Also ich fühlte mich Heute sehr wohl Hier. Und eine seeeeehr nette Bedienung.

Schrecklicher Service! Langsam, wir durften kein Dessert mehr bestellen, weil wir 6 Minuten zu spät waren, das Erfrischungsgetränk schmeckte komisch und wir mussten sogar extra für Soßen bezahlen. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich. Leider verwenden die Inhaber ein Zahlungssystem, das Gebühren für ausländische Karten erhebt (das ist weder üblich noch notwendig) und zudem kein Trinkgeld für die Bedienung ermöglicht. Da ich erst kurz zuvor wieder in Deutschland angekommen war, hatte ich leider keine Euros für Trinkgeld dabei. Das trübte den ansonsten sehr gelungenen Abend. Ich empfehle daher dringend, ein anderes Zahlungssystem zu nutzen!

Alles gut, aber leider sind wir nicht Freundlich empfangen worden so das wie am liebsten wieder gegangen wären.

Nach einer schönen Wanderung gestern dort die ganz besonderen Pommes Frites probiert - mal mit Parmesan und mal mit Knobi - dazu leckere Saucen als Beilage - das passende Bier gab es selbstverständlich auch - sehr zu empfehlen - es war alles sehr gut und wir waren sehr zufrieden - kommen natürlich bald wieder, da es noch soviele schöne Wanderungen gibt - TIP TOP !!! Danke schön :-)

Gestern nach einer schönen Wanderung hier eingekehrt. Freudliche und schnell Bedienung, ein Lokal zum wohlfühlen mit wunderschönen Blick über den Stausee. Die ganz besondern Pommes waren enorm köstlich, ob Knobi oder Parmesan 😋 Einfach Top, wir kommen ganz sicher wieder 😍👍

Leider viele ,nicht alles, conviniensproduckte.. Essbar ja, aber leider mehr Pommes Bude mit schöner Sitzgelegenheit. Als Restaurant kann man anhand der vielen conviniensproduckte meines Erachtens nicht bezeichnen.. Ist halt ok aber nichts besonderes.. Die Lage wird preislich gut ausgenutzt.. Verbesserung.., besser deglarieren im Vorfeld was conviniensproduckte sind.. Und was evtl.. Als Tages Gericht aus frischen Zutaten hergestellt wird.. Mehr Pommes Bude., wenig frische kücheunsere Erfahrung auch wenn es dementiert werden wird.. Frisch zubereitet ist alles.. Zumindest bei mehrfachen besuchen unter der Woche wurden uns conviniensproduckte serviert

Eine typische ausflugsgastronomie am see, nicht sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, aber der Streuselkuchen war lecker und der Service war nicht

Der vorbestellen Tisch war für 8 Personen viel zu klein, er war für sechs. Daher sehr ungemütlich

The service was friendly and the food was tasty.

We waited half an hour, still hadn't been helped, although others who came after us were. We raised our hands several times, but nothing happened. The old woman was busy with a "known" customer, and the young man preferred to look right through us rather than ask if we wanted a drink. It was an unsociable place, so we got up and left, never again.

Actually the only option in the village to have a bite to eat in the evening. There is not a lot on the menu, but the flammkuchen were tasty. Good price. The service did not seem to enjoy their work very much. Nice place to sit on the terrace. No very busy road where you are sitting

Things are a little more relaxed here, but the service is very friendly, and you can sit right on the lakeshore or on the covered terrace. The food is delicious and filling!

Five men were happy and satisfied after a hike over the Pentecost weekend. Delicious food and drinks, and the service was really good. Many thanks to the experienced lady! The mini lollipops were a great treat :)

Food is okay! The best is the service and location. I will not say that it is a must visit on your trip if you are a tourist, but it's good to go there once.

My husband, my little daughter and I regularly eat at Strepp am See because it combines well with the beautiful forest playground in Obermaubach. I know the restaurant from my own childhood and really enjoy coming here. The food is of excellent quality, a little more unusual and interesting than the "very classic" home-style cuisine. We find value for money completely reasonable. Everything is fresh and made without processed products, as far as we can tell. What's particularly great is the exceptionally friendly and professional service staff, who are also very child-friendly. All in all, highly recommended, and the location right on the lake is unbeatable anyway.

