Food was very good. We'd love to come back.

The Calimero is a cozy restaurant. You feel very comfortable there and receive a very warm welcome. A great ambience invites you to linger and the food you ordered was served quickly. Large portions that are very tasty. Absolutely recommended....not our last visit to Calimero.

We were there for dinner and a cocktail in the evening. The food was ok. Service was always there when we needed it. No long waiting times. The Long Island Ice Tea really has it all.

The ambience and the food were very good, only the beef fillet strips announced in the dish were only available in the form of small square and tough pieces of meat, more reminiscent of soup meat. It's a shame that the staff didn't respond to my feedback at all.

Amazing Ribs! I would even travel back to Bamberg just to have them again. I got them to go, and they were just as tasty. Combined with the curly fries they were supreme. Service is fast and friendly, drinks delicious. This place is a must!

We used to be regulars here. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is no longer as good as it was back then. Plata trés Amigos, for example, consists of 70% nachos. Plus 3 more! Mozzarella sticks, quesadillas and 3 completely burnt chicken wings for €12.40. Salsa blanca resembled tasteless mayo. In general, it can also be said that the size of the salsas bowls has practically halved. There were five of us there and we all had different dishes. It was generally okay, but not as good as it was back then. The ambience was good and the service was fine. It should also be noted that the women's toilet was no longer really clean at 8 p.m.

I was in this place recently and all I can say is that it was an extremely disappointing experience. First of all, they couldn't bring me a dish that I had ordered. That's already a big minus. But that wasn't all: the two other dishes I finally received were completely wrong! Instead of what I wanted, I got something I didn't even ask for. Communication with the staff was also not particularly pleasant and seemed rather unprofessional. The food itself wasn't even worth mentioning. It tasted bland and to be honest I wasn't really impressed. Given the high prices, I expected more. For what I got, the price-performance ratio was simply catastrophic. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I definitely won't be returning.

The food was good, even if it didn't taste quite typically Mexican

I visited Calimeros in Bamberg and was overall satisfied. The restaurant offers a solid selection of food that is well prepared and generally tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting, ideal for a relaxing evening. The service was friendly and attentive and the food came very quickly. Overall, Calimeros is a good restaurant for a leisurely meal, but for my taste the dishes lack that certain bit of sophistication. Nevertheless, I can recommend it if you are traveling in Bamberg and are in the mood for Mexican.

There were three of us at dinner and we had to make a reservation, which was probably necessary during the week. The service was very friendly and food and drink were on the table after about 15 minutes - enchilladas and spare ribs. You could definitely taste that it was fresh. Definitely coming back.

Even though it wasn't really full, we were seated at the table where the cutlery was handed out. We made our choice under the eyes of the staff, but were deliberately ignored. After 15 minutes we had enough and left. It's a shame actually.

I had vegan fachitas, very tasty. Great service and very nice waitresses. The prices were either more expensive but you get a lot of food and it was very good. Gladly again

We were here on September 24th and ate inside. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, although it wasn't very crowded. The chicken fajitas were ok but not special. The meat was a bit dry, the vegetables a bit lacking. Everything is within reason, but I've eaten much better food.

Mexican food that could be more authentic. (But they are in Germany). Courtyard is a bit dark but very relaxed.

The blonde waitress was terribly arrogant and said she had to put herself above the guests.

Unsympathetic waiters and overpriced

It was a great experience to eat there. Was a birthday present for me. The group of young men from Munich who celebrated a bachelor party were the icing on the cake. I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

Unfortunately, the ribs were weak (they were served very quickly, which surprised us when the place was full), there was very little meat and it was tough. What's worse, a large amount of bbq sauce dominated the taste of the ribs... And here's the question? Was the sauce supposed to hide something more?... The beer is a disaster!

Top. Food price performance very good. However, someone should take 30 minutes to use the washrooms. Replace or screw on the toilet seat. The heater hasn't seen a damp cloth in months.

We like being at Calimeros because we like the atmosphere and we like the service. The culinary offerings here are also delicious. You can also come in and relax with a non-alcoholic cocktail and then drink an espresso. Stay as you are and always be open to suggestions, that's how I would describe the team. Update on June 15, 2024 again a great meal, top service. My favorite restaurant in Bamberg.

had lunch here, the location is very attractive. Unfortunately the shop is deserted at lunchtime. Food came quicker than drinks. I can recommend house lemonade and ribs. calimeros is more for the evening/night.

