Cassai-eine phantastische Erfahrung! Eine relativ kleine Speisekarte , höherpreisig mit einer sehr guten Qualität, ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis. Die Cocktails sehr schmackhaft. Das Ambente...mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Angestellten supernett. Macht weiter so!!!!

Leicht enttäuschender Besuch – Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider gar nicht ​Wir waren hier, um ein paar Tapas zu essen, wurden aber leider enttäuscht. Die Garnelen waren nicht nur extrem teuer für eine Portion von gerade einmal vier Stück, sondern kamen auch nur lauwarm am Tisch an. Geschmacklich fehlte ihnen absolut der Pepp. Auch Brot und Aioli sind für den aufgerufenen Preis viel zu teuer. Das Hähnchen in Honigsoße war sehr lecker und auch die weiteren Gerichte waren zu empfehlen. ​Besonders schade: Auf unseren freundlichen Hinweis, dass die Garnelen kalt und eher fade waren, gab es keinerlei Feedback oder eine Entschuldigung aus der Küche. Kundenorientierung sieht anders aus. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und ansonsten empfehlenswert.

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Service war super. Wir hatten verschiedene Tapas, Dessert und 3 Getränke. Es war alles schmackhaft. Dass dieser Abend nicht günstig wird, war absehbar. Am Ende haben wir 128 € für 2 Personen bezahlt (Trinkgeld gibt man selbstverständlich auch noch). Dieser Betrag ist uns ein zweiter Besuch leider nicht wert.

Nettes Lokal mit einem sehr angenehmen und sehenswertem Ambiente. Ideal für Gäste, die keinerlei Erfahrungen mit einer spanischen Tapas Bar haben und gerne bereit sind, dafür überzogene Preise zu akzeptieren. Typische spanische Pseudoküche, wie man sie von den deutschen Gastronomen der Balearen kennt.

Super schönes Lokal, man fühlt sich bei dem Ambiente direkt super wohl. Wir wurden warm empfangen, die Inhaberin und das Personal waren super freundlich und die Getränke waren echt lecker 😋

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren gestern im Cassai und rundum begeistert. Sowohl das Rind als auch das Iberico Filet waren auf den Punkt zubereitet und geschmacklich top. Auch die Vorspeisen und Getränke haben perfekt gepasst. Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der Service war aufmerksam und professionell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Für uns definitiv eine der besten Adressen in Meiningen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hey, das Essen dort ist Mega lecker und eine richtig andere Erfahrung mal! Ich hatte den Bio-Burger und habe bei meiner Familie auch probiert was sie so hatten und es war so so köstlich! Die Bedienung dort ist auch einfach super super nett,herzlich und aufmerksam.Man merkt wie viel Liebe sie in dieses Restaurant stecken und man fühlt sich sofort wohl.Viel Glück auf dem weiteren Weg ich werde auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbeischauen 🥰

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Leckerer Brunch. Für jedes Alter geeignet. Haben uns zu 6 super wohl gefühlt. Bestimmt auch als Geschenkgutschein zu empfehlen.

Ein wirklich fantastisches Restaurant. Es hat den Geschmack von mir und meinem Mann zu 100% getroffen. Der Service war erste Klasse. So würde ich in Deutschland bisher eher seltener bedient. Es ging alles sehr zügig man musste nicht lang warten. Die speißen waren super frisch. Es ist unser neues lieblings Restaurant wenn wir in Meiningen unterwegs sind.

Anyone looking for a touch of Mediterranean Mallorca flair will find it, right here in Meiningen. Delicious cuisine for both the palate and the eye. The drive from Erfurt was well worth it, and the price was right. Definitely going back.

Highly recommended! There were five of us at the restaurant early on a Saturday evening. Since it was difficult to choose among so many delicacies, we opted for the 5-course tapas menu. A great idea, as each course was a feast for the palate and beautifully presented. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very cozy. We had a wonderful time and would gladly come back.

First of all, the truly beautiful Mediterranean ambiance deserves mention – you feel like you're in Spain. What was less pleasant was that while you were still eating your starter, the main course was served, and I had to search hard for the €25.50 Paella Mare before I found half a prawn. What a shame.

A very good restaurant serving Spanish cuisine, especially for Meiningen. Highly recommended. We had a 5-course menu, which was generally well-prepared by the chef. Wish for our next visit: 1. Suggestion: provide more information about the individual courses. 2. Add a little more meat or filling side dishes.

A very tasty tapas restaurant in the upper price range. The back courtyard is very tastefully decorated.

Let's start with the positive. The food was delicious and the ambiance very nice – the decor was also perfectly appropriate and great. Unfortunately, that's about it… The portions are ridiculous for the price; I really don't recommend them unless you only want to eat white bread. €13.50 for two ravioli isn't appropriate (yes, there really were only two). Service comes once every hour, if at all, and ordered items simply don't arrive. The waitresses are very inattentive, and the tables are also not cleared for ages. We're sorry, but we don't recommend this restaurant – unless you want to spend a lot of money for little food on your plate.

