After visiting the museum, the restaurant is a good place to go. The prices are good for today's standards. The food tastes good, is diverse and varied. The waitress immediately noticed our hungry daughter's displeasure and brought the french fries mixture straight away without asking. I like that kind of attention. And our child was immediately peaceful again.

We ended up here after our museum visit. We had the pork loin and the schnitzel, the latter being one of the best schnitzels we've had in a long time. The service was also very nice and accommodating. Thanks

After a great visit to the museum, head to the stylish restaurant. Nice but hectic staff. Food was "slapped" spaghetti bland dry. Was very disappointed.

We were at the museum on a weekday holiday season and wanted to enjoy an early dinner. It was relatively full around 4:40 p.m., but we got a table straight away. We waited with 2 small children, watched the waitresses as other tables were served and people who came after us. After about 15 minutes we got the card ourselves from the counter area. There is enough time to observe the chaos and how the employees would rather talk to each other in the corner than take care of guests. We sat very centrally and couldn't actually be overlooked. Especially because the neighboring table was also served... When no one came after a little more than 20 minutes, we left. It's a shame I have to give at least one star. If it were possible, I would even give negative stars...

Here you can get really good, delicious coffee and delicious cake before or after visiting the museum, but also without having to go to the museum. But you can also get other hot and cold dishes here. Service attentive and very friendly. Waiting time around 0. Prices are also within normal limits.

The three of us were there at 10 a.m. and were looking forward to breakfast (it wasn't possible). Coffee was delicious, as was the cake. At lunch there was probably a misunderstanding when taking the order...which can happen. I got my food almost 15 minutes later than the others then the gnocchi were overcooked, the veal rolls, well the meat was tough so it was a disappointment, the salad My husband was great. As an apology we got three double espressos on the house but I'm sorry my lunch was a big disappointment

I go there every now and then to eat as they offer a good selection of vegetarian dishes. This week we ordered vegetarian Maultaschen with vegetables for the cheap daily meal. The taste was very good, the portion was adequate, but the quantity of vegetables was a bit limited. 1/2 tbsp more vegetables, that would have been great! Service friendly and quick, a bit distant.

We went to the restaurant as a group for an “all you can eat” burger meal on Thursday, January 11th, 2024. Basically we were very satisfied! The burgers were really tasty, especially the burger buns were great. Although the restaurant was relatively full, we didn't have to wait too long for our orders, so kudos to the service. The service staff were very attentive, quick and friendly. You could still tell here and there that it was a new event because it was a bit chaotic at times, especially when the burgers came to the table and you couldn't immediately tell which burger was which, but we were able to get over that without any problem Ultimately everyone got the burger they ordered. We would be happy if there were more theme evenings and would love to be there again.

We had our fill of burgers in the Caravano. Full is relative. The waitress had 3 favorite tables where she was constantly chatting. Apparently anyone who wants to is allowed into the kitchen area (during our visit there were 5 guests from different tables in the kitchen area). The second service person, who tried very hard, was allowed to pour drinks and bring them to the guests. Clear the plates and serve the food. But don't take an order. We waited 30 minutes for the first burger after ordering. Considering that 16 people ordered before us, I think it's more than appropriate. The table behind us already had to wait over 1 hour for them to even order. About 10 more people came to eat after us (all small groups) and the service got worse and worse. Our 2nd round of burgers was then picked up and forgotten for a full hour. The burgers tasted okay. The service management then tried to apologize and explain that things weren't going well for the first time. If we also noticed, then I'll do a test run without public access. With 30 guests and 2 wait staff, the service shouldn't lag so behind. The ordering system is also too complicated, with “paperwork”. Likewise, we had to pay for our food first, then we were allowed to eat and at the end we had to pay for the drinks. I can understand that I will charge my table when I leave the restaurant and take advantage of looking at the museum, which by the way would be a great idea if the burger waiting times become more moderate. Maybe things will go more smoothly in 4 weeks - but without us. We will definitely take the time to look at the museum at some point, but without visiting the restaurant.