Great service, the guys are very charming 🤭 the bride and I, the maid of honor, were happy with our grill plate (especially the spare ribs, the maid of honor liked it 😁) Unfortunately, the rest wasn't particularly well received, the wild garlic pasta was dripping in oil. However, it's also a mystery to me why you don't let the food go back and leave it completely uncommented🤷‍♀️ The only criticism I have is this football game, it was way too loud and we were really looking forward to a nice atmosphere with appropriate music. For a bachelorette party with football background sound instead of music, not great for the atmosphere, I wish we had known that earlier, I think we would have decided differently.

Unfortunately there was a lot of football going on, toilets, well... the ambience was ok but a bit uncomfortable and it was drafty so we put our jackets back on. We told the waiter three times that we needed containers for packing but only got one for nachos, salad and meat... what happens when you mix everything should be clear. Tables definitely too small for plate size. Large TV with loud football broadcast definitely spoils the cozy atmosphere... What a shame

Very nice atmosphere. Good music in the background, incredibly nice, attentive staff! I had the vegetarian enchiladas, very tasty. Plus a homemade lemonade, which was freshly prepared by a very charming bartender. All in all a very nice restaurant. Definitely coming back.

The food was ok Rather average and reminiscent of every other Mexican you know The map is clear but that's better than overloading it The ribs, the coleslaw and the nachos are good, the fajitas were okay even if there wasn't enough of everything There's a lot of savings on dips and cheese, but the lemonade is very tasty and refreshing There wasn't much going on, which is why the waitress was talking loudly to people in the dining room and you had to listen. However, she at least asked how we were. She was also friendly and quick. The ambience is a bit boring. All in all it was fine

I ordered the Plata tres amigos, quesadillas pulled pork and the spare ribs here. The Plata tres amigos is clearly a perfect starter as the portions are really more than generous for the price and are fresh. Quesadillas pulled pork 10/10. Spare ribs could be a little more cooked and could use less sauce. (a matter of taste) Great atmosphere, waiters very nice and accommodating. But clearly too much for 2 people. Be very hungry or order less))

La comida es estilo mexicano, no mexicana auténtica, hay que tener eso en consideración. Ordenamos quesadillas y burritos vegetarianos, es el mismo relleno para ambos, la diferencia es la presentación; estaban ricos, rellenos de arroz con maíz y frijoles. El restaurante es lindo, los meseros muy amables. El rango de precios por persona (cerveza incluida) es € 18.

The service and ambience are really good, but the cocktails and food weren't that good. Whiskey Sour actually consists of 3 ingredients: 5cl whiskey, 3cl lemon juice and 2cl sugar syrup. But the drink only tasted watery and foamed, which is due to the addition of egg whites. The sauce on the enchiladas tasted like mirakuli sauce. Unfortunately not recommended.

The restaurant is very nice and the drinks and food on offer are very tasty. However, the waitresses are very unfriendly and respond somewhat disrespectfully. The behavior of the service staff put a damper on your mood, although the rest was actually very pleasant.

Unfortunately, service wasn't that great, the waitress walked around with a pinched face the whole time, despite the great guests and atmosphere. That somehow ruined her mood, she would have been better off going home. The boss of the house came to wish my wife a happy birthday, which was very thoughtful and kind.

The staff is friendly, My burrito was good, unfortunately the combination of gurcamole had too much lemon and the olive paste was okay. The spare ribs were very tender and the salad with them was great. Overall a good experience.

We got dirty looks from the staff right from the start. In addition, the price-performance ratio is incomprehensible. The food isn't great either, especially for the price. I feel sick. The enchiladas were ok to eat, but afterwards my stomach is full. Maybe the waitress's bad mood also got on my stomach!

Rarely have I waited so long for my food. It's too loud even if the music is ok. Nevertheless, I find it annoying to have to wait 1.5 hours for my food.

I wanted to hang out again and drink a beer and eat a burger at the bar, like I've done a few times before. But now the smoked beer was gone (*), and only a tapas burger was left on the menu. A pity. I have to look for something else now. (*) Is that enough to lose the concession in Bamberg?