Very nice atmosphere with a view of the lake. Good outside area. I had currywurst fries and the dish was ok. The service was really bad. Very young, overwhelmed staff. After 50 minutes we were asked if we had received our food (currywurst fries) yet. After criticism, an apology was made and the food came after 10 minutes. Although addressed, there was no response.

Yesterday I ate a super delicious waffle with hot cherries, ice cream and cream, with some chocolate 😋, was served nicely and just felt good...

I had dinner here with friends in September. Very nice location right on the reservoir. Outdoor terrace with tent roof. Very nice service and great food. I had a rump steak with herb butter, fries and coleslaw. I ordered rump steak medium rare and got it exactly that way. Very well fried! The fries were very crispy and tasty. Vanilla ice cream for dessert. The small one is huge (3 mega big balls). All in all a very nice evening. There is currently also dog ice cream for our four-legged friends.

I was there yesterday with my daughter and her dog. It is rustic and comfortably furnished. The lady from the house was very accommodating and very friendly. You had the feeling of being welcome. The food was tasty and inexpensive. Currywurst with garlic fries and currywurst with parmesan fries. There was dog ice cream for the dog, which was also liked. When we're back in the corner, we'll come back.

Schnitzel was good, the service team was very attentive and nice, the ambience was of course great right on the lake. Bowling alley old but good. We felt in good hands. Thank you for your hospitality.

A solid, cozy excursion restaurant

Da ich in der Nähe wohne treffe ich mich dort ab und zu mit Freunden zum Frühstück oder nachmittags zu Kaffee und Kuchen. Für nachmittags gebe ich absolut eine Empfehlung!!! Die Kuchen und Torten sind durchweg sehr lecker. Das Frühstück ist leider nicht so richtig gut, aber dem Preis entsprechend. Für 21€ bekommt man 2 Weizenbrötchen,2 Mehrkornbrötchen,2 Croissants und Schwarzbrot. Dazu Rührei und reichlich Aufschnitt und Marmelade. Die Menge ist vollkommen ausreichend, allerdings sind es keine Bäckerbrötchen sondern TK Ware und das schmälert den eigentlich guten Eindruck. Fazit, ich werde die Besuche auf nachmittags beschränken, da kann man nichts falsch machen.

Cozy restaurant with an amazing homemade vegetarian schnitzel!

At the beginning I was very skeptical because I found the prices to be very high. Luckily I really wanted my schnitzel :). It was worth it, the service was very nice and even though they had a lot to do, they managed everything very well. The schnitzel came relatively quickly and was well prepared. The portion was decent and the quality of the food was very good. I'll definitely come back. There are no photos this time. When the schnitzel arrived I was so happy that I missed taking a photo.

Ambiance and service great. Food very mediocre, prepared rather without love. Stomach can be filled. Unfortunately no more. P.S: Make apple strudel with delicious apples, vanilla sugar and better raisins with a little rum. But yes, that costs money. Nevertheless, you would definitely be willing to pay 1 euro more per strudel and be happy.

Die Lage ist toll, direkt am Seeufer gelegen. Überdachte Außenterrasse mit Blick auf den Stausee. Das Essen kam zügig und Getränke wurden auch immer schnell gebracht. Die Preise kann man als moderat bis günstig bezeichnen. Das Niveau der Speisen würde ich maximal mit Durchschnitt bewerten. Es hatte gehobenes Imbissniveau, mehr leider nicht.

More than disappointing. Due to celiac disease, a strict gluten-free diet must be adhered to. The service staff was asked in advance whether this was possible. She said yes, but according to her, she couldn't clarify this. Which was very disappointing. After a long back and forth, we found something. However, something completely different was brought to the table as agreed... The whole thing ended up costing even more than a normal full meal. In our opinion, over 30 euros is a bit much for 3 potatoes with very dry meat without sauce. The service staff didn't respond to the criticism at all. Sorry but never experienced anything so disappointing. Especially because I come from the catering industry myself and therefore know that you have the opportunity to talk to the guest and answer them and tell them honestly if something doesn't work. To top it all off, the food was of course not gluten-free and I had severe problems afterwards. A pity.

Very tasty food and nice service. We were here around June 2024 and had schnitzel or heaven & ahd.

We sat comfortably and ate a delicious schnitzel.