If you want good food, please don't go there. The burger doesn't taste like anything (yes, hard to believe), and the rissoto was also disappointing. No vayas!

What a hidden gem in the heart of Meiningen. Lovingly decorated, delicious, fresh tapas, and friendly service...everything you need to feel good.

The price-performance ratio was not good. When we asked if we could have tap water for free, our waitress replied: "We even filter the water." The cost: €6.50. Legally, this is considered extreme extortion. When we were handed a few slices of white bread beforehand, with the words "this was in advance," we initially assumed it was a welcome from the kitchen. As a precaution, we asked if the bread from the Classic Tapas platter was missing, to which we were replied: "Of course, I'll bring you some more bread." Of course, we were charged for it. We didn't get any liqueur like the table next to us. Too bad, we won't be back! The food was very good, the ham was slightly oversalted. Smart, when tap water costs so much... What a rascal....

Tasty, pretty, but hopelessly too expensive. 100% more expensive than in my home on the edge of the Ruhr area.... and extremely clear portions. There are probably many guests who only go once. Just like us. If, when ordering, you get the impression that it's not about having a nice evening, but rather about paying as much as possible, then I can afford it, but the operator can't. Accordingly, there were many places available on Saturday evening. Sorry... that's how it is.

Yes, the food is really good, but you pay €10+ for some of the tiniest portions. I don't think that's justified. You can easily spend €40-50 per person here. We visited the restaurant in Meiningen on a Saturday evening as a couple without a reservation. The first impression was promising: the ambience is stylish and inviting, the service friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. The taste of the food was okay, but the portion sizes were simply disappointing - especially in relation to the price. We ordered three different tapas, including a mini burrata for €11.50, a 200g beef fillet for €35.00, which was served with Pimientos de Padrón for €6.50. The beef fillet was served without any side dish, which is absolutely incomprehensible at this price. In comparable restaurants you get a full meal with vegetables and a side dish for this amount. Particularly bold: Even the bread had to be ordered separately and of course paid for additionally. There wasn't a single portion that even came close to justifying the price. We're not talking about star cuisine or an exclusive fine dining experience here - it was simply a disappointing performance for an exorbitant bill. We ended up paying over €100 for two people for a more than manageable meal. Higher prices are understandable for an upscale restaurant, but then the quality, presentation and portion size also have to be right. Unfortunately, that was in no way the case here. Overall, the impression remains that the price-performance ratio is not justified.

Wir haben das Restaurant in Meiningen an einem Samstagabend zu zweit ohne Reservierung besucht. Der erste Eindruck war vielversprechend: Das Ambiente ist stilvoll und einladend, der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider endete die positive Erfahrung dort. Die Speisen waren geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber die Portionsgrößen schlichtweg enttäuschend – insbesondere im Verhältnis zum Preis. Wir bestellten drei verschiedene Tapas, darunter einen Mini-Burrata für 11,50 €, ein 200g Rinderfilet für 35,00 €, zu dem Pimientos de Padrón für 6,50 € gereicht wurden. Das Rinderfilet wurde völlig ohne Beilage serviert, was bei diesem Preis absolut unverständlich ist. In vergleichbaren Restaurants erhält man für diesen Betrag eine vollständige Mahlzeit mit Gemüse oder einer anderen Beilage. Besonders dreist: Selbst das Brot musste extra nachbestellt und natürlich zusätzlich bezahlt werden. Es war keine einzige Portion dabei, die auch nur ansatzweise diesen Preis rechtfertigen würde. Hier reden wir nicht von Sterneküche oder einem exklusiven Fine-Dining-Erlebnis – es war einfach eine enttäuschende Leistung für eine überzogene Rechnung. Am Ende zahlten wir über 100 € für zwei Personen für eine mehr als überschaubare Mahlzeit. Für ein gehobenes Restaurant sind höhere Preise nachvollziehbar, aber dann müssen auch Qualität und Portionsgröße stimmen. Das war hier leider in keiner Weise der Fall. Insgesamt bleibt der Eindruck, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gerechtfertigt ist.

