Hotel-Landgasthof Kreuz in Bad Waldsee

Super Essen!! Super nette Bedienung! Tolles, höfliches Personal :) Immer wieder gern!

Trotz Reservierung und genügend freien Tischen wurden wir an einem Durchgang platziert, an dem ein Stuhl mitten im Weg des Personals stand. Auf Nachfrage bekamen wir einen anderen Tisch - allerdings nicht besonders freundlich zugewiesen. Wir hatten 2 Hauptgerichte und 2 Desserts nebst Getränken. Der Krustenbraten ( 2 kleine Stücke Kruste oben aufgelegt ) mit Knödel kam mit wenig Sauce- leider war das Fleisch ziemlich trocken und somit haben wir Sauce nachbestellt. Dafür wurde auf der Rechnung 2,20€ extra berechnet. Das ist unangemessen, zumal die Menge dies nicht gerechtfertigt hat. Sehr schade- hat den Gesamteindruck geschmälert. Der Service am Tisch war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend..

Was wir in dem Restaurant gestern, 01.06.26, erlebt haben, ist unglaublich! In den Vorjahren haben wir das Restaurant mehrfach besucht und waren immer sehr zufrieden, aber... Rostbraten auf Kässpätzle für 31,70 € + kleinen Beilagensalat für 6,90 € bestellt. Essen kam, sah zunächst auch gut aus, aber: alles total geschmacklos, kein bisschen gewürzt. Dann der Rostbraten: so eine kleine Portion hab ich noch nirgenwo bekommen, 2 kleine Ministücke, die mit Sicherheit keine 150 g wogen. Dann das alles auch noch sowas von zäh, man musste jeden Bissen mind. 2 Min. kauen, aber es half trotzdem nicht... Die Kässpätzle wie ein Brei, richtig vermanscht! Die Sosse auch kaum gewürzt und von der Menge max. 1 Esslöffel. Ich hab deshalb gefragt, ob ich noch etwas Sosse bekommen könne. Ja, die kam für 2,20 € extra! Beim Abräumen fragte mich der junge Bediener, ob alles in Ordnung war. Ich hab ihm dann gesagt, Fleisch Miniportion und ungenießbar zäh, keine Antwort! Auch danach keine Reaktion aus der Küche. nichts! Dann die Rechnung: 40,80 € für einen ungenießbaren "Mini-Rostbraten" mit schlechten Kässpätzle, Beilagensalat und nachgelieferter Sosse! Unglaublich! Nach dem Bezahlen sagt der junge Bediener noch zu mir "bis zum nächsten mal", geht dann zu seinem Kollegen an der Theke und macht sich auch noch lustig... Und sowas im Gasthof Kreuz! Wenn ich das nicht selbst so erlebt hätte, ich könnte es nicht glauben, aber es ist wahr und deshalb: Aufnimmerwiedersehen! Schade.

Das Kreuz ist ohne Abstriche zu empfehlen. Sehr gute Küche und aufmerksames Personal. Waren spontan zum Abendessen - super... und dann stand ein Hinweis für einen Kräuterabend. Der war gestern, so gut haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Ein absolutes Erlebnis... Zuerst ausführliche Führung. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben mit 7 Gästen reserviert und standen etwas verloren im schönen Biergarten, da sich die Chefin auch auf mehrfaches Anfragen nicht von ihrem Bildschirm trennen wollte. Weitere Telefonate wurden angenommen und nach langen Minuten und 'kurz vor wieder Abreisen' durften wir dann Platz nehmen. Das Essen war lecker und die Portionen fair. Zwischen den Servicekräften ist der 'stolze Sohnemann' leicht auszumachen. Aber der sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Service aller anderen Mitarbeitenden war sehr angenehm und schien diese unmögliche Art der Chefetage kompensieren zu wollen. Diese Arroganz war aber ein bitterer Beigeschmack, den wir uns künftig ersparen werden!