We were in Bamberg for a day and spontaneously got a table at Calimeros. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The starter plate consisted exclusively of convenience products. The tacos tasted very bland. The enchiladas resembled a soggy casserole. Above all, we missed the typical coriander and the fruity, spicy pico de gallo. The only thing our order had in common with Mexican food was the name. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they weren't particularly attentive either. The price, which was far too high, increased our disappointment. Not recommendable.

Food was ok but service was clearly overwhelmed or stressed, in any case the coordination between the two ladies was poor... it could certainly be improved. As well as the friendliness: everything from cheeky to very friendly... What a shame.

Hier kann man bei einer schönen Atmosphäre. Gemütlich seine Mexikanischen Lieblings Speisen genießen.Die Bedingungen sind echt flott und freundlich auch wenn viel los ist. Das Essen kommt schnell und es schmeckt einzigartig. Leckers Bier gibt es auch noch.

Essen ist sehr gut, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch sehr gut. Nette Bedienungen! Kommen immer wieder gerne.

Hatten die Calimero Grillplatte und kommen aus dem Schwärmen nimmer raus. Gute Würze, zartes Fleisch, super Dips. Wer in Bamberg ist, sollte unbedingt hier her kommen. Der Service ist sooo freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine top Adresse 🤩

Took almost 30 mins to get my food. Wish there were more veggies(or meats) in it. But overall, it was quite good. 평범한 이탈리아식 오븐 그라탕이랑 멕시칸 소스 섞인 어딘가의 맛입니다.. 확실히 맛없없이지만 예상은 되는 무난한 맛

Wir haben kurzfristig für 12 Personen noch einen Platz gefunden. Obwohl es ziemlich voll war. Das Essen war sehr gut gewesen und große Portionen .Der Preis war gerecht für das Essen . Auch die Bedienung war sehr auf Zack .Besonders der Fabi war immer gleich da .Wenn die Getränke zu Ende gingen.Und hat für Nachschub gesorgt .Also es ist sehr zu empfehlen. Werde auf jedenfall nochmal vorbei kommen. Auch wenn ich eine Anfahrt von ca 80km habe.Da ich nicht aus der Gegend bin

Das Essen war außerordentlich gut! Also Fajita mit Hähnchen war ein Traum. Getränkeservice war top, leider haben wir aufs Essen sehr lange warten müssen. Die Erklärung des Servicepersonals das es eben Samstag Abend ist, ist OK, was aber schon sehr ärgerlich war, dass Tische um uns herum die wesentlich später kamen ihr Essen wesentlich eher bekamen. Die Tatsache trübte unseren Besuch leider etwas ein.

Waren in Bamberg zu Gast und kamen unangemeldet ohne Reservierung am Samstag Abend in das Restaurant..... Obwohl der Laden aus allen Nähten platzte wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und mit etwas Wartezeit an der Bar haben wir trotzdem einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen. Das Essen war wirklich super, ich würde sagen überdurchschnittlich wenn ich an Mexikaner in unserer Region denke....... Schöner Laden mit besonderem Ambiente der mit den coolen und freundlichen Mitarbeitern echt Laune macht. Danke für den schönen Abend, Topp !!!

🇲🇽 Super leckeres Mexican Food und tolles Ambiente. Genauso wie man es von früher noch kennt! Freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen! Wir kommen definitiv wieder👍🥰

Anrichtung des Essens war fantastisch. Bratkartoffeln waren auch sehr gut. Das Steak fand ich überwürzt, da es sehr scharf war. Das hat den typisch saftigen Steakgeschmack leider etwas kaputt gemacht. Der Service hatte uns leider versehentlich nach den Getränken vergessen, was passieren kann. Auf die Nachfrage, ob Sie mein Essen einpacken könnten, wurde verneint und stattdessen eine Alu-Packung ohne Folie auf den Tisch gestellt.

For context we were there quite early and so we can’t judge the atmosphere much. The food was pretty great, although expensive. Unfortunately, the restaurant only has one waiter doing everything, from cleaning tables, to taking orders, to bringing the food, to charging. Not the waiters fault, they should have at least 2 people in there. The place gets pretty full.