Hallo Wir durften die Weihnachtskarte 🎄noch austesten und waren begeistert! Für meine Begleitung gab es Risotto mit Passe Pierre und kandierte Orange 🍊 Ich hab mir die Perlhuhnbrust gegönnt, gefüllt mit Datteln, Serrano, serviert auf Würzorangensauce & Papas Arrugadas. Alles ein Traum!!! Tapas und Nachtisch sind selbstverständlich auch bei uns gelandet 😅 Der Kindern schmeckt es auch immer Tippitoppi 🤩 Ho Ho Ho! Und noch frohe Weihnachtsfeiertage. 🧡

Das Essen war wieder …. perfekt 👌🏻! Für mich gab’s ein 6- Gänge Menü der allerfeinsten Art. 😋 Und für die Kinder war auch was Leckeres dabei. Hier ein kurzer Ausschnitt aus unserem Abend: Artischocken, Garnelen, Spanische Oliven, Jamon Serrano, Canonita Sprizz, Baguette mit Aioli Kreationen, Pikantes Hähnchen, Croquetas de Jamon Serrano, Pa Amb Oli, Kuchen, Eis, Espresso und viel mehr. Wir hatten uns mal wieder ein Stück vom besten Part der Kuh gegönnt. Das Filetsteak könnt ihr ohne bedenken bestellen, hier werdet ihr mit bester Qualität versorgt! Sehr gutes Personal die jede Frage von den Lippen ablesen kann. Dazu wird jeder Wunsch versucht umzusetzen. Die Zeit von der Bestellung bis zum servieren der Speisen find ich persönlich Perfekt 👌🏻 Wunderbar das die Karte zwischen den Jahreszeiten variiert. Auch neue Cocktails werden ab und zu kreiert und nach deren Geschmack nachgefragt. Das finde ich die richtige Kommunikation mit dem Gast 🧡 Kommt vorbei und lasst euch überzeugen, vielleicht sitz ich ja auch gerade da 😉

The bread was refilled without mentioning that it cost extra. 3.50 euros for 6 pieces of small baguette. This is too much. The food tasted good. Very small portions for a very high price. The food was not brought to the table for everyone at the same time. So we couldn't eat together. That should be to be expected given the price range. The tables are very small, there isn't much space. The ambience is very nice. The homemade lemonade was delicious.

See a beautiful restaurant and the food and the lemonade are a dream.. you can tell that there is a lot of love and passion behind it.. and that the owners love the country of Spain.. We would love to come back.. the quality of the food and prices are affordable.. Herbstzeit 🍂 ist Genießer Zeit….so wie eigentlich jede Jahreszeit 😻😹 Heute am letzten Tag im September mit Baguette & Aioli, Hackfleischbällchen in Tomatensugo, Kroketten mit Serano & Chorizo, dem feinsten „Carne“ Burger der Stadt und einen Mallorquinischen Mandelkuchen mit Vanilleeis. Flüssiges darf auch nicht fehlen: Cappuccino, Sherry Gin, Fiori Sprizz, Lio Sprizz, Espresso, Wasser 😉 und 🍺 Bestes Essen der Stadt!

Very nice, small, cozy restaurant. Prices for Meiningen are very high, portions are small. I was very satisfied and have been here a few times. It's best to order different things and try them everywhere. ;) Be sure to reserve!!!

Here again at the start of the theater season. The menu has changed a bit with burgers and dry-aged meat available to pre-order. Since the general price level for fresh products has increased, this is understandably the same here. Starters very fresh and beautifully prepared. Duroc fillet very good, great sauce. Service attentive.

The Cassai is certainly in the upper price segment. That's a shame, because in a big city with more competition you certainly wouldn't be able to maintain these prices. But in the end, my wish is that the cassai lasts as long as possible. It is an absolute enrichment in Meiningen. The food is super delicious and you immediately feel like you are in another place. Finally something away from the boring schnitzel, hats or kebab nonsense.

Prices outrageous The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service was friendly, and the food was tasty. However, the prices are not appropriate for the sandwiches and pickled vegetables. The only baguette (6 small slices) served with tapas marinated in oil costs extra, the water costs €4.50. We were full and it was good, but almost a hundred euros is not nearly adequate for the food on offer.

Viele kleine Veränderungen machen das Besondere. Jetzt könnt Ihr es euch im Cassai ganz ungestört im Außenbereich schmecken lassen. Das ging auch schon davor, nun ist aber die Terrasse überdacht und es kann euch kein Regen beim gemütlichen Beisammensein stören! 🧡 Beste Kreative Ideen werden euch hier auf dem Teller serviert. Entspannte und ungezwungene Atmosphäre laden zum verweilen ein. Aber nun zum Essen. Auf die Frage was wir trinken möchten entgegnete ich „Überrasch uns“, wir wurden nicht enttäuscht ein feiner Cocktail 🍸 der mich sofort an Mallorca erinnert, nicht zu süß, nicht zu herb, einfach Perfekt 👌🏻. Die Tapas-Platte wird schon zum Standard bei mir 😉 Zusätzlich ein Burrata-Salat, der war so was von frisch und bekömmlich, danach konnte ich mich einfach nur noch blind auf die Hauptspeise freuen: „Rinderfilet Butterzart“ hätt ich’s getauft! Genial sind hier die Saucen/Dip dazu, das kann kaum einer so bieten, hier trennt sich die Spreu vom Weizen und hier gibt’s das Prädikat besonders Wertvoll von Mir!!! Bis bald, euer Christoph 🧡

Mit Abstand das beste Restaurant in Meiningen! Ich bin schon öfters dort in den Genuss gekommen. Begeistert bin ich immer wieder über die Qualität, die Optik und den überaus netten Service dort. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlen, für alle die hochwertige und ausgefallener Küche mögen!