Ein wirklich toller Landgasthof mit einem super freundlichen und aufmerksamen Team. Die regionale Küche ist hervorragend – frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Eins der besten Lokale, in denen ich je war. Schwäbische Küche mit regionalen Produkten, nettes Personal das unglaublich auf Zack ist. Essen sehr gut, zum Teil fast zu schnell serviert.

Für Personen mit Lebensmittelunverträglickeit(en) nicht empfehlenswert! Das Restaurant wirbt mit Gluten - und Laktosefreien Gerichten. Ich habe das Restaurant zum zweiten Mal besucht. Die Bedienung beim letzten Besuch versicherte mir, dass die Schweinelendchen Glutenfrei seien, wenn ich die Bestellung mit Pommes aufgebe. Gesagt getan. Serviert wurden die Schweinelendchen jedoch in einer Pfanne auf Spätze aufgesetzt. Als ich dies reklamierte hatte, wurde schnell ein neues Gericht an den Tisch gebracht. Jedoch befanden sind im neuen Gericht Spätzle an den Schweinlendchen. Das entdeckte ich leider erst nach ein paar Gabeln die ich zu mir genommen hatte. Als ich dies wiederum reklamierte wurde mein Teller abgeräumt. Als „Entschädigung“ wurde mir ein Eis oder Kaffee angeboten. Das Gericht stand jedoch voll auf der Rechnung. Die Bedienung reagierte bei Nachfrage ob wir das Gericht nun voll bezahlen sollten irritiert und ging mit der Rechnung in die Küche. Da ich schon etwas davon gegessen hatte, war es für mich selbstverständlich das ich einen Teil davon bezahle. Als Antwort auf meine Frage warum wir das Essen voll bezahlen sollen antwortete sie: es ist Sonntag und in der Gastro passieren Fehler in der Küche. Das ist absolut richtig und auch nicht verwerflich. Sich jedoch im Recht zu sehen, ein Gericht voll abzurechnen bei dem der Gast auf Grund eines Fehlers der Küche hungrig vom Tisch gehen musste und eine geäußerte Lebensmittelallergie ignoriert wird, ist empörend! Es wurde mir ein Gläschen selbst gemachter Zucker hingestellt und der Bedienung war es offensichtlich unangenehm. Das Essen mussten wir voll bezahlen. Nie wieder werde ich dieses Restaurant besuchen und ich möchte jedem davon abraten, der Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten hat, dort Essen zu gehen. Außer man möchte hungrig vom Tisch und Wort wörtlich dafür bezahlen.

Zimmer sauber, groß und schön eingerichtet. Personal und Betreiberfamilie super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im benachbarten Restaurant ist top, lecken frisch und regional. Auswahl an Bieren aus der Flasche oder vom Fass passt und die Schnäpse sind auch gut. Immer wieder gern.

Mexikanische Wochen im Landgasthof👍🏻

Waren zum Essen da nachdem wir eine Woche vornweg für 2 Personen reserviert hatten. Angeboten wurden uns zwei Tische, einer im Durchgangsbereich und einer im Alten Eingangsbereich(1Woche vorreserviert!) für den wir uns auch entschieden was sich aber leider als Fehlentscheidung herausstellt hat. Sehr Eng, Zugig und nicht schön(Abstellgleis ) Zwei Personen sind wahrscheinlich nicht so lukrativ wie 15 Personen. Der Geschmack vom Essen war ok aber das Preisleistungsverhältniss vom Grillteller für 30 Euro!!!! Passt überhaupt nicht. Ein kleines flaches Rumpsteak Durchmesser 4cm und die Wurst und das Hünerfilet auch nicht viel größer. Mehr Kartoffeln und Krautsalat als Fleisch. Meine Frau war mit ihrer vegetarischen Bowle auch zufrieden deshalb 2 Sterne. 20 Euro für eine Salatbowle ist auch happig. Das Bier war gut. Der Gruß aus der Küche ( Nachos mit Dipp) stand schon auf dem Tisch(hat da schon einer genascht?) sehr unhygienisch. Werden erstmal nicht mehr hingehen.

