Just really good. Rarely have you felt so comfortable and eaten so deliciously!

I was only in Emden for one night but I would say probably the best Italian in the city👍mega ambience, very nice and courteous service and very tasty and high-quality food. We'd love to come back 🤍

Very great service and advice on food and drinks

With a wonderful view of the Delft, I enjoyed the excellent food served by very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Today I was there again. In terms of food, ambience and especially the staff, the restaurant is the best that East Frisia has to offer, far beyond its borders.

I've been thinking about writing a review about last night for a long time... this restaurant has always been my favorite. We come specifically from Leer and have our expectations. Yesterday was unfortunately very disappointing for the first time. Well... we were there on time, just before 6 p.m., and it started with an unpleasant discussion about our reserved table... ok, settled... the atmosphere yesterday: completely overcrowded, stressed employees, bad air... we ordered drinks, a beer was missing... our starter plate ended up half on the floor and half on the bench, we cleaned the latter ourselves because it was forgotten... a fork was missing from the cutlery... the second drink delivery tipped over the waitress brought a - thank God empty bottle of beer - then our food was forgotten and we had to wait another hour... we were then told that as an apology we would receive a dessert or a drink. Unfortunately we didn't have the choice, a small pistachio liqueur came.... I almost sank into the ground when faced with my guests, I wanted to have a nice birthday evening, unfortunately that was nothing. We don't know that and the 200 euros weren't worth it. It's nice that they apologized, but hey, honestly... you can't accept more guests than you can handle. I was just sad 😞

Best restaurant in Emden. Nice ambience, great service and very tasty food. You can spend a great evening here. In the evenings (especially on weekends) you should make a reservation.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with good cuisine and very attentive service. The appetizer platter for two people was perfectly put together and for me the best I've had so far. The ambience invites you to a relaxed evening and the service was perfect. Finally, the delicious desserts, which are highly recommended.

I could sit wherever I wanted, which is why I sat on a corner bench with my dog. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Every single one made you feel welcome and that you could stay without stress. The food was very tasty, even if I don't know why there would be this purple crumbly stuff on the food. I think that spoiled the taste of the really delicious food. My dog ​​also got water straight away. I never had to wait long for service to come. The prices are high. But an evening in this restaurant right on the harbor is worth a visit. Thank you for the feeling of welcome.

Castos is just super delicious and awesome! The employees Michele, the new employee or the new employees, are just really nice and helpful! Better than The New Sergio! We always enjoy going back to Castros.

The pizza is great. The homemade dough is especially great. In the pasta dishes, some of the noodles are too al dente. Unfortunately I had to reorder my drink twice. But the service is consistently friendly.

I am absolutely convinced of the Castos. We were there yesterday at lunchtime and out of sheer excitement we went there again this evening. The ambience, the service, the food... the best I've ever experienced. Tonight the Castos was fully booked and so it was full. Thanks to the architecture of the restaurant and the furnishings in conjunction with acoustic dampening elements, it is neither loud nor annoying, but rather pleasantly relaxed even when it is busy. The staff is always busy and the service never falters for a moment. I've never experienced that anywhere before. Top. Now about the food: How delicious is it there? I had the best pizza ever, my wife had the finest pasta. Plus a delicious dessert. I rarely rave about it, but the Castos is awesome. Thanks for 2 great visits! Absolute recommendation!°°

A really great restaurant with delicious food, great service and a great ambience. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the carpaccio. Here it is served with balsamic cream although carpaccio actually only includes olive oil and lemon juice. In our opinion, this should be changed.

The restaurant is very nice and the food, although very expensive, is very good. Unfortunately, people forget about the toilets. Toilet paper, towels and soap were missing here. This shouldn't happen.

It is by far the best restaurant I have ever seen. It is very tastefully decorated and the waiters and waitresses are very animal-friendly, nice and spontaneous. You can't say anything about the price. Just reading the map makes your teeth drip. All our dishes were like wellness for the eyes, mouth and soul. Food was great as always but the service wasn't that great today, employees seemed overwhelmed and disorganized.

A dinner right on the harbor, a great view and really good food, how could it be better. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here, the service is just as good as the rest. It's a shame that I don't live in Emden, I would be a guest here every day. The pizzas are particularly noteworthy, you rarely find such good ones.

