Nice campsite, very clean, friendly staff and quiet location

Was there as a camping guest. Friendly little place with great sanitary facilities. I would like a little more view and a little easier access to the beach on Lake Constance. The fence doesn't have to be there?

Beautiful facility in a perfect location on Lake Constance with a 10-minute walk to the city center. I'm looking forward to the next trade fair.

The hotel is very good. The location is nice, but a little out of the way for those who can't really walk anymore. The breakfast was appealing. Some whole grain bread was missing! The WiFi was a disaster. In a week there was only WiFi once in the morning. Otherwise, no luck! The hotel is recommended!

You have to buy tokens to take a shower If you take a shower, the water runs out 😡 This has never happened to me before All women have long hair but have no chance of washing their hair because the water runs out in two minutes Are you standing there full of shampoo in your hair, your body full of shower cream and then 😡 It's time for them to finally renovate I don't recommend anyone

The CAP is a simple but extremely clean and pleasant hotel. I was there with a large inclusive group over the weekend. Good rooms, e.g. T. with nursing beds. Everything barrier-free. Good breakfast, snack packages were available to us for a small additional charge. Unbeatable location directly on Lake Constance!

Were on the pitch for five days. Service, location, plumbing, everything was great. Bread roll service 👍. 1 ⭐️ Deduction due to poor WiFi reception. I can't say whether it's because of the space or because of the entire infrastructure in the city. There is still a lot of room for improvement here.

We liked it. Apparently it's a popular holiday area and it makes sense to make a reservation!

A novel follows... I traveled with my daughter (14) to spend a weekend at the Swabian Sea (Lake Constance). In Fischbach we were immediately sent back because nothing was given for less than 5 days. Due to the very different recessions regarding CAP-Rottach, I originally wanted to continue towards Lindau. But I still stopped briefly to try my luck. The employee (in a wheelchair) wasn't particularly decisive about whether he could give us a place for one night. He was very friendly and asked me to come back at 1:30 p.m. after the lunch break. In the meantime, we parked the camper free of charge in the parking lot in the NATURSCHUTZ area. We took advantage of the hour and went to the lake behind the campsite. Yes, some are right, it seems unkempt. However, please let me tell you... I wrote nature conservation in a big way above. A nature reserve begins right there (Eriskircher Ried). That's why there are rules like quiet at night, no open fire, etc. etc... The sandy beach is completely natural and very clean for Lake Constance standards (there are always idiots). Lindau (Wäsen) and collected buckets of rubbish there every day. That wasn't the case here. The beach is still not good for swimming, as you can walk forever and it doesn't really get any deeper. In my opinion, that's why it's ideal for families with small children... (sand and very shallow) There is certainly a better alternative to swimming on the walk to the harbor, but we didn't test it, we just saw a lot of people there. But back to the campsite: The employee after the lunch break (friendliness wasn't really her strong point, so points were deducted) reminded me a bit of the treatment in an authority. But hey, look at the operating consortium... The shop is inclusive and that's exactly why it exists There are also sanitary facilities designed for people with disabilities. I read in reviews that the sanitary facilities were getting old. On the one hand yes and on the other hand no. I tend to say no because many people probably have an older bathroom at home (me for example). In my opinion, the sanitary facilities are meticulously cleaned at lunchtime and are closed for 1.5 hours. As I said, I personally didn't think it was getting old and the sanitary facilities were always as clean as the person in front left them. Prices: I didn't find it overpriced in any way. I paid 32.75 including 2 shower tokens for campers (without electricity) on a large pitch for 1 E and 1 K. Included was the Bodenseecard with which we can use public transport and hey, the transport network on Lake Constance is huge. The tourist tax wasn't due, but I didn't ask why. My guess: Since we live in the Allgäu ourselves. My conclusion: I will definitely come back P.S. Anyone who complains about mosquitoes on a body of water where there was recently a storm with heavy rain and floods has lost control of their life. I have a garden (no body of water anywhere) and I also get stabbed in my garden. Maybe it's because of the rainy spring and summer of 2024?