Service completely overwhelmed. We were there with a celiac disease patient. There was only one dish. A few dry pork medallions with fried potatoes and salad. But despite all promises, not gluten free!!! We now have the result. The change from fries to fried potatoes was also charged separately, even though the waiter said that the fries were by no means gluten-free. There wasn't even herb butter with the dry meat. Ketchup and mayo were also charged separately. The sauces for the other dishes were also a disaster. Zero taste.

We sat in the covered patio room. We had soup which was delicious and the service was friendly. What we didn't like, however, was that people were smoking heavily at three tables around us and since the smoke couldn't escape sufficiently in the covered room, we were very smoked. It would be worth considering whether smoking could be restricted to the tables in front of the house and the outside beer garden. We left the place early because of the smoke and a couple who came in turned around again, saying that they smelled too much of cigarette smoke and would lose their appetite...

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, great view of the lake. Staff/service was great, very friendly. Overall the food was okay. The salad with the schnitzel was large and very tasty. The schnitzels are very soft and juicy. The only thing we didn't like was the sauce. Paprika sauce had a weak taste. The curry sauce was way too sweet. Price performance is also okay, large portion that will definitely fill you up.

Unfortunately, you take a journey back in time to the golden 60s and 70s when you visit good old Strepp. I don't think the store has put a single euro into your interior design yet. Well.....still everything seems relatively well maintained. The prices are relatively reasonable for the beautiful location. I would describe the food more as home cooking... you probably can't really expect culinary highlights either. The kitchen has probably adapted to the ambience over the years. Due to the beautiful location I would give it a fair 3 stars. Highly recommended for a short stay after the walk. I just don't have the love for this gastronomy...it's a shame because the location is really unique.

We were very satisfied. Totally nice innkeepers and super delicious food! We enjoyed the evening there.

We (hiking group of 10 people) spontaneously wanted to stop off at the Strepp am See restaurant in Obermaubach after our hike. The covered beer garden was not very inviting, but there were plenty of free tables. We asked the waiter if we could put two tables together. The gentleman wasn't very enthusiastic and had to ask the boss, but he didn't give us much hope. He came back with the words “The boss doesn’t want that.” We were stunned and would of course have put the tables back where they were afterwards - but no chance. We left the restaurant stunned. If you treat guests like this, you shouldn't be surprised if at some point no one comes anymore. We went over the dam wall to the other side, but found two free tables outside in the crowded garden of Café Flink, which were far apart from each other. We asked again whether we could put the tables together and the friendly and extremely courteous waitress replied "Yes, but of course, that's no problem at all". So we were able to spend a nice afternoon with delicious cake in a nice, hospitable environment! Streep by the lake? NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The right place, in the right place, with the right offer.

The service is friendly and attentive, but the food is stuck in the seventies. Price-performance ratio = 3- ADDITION after opinion: Opinions are always subjective! And your long-winded justifications aren't exactly professional. I didn't judge on the price, but on the value for money. And for me the performance was not commensurate with the price. Example for m.M. after food from the 70s: the Schnitzel Stausee was simply served with too much sauce (too much is not always better) and I was served such a side salad in a Yugoslavian restaurant in the 70s (see also pictures in a previous review). Only then did the coleslaw always taste better. If the green beans in this salad were not from a jar or can, but were homemade - then urgently check your recipe!

After a wonderful walk along the reservoir in the best weather, it was a treat to stop off at the “Strepp am See” cafe. As always, the service was very friendly and accommodating... there was even a moment for puns and hearty laughter... thank you very much for that🤗

A very good restaurant with outdoor dining. Excellent service in a wonderful family atmosphere.

Large restaurant suitable for groups. Regional dishes prepared deliciously and on the table quickly and friendly. In summer also in the covered beer garden with a wonderful view of the reservoir. Italian feeling especially in the evening. The Rurtalbahn is on the doorstep, you can go back here every hour.

We arrived thirsty and hungry after a hike. It was obviously quite full inside, there was only one other couple sitting outside in the beer garden with coffee. So we put ourselves out there. After waiting for 10 minutes without paying any attention, we politely asked inside whether someone was coming to take our order or whether we had to order inside. The waitress assured us that someone would come out. After another 15 minutes we left in exasperation after people who came after us and were seated inside received drinks before we even saw the menu. Of course this can happen when there is a lot of activity and it's a shame because the food looked very tasty. Unfortunately for us it was a bad experience.