I can't comment on the rooms. We ate there last Sunday. The staff were very friendly. The food was very good and plentiful, and beautifully presented. The price for the onion roast beef was on the high side, but it was delicious. We will definitely come back.

One of the best restaurants and inns around. Excellent and innovative cuisine, sustainable and regional, where the chef is still personally in the kitchen, constantly monitoring and improving the high standards. I/we will definitely be back again and again. Incidentally, the service is exemplary and never intrusive.

The Landgasthof Kreuz, located directly on the B51, is highly recommended. Plenty of parking and a spacious outdoor area invite you to linger. Very polite service...

Cozy warmth after a windy, chilly day... the delicious bouillon felt twice as good. The enjoyment continued with the main courses (cheese spaetzle & Maultaschen), which were incredibly enhanced by their sophisticated preparation and flavoring with various fresh herbs! Pure enjoyment from what are essentially quite simple dishes! But incredibly well cooked! And reasonably priced, too. We also commend the service, which was attentive and super friendly! An all-round successful visit! A seemingly dedicated team in both the kitchen and the service! Parking right in front of the house, and we got a nice table for three just before 8 on a Monday, clean restrooms, and a pleasant atmosphere in the dining room. Satisfied guests who will surely return.

We were there for lunch today. The onion roast beef was barely chewable and thinner than a schnitzel. Absolutely ridiculous for the price. The cheese spaetzle with sour cream was new to me and not particularly tasty. The fries had a strange aftertaste. Service was friendly but didn't pay attention to empty glasses, even though the place was barely full. We would have liked to have had another drink, but like this... never again...

A charming country inn with a lovely beer garden and excellent food. The rooms at the back (away from the road) offer a stunning view of the countryside. Everything was clean and immaculate.

Excellent food, friendly service – our favorite restaurant in Bad Waldsee! We have been regularly enjoying the food at the Hotel-Landgasthof Kreuz in Bad Waldsee for two years now – and we do so with great pleasure. The cuisine is consistently excellent: down-to-earth, fresh, and prepared with love. We particularly appreciate that even individual requests – such as a Wiener schnitzel made with chicken – are always fulfilled in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. A real highlight are the homemade lemonades, which not only taste great but are also served in particularly beautiful glasses – a thoughtful detail that rounds off the visit. The atmosphere is very pleasant, both in the comfortably furnished interior and in the inviting garden. You immediately feel welcome. It's particularly pleasing that the chef himself regularly makes an appearance to check on your satisfaction – a sign of true hospitality. The entire team is exceptionally friendly and attentive, which makes the stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience every time. For anyone looking for good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere, the Landgasthof Kreuz is an absolute recommendation!

We arrived as a small group and were not only warmly welcomed but also served very pleasantly and attentively. The food was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. Highly recommended!

Despite its location on the B30, it has a lovely, quiet beer garden. The food and service were also top-notch.

Great food, very kid-friendly. The sauce for the kids' spaetzle is even reduced in salt. The prices are reasonable, and the presentation is beautiful.

The two of us went there for lunch today. We eat here often, but today it was particularly delicious. They made me a special Cordon Bleu, which was delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo, only of the last bite. My wife had the Mattenhäuser Töpfle (pot of beef) with extra herb cheese spaetzle. Very tasty. Even though special requests like the Cordon Bleu weren't on the menu, they made it specially. Thank you for that. I highly recommend eating here. The service was very friendly and nice; we'll be back :)

We were at the restaurant for Mexican and Brazilian week. You definitely have to make a reservation, the restaurant was always full to capacity, but all the employees were friendly the whole time and fulfilled every wish with a smile. The Brazilian and Mexican dishes were incredibly tasty, had great flavors and were really something new. The desserts are highly recommended and it's a shame we couldn't try more. Many thanks to the team for the warm hospitality, we will definitely be back for the next culinary week.

Fast and friendly service. The beer and wine selection is mega. The food was very tasty and came quite quickly. If you have children, this is an important factor. Therefore great. The chef also personally brings the food to the table. All in all, it makes a very good impression. We'll come back when we're nearby.