We spent one night on our motorcycle tour there with breakfast, everything was okay for the money. Any time. :)

We stayed at the campsite for a spontaneous overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and we were kindly given a parking space even though everything was actually fully booked. The sanitary facilities are getting old, the cleanliness was satisfactory but could be improved. The location is really great. Our pitch was 50 m from the water.

Were there as campers. Good connection to the city. The entrance to the water needs to be more attractive. Nice staff. Employee Patrick was very helpful and friendly. Thank you again I think it's great that people with disabilities work there - it's worth an extra star.

I was a guest in the room for one night. These are well maintained and were ideal for me as a dad with 2 children. Despite a short rain, we were able to use the terrace, which was really great. Breakfast was good, the selection was manageable but fresh. We were also able to use the campsite, which was clean and well maintained. If we are in the area again, we will come back. The lake was nice to see and it was also good to go for a walk. But in the water, very impossible at this point. Both cleanliness and from the shore are not possible, a shame.

Beautiful small hotel with a campsite right on Lake Constance and ideal as a starting point for excursions or bike tours. The sanitary facilities are very clean and modern. Shower tokens can be purchased for €1 at reception.

It seems to be a great place, after our car broke down the nice man from the ADAC recommended that I go there. There would always be room for a small tent, as it was already late we drove there. But unfortunately it wasn't like that, the lady at the administration was very unfriendly and very overwhelmed, I think. When I asked if it would be okay to stay in the parking lot, the boys came to sleep in the car and it's not possible. It's a shame, I hope she just had a bad day because the place looked great.

I can't fully understand the many negative reviews. We were on the way back from Italy and wanted to make a stopover at Lake Constance (high session), but received one rejection after the next. Except here, we were told that we could get a spot for the next morning. To bridge the gap, you can find accommodation in a large parking lot nearby. This worked wonderfully and the lady at the checkout was really friendly and helpful to us. The sanitary facilities are really great and clean. Yes, a drawback is the access to the lake, which is made of wood and has not yet been cleaned up after the flood. But I don't think the campsite has anything to do with access. But this access is also natural if you read the signs. It's no different at many other entrances. The swimming lake in Kressbronn is also highly recommended (8 minutes by car). Peace harbor 5 minutes away, great for boating. What I find negative is that we paid €110 for the next two. But we were just happy to have found something. You should also protect yourself with mosquito repellent. But it's not as dramatic as it was maybe a few weeks ago after the flood 😉

incredibly expensive for camping because you take everything with you to stay overnight (tent, food etc) - 40€ for 2 people, you have to pay extra for showers... Access to Lake Constance from the campsite is simply disgusting, there is dog excrement everywhere on the beach, felled trees make access difficult... Campings in Switzerland with access to Lake Constance (clean and nice compared to the access to the lake at Camping Rotach) are available for €20 for two people.

We had the experience of staying at this campsite for 2 nights, but after the first one we already ran away from there, the staff was not friendly, you couldn’t grill, they didn’t give you WiFi, you had to pay for the shower, it wasn’t the shore of a lake, it was just an abandoned swamp, it was noisy all night, you don’t get your money back. I do not recommend staying at this place!!!

Like a prison. The lake is muddy and you are guarded by the public order office.

I was a guest as a camper. For a city visit to Friedrichshafen, the place is not recommended for enjoyment by the lake - poor access to the lake. I was put off by the many prohibition signs, but you could put it in a more positive way.

