Bruschetta three variations: limp bread, carelessly slapped on aioli, tuna or tomato, not very appetizing. Grilled meat with tagliatelle: Meat tasted like liver, not crispy, seemed cooked. We couldn't eat. Pizza was okay. Service was OK. Ambience superficially nice.

Great food, highly recommended. Ambiance could be spiced up a bit.

We were there for dinner with eleven people. The employees quickly remodeled for us so that we could all sit comfortably together. Excellent, friendly and courteous service looked after us the entire time. I have eaten mussels many times in my life, but the ones served here stood above all of them. It was easy delicious, best ever.

Been there today. Nice place. Friendly and fast staff. Food good. Unfortunately the prices surprised me. Significantly more expensive than seen online. E.g. Pene al Forno from 8.90 to today 13.90 euros. Oops. Significant increase. Other dishes are also at least €3-5 more expensive. One should update the menu on the internet to attract customers with affordable prices.

As always, the food is TOP!! No matter whether pizza, pasta or burgers. The homemade salad dressing is amazing. The changing special menu always has something great to offer. The Königshöhe team is always super friendly, happy to help with any questions and always pay attention to their guests. The restaurant is also very inviting but simply furnished. The slightly older sanitary facilities are a tiny minus point, but that doesn't mean a star less for me. Looking forward to the next visit.

Very good food. Reasonably costs. Good service. A special place for Wuppertal.

We were there for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. It was hot, but it was wonderful to sit in the beer garden. Very tall trees provide shade and also ensure that there is pleasant air there. The tables (2, 4, 8) are well spaced out and you don't sit cramped. We ate breaded chicken a la Milanese, pizza, garlic bread. The chicken was great, juicy and so tender that you could cut it with just a press of a knife. I have to be honest, I've never managed chicken like this before. The breading was very tasty, the side salad was also well prepared. My husband really enjoyed the pizza, as well as the garlic bread. We were very satisfied with the food. The service was friendly, but felt a bit uncoordinated. A drink order was forgotten, and the wait for the first drink was a bit long for us, considering it was well attended but not packed. There is some room for improvement here. The waiting time for the food, however, was absolutely ok. We will definitely go there again.

Yesterday we were there again for a long time; We used to go there regularly. FOOD: the quality of the food may vary, but then we obviously had a mediocre day. My wife ate an "Insalata Pollo". In contrast to before, the portion was “quite clear,” as Loriot would have said. This wasn't made up for by three large slices of toasted white bread; After all, you want to eat a salad and not dry bread with a side salad. I myself ordered a pizza Funghi, which I have eaten there many times. Yesterday there was also not enough toppings and the pizza was quite dry - also because the edge was very wide. Since the prices have now increased by a good 40%, the ratio of price to quality and performance didn't really fit. DRINKS: For us it was a mystery how you could get an apple spritzer, which is stated on the menu as 0.25 l, into a glass that can only hold 0.2 l (according to the calibration mark on the glass)? - As a guest you feel like you've been taken seriously. SERVICE: friendly, but not overly trying. Since there were only a few guests there around 3 p.m., the waiting time for food was clearly too long at more than 15 minutes. AMBIENCE: has gotten steadily better in recent years; The outdoor area in particular has gained significantly. CONCLUSION: As far as the food is concerned, unfortunately it's no longer particularly attractive for us - also because of the portion sizes and the preparation. We look back with nostalgia on earlier times when we always looked forward to visits to the Königshöhe Restaurant and were always very satisfied. It is questionable whether and when we will return there again under the current conditions.

The positive aspects first: The ambience and location is nice and quiet. Unfortunately, that’s where it ends… The staff seems absent and partly disinterested, but we were still offered a better place, which we were very happy about. Unfortunately, from this point on, the experience took a turn for the worse. We ordered two pilsners and received two warm, stale glasses of “beer”. Unfortunately without carbon dioxide, you would almost believe that the old leftovers were dumped here. To make matters worse, at the end we noticed that there were bits floating in the beer, which definitely couldn't have come from us since we hadn't eaten yet. Oh well - it can happen! For dinner we ordered 2 pizzas (1x pizza salami ham & 1x pizza deluxe). This was served after a good hour, which didn't bother us personally as we could see that the “restaurant” was full. However, the waitress' comment when serving was quite astonishing: "Unfortunately it's a bit crispy, if it bothers you, let me know." The “Deluxe” pizza we ordered had more similarities to a cookie than a pizza. Since we finally wanted to eat, we didn't complain about the pizza, but the very fact that they serve something like that is quite incomprehensible to us - here, for example, things could have been lightened up with a small gesture or a price reduction . For 50€ (4x beer & 2x pizza) it's a bit disappointing. Conclusion: if you are looking for a nice atmosphere, you will definitely find it here, but if you expect good food here, you should probably look for something else.

