Drinking a cocktail at the end of a lovely evening. The cocktail was good, the service was good, unfortunately it was far too loud for me personally in this huge room

Ready-made schnitzels that are just thrown into the deep fryer. Unsalted fries are soggy. The other portions of my people were also partly lukewarm and slapped down. It would be just about ok if it were a kebab shop with a third of the price. But that's just bottomless!

It's been a while since I've been back to Del Sol. Despite all the stress, the service staff are really friendly and really try hard. In terms of the ambience, you have to be able to get used to it, as it is very loud, especially in the evening. You just have to like it. What bothered me most personally was the price-performance ratio of the food. I think it's cheeky to charge just under 12 euros for a small bowl of romaine lettuce with 3 small slices of baguette bread, a few croutons and 6 small falafel balls. Charging the syrup for a coffee drink at +1 euro is too much for me. I know everything has become more expensive, but please be realistic.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit to Café del Sol. Despite our repeated requests, the heaters were not turned on - even though it was cold and we, as paying guests, would have expected a little more comfort. The staff were polite, but apparently the decision rests with the boss, who clearly has no interest in providing a pleasant atmosphere for the guests. It's a shame that little attention is paid to the needs of the guests here.

You have to read the menu very carefully and ask questions if necessary, because the pictures don't really correspond to what you can order. At best, the service can help. The food itself is delicious, parking is also okay and you can also sit outside under a roof.

Were here for the first and last time, everything was actually ok. But in terms of food, not really recommended, unless you have no expectations. The schnitzel is dry and the fries are lukewarm. The burgers didn't taste any better than at the fast food joint. Conclusion: OK for a cafe, but not good for food.

The food is good as usual, as is the ambience. We love coming to a Café del Sol, no matter where. But what needs to be particularly mentioned here is the exceptionally professional and friendly service. Without exception, every waitress was extremely polite, attentive and eloquent. This immediately made you feel more comfortable and valued. Unfortunately it's rarely seen these days, so kudos to the team.

Super nice employees and fast service. We really enjoyed the schnitzel and falafel bowl. Since I only managed 25% of my food, it wasn't a problem to pack the rest for home.

Cafe Del Sol lives from the facility and the location. The service is below average, the pins are getting smaller and the prices are rising. For me, Del Sol stands for “hui on the outside, yuck on the inside”. Price-performance is really underground in the Del Sol! Editing the review after feedback from Del Sol; Instead of taking the feedback seriously, people talk about “quality” here. So you want to tell me “pay €15 for 2 pieces of organic dough, the main thing is quality”. That's not the point of the matter. In another review, the customer “Farzan” complains about the absolutely cheeky few fries with the burger and you say “So that there is still room in your stomach for the other delicacies. However, you are welcome to reorder. You shouldn’t starve here”…. Are you serious? Who wants to pay €15 for a meal and then have to reorder it X times? You can just tell how little customer oriented Del Sol is. Instead of the customer being adequately satisfied, he has to order again so that the cash register rings. Wow!

Great location, unfortunately a bit noisy if you sit in the middle of it. Good service, unfortunately the food is just standard and nothing special.

We were there yesterday evening, it was very tasty but we have never been in such a dirty Cafe del Sol. The toilets were dirty, the lamps on the wall were completely full of cobwebs and the window sills were also dusty and full of dead animals.

Really nice shop. A bit noisy and often full, but I would say that being so crowded speaks for itself. The food is completely ok and the selection of drinks too. From Tuesday to There's plenty of schnitzel on Thursday... I think that's really good. However, the portions are relatively large, so you can't manage more than one more schnitzel anyway (i.e. me). I also like the atmosphere outside in summer. I'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, Café de Sol was not convincing. We were there with 6 people on a Friday evening, the order was taken incorrectly... okay, that can happen. But then discussing it with the guests is uncool. The salad we ordered was mediocre. I don't expect frozen pomegranate seeds at these prices. The rest of the food was good.

The food is good but served very late. It's too loud.

I'm really disappointed. The taste of the food has diminished and even though the service is quite nice, we had to wait an hour for our food for the second time. All the waiting makes you feel hungry and the cocoa is also brought to you cold.

