sausage. The rest? An endless lump of greasy dough that resembled raw cake batter more than crispy breading. And instead of crunchy seasoning – cheese. Just cheese. Who decided that a corndog should suddenly be a cheesy cylinder of dough with a sausage token? And then the absolute mockery: sugar. ON a corndog. Who the hell thought of covering this lump of dough with a layer of granulated sugar? A dish that doesn't know whether it wants to be dessert or a heart attack. A disaster in terms of taste, an insult in terms of texture, and an outrage in terms of price. If I want to eat cheesecake with sugar, I'll bake myself a crepe and put a candle on it. Conclusion: If you like corn dogs, you'll be disappointed here. If you've never had one, you'll never want one again after this disaster. I, for one, feel culinary cheated. Never again. Waiting time: about 15 minutes for a cheesecake with sugar.

SO good legit the best korean food i’ve ever had

Unfortunately, the food wasn't what I had imagined. My friends loved it, but it didn't convince me. The room felt very small and a bit cramped, and the Coke was completely flat. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly.

We've tried many Korean restaurants in the Rhine-Main area, and Sojubar is one of our absolute favorites. The pork belly with kimchi and Chinese cabbage leaves, the pancakes, and the soups are particularly outstanding. We'll be back very soon to try the rest of the menu. Many thanks to the team and the wonderful waitress.

It wasn't the first and it won't be the last visit! Delicious! No matter what we've eaten so far, it's been really good.

Were there as a group, one of them didn't get any food. It was only after 15 minutes that our food was there and when we asked, they said that there was a mistake and that the food would be remade. After another 15 minutes we had all eaten and my brother didn't feel like waiting any longer. Corn dogs are ridiculous. There are 5 cm of sausage packed into a 15 cm corn dog, and all in all it's not particularly tasty. Not disgusting but just bland.

I had the tteokbokki with cheese and it was so delicious! My girlfriend had the bibimbap and that was also delicious! The shop is also small but very cozy, highly recommended 😄

You're not even allowed to sit for 2 minutes after eating, you're immediately chased away while you're still chewing. The food is good apart from the prices, but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired.

The food was everything that i wanted, the staff was super nice and the atmosphere was really comfortable. Oftentimes Korean food can be too sweet for me, but here it was just the right amount of sweetness to compliment the spicyness and savoryness of the dishes.

Had the budae jigae. It was perfectly fine, especially good mixed with rice. The kimchi was a bit bland however (probably watered down a bit for local tastes).

Unfortunately, the taste of the food is below average. The shop is small but colorful and beautifully decorated.

Good Korean food in a more modern setting. The food is very good - I have tried almost all the dishes and can recommend everything without reservation. I find the corn dog very interesting - anyone who eats there should try it. The service is always nice and attentive. Customizable soups and a good selection of Korean foods keep me coming back for a visit again and again.

This place is always where I drink a lot of soju and get drunk. The tteokbokki and soup-based side dishes are all basically delicious. This time I tried the fried pork (Je-yuk) for the first time, and it was so rich in flavor! Other comments; The stairs to the toilet are a bit dangerous so I worry when I'm drunk. And I wish the soju prices were a bit cheaper… Overall, it's super tasty and has a real Korean vibe that I love.

Of particular note was the waitress, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the day even better. I highly recommend this restaurant! We called ahead to see if we could still come 1 hour before closing time. It was answered in the affirmative. Arrived 40 minutes before closing time and then sent us away because the kitchen was already closed because there was so little going on. You don't do that. Are pretty disappointed.

Unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. The corn dog was covered with sugar on the bottom and didn't taste good. Also, it was half cheese instead of full sausage, which wasn't clear on the menu. The Korean Fried Chicken gave the impression that it was frozen food, as its taste and consistency were very reminiscent of industrially produced products. In addition, the presentation was not as shown on the menu: the chicken appeared to be glazed with sweet chili sauce, while in fact it was served dry and less visually appealing. Overall, the food unfortunately did not meet our expectations and was also not recommended in terms of price-performance ratio.