We were there for pizza day and only paid €9.90 per pizza. Something is happening: Since my visit there, some structural measures have been implemented. You now have a comfortable and covered outdoor area. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The pizzas came quickly and were a decent size. I was fed up. My fellow contestants didn't manage to get their pizzas. The dough was crispy and tasty and well topped. What I liked was that when you picked up a slice of pizza, the base basically held up and only gave way slightly. The drinks were quickly brought to the table and payment by card was possible.

Nice to sit outside, otherwise an atmosphere like a garden clubhouse, but the chiki miky local doesn't like what has charm. We only had something to drink, I didn't find it attractive in terms of price, I thought the prices for the food were OK but as I said I didn't try it. The best thing is really the location.

I wanted to make a reservation for 30 people about a week ago! According to the woman who served us that day, it wouldn't be a problem! Because a group of 30 people had already registered on the same day, but they didn't know which area! In the restaurant or winter garden, she wanted to call me within 2! But she didn't do this!! Today I called again and suddenly it's not possible to reserve the winter garden. I should come by and you'll see if it's a good fit! Just coming over with 30 people to see if it fits is nonsense to me! What do we do if it doesn't fit???? In any case, I think this behavior is impossible!!!!!!!

Last night we went to the Königshöhe again for a long time for a spontaneous dinner. The weather made it possible to sit on the terrace, which was well occupied. Unfortunately, the comparison to previous visits is not positive. As a starter we ordered a salad for €16.90, which we wanted to share. A bowl arrived half filled with mostly lettuce, a few corn kernels and a few strips of meat. In our opinion, the price and performance ratio is not ok. Cutlery and a small plate each came upon request. The pizza, which we also wanted to share, came straight onto two plates. The topping was delicious, but the dough wasn't baked properly, some of it was still raw and glassy. Cutlery only came again after the pizza was on the table. Salt and pepper are not set on the tables. Overall, both service and cuisine are unfortunately no longer convincing. You miss the really highly motivated service that used to be there. Since we missed a pizza on the menu and asked the waiter about it, we learned through conversation that the owner had changed. Is that the reason for the poor performance?

To a greeting with the words: menu? One of the male employees then took a fairly solid order from a waitress. The meal itself, two schnitzels, was quite small in terms of portion size, especially the side dishes. The quality was fine. We had to wait more than 15 minutes for the bill because the staff preferred to serve other guests, take orders, clear tables and wipe clean after asking for the bill. Although they had already apologized to us once for still waiting, this behavior continued. When they finally came to collect from us, they only did so by stating the amount. Neither a “please” nor a “thank you” nor a “have a nice day” and despite giving a tip that, in my opinion, was now unjustified.

We often eat there... Today the pizza was excellent as always! But changing the starter from bruschetta to tri de bruschetta is, to say the least, an outrage for 8.90 euros! Three thin slices of toasted standard white bread... two carelessly smeared with cream, one with a little chopped tomato and 4 olives... Ingredients max 1 euro - very disappointing!

The Königshöhe used to be an insider tip, back in the day... Affordable prices, narrow and cozy. Yesterday we were there again after a long time and were not satisfied. It was extremely expanded, expanded and pitched. The bottle of mineral water now almost eight euros. Very loud, conversation hardly possible because no sound-absorbing materials were installed. In the end, we had 160 euros on the table for two couples - and didn't eat anything special. The waiter refused to pay us separately for each couple. That wouldn't work, only the total amount. It's a shame, but they won't see us again any time soon.