Unfortunately, it's as loud as in a train station hall. This could easily be remedied by installing acoustic elements, especially on the ceiling.

Super tasty breakfast. However, all the plates and spoons were missing for a while. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. The explicit request for an O juice in a glass larger than 0.2 was also denied. There are glasses larger than 0.2 in the restaurant. Then you should also fulfill the guest's wish. Not good service. Cheese was gone for 20 minutes. When asked about it afterwards, they only responded by filling it up.

The food and drinks are very good, the ambience is good too, but I don't need the music in the background.

The staff was totally overwhelmed, the order was forgotten, after 30 minutes we asked. Plus point that the drinks were on the house.

Dishes are on high tables in the middle, out of reach for small people. Food is replenished quickly. Unfortunately, when scrambled eggs are filled up, they are not cleaned in between.

So We chose the café because neither of us had been there before and wanted to try it out... In terms of ambience, it looked great, but there was music playing in the background, which isn't a bad thing in itself, but it was just way too loud, making it more than difficult to have a normal conversation. In terms of service...they were always trying hard. We reserved a table three days in advance and it was neither shown to us nor given to us, what did we even reserve for?? It took 10 minutes plus before we could even order the drinks, but after that everything came quite quickly. The food and drinks were very tasty. Paid around 40 euros for a lasagne, chicken burger with fries, raspberry iced tea, hot chocolate and a cola. Would give the store another chance in the hope that the service would be a little better and you could have a normal conversation. The toilets were clean. All in all 3/5 stars for me.

Another sad experience. There wasn't much going on at breakfast brunch. Nevertheless, the service staff didn't manage to take our order after 25 minutes. Please think twice about whether the €19.50 without drinks is being spent correctly here.

So unfortunately you hardly get anything for your money. We couldn't understand how anyone could save money on plain fries. So the plate is only half full and the meal is more expensive. Then drinks don't come or are forgotten. You might be under time pressure, especially at lunchtime. Service staff friendly, but slightly overwhelmed. And the standard answer; Next time we'll do it better... it doesn't really do much good if you just don't come back at all. Too bad.

The three of us were at Café del Sol. I ordered a raspberry pomegranate iced tea. The photo in the drink menu and the actual drink were almost two different drinks. See photos. Raspberry pomegranate juice + blackberries. There are tons of blackberries in the photo, there are actually 2 in the drink, in words two 🫣. When asked, it was said that only 2 pieces are intended for this 😀. She then brought me a few more ☝🏻👍🏻. At least the service was otherwise good, even though I got the wrong burger. But it was quickly exchanged. However, the burger was priced high at €11.90 for the really minimal occupancy 🤷🏻‍♂️. This price includes fries, for example. Before Corona, Café del Sol was really perfect. Actually so-so now. But the service staff were attentive and really friendly.

Main courses were okay but the prices are not reasonable. The dessert in particular was absolutely not recommended for the prices. Service staff seemed slightly overwhelmed and was difficult to reach, even though it wasn't even full that Sunday.

Well - changed order taken but not prepared as requested. So the food goes back and has to be re-arranged. My food was okay and I'll start. We wait - and wait - and wait... After 30 minutes we asked - it was newly prepared but delivered to a different table - so no food to be expected. It is prepared again and brought to the table after no less than 1 hour. The point of a meal together is to eat together. The accommodating non-calculation of the second dish doesn't help either.

Always delicious - highly recommended.

The service was great, even the waitress understood our complaint. Unfortunately, here you get a taste of nothing for your money when it comes to food. The burgers are priced so high, but you get a simple McDonald's burger. The whole thing is no longer with fresh meat, but with dead grilled frozen meat. Extremely disappointing.

Unfortunately, I can't give you a second chance. I've never had such a small cappuccino in my life. Feels like it's half the size it usually is, if not smaller. You should specify the milliliters, then I would never have ordered it. The burger was very simple and super greasy. Fries also super greasy. The Pinta (I mean that's what it was called, without guarantee) has very few tomatoes on it, you have to make an effort to put as few small tomato pieces on the dough base. Of course it's all just my individual opinion.