I rate this restaurant one star because of the service and the rude way we were treated. We wanted to eat on site, but after paying it quickly became clear that it was a question of choice of food whether you could eat inside or be sent outside. Despite empty tables and 2 hours until the next reservation, we were chased out of the store because we had “only” ordered corn dogs plus drinks for the service and therefore, according to the waitress, we were not guests. Disgraceful to treat a customer like that, after all we left our money there. Therefore never again.

Food was very authentic and the soju is a must. The place is small and cramp.

Friendly service, delicious dishes would come again

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat corn dogs there, but it was only available to take away, which was only mentioned after the payment process. We had to wait outside the door and in the cold we were given water that was already open without being resealed. The employees were very unfriendly to us Corndog itself was okay though

Since watching couple of Korean shows, I had an urge to try their cuisine and soju!! I have to say that atmosphere at the Sojubar is great, K-pop music and hospitable and friendly stuff make great experience for customers. This was first time that we tried Korean cuisine outside, usually we make meals ourselves but some things we cant or don’t know how to ☺️ Personally I enjoyed everything I tried! Soju is great drink as well, we came specifically to try it. Big recommendation! ❤️

Worst korean food i ever Had. All the Tables Had at least 50% leftovers. Esp the Chicken was Horror. Weirdly soft inside and Outside and old tasting. The bulgogi meat was Not marinated so it tasted Like pure Beef mince. The Sauce was good though in which it was swimming. Rice needs to be ordered extra which is always a Bad sign (No korean owners probably) In the end we almost paid 60€. Would Not recommend and ever Go there again.

A very centrally located store with a nice decoration. The owner and staff are really very friendly and the food came quickly and was very tasty! We were very happy with our visit and would love to come back when we are in Frankfurt again.

I visited this place without prior information. I usually don't write reviews. Personally, this was the worst Korean restaurant I've ever had while living in Germany for over 20 years. I ordered a total of 3 dishes. -The chicken gangjeong is soggy and tastes worse than the convenience store chicken gangjeong. -Is bulgogi sour? Strange food that looks like it's been stir-fried with seasoning, sour??? -Seafood and green onion pancakes are usually called Korean pancakes in foreign countries, but they actually add a little seafood to the pancake batter to make fluffy seafood pancakes????? What I remember is the sour taste that I don't know what it is. Fortunately, the cola was the best. The people serving you are kind. The food tastes so weird Isn’t this place run by a Korean? I thought about this. When I looked at the kitchen, I saw that the chef, an older man, was using a large, wide Chinese knife.

Small cute Korean restaurant in the city center. Even though it was busy and we hadn't reserved a table, the waitress was super nice and very friendly to us. Super tasty corn dogs and freshly prepared! You can also order the corn dogs to take away! The chicken was slightly spicy, but still super tasty! The Tteokbokki, I've wanted to try it for a while, I was just afraid of how spicy it was. I asked the waitress without being extra spicy and it was a beautiful experience, a really good dish, the addition of cheese on top is a must if you want to try the signature dish! For us it was a wonderful experience, we will definitely come back to try other typical dishes! 😉

Very good place, very easy to get to, the atmosphere is very nice, the food is very delicious and the people who served us too, in fact there is a lady who works there who is too sweet, she is very pretty and friendly, she made me feel like when my grandmother I was going to ask if her food was delicious, she also helped me with my plate to eat it correctly.

