The Greek food was fantastic! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the spices are perfectly balanced. A culinary trip to Greece – very tasty and highly recommended!

Good food Service fast, friendly, and attentive Cleanliness also good Points deducted because only cash payment was accepted and we weren't explicitly informed of this. It's a shame, because otherwise it was great! You get a receipt upon request. It was particularly positive that we were offered to take the meat we didn't eat with us.

The food was outstanding! The souvlaki was tender, the gyro crispy, and the tzatziki was unbeatably creamy and flavorful. One of the best Greek restaurants we've ever eaten at!

Four people went to the so-called "restaurant." The food tasted okay. However, there were problems when paying – we were overcharged by about €20. We asked the "cashier" how he arrived at the total, but he couldn't tell us and simply said it wasn't on the bill. He threw €5 on the table and was very rude. Not recommended. A math course and a "friendliness seminar" would be advisable! Service - Terrible. Table dirty and sticky. When ordering, they couldn't explain what the food was... You should carefully consider whether to go to another Greek restaurant.

Super friendly service, plentiful and delicious food.

Positive: The food is really delicious and the portions are generous. Negative: The service is a disaster. No "have a nice day" greeting after the checkout, no help with a high chair, and the women's restroom is missing a toilet seat! We had the leftovers packed up, but we only got the meat. The leftover rice and tzatziki were either thrown away or reused. In short: While it might be good for pick-up, a visit to the restaurant is not recommended. Typical Greek hospitality is lacking.

The gyro was fantastic! Superbly seasoned and nicely crispy. I also highly recommend the Suzuki. You can taste that everything is freshly prepared and that convenience foods are avoided. Friendly and pleasant service. I'll definitely be back!

We were here for the first time today, but definitely not the last. For me, it was the most delicious gyro I've ever eaten, and the quality was excellent. Wonderful hosts who took great care of us without being too intrusive. Please keep up the good work!

Yesterday, we spontaneously went there for dinner with nine people. We ordered a varied menu, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. The starters were especially delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

A Greek restaurant like you'd expect. The restaurant reopened in May 2025 after renovations. It was definitely worth it. The service was always attentive but never intrusive, excellently done. The food was exactly as you'd expect, very tasty, and the portions were just right. I tried a little something from all the plates (there were 10 of us) and it was all delicious. Two small things for the owner. Your restaurant is very, very warm; I don't want to sit inside in hot weather. (Outside seating) is available. And your music is too loud; upon request, it was turned down a bit, which was fine. But it could also have been due to the speaker that was right next to our table. Thanks for the great food and service 🥰

We were thrilled! For just €22 per person, we were treated to an incredibly extensive menu that truly left nothing to be desired. The selection was extensive, the portions very generous – we were more than satisfied. Each course was lovingly prepared, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. We were particularly impressed by the variety: from classic appetizers to succulent main courses, there was everything. The value for money is unbeatable, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for good Greek food in generous portions, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!

A very nice Greek restaurant, Delphi. Highly recommended because it's very affordable, the staff is very friendly, and I have to say a big compliment to the kitchen... You can't get the lamb shank in every restaurant in Bamberg. My fourth visit to Delphi was fantastic.

We were at Delphi yesterday. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were impressed by the new design. It's bright and inviting. We received a very warm welcome and were served refreshing, homemade lemonades within a few minutes. We shared a starter platter and shortly after, our main course. The crowning glory was the dessert. You could taste and see that the food is still homemade. The portion sizes were perfectly adequate. We paid €60 for two people, and the food, ambiance, and friendliness were definitely worth it. Keep up your standards and your restaurant will continue to thrive.

We've been here four times since it reopened and are still absolutely thrilled. The restaurant's decor is very nice. The food is of very good quality and plentiful. For me, this is the best gyro I've ever had at a Greek restaurant; the other dishes, like the village plate, were also excellent. For dessert, we ordered a Greek yogurt with honey and nuts—a dream! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant definitely deserves ***** stars for us!!! We'd love to come back.

The new owners opened the restaurant on May 20, 2025, but they have the audacity to pass off the old reviews that were submitted for the Delphi under the previous management as their own. It seems a bit strange and uninformative to me that all the old reviews were simply copied over.

A very pleasant atmosphere. You walk in and you're in Greece. No frills, nothing superfluous. Simply very nice. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is very extensive and very tasty. The value for money is excellent. We discovered it by chance online, but we were completely thrilled and pleasantly surprised. We wish the owners and everyone who works there all the best and much success.

We visited the new Delphi for the first time on Thursday, and we had high expectations, as we were extremely satisfied with the old one. The prices were great, except for one minor issue, and the staff was friendly. But the food wasn't 100% good... the garlic bread just wasn't right and wasn't enough for the price... the gyro was unfortunately completely dry, and some of the fries were undercooked... the tzatziki was absolutely delicious! The salad with our meal was also missing. We still wouldn't go back.

After its reopening, the Delphi Restaurant is much brighter and more inviting than before. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I was particularly impressed by the lamb shank – so tender it didn't even need a knife. The farmer's salad was super fresh, and both the gyro and souvlaki were perfectly prepared. We'd be happy to come back.

