Casa Di Maria in Berlin

Made a booking for 4 people on 20 Sep at 7pm. Received a reminder the day before. Turned up and the place was shut. Not ideal for a Saturday evening when there are 50,000 other runners all trying to carb-load.

We had a confirmed reservation today for a special occasion. We stood in front of the store, and it was closed. We were very disappointed. The company's holidays were supposed to be over, and there was no notice anywhere. It's a real shame, we were really looking forward to it.

I wanted to go on September 5, 2025, because I received a positive reservation confirmation. I also received a reminder. However, the restaurant is closed until September 15, 2025. I feel slightly ripped off.

There's no alcohol or pork here, which we didn't even want to order. You can't pay by card, which we only discovered when we tried to pay. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer offered on the menu for €15 consists of carelessly arranged tomatoes with mozzarella balls, similar to those you'd find at Edeka. Pepper and salt mills were constantly being removed from our table, put back, and retrieved again, and the olive oil tasted bland. The pasta was okay. You won't find amore here.

Fantastic Italian food!!! What a gem of an Italian restaurant. We had a delicious pizza. For us, it was one of the best we've ever had. And the hostess was super friendly. I highly recommend it! There's no pork or alcohol on the menu, but we didn't miss it at all!

A true highlight! Finally, an Italian restaurant that not only impresses with its delicious food, but also adheres to Halal standards – and doesn't serve alcohol. A huge plus for me and many others!

Never order from this restaurant on Uber Eats. I ordered a tuna pizza from them twice in a row, I wrote without onions, and it was simply ignored twice. It is better to order from a restaurant that listens to customer comments. Their pizzas don't taste good anyway.

We went to the 50% off offer on Pasta and Pizza. The pizza oven was out....ok, no problem, pasta is also fine. Maybe some beers or a wine whilst we wait? No alcohol served here....hmm...ok, but a reasonable offer for good pasta? The portion size was (almost) also 50% smaller! Everyone needed to order a second one just to get a full meal. The actual taste - fine, was decent. But the portion sizes are either way too small everyday (bad) or this was a fairly fake offer (also bad). Then when I asked for Parmesan on the pasta - "€2.50" extra.... The whole experience felt like flying with RyanAir. Transactional. No love. It gets you to your destination but dont expect any generosity in the meantime. A shame because the people were friendly and the actual taste of the pasta was decent. Portion size, Transactional feelings, no alcohol - hard to recommend this place sadly. Recommendation for the restaurant - if you are going to give offers, make them amazing so people actually come back. 1-2 days a year of taking a hit but in return you get a loyal customer who comes back 5-10x. Further, charging for Parmesan?? You will earn probably €100 doing this but lose €1,000s in lifetime customer value.

We knew the restaurant from previous visits, but were now rather disappointed. The service was ok, tried hard, but not classy. Dishes edible but not special. A good wine should be possible. But not here. Alcohol ban 😭 Nevertheless, the tattered menus are presented in a Warsteiner cover... well, in the past yes, but unfortunately no longer a recommendation today!

You can't pay with a debit card and are threatened with having the police called in if you don't pay in cash... never again

"Then I'll call the police," the waiter answered me when I asked to pay by card. While walking around the city, I unexpectedly came to this cafe. They did not warn me that the payment is ONLY in cash. When I wanted to pay by card, they threatened to call the police. And yet they accepted the payment by card. BUT FOR A FEW EUROS MORE than my account was.

I have rarely been so satisfied after being in a restaurant. The service was super nice, it was such a nice atmosphere and the food was A1. We will definitely come back and can only recommend this restaurant!

We've known the restaurant for a long time, but it's fallen flat: the pasta is delicious but the portions are very small. The cresoelle dessert is terrible. Alcohol is prohibited for religious reasons. The waiter is very friendly.

An italian restaurant without alcohol or pork. The menu still has these products but it aeemsywhatever we order they don’t serve anymore. They replace the pork in their foods with cheap beef alternatives and ruin the food while still claiming they are an italian restaurant. In my opinion a disaster

Curious and very strange for an Italian restaurant: From now on, Casa Di Maria will *no longer* serve alcoholic drinks and Parmesan with pasta will now be charged at EUR 2.50. So if you value a glass of Prosecco or wine, you won't get your money's worth here.

Decent meal, but no alcohol???, very expensive water, and cash payment only. I wouldn't go back there.

After a warm welcome, you will be served delicious food and great service in this restaurant. The pizzas are large and very tasty. Everything is freshly prepared. A visit to Casa Di Maria always puts you in a good mood combined with Italian flair. Gladly again!

The Waitress made us feel extremely welcomed, like we were eating in her house, even the other patrons were extremely welcoming to us Aussie Tourists. Food 10/10, cannot fault at all. Fresh bread, homemade oil, Al Dante pasta and to finish it off a delicious dolcê recommended by the Waitress. Would definitely recommend and would 100% come back !

I was just having dinner with my companion. The waitress is simply impossible and I'm extremely annoyed that I didn't say anything at that moment. Waitress is extremely pushy and unpleasant.

Das Essen war von minderer Qualität und nicht gut und schmackhaft zubereitet. Wir hatten u.a. den Eindruck, dass die Nudeln schon “vorgekocht” waren ! Die überschwänglich freundliche Servicedame konnte dies nicht “auffangen” . Leider keine Empfehlung.