Wir bestellten zwei Portionen Quesadilla. Einmal mit Hähnchenfleisch und einmal mit Roastbeef. Leider war das Essen eher pampig und wenig ansprechend. Für die doch etwas gehobenen Preise hätte ich mir mehr erhofft. Schön wäre gewesen, wenn beispielsweise etwas Chili oder Jalapeños um das Essen klassisch mesikanisch zu verschärfen.

Mittlerweile kann ich Calimeros nicht mehr empfehlen, die Preise sind schon echt hoch geworden. Wir waren am 14.10.23 zu fünft essen. Wir haben nach der Happy Hour gefragt, da diese auf der Website unter Events angepriesen wird, welche sogar täglich von 18:00-19:30 Uhr sein sollte. Jedoch wusste weder die Servicekraft noch die anderen Mitarbeiter etwas von der Happy Hour. Selbst nachdem wir die eigene Website mit dem Angebot vorgezeigt haben, haben wir natürlich nicht die vergünstigten Preise erhalten. Das ist einfach eine echt dreiste Aktion und meiner Meinung nach, hätten die uns zumindest ein Getränk verbilligt bekommen sollen. Was das ganze dann noch getopt hat, ist die Tatsache, dass man für einen Moscow Mule knappe 9€ gezahlt hat und einen kleinen Becher mit extrem viel Eis erhalten hat. ( Ich war vor einen halben Jahr auch im Cali und habe das gleiche Getränk bestellt, jedoch einen größeren Becher erhälten hat, was noch mit Gurkenscheiben dekoriert war)

Früher war mehr Lametta.Gefühlt würde ich sagen, dass man hier auch mittlerweile versucht für mehr Geld weniger Volumen auf den Teller zu bekommen. Früher war beim Burrito etwas Salat mit dabei und auch Dips. Jetzt gibt es den Burrito solo. Geschmacklich ist das Essen sehr gut. Enttäuscht war ich von den alkoholfreien Getränken. Die meisten gibt es nur 0.33L für 4,10€. Wehe dem der Durst hat, vor allem bei den gut gewürzten Speisen. Wenn dann das Spezi auch noch schmeckt, als wäre es mit Wasser gestreckt und einfach nur dünn ist grenzt das fast schon an Abzocke. Schade

War mega lecker und top Service

Das Essen war der Hammer. Große Portionen, hat auch satt gemacht. Der Service war super freundlich. Beim nächsten mal in Bamberg, möchte ich aufjedenfall nochmal hier her.

Super location, super marketing, Karte modern und halb authentisch. Deswegen haben wir uns entschieden dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Das Erlebnis war dennoch sehr ernüchternd. Vorspeise war recht schnell da und auch soweit gut, kein Gaumen Spektakel aber ehrlich. Mit den Hauptspeise begann das Drama, Wartezeit ca 45min, Restaurant war zu diesem Zeitpunkt zu 12% besetzt. Als uns das nicht sehr kompetente Personal uns final mit unserem Hauptgang beglückte mussten wir feststellen das es so scheint als wäre das Essen einige Zeit unter einem Salamander gewesen. Dementsprechend hat es auch geschmeckt, Tacos waren so sehr durchgeweicht dass sie nochmal in einen soft taco shell gesteckt worden sind, die “famous” Grillplatte hatte einen kleinen Fett See inklusive. Über den Fleisch Geschmack besagter Platte waren wir sprachlos, Qualität und Zubereitung waren katastrophal (rotes Schweine Fleisch, undefinierbare marinade bei Wings und ribs, etc.). Als unsere fast vollen Teller nach langem warten endlich abgeräumt wurden, waren wir erleichtert, die Frage “sollen wir den Rest einpacken?” Haben wir verneint. Resume: unprofessionales Personql, katastrophale Küche, schlechte Qualität. Schade dass ein Lokal was TK Ware warm macht, sich Restaurant nennen darf. Missbrauch von wertvollen Lebensmitteln.

ein typisch mexikanischer Laden mit freundlichen Bedienungen und einer breiten Auswahl an Speis und Trank. Wir hatten einen gemütlichen Platz im Eingangsbereich und konnten dort zwei leckere Drinks genießen. Der Preis noch im Rahmen und wir sicher bald mal wieder vorbei!