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. The interior design is absolutely stylish down to the last detail and yet totally comfortable. The food was a dream! Certainly a bit more expensive, but absolutely justified. We look forward to coming back.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. Prices are quite high, sometimes more expensive than in my home town of Hamburg. Service still needs improvement. But all in all a nice experience for the region. We will come again.

Wo kann man den Wochenstart besser verbringen als im Cassai! Eine super leckere Tapas Platte zum starten mit den besten Aiolis der Stadt „da könnt ich mich reinlegen“ Heute getestet den Canonita-Sprizz , passt vorzüglich 👌🏻 Im Anschluss am besten das Rinderfilet á la Cassai. Der erste Biss ist der Moment den man Nie vergisst! Immer noch mein Geheimtipp der Aperitif‘s der Fiori-Sprizz , probiert ihn aus! Das obligatorisch „Süße“ schaut’s euch auf den Bildern an . Einfach köstlich 😋

Short and sweet. I haven't had such a delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere with great service in a long time. Highly Recommended. Delicious dishes, a wonderful ambience. Even the drinks... Homemade lemonade etc... A culinary delight.

Jeder Aufenthalt im Cassai ist einfach herrlich, das Essen super, die Getränke lecker!

Everything was delicious and good service.

Zur Abwechslung waren heute viele leckere Tapas wie gegrillte Calamaretti, gratinierter Ziegenkäse, Albondigas Pinante (Hackfleischbällchen in Tomatensugo) , Garnellen und meine ersten Miesmuscheln in Weisweinsud am Start! Und noch vieles mehr…. Als Hauptgang konnte ich mir natürlich das Rinderfilet mit Grillgemüsepesto, Wildkräutersalat,Rosmarinjus und kanarischen Kartoffeln nicht verkneifen 😉 Fiori, Kuchen und Espresso nicht vergessen 😙 Klasse gegart, von der Menge nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig 😄 👍🏻 Weiter so und wieder mal ein Lob an das gesamte Cassai Team 🧡 🧡 🧡 Man merkt das hier viel Wert beim servieren der Speisen und Getränke gelegt wird! 🤌🏻

Wir sind jedesmal begeistert und waren schon mehrmals dort und können es nur empfehlen für jeden der auf spanische Küche steht und ein gutes Ambiente schätzt !Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder ✌

We were there without a reservation. The ambience is captivating and charming. The quality and taste of the food was good. The paella (pollo) for €49 tasted good, but in my opinion it wasn't freshly prepared (it was served in an earthenware bowl with fresh herbs.) That wasn't authentic, but understandable given the way it was prepared. They charged €2 for 4 slices of baguette. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't say much about the wines and we relied on their recommendations. For a 0.2 liter cuvee, €13.50 was charged without prior notice. The (sparkling) table water cost €6.50. We had a lovely evening, but the price-performance ratio is not appropriate - a shame!

Der heutige Besuch im Cassai bleibt lange im Kopf! Und das ist, was zählt ! . Und jaaaa, ich war ja gestern erst hier….aber….egal… . Ein Hochgenuss der aller besten Art 😋 und Momente die man nie vergisst. Ihr müsst einmal im Leben das Filetsteak im Cassai probieren ! Eine Auswahl an spanischen Käse mit Feigensenf gereicht mit frischem Baguette und hausgemachten Aiolis (ich könnte baden darin 🤭) Als Hauptgang das beste Stück vom Rind … ein Filetsteak 🥩 der feinsten Art. So zart das es auf der Zunge nur so zergeht, chapeau 🎩 dem Zubereiter !!! Klassischerweise mit kanarische Kartoffeln und Romanasalat. Da kann man nichts falsch machen….nicht im Cassai. Ein Fiori-Spritz 🍸dazu darf nicht fehlen, oder zwei, drei….. Ein Zitronenbisquit und Himbeersorbet als gelungener Abschluss denn…. Was wäre der Abend ohne Dessert?! Ach ja, Sherry Gin von Nicolei & Sohn aus Erfurt als kurzes Verdauungswässerchen kann man immer gebrauchen. Wir wollen ja nicht verdursten 😉 Viele Grüße von mir, bis zum nächsten mal! 👍🏻