I am an extreme cyclist who visits the HAM RADIO trade fair in Friedrichshafen every year for business (journalistic work). Until now, I had always set up my small tent at the FN-Fischbach campsite for years, but in 2023 the dedicated cyclist meadow there was closed (a normal, expensive parking space must be used. This is completely different on the CAP Rotach; The site is still 8 km further away from Fischbach, but there is a tent meadow and it is only four km by bike to the trade fair (11 km from Fischbach). I had to pay in advance, but since I basically wanted to stay for three nights, that didn't matter to me. As a journalist, I also didn't have to pay tourist tax; After presenting the press pass and the trade fair accreditation, this worked with an additional form. Sanitary facilities are fine, everything is clean. The Lake Constance beach right behind the hedge is not like other places, but it is natural and rather unimportant for me. Some campers' complaints about mosquitoes on Lake Constance: Logical in this current weather situation, and in general this is the case with all places with water nearby. You just have to take precautions! There was also mosquito repellent in the reception. Nobody can do magic now! I was very satisfied and will be going back next year...

Great camping to stay at when in Friedrichshafen! It's on a 15-minute walk from the city and provides good quality services. Beware of the mosquitos, which are all around the lake anyway.

A little expensive for the little infrastructure but pleasant by the lake

Hotel, food, cleanliness, friendliness, location, everything was great.

We actually wanted to stay at the campsite for two nights and had to pay directly when checking in. Shortly after arriving we noticed that there were mosquitoes everywhere. We couldn't stay outside without getting bitten, so we decided to leave after one night. When we asked, we didn't get the money back, even though we had a one-year-old child with us, who was completely stabbed after a short time. Really an absolute disgrace! Never again!

We came to the site in June after floods and the area they put us was still wet and within minutes of getting out of the van we were covered in mosquitoes - not really the fault of the site but after getting bitten, we moved the van up to the stellplatz where thankfully it was bug free. Great area to explore though.

Beautiful right on the lake. Rooms are great. And my personal praise goes straight to the kitchen. The breakfast is very extensive and particularly good. Plus the nice employee. Thank you.

Friendly is a little different! We were kindly allowed to ask for a place, but because of the sound of the music, we'd rather book somewhere else. Just think about where the money for your campsite comes from.

We had a huge family room with a fantastic view of the lake. Everything was there, including a small refrigerator. Everything is handicapped accessible. The breakfast could be better and more loving. A little more fruit would have been great and it would be nice if the buffet was filled again at 9 a.m. and there was still bread even if you don't like rolls. Otherwise great location and you can walk into the city center really quickly.

Unfortunately there are no zero stars. Definitely keep going! You pay in advance here, and if you want to leave earlier there is no money back. This is unfair business practice. The rules are like in an allotment garden club. Absolutely not recommended!!! If you want to visit Friedrichshafen, it is better to use the mobile home parking space in front of the door.

We always like to go to Camping Cap Rotach with our motorhome when we come to Friedrichshafen. Direct lake view and access. Go to the port like in 20 minutes. Bus stops in front of the square, public transport is free with a spa card. Bread roll service and the opportunity to have breakfast in the adjacent hotel. The sanitary facilities are sufficient and very well equipped. Disadvantage: warm shower costs €1 per 4 minutes. Pitches of different sizes, also suitable for large motorhomes. Shortcoming: no fresh water or waste water on site. Lots of shade thanks to large trees but hardly any satellite reception. Free WiFi.

Unfortunately very German. As of 9 p.m., all doors were locked except the main entrance to Main Street. Unfortunately, the doors didn't open again until around 10 a.m., which is why the morning walk with the dog was a hike. Smoking weed is prohibited on the entire site. The motion detectors on the toilet are far too short, so you end up sitting in the dark at times. But the toilets were very clean. The places are laid out in a very boring way, so you feel a bit like you're in a can. There is room for improvement here.