We always like to eat here when we are traveling in Frankfurt. A cozy little restaurant, good selection of food and delicious drinks. The employees are all very nice and accommodating and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

To satisfy my craving for Korean food, I keep looking around my surroundings and that's how I discovered the Sojubar in Frankfurt and after trying a corn dog potato to go and Budae Jjigae with banchan and rice on site, I have to say that I was completely satisfied with this restaurant. The food, especially the Budae Jjigae, is deliciously prepared and the restaurant even accommodates special requests. The owner is very accommodating and I couldn't eat better Budae Jjigae in South Korea. The restaurant has a small selection of Korean soft drinks and several dishes that are typically Korean and are worth trying. A very nice restaurant for fans of Korean cuisine

Without words!!! The corn dog was shockingly disgusting. I had read good things about this store on the internet but was disabused of it! The corn dog had ketchup, mayonnaise and so on and was simply dipped in sugar, how do you come up with something like that. It really wasn't enjoyable. Never again sojubar!!! Lg

I ordered DAK GANGJONG, I only got pieces with LOTS of cartilage. I ate 2 pieces and nothing worked after that. The corn dogs are filled half with cheese and half with sausage. Mayo, ketchup and siracha were used for sauces, which in itself was okay except that it was dipped in a lot of sugar. €27.70 simply WASTED!!! Not recommended.

Quite late at night, looking for something warm and homely to eat. Best decision ever.

Very tasty Korean restaurant. The restaurant offers space for a maximum of around 20 people and therefore looks very small and cozy. We actually just came here to eat corn dogs but then we saw the menu and ate properly. The crispy chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce was especially delicious. The waitresses were also very friendly and the food came quickly. The price was also completely reasonable. About 45 euros for two people.

Best corn dog I have ever eaten in my life!!

I'm sorry, how does this place has 4 stars! The food is sooo bad: kimchi is really bad, which is hard to achieve. The soup was horrible: the nudels are very overcooked. The chicken were average and too fatty. The owner isn't friendly and was forcing us to sit on one table, even though almost all other tables were empty. I think it has 4 stars because all teens come here to eat this Korean corn dog, that seems unhealthy fried and fatty also. Also, the bathroom has spiders. Great experience (not again). Update: i just asked a Korean friend, who is also a chef, and he confirmed that the kitchen here is really bad 😞

I was in the Soju Bar for the first time today. The shop itself looks good, but I waited 30 minutes for 2 corn dogs and the shop owners didn't even respond in any way. That's not how business works. Anyone who is hungry should come. If you want to have a level, you shouldn't. Not even an apology.

Ordered 2 main course with side dish included (Panchan) but only got one. After asking for our second one, they didn't want to serve until we finish the first one. The reason being most people don't finish their Panchan. Ideally 2 person would not like to share one Panchan between us, so I asked to have the second one right away since it should be in the process already. (We all know Korean restaurant side dishes should be refilled for free at all times, but I digress). After receiving the second one, the European coleslaw was lukewarm as if it was not refrigerated and the string beans had awful taste. So there is no question why other customers were leaving them out, i don't think the portion is not the problem here, it's the taste.

The location is quite nice on the ground floor. This time we were put in the musty, funny-smelling basement. The service then stopped showing up.

This... It's a frozen taste that can't even be called the taste of a Korean company... Except for us, there were foreigners in front, behind, and on both sides... I was worried that they might mistake this for k-food and be disappointed... .. It was a taste and service that cannot be forgiven by a glutton…

We discovered this place because we are becoming passionate about Korean cuisine. We still don't know many typical dishes so we can't wait to try new dishes here. We tasted the Korean Korn Dog here for the first time and we were pleasantly satisfied. The taste is very good and the good thing is that you can customize it outside. The staff was very kind and friendly. The place is very beautiful and crowded so I recommend reservation because we didn't know but luckily they had free tables that day. We will definitely go back and try new dishes to discover!

They ask for reservations for empty seats. It is forbidden to sit with Corn Dog. At least it should have said on the door that it was “to go”.

Very tasty food, I wanted to take a corn dog with me yesterday and when it started raining I was brought straight in and was allowed to eat inside. Then the hunger really woke up and I ordered something straight away. The food is very authentic and a must for spiciness lovers.