The food and the Maultaschen were very good, but the waiting time was unacceptable and should have complained. The service was very friendly. Price ok. Free parking spaces.

The food came after a long wait and wasn't even average. The prices are low, the portions are small, carelessly prepared and the taste is a disaster. Not recommended, service is friendly. For such a museum the restaurant should be better.

Tolles Restaurant mit schönen und interessanten Speisen und einer wechselden Karte. Die Gerichte sind von top Qualität und schmecken ausgezeichnet. Sollte man auf jedenfall mal besuchen. Mittlerweile komm ich seit 7 Jahren dort regelmäßig zum Essen und ich wurde nie enttäuscht. Bitte weiter so...

Ein schöner Tag für Groß und Klein. Tolles Museum, sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Angebote für die Kleinen, leckeres Essen im Restaurant. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es weiterempfehlen.

Ich möchte gar nicht viel schreiben. Wer mich kennt, der weiß wovon ich spreche. Natürlich habe ich den Burger probiert!! 😅 und ich muss sagen, dass war ein Feuerwerk an Geschmäckern … das Fleisch 101% auf den Punkt. Das Brötchen - ich Rätsel heute noch ob es selbst gebacken ist! WOW … ich schmeckte Walnuss … er war fruchtig und würzig … die Beilage … Gott sei Dank nicht schon wieder Pommes!!! Liebes Team vom Caravano … der Service war SUPER und das Essen war ein Feuerwerk!! Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hier kommen wir gerne wieder, denn die kreative Speisekarte hat uns überzeugt. Leckere Ideen, peppig angerichtet, schnell und freundlich gebracht. Aus dieser Küche lassen wir uns gerne verwöhnen und der Preis stimmt auch. Besonders positiv fällt uns auf, dass es hier nicht so fleischlastig zugeht und keine schweren Gerichte auf der Karte stehen. Hier fällt die Auswahl wirklich angenehm schwer!

Super Restaurant, Mega Lecker und eine feine Auswahl an Speisen.

Das Personal war nett, jedoch war das Essen nicht so prickelnd. Das Fleischküchle aufm Bürger war 0815. Die Soße naja. Die Pommes waren sehr lecker. Die Nudeln naja.

Brötchen vom Burger mit Wasser frisch gemacht, leider nur aufgewärmtes Essen. Ziegenkäse in bürger entpuppte sich als aufgestrichener Frischkäse. Da stimmt der Preis nicht! Personal mässig motiviert. Der Koch (falls vorhanden) sollte mal ins Mercedes oder Porsche Museum gehen und dort Essen, damit er schmeckt was möglich ist.

Wer das Aussergewöhnliche zu günstigen Preisen sucht, muss unbedingt hier hin. Toll gemacht, preiswert, nettes Ambiente und freundliches Personal . Das ist für mich immer ein tolles Erlebnis.

Womo essen war sehr gut,sehr empfehlenswert,Übernachtung mit Womo umsonst,leider waren nachts Jugendliche auf dem Parkplatz mit lauter Musik,war sehr unangenehm.

Haben heute das Silvester-Menue bekommen,einmal mit Fisch und einmal mit Schweinelende,Suppe,Vorspeise und Dessert und es war soooooo lecker.Das essen war auch noch schön warm und ist auf die Minute pünktlich geliefert worden.

The Restaurant is exactly located right in this Erwin Hymer Museum. We decided to have our lunch here after our visit there. Everything is very well fine from the Staff, foods, price, ambience and sanitation. They also offer a so called "menu for the day" with affordable price. Very well clean and attractive and suits to enjoy dining.

Im Anschluss an unseren Museumsbesuch sind wir ohne große Erwartungen in das Restaurant Caravano gegangen um etwas zum Mittag zu essen. Wir waren so überrascht, was es alles zu essen gab. Eine wirklich gute und vielfältige Auswahl, für jeden was dabei. Wir haben alle etwas unterschiedliches bestellt und waren alle sehr glücklich mit dem was wir bekommen haben. Als wir uns erkundigt haben über die Küche wurde uns sogar mitgeteilt, dass alles (auch Soße, Spätzle etc.) selbst zubereitet wird. In welchem Restaurant bekommt man denn sowas noch??? Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Große Empfehlung!!!