It's okay but not great. The positive thing here is the extremely well-arranged and friendly service. Very helpful and hardworking. However: we have certainly eaten much better. The pizza is okay or average. Linguine fruti di Mare for €16.50 is unfortunately not good. Only the cheapest ingredients. We are used to better quality for this price category and expected more. The white wine and beer were also warm. A real shame.

We had a delicious fish soup, bruscetta and carpaccio. Everything was very tasty, nicely prepared and served with love by a very friendly waitress. If we come back to Berlin, we will definitely go there again.

Wonderful Italian!!! Very good food, and so important: Lucia and Toni are a hit. Without them both the shop wouldn't be half as good, and you realize how much gastronomy has to do with people. Lucia is pure sunshine, Toni is a wonderful host. The food is always excellent. It's a shame that after Corona you're no longer allowed to sit under the trees, thanks (not) to the public order office

Simply disgusting! I'm sorry but we left without eating when we saw our pasta. Parmesan was yellow and had leftover parsley on top. Sauce was sour just from the smell. Not a real Italian restaurant. Sorry!

Apparently the poor quality is taken out for Uber Eats. One of the worst pizzas I've ever had. Below snack level. Dry, underbaked, unseasoned and cheap ingredients. Inedible and a shame to deliver something like that.

Lekker gegeten. Gelegen in een woonwijk, dicht bij een metrostation. Netjes. Tafels gedekt met wit tafellinnen. Men serveert ook pizza, maar traditionele Italiaanse gerechten zijn zeer aan te raden. Vitello tonnato gekozen. Was zoals hij hoort te zijn. Als hoofdgerecht Saltimboccca. Grote stukken kalfsvlees, heerlijke saus hierbij. Zeker een aanrader als je in deze buurt verblijft.

Das Casa die Maria kann man rundherum empfehlen. Es gibt dort schlicht gute, italienische Küche unweit des schönen St. Ludwig-Platzes im gemütlichen Wilmersdorf. Die Kellner sind aufmerksam und freundlich. Man wartet nicht zu lange auf das Essen. Die Qualität ist konstant gut. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen. Vom Ku'damm aus in 10 Minuten zu erreichen.

Very good pasta and fish dishes. Update: The Parmesan soup from the Christmas menu is to die for. Wonderfully green outside in summer thanks to lots of plants.

No card payments in 2023 is a particularly unfunny joke. There is no clear corresponding information at the entrance. Food quality is only average and is no longer important if you have to walk more than 1 km to the ATM in winter, which would not be a fraud and would not require a withdrawal fee. A move into 21st century strongly recommended.

I often go to Casa Di Maria. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is very familiar and harmonious. I always enjoy going there and feel very comfortable with Toni. 😍

Went there as a group of 9 at 12 p.m., when the restaurant was just opening, and were immediately given a table by the super friendly waitress. Before eating we were given bread with delicious olive oil, and the food came quickly. The espresso and amaretto after the meal was on the house! The only negative would be that card payment was not possible.

Es ist fantastisch, es ist etwas belebt an der Straße aber dies stört nicht wirklich beim essen, das essen schmeckt wundervoll und der Service ist sehr freundlich, umsichtig und aufmerksam ohne das es zu aufdringlich wird. Ich habe das Restaurant meinen Freunden schon weiterempfohlen und jedem der italienisches essen Wertschätzt kann ich es auch nur wärmsten empfehlen.

Extrem freundliche Bedienung mit leckerem italienischen Essen. Hier spürt man noch die Liebe zum Essen und der italienischen Küche. Wir waren zum Mittagessen hier und kann nur Positives berichten. Wir kommen sehr bald wieder.

I ordered online 2 chicken pasta. One portion is 17.50€ but I got a discount on Uber Eats. The quantity was ridiculous, as you can see on this picture I transferred into a tiny bowl what is supposed to be one portion. It’s the quantity I give to my child, really not worth the price.. It’s like they divided a plate into two to make it like 2 plates. I put two stars because the taste was not that bad.

Food is average (can do better at home). They refused to accept card.

Hallo Ich hatte eine parma pizza bei ueber eats bestellt und die war leider komplett kalt : ( Obwohl ich nicht gerade weit weg wohne. Das fande ich sehr schade wobei die pizza normalerweise sau lecker ist.

Wir waren das 2. Mal hier. Sehr gutes Essen. Pizza, Pasta, Salate und Dessert top. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr authentische Pizza. Leckerer Teig, mit sehr guter Konsistenz. Meine Pizza war sehr klassisch gehalten, jedoch mit genügend Überzeugungskraft.

Goed eten en snelle service. Alleen wij werden de hele tijd 'prinsessen' genoemd door de medewerker. Dit was voor 1 keer wel leuk, maar daarna vond ik het erg irritant en voelde me niet meer serieus. En je kon alleen cash betalen.

Das essen, besonders die Pizza (diavolo) die ich hatte waren genial lecker. Unser Kellner Toni, war ein super netter Typ der überaus zuvorkommend war und uns mehr als nur gut bewirtet hat. Preis Leistung ist wirklich absolut mega für die Verhältnisse des umkreises. Und riesiger Pluspunkt, italiener mit Pizza 🥰
