An Italian restaurant as it should be. Delicious food, great ambiance, a bit crowded. The place where family and friends gather to celebrate. A patron who welcomes every customer and, together with his team, creates delicious dishes.

The chef is the best, a genuinely kind person. The food was exceptional. We drove two hours specifically for this restaurant.

Very good Italian with the best truffle pasta in town!

As we were waiting for our table to get ready, i passed by a customer twice, he was so impolite asking me to leave outside, my answer was thank you for being polite. The shocking part was the manager (or owner) saying he will not be able to serve us and we have to leave. After telling the story, he said he can’t tell what the impolite customer said earlier. Such a racist restaurant, avoid at any cost !!!

Let's start with the basics. You must add food menu in English if you want to seat non Germans. Noone translated the menu for us so we had very difficult time understanding the dishes resulting to wrong orders. The place is not very big and the tables are extremely close to each other so you can hear everyone speaking. It is also loud and not recommended for business purposes. The food was tasty and the waitress polite and tried to help us with the wrong orders.

Casa Luigi is simply fantastic! The cozy atmosphere immediately makes you feel like you're on vacation in Italy. The food is fantastic – fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, and truly authentic. Pasta, fish, meat, or antipasti, there's something for everyone! Add to that the incredibly warm service, where you can tell that the guests are truly the focus. For me, one of the best Italian restaurants in Düsseldorf – everything is just perfect here. I'd happily return!

We called ahead and asked if there was space for two people in an hour. They said yes. They also said yes when we asked if dogs were allowed. When we arrived, everyone stared at us. (Medium-sized dog, not a registered dog!) When we asked if we could get a table, we were asked if we had a reservation. I explained that I had been told to come over on the phone, etc. I was asked if I had registered the dog. I also said yes. Then someone called and turned us away, saying they only had one table for 30 minutes. Very unreliable. - Vague statements. Not a warm welcome. Staring at guests? That's absolutely unacceptable. The restaurant looked okay, nothing special. The noise level was not recommended. Everything was very close together. Not recommended for a quiet meal. We can't rate the food because it didn't happen. However, even after this experience, we would not go there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Friday evening, July 25, 2025, terrace: Food: Satisfactory, portions modest. Unfortunately, only bread is served with the meal, without herb butter or dip. Ambience: Very good Service: Fast, but lacking any customer service. Unfortunately, one gets the feeling that one isn't truly welcome in this restaurant. The motto here seems to be: Please eat quickly and make room for the next customer. They don't even ask if you have any other requests, or if the food is tasty or tasty. That's the bare minimum a restaurant like this should offer, especially when they charge such high prices for food and drinks. Conclusion: Courtesy towards the customer seems to have been lost in the rush to make money. That's a real shame!

I had the most sweetest experience in this restaurant. I was there just a few minutes before the kitchen closed but they still took my order. It was my bday and I recently moved to the city so I didn’t know anyone, So I was all by myself. They go to know that it’s my Bday and when it was time to pay. They said its on the house. Italians are the sweetest people I have met so far in Germany.

It was a bit too hot inside for our liking. But everything else - excellent!

We were there on a Saturday lunchtime, and the store was sparsely visited. When we asked for a seat, the waiter told us it was too crowded and everyone would arrive soon. After I looked around and pointed out to the waiter that the store was empty inside and out, he replied, "I'm the boss here, and I said no." Very sad, unfortunately, I absolutely wouldn't recommend it!!!!!

Unbelievably lousy place. We called specifically to make a reservation. We were told everything was fine, no reservation was necessary, we could just walk in. After a 40-minute drive, we weren't allowed into the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. A lousy place.

The selection and quality of the dishes are outstanding. The individual components of the dishes are truly showcased. Fish and meat are always cooked very well, making them beautifully tender. The atmosphere inside is rather rustic, but outside in the courtyard is very cozy. Service can be inattentive at times on weekends.

A charming upscale Italian restaurant with a beautiful courtyard and attentive service. I was there alone on a sunny, warm Monday in June. It was very busy. The waiter went out of his way to find me a nice table. Very good white wine (the second cheapest :) and a fantastic fish pasta plate, where the pasta was even "upgraded" to homemade (without me suggesting it). If I'm back in Düsseldorf, I'd love to go back!

We were visiting Düsseldorf and stumbled upon this restaurant spontaneously. It was wonderful: authentic Italian cuisine, excellent quality, a beautiful ambiance with a lovely courtyard. We were thrilled. The staff, and especially the chef, were very attentive! We look forward to our next visit.

As far as I know, Italians are famous for their hospitality, but we faced with an unfriendly behaviour! I had read some reviews about this restaurant and I was aware that there would be some problems with the service, a waiter made a mistake about our order and when we said him he reacted badly. The food was really good, unfortunately we couldn't have Pizza since it wasn't served for two weeks (we were there in July). The weather was nice and we sat in the garden, the restaurant was full and you could see many business meetings and family gatherings there.

While Googling for a restaurant nearby, we found this restaurant. I was very intrigued by the dishes in the photos and we really enjoyed the food, the first one was delicious, the tagliolini with truffle and also the beef carpaccio, all really good, I recommend it. Italians are never wrong about food.