We are on holiday in Emden for a few days and the restaurant was recommended to us by a work colleague. When we arrived at 5:30 p.m. the restaurant was already busy. We still got a table in the entrance area. At 6:10 p.m. the restaurant was completely booked. No wonder given the good quality. It wasn't anything wrong, the food was plentiful and perfectly fine. Unique service at an excellent location. The chili burger is really top notch and the quality of the food is generally at the highest level. This is of course priced in accordingly, but at a moderate level. (The only thing you can call moderate about Castos are the prices ;) )

Heard about this restaurant through local friends, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was good, although quiet. This pizza came unsliced (with an instrument to slice it), which is something I’ve never seen before. The cheese was delicious and the toppings followed suit. There was not much sauce, but I tend to like pizza without too much sauce, so this is not a negative for me. The breading was incredible (as typical with Europe), but I would have loved to see a better ratio between the breading and the other ingredients. 8.1/10 pizza. Very close to the best pizza I’ve had. Would recommend very highly.

We ate here one evening during our week in Emden. We had a table by the window. It was very good. Very good, fast service and very tasty food. Reserving a table in advance makes sense. We can recommend the Pizza Milano, Penne Spezzantino and the Tiramisu.

Enjoy good food in a fantastic ambience. Of course the prices are more expensive than usual. But the food is extremely good and the service served us very well and also asked at the right time whether we could have something to drink. Highly Recommended. Thanks

A "real" Italian. We recommend. "Pizza Verdesio" and "New Zealand rump steak with chanterelles" were excellent. It's not the last time we've been there.

It doesn't get any better! We had a delicious meal here and drank great house beer. The waiters are nice and attentive and the ambience by the water is really great. If you don't eat here, it's your own fault!

Now my number one place for pizza. Personally the best pizza I've eaten so far. Aromatic, juicy and crispy. Recommendation: order aioli on the side. It is worth it .. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. I can only recommend this place to anyone who loves high quality food. Keep it up!

There was once a magazine called beef! and in the same category “My best piece of meat / my best bottle of wine, etc..” I had this experience twice at Casto’s! What I feel is the best service in forever and the best pizza too! Where can you get a whole mozzarella in the middle of the pizza!?! And a thin and deliciously tasty edge? The appetizers? All of them prefer to be ordered directly. Unfortunately we were only able to enjoy vitello, carpaccio and the appetizer platter on two evenings. The service team is just as perfect as the food. Friendly, attentive, unobtrusive and even when you leave the restaurant, EVERYONE says goodbye and wishes you a nice evening! And that despite the hut being full! He, I simply call him Concierge de Table, has a complete overview of the reservations and really tries to make everything possible so that you can still enjoy the delicacies. We will be back definitely! Thank you for so much hospitality, despite the stressful days of the matjes festival!

If you want to have a really tasty meal, this is the place for you! Very friendly staff and the ambience go hand in hand with the top food. It's difficult without a reservation. We didn't have one but we were offered to come back in an hour and that worked great. I can 100% recommend this restaurant.

We really had a great experience here. We spontaneously wanted to go out for dinner here on a public holiday, but unfortunately everything in the restaurant was full, so we chose a table outside. The restaurant is absolutely stylish and modern and the interior is something very special. You sit outside by the water, which also has a great atmosphere. Both the drinks and the food came quickly. We ordered two pizzas and the pizzas were one of the best we have ever eaten. We were really impressed and can only agree with the good reviews. Castos is really worth a visit - but it's best to make a reservation, especially if you want to eat with several people. We'd love to come back!

Exceptional location with great service

We have been guests at Casto's Emden for many years and eat there regularly. We really love the food there. No matter which dish we order, everything tastes great. Our favorites, the mixed appetizer platter and the tiramisu, are an absolute must for every visit. The service cannot be beat. The staff is always on hand and ensures that you feel completely comfortable here. The ambience completes the whole thing and ensures a perfect visit to the restaurant. Casto's is and remains number 1 for us.

Simply fantastic! I ate here for the first time with my friends and I was thrilled! As soon as we sat at the table, we were served in a very friendly manner. The drinks came to our table very quickly and our request to give us some time to choose a meal was also accepted. The food itself was also very tasty. Very, very nice and elegant atmosphere. Depending on where you sit, you still have a great view of the water. The only point of criticism is the extreme noise in the restaurant due to the open atmosphere. While the food was excellent, the service fell short as our wait time for the meal exceeded an hour. Recently, I received a surprising email from Google regarding a claim you filed against the review. The claim disputes my presence at your restaurant on that date. For your reference, I've attached the following documentation: A copy of my payment receipt for the meal. A social media post I made on the same date, potentially referencing the dining experience.