I was traveling on business and stayed at the Landgasthof Kreuz - an absolute insider tip! The room was beautiful, modernly equipped and had a fantastic view. The peace and quiet here is incomparable, just the thing after a long day at work. The food in the inn was a dream - fresh, regional cuisine that simply inspires. For anyone who is passing through or is near Bad Waldsee, I can only warmly recommend the Landgasthof Kreuz. I will definitely come back!

I've eaten there several times and it was usually nothing special but definitely edible. Recently on a Sunday we ordered “crust roast”, which is apparently only available on Sundays. The meat was far dry and a small piece of crust was placed on top. The sauce tasted strange and was very reminiscent of Maggi or Knorr. Plus a bland bread dumpling like the one you can get in the refrigerated counter at the supermarket. I imagine something different when it comes to a crusty roast.

Food was good, but nothing special. My brother-in-law had the crusty roast, which actually consisted of half of the fat crust and the dish ended up being served with a dumpling without any vegetables on the side. My wife wasn't that happy with her food either, the spaetzle wasn't homemade and the pork was relatively dry, which was a shame. I had nothing wrong with my zander fillet, but I wanted fried potatoes, which were also listed on the Sunday menu, unfortunately it said Sunday, if these weren't available 🤔 Actually 3.5 stars for the food, but since I can't choose, I give it 4 stars instead of 3.

The country inn and the beer garden are very centrally located (directly on the main road) but at the same time it is beautifully quiet and rural. There is a herb garden behind the house and there are also herb-themed events here throughout the year. We've never stayed there overnight, so I can't say much about it.

A gourmet experience with personality❣️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel-Landgasthof Kreuz and it was undoubtedly an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I entered the charming inn I was greeted by the warm atmosphere and professional service from the staff. The dining experience was absolutely outstanding. The fantastic food served here is a real treat. Every bite was a revelation - freshly prepared, creatively presented and delicious in taste. What tops it all off are the first-class wines that perfectly accompany the menu and pamper the senses. A special highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the chef Horst Schmidt, whose passion for culinary delights was evident in every dish. His ability to harmoniously combine flavors and textures shows that he is a true master of his craft. Furthermore, his personal touch was palpable as he looked after his guests' well-being and ensured that every moment was special. Overall, my visit to the Hotel-Landgasthof Kreuz was a culinary experience that I can fully recommend. If you are looking for exquisite cuisine, outstanding service and an unforgettable atmosphere, then you should not miss visiting this gem. Both the hotel and the restaurant were a good visit. The single room was generous in terms of space. Unfortunately the shower wasn't a good solution. Restaurant had a nice selection of dishes. Tasted good. Very nice beer garden and nice service.

The Landgasthof Kreuz confirms itself as a pleasant structure with an excellent location. The rooms are clean and spacious and the people in the hotel are all kind and helpful. Our reference facility in Bad Waldsee. Until next time!

We were here for dinner. The onion roast consisted of two thin, stringy pieces of meat. So that it doesn't look too pathetic, it was piled on top of the cheese spaetzle. The worst onion roast in a long time and for €31 a disgrace.

Nice country inn in Bad Waldsee. I always enjoy staying here. The inn is absolutely recommended. The onion roast with homemade fried onions and cheese spaetzle is a poem. The service was very nice, attentive and competent.

The food is really honest and very good. Country food as well as a bit of gourmet cuisine. Something like this isn't found that often anymore. And the service is very attentive and friendly. It's a shame that the regular restaurant is usually closed on weekends.

The hotel was lovely and clean, the rooms were well presented. It was nice and quiet. The room was warm and comfortable. Only thing I would have liked would have been a comfortable seat to relax in. The staff here are very very nice. Upon arriving very late even with dinner finished we were offered a meal. The servers in the restaurant were also very friendly offering to translate and help with the menu and description of food. It wouldn't have been a choice for a family holiday but as this was work it was very very nice.
