The pizza was incredibly delicious and arrived in less than 10 minutes after ordering, even though the place was packed. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. The dessert was also very tasty and beautifully presented.

It was our first time eating there, and we were absolutely delighted. The service was incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was very appealing. The menu offered a great selection, and everything tasted fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice restaurant and delicious food

I don't often give 5 stars, but anything less would be unfair here! The food—quality, quantity, and presentation—was perfect. The beef tartare and the rib-eye steak were almost Michelin-star quality.

We came here twice during our vacation and were thrilled. Among other dishes, we had the seafood pan, which was delicious. The pizza, which was delicious. Friendly and attentive service. Beautiful ambiance. The best restaurant experience in a long time. By the way, at lunchtime, they don't just offer the lunch menu, but this IN ADDITION to the dinner menu and the daily specials. Prices at lunchtime are great. Prices on the regular menu are higher, but reasonable. Thank you Castos for the great experience, and keep up the good work! ❤️

Reserving two shifts is a no-go. A relaxed meal is hardly possible. The food is a matter of taste, well-seasoned or sometimes under-seasoned. The restaurant is overcrowded, and the tables are too close together. The wall decorations are unusually beautiful. But the waiter tables are chaotically crammed in, ruining the overall look. The waiters are friendly and attentive, but also overwhelmed and rushed, due to the aforementioned reasons.

Anyone who comes to Emden and hasn't been here has missed a real treat...the food was fantastic – from the pizza bread to the tagliatelle with salmon, the ravioli in fig and cheese sauce, and the tiramisu...with a view of the inland harbor, we dined in the most wonderful ambiance. We would love to come back!

There were four of us dining, two couples. We managed to get a table by phone at short notice despite it being a Saturday evening. Excellent service, first-class food, and the prices are completely justified for the quality. It was very busy, but the service was superb. Drinks came quickly, and the food was brought to everyone at the same time. Highly recommended; we'll be happy to stop by next time we're in Emden.

A large but very attractive restaurant with a great ambiance. Plenty of seating inside and several outside, right on the water. A wide variety of delicious dishes, and friendly, attentive staff.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I had the tuna steak with linguini in alio e olio. Simply perfect! The tuna steak was cooked pink in a teriyaki sauce and tender as butter. The pasta was tossed with tomatoes, pepperoni, and Parmesan... fantastic. Thank you for the excellent food. Plus, the seating is so nice... 👍👍👍

After a flight from SPO to Emden, this was a "chance find" for us. The atmosphere at the harbor in good weather is almost unbeatable, and the food is truly good and plentiful. We had four different main courses, along with appetizers and drinks. Everyone who attended was delighted by both the a la carte and lunch menu. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We would all love to come back 👍🏻

The restaurant is very modern and stylish. It has a great decor. Service is very prompt and very friendly! Drinks and meals arrived very quickly. The restaurant overlooks the harbor/water. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, I didn't like the vegan pizza; it was very mayonnaise-heavy: it basically just tasted like mayo and had nothing to do with pizza. It's a shame, really; the vegan option could have been implemented better. It's great, though, that there's a vegan alternative. Unfortunately, there was only one vegetarian option for the pasta. We would gladly come back, though.

The restaurant has a great location and is beautifully decorated. The food—in my case, antipasti and seafood pan—didn't impress me. It was far too salty and uninspired. I get the same thing at any pizzeria, only cheaper. I won't post any pictures; everyone else has already done that!!!!!!!!!!

I can only praise this Italian restaurant highly in every respect. We were there on Saturday evening, September 6th, and it was packed. Nevertheless, the service was very attentive, prompt, and cheerful despite the busy schedule. The food, sea bream and Iberico pork, was excellent, and the wine recommendation was excellent. Two of us dined at Castos for dinner. The menu is extensive and varied, and vegetarians also have a good selection. The dishes (baked burrata, flank steak, pizza, and tuna steak with tagliatelle) were delicious and freshly prepared, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The wait staff was very friendly and dedicated. However, some of the servers were literally running around, which caused a bit of unease. We were served by at least four different employees, often asking us several times within a few minutes if everything was okay. However, we later had to order the bill three times, and we then had to (successfully) search for the package containing a leftover pizza. With all due respect to the team's commitment, a bit more coordination and order would have been desirable here, as the atmosphere was already quite cosy for us. Furthermore, the tables in our section were very close together, so there was virtually no privacy. The rather loud background noise added to the noise. Perhaps they could remove a few tables to create a more relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, we can definitely recommend Castos, especially for the food!

I was initially skeptical about the top rating of 4.9. But I have to say it's more than deserved. The dishes range from homemade pasta to pizza to burgers. Highly recommended.

We were there with three generations from the area. Father, grandmother, children... There was something for everyone! Great service with the drinks and food selection! We barely ordered and it was already served! We must have had five different servers at our table to serve us as quickly as possible! Everyone took care of our drink and food selection! The two of us had dinner here. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. The service is attentive, friendly, and prompt. We had bruschetta and carpaccio for starters. Unfortunately, one of the starters was forgotten, and my vegan pizza wasn't cooked all the way through in the middle.