A special place where you should definitely reserve. The food was excellent and good quality. Friendly staff, very attentive. A tip for me where I want to book again when I'm in Düsseldorf.

Italian flair and very tasty food! Despite the restaurant being full, we got a table after a very short wait. The service was very attentive and polite! The food was incredibly tasty, it was difficult for us to decide on a dish because the selection was very good. The restaurant was comfortably furnished, we had the feeling of being in Italy. We are already looking forward to the next visit 🍝

We come often and the food is always good, sometimes a bit underseasoned, but we can help with that. Unfortunately, the service is always rather mixed and recently it was so bad that we were really annoyed. We were put under so much pressure to order quickly, plates were cleared just as we had the last bite in our mouths, cards were slapped down: “Do you still want Desert?” The table was taken again from half past eight and you could tell at every corner - at 8:15 p.m. it was said that the other guests were already waiting. We find the €6(!) surcharge that is charged if you want some pasta as a side dish instead of potatoes quite outrageous. I can understand this with a higher quality side dish, but with two or three forks of pasta that you can't find on your plate.

We were at Casa Luigi yesterday and were incredibly disappointed. We cannot understand the good reviews in any way. The service is a disaster, full of incomprehension, half of the orders are forgotten and when you order a tea you are actually laughed at. The staff then makes fun of it, so that the guest is more likely to be denounced with malice for having tea instead of wine. In addition, the food was more middle class. It was okay, but rather run-of-the-mill and unimaginative, but the price was rather higher and therefore not justified. If you can, please go somewhere else.

Very, very nice service. I just loved eating in a normal restaurant again where everything felt so familiar. My pasta was amazing and the tiramisu blew us away. She made the conditions herself, is she also Luisa? It was very tasty, personally too much for me, so the piece or too big, but this is not a criticism. Because it's better to have too much than too little. I went home full and that's the most important thing!

Now I can really understand the many positive reviews and can praise this restaurant with all my heart. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and attentive, and the ambience has a lovely, traditional feel. The two of us ate there and were amazed by the taste of the panzerotti and the accompanying tomato sauce, one of the best I've ever tasted! Despite the full house, we still managed to get a table without a reservation, which pleasantly surprised us. There is something special about the entire atmosphere that really impressed me. I'm looking forward to eating there again next week!

My wife cried because of the bad pasta, but my liver was very good. The prices are outrageous and the portions do not match the price. The place is very noisy and all the tables are too close to each other

This restaurant has now become our favourite Italian place in Düsseldorf. Yes, it is a bit pricey but the food is really great. The service is also super friendly.

Food overpriced for quality and service was unfriendly. €100 extra came on the bill for table of 6 (Zwischen Rechnung) for wine, starters and mains we didn't have, no apology at all and brought a new bill, business as normal!

We went there last Valentine's Day and it was a great experience. The quality of our dishes was excellent and definitely recommended. The ambience was very romantic and perfect for the occasion.

If your food arrives within 40 minutes of sitting down (that includes time to decide what you want!), you know you've picked a good restaurant. Even during the busy week of the boot fair, they were kind enough to find a table for us (just two people) even though we didn't have a reservation. We definitely recommend it!

The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Despite the restaurant being full, the food came very quickly and was extremely tasty. Unfortunately, the service was a bit inattentive, which unfortunately does not meet the standard of the restaurant. However, I think this was due to the fact that we were there on Saturday evening, the week of the BOOT trade fair. This means an exceptional situation for the catering industry.

The meat was fabulous. The service was good and the portions were good.

We stopped by for a light dinner so we ordered antipasti. The tuna tartar came with very little sauce and large pieces of tuna and no bread. We asked for another bread basket but this was not enough for the three of us so we asked for another and we were willing to pay for it of course. They told us they had no more bread, and the bread they had needed to be saved for the new guests. I have given feedback about the tartare dish to both waiters and I felt not listened to. They both replied that the tuna tartare always is done like this and that we already had two baskets of bread. The irony is that my friend has been last year there and the tartare was with more sauce, tomatoes and cut in much smaller pieces. This was not acknowledged by the waiters. Overall we were dissatisfied with the food and the service. The prices are also very high.

Messezeit in Düsseldorf, ohne Reservation nach einem Tisch für 2 gefragt und man hat sich sofort bemüht und trotz voller Hütte einen Tisch für halt "nur" knapp 2h bekommen. Bei Luigi gibt es keine Pizzen, aber man merkt mit jedem Bissen dass hier mit Liebe und Leidenschaft und frischen Zutaten richtig gut gekocht wird. Top. Das Gemüse richtig knackig und doch nicht "hart", das Fleisch perfekt auf dem Punkt gegart, die Kartoffeln genau richtig angebraten, genau richtig gewürzt, wirklich einfach nichts zu meckern, auf was für einem Niveau auch immer.. Vicor Ego, der bitterböse Kritiker aus Pixars "Ratatouille" hätte es genüsslich hinuntergeschluckt und wäre wiedergekommen. Wir tun das vielleicht auch noch, wir bleiben noch ein paar Tage an der Boot25. Ambiente und "italienità" sind so wie es sein soll, die Preise sind etwa so wie bei uns in Zürich, also für Deutschland richtig teuer. Für uns "normal", mehr kann ich dazu nicht sagen da mir der Vergleich fehlt. Wer frisches, leckeres Essen ebenso liebt wie wir, der sollte bei Luigi einen Tisch reservieren und sich von den netten Menschen vor und hinter der Küchentheke verwähnen lassen. Reservation sehr empfehlenswert!