We arrived at night and spent the night in the parking space in front of it. When our little son wanted to go to the toilet, we were spoken to in an unfriendly manner. Our plan was actually to spend the night at this campsite - the little one wasn't allowed to go to the toilet. We looked for another campsite for the next few nights

We used the campsite and had a good time, excellent services, good friendliness

Bad experience at Cap Rotach I recently had the dubious pleasure of staying at Cap Rotach and unfortunately my experience was thoroughly disappointing. As soon as I checked in, I encountered unfriendly and unhelpful staff who seemed to have little interest in making my stay pleasant. The rooms I stayed in also left a lot to be desired. They were in poor condition, with worn furniture and inadequate cleanliness. The smell in my room was particularly unpleasant and made my stay even more unbearable. The general atmosphere in the hotel was also not very inviting. The common areas seemed neglected and impersonal, which further detracted from the stay. Overall, unfortunately I cannot recommend the Cap Rotach and hope that the management takes urgent measures to improve the quality of the hotel.

Wir waren auf dem Campingplatz. Empfang freundlich und unkompliziert. Haben einen grossen Stellplatz bekommen. Mit wenigen Schritten ist man am See und mit dem Rad in 10 Minuten an der Seepromenade. Leider muss man fürs Duschen bezahlen, 1€/5Min. Sanitäranlagen sehr sauber. Wir würden wieder mal hinfahren.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Lage. Idealer Standort für WOMO'S die die Region mit dem Fahrrad erkunden möchten. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! 👍👍👍

Mein Partner (Rollstuhlfahrer) und ich waren mit unserem Wohnmobil auf dem Campingplatz. Sehr schöner Platz und sehr nettes Personal! Auch die Plätze zum Geschirr spülen (draußen und drinnen) und die Sanitär Räume top👌ich gebe nur aus einem einzigen Grund nur vier Sterne und das sind die Zettel an der Toilettentüren die darauf hinweisen, dass die Duschen für eingeschränkte Personen doch auch von Personen ohne Behinderung mitgenutzt werden sollen! Leider haben Rolli Fahrer nur die Möglichkeit die großen Sanitärräume zu nutzen.. Als wir das Personal darauf hingewiesen haben, dass diese oft von Fußgängern belegt waren kam nur ein "es tut uns leid" zurück... Sehr schade!!!

Der Campingplatz war sehr schön und direkt am Wasser. Die sanitären Anlagen waren sauber und sehr gepflegt. Nettes Personal.

Camping correct, bien situé, à proximité du lac. Les sanitaires sont propres. Pas beaucoup d'emplacements pour les tentes. Possibilité de recharger gratuitement son téléphone à l'accueil. Pratique quand on voyage à vélo.

Grosszügige Standplätze, sehr gepflegte, saubere, Sanitär-einrichtung. Leider hört man nachts die Strasse, und zum duschen muss extra bezahlt werden.

Hate to say this, but it's not up there in my favorites tray. Can't fault the staff or the toilet / shower & washing facilities, they were spotless. There's no actual veiw of the lake from the Campsite, unless you get some steps & peer over the large hedge, our pitch had a strong smell of urine around one side of the hedge. The restaurant was open & there was no bar. There was a nice terrace to site out on. We had to hide inside our van with all fly screens closed... Bloody mosquitoes, (not a lot the staff can do about that I know)

Wij stonden op de camping,heel fijne week gehad daar. Heel vriendelijke mensen aan het onthaal,en het sanitaire gebouw is zeer proper. Kortom,een aanrader.

Der Campingplatz hat nichts mit den Fotos zu tun. Ungepflegt, besonders schlimm sind die verdreckten, verrotteten Wagen der Dauercamper, ekelhaft. Empfang war nett. Frühstück mit 13 Euro für das Angebot (sehr übersichtlich und es wird nicht alles nachgefüllt, auch wenn es noch 1 1/2 Std Frühstück geben sollte) teuer. Leider tragen die Servicemitarbeiter Alltagskleidung, Birkenstocks, Haare offen, ich fand das dem Anlass nicht entsprechend. Sanitär sehr sauber. Allgemein aber überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Kein Zugang zum See. Weg am See ebenfalls ungepflegt.