We visited the reopened restaurant today. Our first impression was very clean, bright, and beautifully decorated. The food was very good, and the portions were truly generous and delicious. Unfortunately, it wasn't that busy (but that needs to change, because it was really good, and while the selection isn't as extensive as it used to be, there's something for everyone here!). We'll be happy to come back, and the new owners' efforts to live up to their reputation should be truly rewarded... Just give it a try...

It was a very nice and delicious restaurant and I recommend everyone to visit it.

The people are very nice, if a little absent-minded. But maybe they just don't have any previous restaurant experience. And that's not a bad thing. It also leaves room for one's own fingerprint. The food was as I've experienced it at other Greek restaurants. The only thing that really bothered me was that you're practically pressured to write a Google review, and you're expected to do it right there in front of the waiter at your table. The older ladies at the next table were no different. Since the ladies themselves didn't know how it worked, the waiter simply took over the phone and did it herself.

We had a reservation for 9 people for 6 p.m., and we arrived on time. Only one table was reserved, and there wasn't enough room for 9 people. We were then allowed to join the neighboring table. Some of the food we ordered arrived at 7:15 p.m. What we got was quite tasty. When I asked about the missing side dishes at 7:25 p.m., the response was, "You can see the restaurant is full." At 7:29 p.m., different side dishes arrived than ordered. Other missing side dishes arrived even later.

Plenty of room for improvement at the new opening I was really looking forward to visiting this newly opened Greek restaurant, but was unfortunately disappointed. The wait for the food was over 1.5 hours – far too long, especially for a restaurant that's trying to prove itself. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and, unfortunately, inedible. The service was friendly and attentive, but it couldn't make up for the overall poor experience. Since this is a new opening, I'm willing to give the restaurant another chance in two months. If it doesn't work out then, it will definitely be my last visit. I really hope that the processes and the kitchen will be better coordinated by then – the potential is actually there.

The service was abysmal. They were friendly, but completely distracted and disorganized. We had to wait a very long time for everything (cutlery, drinks, etc.), and the food, in particular, took at least an hour to arrive. I won't be eating dinner there again.

We're happy that there's a Greek restaurant here again. We were there today, a few days after it reopened. The food was delicious, the portions almost too large for us, and the price-performance ratio was actually too good for today's prices. The photos include a small gyro. We used to love going to the old Delphi on a whim and were sad when it closed. We're all the more pleased that there's a Greek restaurant "around the corner" again, where you can just go on a whim. We wish you all the best! And not to forget... super friendly service!

Beware of fraud! On the website under: FROM THE OWNER it says that when you order 2 main courses, you get 0.5 liters of wine for free. But the service doesn't want to know anything about it. He says no matter what the website says!!! We've been going to the Delphi for 40 years, even under the old owner, but that was the last time. Portions have become significantly smaller, prices are more expensive and now people are being lied to. In the past, you would get a bottle of wine on your birthday, Christmas, Nicolaus' wedding anniversary, and a Metaxa or a glass of your favorite wine after dinner. That was still Greek hospitality! Well, you don't expect that at all anymore. But luring your guests with offers that don't exist at all is audacious! The food was good but that can also ruin your business.

Wonderful Greek, and usually no reservation is necessary! The food is good and you always get a starter salad. I had a vegetarian dish and that was also very tasty. My husband's meat was soft and tasty, just like the tzatziki. The wine was full-bodied and it didn't give me a headache ;) The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy! The price is also right; We never go out to eat for so little money. I have nothing to complain about.

I was there for the first time with my husband 2 weeks ago. The portion size could have been larger. The thing that annoyed me the most that evening was that I had long black or brown hair in my salad. Which I find pretty disgusting in itself. But I also think "we're all just human, it can happen sometimes" So I waited until the waiter came. And I pointed it out to him quietly (so that not everyone at the neighboring tables noticed) and in a friendly way. He just took the plate and brought a new salad. Not a single word of sorry, sorry, or a special Uzo. NOTHING. It can always be something. But I expect at least an apology or something similar. That was probably the first and last visit there.

I expect something special on Valentine's Day. But I can't understand what happened now. My last visit in 2020 was actually great. Now exactly the opposite! The Uzo came promptly, then you had to wait 20 minutes for the actual drink order. Another 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn't even half full at 7:30 p.m. and it didn't get any more than that. The waiter wasn't really visible, so you could make your presence felt. He came to order food. Classics ordered, lamb chops and sirloin gratinated. Another 45 minutes and half thirsty. The cutlets were too salty. Loins were OK. Street order left for the children. It used to be better I'm so sorry.

Das Delphi in Bamberg ist ein super gutes griechisches Restaurant, dass wir immer wieder gerne besuchen. Sehr gutes Essen und Weine zu sehr guten Preis. Fühlen uns immer sehr wohl und willkommen, zur Zeit gibt es eine Aktion: Zu 2 Hauptgerichten gibt es einen halben Liter vom Hauswein rot oder weiß kostenfrei dazu. Parkplatz gibt es direkt im Hof und es sind immer gut Plätze ohne Reservierung frei. Immer wieder gerne.