Were there today for a birthday. To be on the safe side, we reserved a table for 4 people. However, when we arrived we were able to choose the spot. Weather permitting, we sat outside. The waitress was super friendly and always helpful. The drinks were at the table quickly and the food also came in a reasonable time. The drinks were cold and the food was hot. We had pork and poultry schnitzel with a mushroom cream sauce. A poem♡♡♡. The burger was also to die for. There are typical kids menus especially for children. All dishes were beautifully prepared and, as I said, a dream ♡. It was an experience. An all-round successful meal. We always felt comfortable and it was more like eating with friends. We always enjoyed coming to Königshöhe after a hike in Burgholz. Unfortunately it wasn't so great today. We sat down in the winter garden and unfortunately the state of hygiene left something to be desired, there was dust everywhere, the carpet runner was dirty, as was the guest toilet. The winter garden needs a coat of paint. We didn't get the day ticket either. The pizzas weren't bad, but I've had better here. Actually a nice location that you could do something with.

Ich war kürzlich an einem Sonntag Nachmittag (ca. ab 17 Uhr) im November 2023 hier essen. Das Essen war so superlecker und der Service total aufmerksam. Das Essen kam schnell. Das Ambiente ist entweder drinnen im Restaurant selbst total warm und gemütlich oder im Wintergartenbereich eher ruhig, aber auch sehr lauschig. Man hört den Regen aufs Dach prasseln, sehr gemütlich. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen schön im Biergarten sitzen. Die Umgebung der Königshöhe eignet sich zudem ganz toll, um vorher oder nachher noch im Wald spazieren zu gehen. Hier gibt es teilweise eine tolle Aussicht auf Wuppertal. Und der der tolle Von-der-Heydt-Turm ist nicht weit. Ich komme definitiv gerne wieder zum Essen vorbei. Leider habe ich keine Fotos vom leckeren Essen gemacht. Nur von der Umgebung. Beim nächsten Mal bestimmt!🥰

Das Café liegt einfach so ganz unauffällig am Wegesrand wirkt im vorbeigehen unscheinbar. Gut das wir angehalten haben. Aussenterasse bequem möbliert. Supernette aufmerksame Bedienung, tolle Karte, Essen grosse Auswahl und wirklich lecker. Der Kaffee und der Limoncello haben es perfekt abherundet.Wir freuen uns aufs wiederkommen. Der Pizzatag in der Königshöhe ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Die Pizzen sind nicht nur unglaublich lecker, sondern auch erschwinglich. Das Ambiente war einladend, der Service war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Ich kann diesen Ort für alle, die gutes Essen zu schätzen wissen, wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir waren zu 12 Personen dort essen. Der Service war super, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei Anfrage ob die Schnitzel gebraten oder frittiert werden, wurde uns mitgeteilt das die in die Fritteuse kommen. Was uns allen nicht zugesagt hat. Wir entschied uns dann für was anderes. Ich hatte Schweinefilet und Soße Hollandais. Leider was das Fleisch trocken, fettig und sehr knörpelig. Meine Freunde waren aber soweit zufrieden. Ich würde noch mal hingehen und eine Pizza oder Salat probieren. Die Tageskarte sah auch toll aus. Wird beim nächsten Mal probiert.

Vorab wir gehen dort meistens zum Fisch essen hin. Ansonsten bisher nur Pizza und Vorspeisen gegessen. +Fisch ist wirklich sehr gut und vom Preis her unschlagbar +Service, bisher immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam +wechselnde Angebote die preislich nicht zu schlagen sind. - wenn der Laden ausgelastet ist, kommt es manchmal zu etwas längeren Wartezeiten (so schlimm war es bisher nicht). - die Toiletten müssten wirklich mal renoviert werden.

Großartiges Preis- Leistungs Verhältnis! Alle Gerichte sind auf den Punkt zubereitet! Extrawünsche sind noch nie ein Problem gewesen. Der Blick in die offene Küche verrät ein gutes Hand in Hand arbeiten. Der Service ist aufmerksam, die Toiletten sauber. Auf Alkohol in Speisen wird ausdrücklich hingewiesen. Die Terrasse hat eine ebenso lockere und sympathische Atmosphäre, wie die Tische im Innenraum. Wir kommen gern!