Der Biergarten liegt direkt am See. Es ist Selbstbedienung angesagt, die Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl ist überschaubar aber insgesamt ok. Für die Top-Lage sind die Preise absolut moderat.

Ein schöner kleiner Platz mit einen guten Konzept. Hier werden Menschen mit einen handycap gefördert und der Gewinn geht in einer Stiftung..... viel Platz ohne Eingrenzung der Pazellen ( durch Büsche oder ähnlichem) zentral nah an Friedrichshafen gelegen nah an einen Naturschutzgebiet. Wer schicki Micki sucht ist hier falsch aber wer Wert auf Sauberkeit und soziales sucht ist hier richtig. Nettes Personal!!! Wir waren für eine Woche auf den Campingplatz, über die Zimmer kann ich leider nichts sagen macht aber alles einen sehr sauberen Eindruck..

A 2 passi dal centro di Friedrichshafen e un camping interessante anche solo per il fatto di avere una politica del personale inclusiva

Dieser Campingplatz war schon unsere letzte Hoffnung, ein Anruf machte uns optimistisch und wir fuhren von Lindau nach Friedrichshafen. Die freundliche Dame an der Rezeption hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Wir bekamen einen schönen Platz auf der grünen Wiese. Vorerst buchten wir für 2 Nächte, welches ohne Probleme um 2 weitere verlängert wurde. Die Lage ist herrlich, die Stadt mit Hafen und genügend Einkaufs- und Speisemöglichkeiten ist fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreicht. Badegelegenheit im Bodensee bekommt man im nahe gelegenen Park. Brötchenservice und die sauberen sanitären Einrichtungen runden den Stellplatz auf. Die Gaststätte war leider Corona-bedingt geschlossen. Und weil viele im Urlaub Wert darauf legen, Wlan ist im Preis enthalten ;-). Zudem hat man hier noch das Gefühl, etwas Gutes für unsere Mitbürger mit körperlichen und geistigen Beeinträchtigungen zu tun. Einige durften wir sogar bei Ihrer Arbeit auf dem Campingplatz beobachten. Man sah Ihnen den Spaß bei der Arbeit an. Und immer schön dran denken, WoMo-Fahrer grüßen sich.

Schöner Campingplatz. Direkt am Bodensee. Etwas versteckt. Davor ist so ein normaler Stellplatz der nicht so toll ist. Wir waren sehr zufrieden alles sauber und freundliches Personal.

Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen und Ruhe finden nicht überlaufen ruhig neues Personal gute Küche sauber. Einfach toll hir wahr mit meiner 3 jährigen Tochter zelten und wurden seher freundlich behandelt.

Wir waren auf dem angeschlossenen Campingplatz. Sanitär sehr sauber. Höflicher Empfang egal wer da gerade Dienst schiebt.

Bin nach schwerem Unwetter und heftigen Regenfällen mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs dort angekommen. Habe eine Platz bezahlt mein Zelt aufgebaut und den Wetterbericht gegoogelt. Aussicht auf Regen und Sturm dann habe ich nach einem Upgrade für ein Zimmer nachgefragt und tatsächlich für einen kleine Aufpreis auf 30€ ein Zimmer bekommen. Ich kann nur sagen Top Service, total freundlich und dann auch noch vorbildlich in Sachen Inklusion. Danke schön

Auch in diesem Jahr Juni/Juli durfte ich wieder schöne Tage auf dem Campingplatz verbringen. Leider nun allein. Der Platz liegt nicht weit vom Hafen, der Stadt und vom Bodenseeradweg entfernt , ist sauber und die Sanitäranlagen werden mehrmals am Tag gereinigt. Das gesamte Personal ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich fühle mich dort sehr wohl und werde bestimmt nochmals die Gastfreundschaft nutzen.

Pro: Friendly and clean. Neutral: Showering costs extra. I suppose people behave more sustainable that way. Con: Overall a bit expensive and not sufficiently modern.