Wirklich richtig gutes Essen, und auch ziemlich außergewöhnlich. Passend zum Museum als Streifzug durch die Länder. Ich hatte kurzgebratenes mit curry-kokos-dip und es war sensationell gut! Hier gibt es keine Currywurst und kein Schnitzel, und das ist gut so! Würde ich hier wohnen dann käme ich auch nur zum Essen hierher! 👍🏻

Tolles Essen zu guten Preisen und nettes Personal. Wer das Hymer Museum besucht, sollte auf jeden Fall im Restaurant essen. Es gibt immer ein Tagesgericht. Das ist sehr schnell auf dem Tisch, schmeckte aber hervorragend, Tafelspitz. Personal sehr nett. Also unbedingte Empfehlung.

Hymermuséet i Bad Waldsee har en magnifik restaurang, Caravano. Innan vi äntrade museet intog vi en lunch i restaurangen. En portion oxrullad och en portion svampsoppa. Båda ytterst välsmakande. Vackert upplagt. Personalen var inte av det mest servicevänliga slaget. Lätt snorkig med näsan i vädret. Bordsvattnet serverades varmt, vid påpekande sade servitrisen att så skulle det vara. Konstigt tyckte vi. Vatten brukar serveras väl kylt.

During our visit of the Hymer museum our son got thirsty. We decided to take a break after visiting the top level and so went to Caravano. The decor is fun, clean and modern. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was surprisingly good. Our son claimed that the Spatzle was the best he had. He normally likes it with cheese and not sauce, but here the sauce wasn't too salty and he was impressed! Definitely recommend taking a little break while visiting the museum to stop here.

Das Restaurant war enttäuschend: unwirsches, arrogantes Servierpersonal, ewige Wartezeiten und sehr mittelmässiges Essen. Ausserdem waren mehrere Tische laut Auskunft reserviert, dafür wurden andere Gäste (Museumsbesucher) abgewiesen. Aber die ganze Stunde, die wir da waren, bleiben die "reservierten" Tische leer... Das sollte nicht passieren, denn es gibt weit und breit keine andere Verpflegungsmöglichkeit für die Museumsbesuchenden.

Ambiente super... Dauert bissel mit dem Essen, was kein Problem dargestellt hätte... wären die Burger warm gewesen!! Sonst echt nett...

Il personale potrebbe essere più gentile. Se esiste il "fastfood" e lo "slowfood" questo è il "NOFOOD".

Waren womöglich die Ersten, die das Restaurant ohne vorigen Museumsbesuch angefahren haben. Haben das Caravano bei unserem Tagestrip nach Ravensburg eher zufällig im Rahmen einer Google-Maps-Empfehlung entdeckt. Das eher kleinere Restaurant gehört zum Erwin Hymer Museum (habe den Namen entsprechend ergänzt), kann aber auch ohne Probleme ohne vorige Museumsbesichtigung besucht werden. Für Durchreisende insofern interessant, da durchgehend, d.h. auch nach 14:00 Uhr noch gegessen werden kann. Die verschiedene Speisen sind nach Länder und Regionen aufgeteilt z.B. “In die Berge“ oder “Nach Italien“ und bewegen sich im Schnitt zwischen 8,90 EUR und 10,80 EUR. In Anlehnung an das Museum ist es schön, dass das Thema Urlaub auch auf der Speisekarte aufgegriffen wird. Wir konnten noch einen freien Tisch ergattern, da die anderen alle reserviert waren (falls dies öfters der Fall sein sollte, müsste man noch einen Stern abziehen). Service war freundlich, mussten jedoch ca. 25 min auf unser Essen warten (lag aber eher daran, dass es etwas gedauert hat, bis das Essen bei uns aufgenommen wurde). Dir hat diese Rezession gefallen?