Great atmosphere! We stayed at the campsite directly across the street for three days and ate at Casto's on two days. Really friendly staff, delicious authentic Neapolitan pizza, and a great restaurant. We'd love to go back. Be sure to try the Pizza Parma!

Highly recommended. The food was excellent, and the service very friendly. You sit right on the jetty overlooking the marina. High windows offer a beautiful view, even in bad weather. It looks very tasty and is definitely worth a visit.

A lovely restaurant with good food. The fact that it's always very busy speaks for itself. The staff was so friendly and offered us a table after a short wait, even without a reservation. The food was served very quickly and tasted very good. Unfortunately, the pizza got cold very quickly – but I don't know if they preheat pizza plates – otherwise, that would be a good tip :). I think making a reservation is almost essential here. The menu is varied, and the dishes are a pleasant surprise.

A definite recommendation! We were here with a friend who recommended the restaurant. We trawled the menu together. The appetizer platter for two easily accommodated a third, and the salads were well-presented and a decent size. The pizza we ordered with it was also easy to share. My Iberico cheeks were a dream. The pistachio tartuffo received high praise, and my lemon cream had a pleasant and very good acidity/sweetness balance. We accompanied it with Sicilian lemonade and the house cellar beer. Very drinkable without any malt notes. Enthusiastic doesn't even come close!

We are absolutely thrilled. Today was our first time at Castos in Emden. The food was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The waitress was also super nice and took plenty of time to give us dish recommendations. The decor is also very nice. You can sit both inside and outside. The value for money is really solid for such good food. We will definitely come back next time we are in Emden. We highly recommend making a reservation before you visit, as the restaurant gets really busy.

My mom and I took a short trip to Emden for five days, and we ate here for two of them – and for good reason! The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating. There was always time for a quick chat, and drinks and food were served promptly. The food was excellent – hot, delicious, and more than punctual. We highly recommend it! :)

Castos Emden is a very good address when it comes to good food. The various dishes taste particularly good here. The two of us had the appetizer platter (pictured) which was very good. Afterwards an excellent pizza with a dough base that I've never had before. 🍕👌 The atmosphere here is very modern, comfortable and made with lots of wood. The location of the restaurants is very nice on the water in Emden. The staff here is very competent and friendly, there is only good things to say here. Ask if it tastes good or if there is anything missing. 😃👍 I can only recommend a visit to Castos.

Large portions, very tasty. The pizza was 100% Neapolitan, with a soft crust and plenty of toppings. The fried burrata on the pizza of the day with chanterelle mushrooms was a real highlight. We were there for dinner last Wednesday and Friday evening. Everyone was friendly, quick, and attentive. The food was tasty and presented superbly. The carpaccio with chanterelle mushrooms for the starter was superb. The pizza was excellent. On Friday, we had carpaccio again, because it was already delicious on Wednesday. Again, it was superb. The steak from the daily special was excellent. The chanterelle mushrooms could have been a bit hotter; unfortunately, they were only slightly lukewarm, but delicious. The tagliatelle with shrimp and truffle sauce was excellent and also nice and hot. The ambiance was very nice. Overall, a great place. Super friendly staff. The boss always keeps an eye on everything, and always in a positive way. They both work in the restaurant industry themselves. We can highly recommend the restaurant. Super friendly staff and flexible with table allocation. We didn't have a reservation. The pizza wasn't quite to our taste; we prefer the classic Italian (flat and with a thin crust), but as mentioned, that's a matter of taste. We recommend this restaurant 100%.

Super delicious food, in a top location (right by Emden harbor). The staff are very motivated and very friendly! The owner/boss works there himself and is on top of things at all times! Lots of outside seating (please reserve in advance, especially on weekends, otherwise you'll have to wait)! The interior has also been thoughtfully designed. Whether it's pictures or decorative elements, everything fits together perfectly. There's even a slightly larger table inside where you have a clear view of Emden harbor, like in a winter garden. There's a children's menu and a coloring page for children, including provided colored pencils. The restrooms are very well maintained and modern. Prices are a little higher than normal, but absolutely justified for everything. We'll be happy to come back.

The food was great, but we were there with four women and had made reservations. We ended up feeling very uncomfortable and even threw something out. We paid because one of us had to leave early for personal reasons, and two of us had ordered drinks right before paying. We sat at our table for about 45 minutes after paying, and the waiters kept looking at us. We ended up feeling very uncomfortable. It's worth mentioning that there were still tables available. We all ate well. Then we should communicate that.

Had a lovely time at Castos with an excellent 7 course meal prepared by Damien. We booked a table in advance (recommend doing so as the place is pretty popular) and told Damien to surprise us - he delivered! The meals we had are not typically on the menu, but something Damian wanted to serve us. Nice blends, good taste and surprising display (the "Cappuccino" Beef Stroganoff). If you're ever in Emden, this is the place to eat.

This was our first time at Castos in Emden. The atmosphere was great. The service was very friendly and attentive to our needs the entire time. We ordered the "Antipasti Burrata" starter with our main course. Unfortunately, it arrived too early. After we pointed it out, it was cleared away and served with the main course. We suspect it was waiting for us, though, because it was no longer warm but unfortunately cold. The taste wasn't that great either, so we lost a star. The aioli comes in three different colors and varieties; it's very tasty, but it really burns afterward. Even the next day. We'll definitely be back.