The food was very tasty, but the table reserved for three people was extremely small and we sat very tightly. The noise level was very high because the restaurant was completely full, so it was hardly possible to have a conversation. I know that it can be loud in a full restaurant. However, that doesn't put the small table into perspective. The table would have been ok for a maximum of two people.

On October 23, 2024, my father & I had lunch at Casa Luigi in Düsseldorf - and it was simply great! We were lucky to get the last free table because the restaurant was completely full, which speaks for itself. The atmosphere was lively and warm, exactly what you would expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. Despite the full house, the service was super attentive and friendly. We immediately felt welcome. I ordered the truffle pasta, and that was a real highlight. It was tossed in a large cheese wheel directly at the table and then served - a really great experience! The smell of the fresh truffles and the creamy cheese taste were simply amazing. My father was also thrilled with his dish. For a full restaurant, everything ran smoothly - from the service to the quality of the food. You can tell that people cook with passion here. We'll definitely be back! 😊

Very poor food quality. The dish with the veal pieces was completely tasteless. In the seafood spaghetti, the oysters were stale. Small portions and very expensive. To be avoided. You can go to much better restaurants in Dusseldorf, such as uerige (in berger strasse) or at ble Greek restobar (on Bismarckstraße)

We ate at Casa Luigi from the company. I have to say, I haven't eaten this well in a very long time. Every component of every dish was simply on point and incredibly tasty. Descent food but guys what are you doing with a well known traditional Italian restaurant with that kind of rough manners and bad service??!! We were there to spend more money and to have a good time and you spoil our Xmas party with your bad vibes… turning off the lights and the music on an early stage of a Saturday evening! No way! Never ever!!! 2 service stars goes only to the first ladies who welcome us….

We were there on a Saturday and had our Christmas party there, which we were really looking forward to! The food was also delicious and the lady who served us at the beginning was really nice, hence the 1 star I gave it! Afterwards we were served by a slightly younger man who had no interest at all and didn't feel like it at all and made us feel it too! We reserved our table at 8:30 p.m. and got it at 8:50 p.m. At 10:30 p.m. we were basically “kicked out”, the music was turned off and people were rude when we asked for drinks! On a Saturday at 10:30 p.m. the music is turned off?!? If the store is open until midnight, excuse me?! The chefs were all already standing in front of us with their jackets on?! We were made to feel that we were unwanted, none of us had experienced anything like that before. We were really looking forward to our Christmas party with our small team, but unfortunately it was ruined by the waiter in the end. If you leave €500 you expect more. That was simply said: “Eat and go!”

The food is very good here. Even though the restaurant isn't that big, it's very noisy and in order to have a conversation in a larger group you have to shout at each other. The service was very friendly and accommodating, but we had 3 incorrect orders. Was a bit much.

The best Italian restaurant I've ever been to! The truffle pasta is worth the hype. The taste is simply outstanding! Serving it in a parmesan wheel is also a rare but even more beautiful experience. The restaurant is rightly fully booked. Very important to reserve before a visit!! The white wine was also perfectly selected by the waitress and the ambience was authentically Italian. Unfortunately you have to be content with the fact that the restaurant is quite full and therefore there is a certain amount of noise, but it's worth it!! Definitely come back!

We ate here with 6 people and everyone loved it. For dinner we ordered gnocci with shrimps, a guinea fowl with potatoes and vegetables and linguine in cheese sauce. We really enjoyed everything and with a glass of wine it was perfect. The food was great and the service too.

Highly recommended! We happened to walk past the restaurant in the evening and spontaneously got space for 4 without a reservation. The restaurant was well attended. The food and service was very good. Very familiar. If we're nearby, we'd be happy to come back!

Truly Italian restaurant. I come here once a year with clients and I've always made a good impression. The owner is always friendly, the chef is Italian, waiters are Italian. Nothing to say, and I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews.

Really delicious pasta! The price also reflects that, so be aware of that. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. However, for us, pasta was not made in cheese in front of us, but simply served with the sauce already on it. Recommended!

I was totally unhappy with their service and the price which in my opinion is not worth the quality, when I entered they told me I can stay only for one hour, the greeting was not so friendly from the beginning, and the truffle pasta was very average and lacked enough truffle in it, in other places I got much better truffle pasta with half this price! Then after the food I had to wait alot for my dessrt and even noticed one of the staff about it but it still took them long to bring it to my table, generally speaking, I fond this restaurant average and I'm not interested in visiting it anymore.