My most recent visit to the restaurant Unfortunately, Café del Sol Hildesheim left me disappointed. While the ambience was attractive and the staff friendly, the value for money of the food left a lot to be desired. The prices of the dishes are simply too high. For the asking price you would expect outstanding quality, but unfortunately this promise was not kept.

We had breakfast brunch. Was very good, with croissants, different types of rolls and bread. However, coffee, cocoa and so on are not included in the price. The staff was friendly, always inquiring and quick after ordering. Warm food was available from 10 a.m. Also delicious. We will be back.

Dog-unfriendly - never again! We have been regular customers here for years and enjoyed the breakfast buffet or brunch on the weekends. Til today… As always, we had put a cloth on a chair so that our little Yorkshire terrier, Mini, could make himself comfortable. There has never been a problem with this in the last four years - until today. The boss probably wanted to show his family what a great entrepreneur he was and told the waitress to tell us that this was against hygiene regulations. a. The dog did not come into contact with the chair because of the cloth that covered the entire chair. b. We have been to many restaurants in recent years, such as the “Funky Kitchen” or the “Tresor” in Braunschweig. Although these restaurants are in a completely different class, the issue was never raised there because it wasn't a problem! But the gentleman had to make himself important. A good entrepreneur would have come himself and said that it was okay this time, but please pay attention next time. He ruined our brunch this way and we definitely won't be coming back. Apart from that, everything is more expensive here anyway and the selection has become smaller. For just under 65 euros for two, there are many other places where you can enjoy brunch - with entrepreneurs who really know what's important and how to deal with guests! We cannot recommend the quality or service. That was the last time for us!

We ate here with 11 people as part of a company event. The main courses were consistently well received. Personally, I can recommend Schnitzel del Sol with fries. We found the side salad to be boring and not entirely fresh. A dressing would help here. Two colleagues were served non-carbonated cola and complained about it twice. On the third attempt, Cola was poured from the bottle, which was perfect. My recommendation would be to order a small cola, which will be served in a bottle. Large colas apparently come from the dispenser where the CO2 addition is defective. In total, the bill showed 5 colas even though only 3 were served. Therefore only 3 stars overall.

A simply great restaurant. The food not only looks amazing but also tastes really good! The service is always friendly and the restaurant has a very nice charm.

So eating was so-so... Salad is only available with dressing upon request and by schnitzel I mean something else (quite small). We ordered cola but it was only non-carbonated (even after a comment it didn't get any better) We were still charged for the coke despite the fact that it was returned. Dirty dishes are also left standing until the flies collect on the table. All in all, this was my first and last visit here.

Leaves much to be desired. Salad without dressing Got 2x non-carbonated cola Schnitzel could have used more sauce. Dirty dishes are not cleared away for about an hour.

I am deeply horrified by my experience at Café del Sol today. For the second time, I was almost forced to leave a tip by a pushy waitress. This behavior is completely unacceptable and makes the visit extremely unpleasant. Additionally, our private conversations were constantly interrupted, which made the entire experience very disturbing. The food was also disappointing and not at all tasty. What is particularly shocking is the fact that the atmosphere at Café del Sol has deteriorated so drastically compared to previous years. It's sad to see how much this once pleasant place has deteriorated. After these disappointing experiences, I will look for another café in the future.

Great restaurant, like all Cafe del Sol, with a very nice outdoor terrace. There is sufficient parking space. The service is super nice and helpful. The burgers were good. We'd love to come back.

We went for breakfast with 4 people; on a Saturday there is a buffet. For the number of visitors, it was refilled quite late, which certainly has something to do with the lack of staff! Otherwise it was ok;

Just don't order the Thai Curry Bowl! It tasted strangely sour, the rice wasn't cooked through and the dish doesn't deserve the word "bowl". It's more of a SchniPo shop. Unfortunately, the acoustics are also tiring. However, the service was very attentive.

After giving it 5 stars ages ago, I unfortunately have to change the rating. This is now the second Hildesheim restaurant that has disappointed. I ordered the baked mini potatoes with cherry tomatoes for €9.70. I got a handful of mini potato flns and 2!! Cherry tomatoes. The salad that was previously there has apparently been deleted without replacement. One pinsa was burnt and couldn't be eaten with a knife and fork. The fries with the hamburger corresponded in quantity to a small fries from Mäcces. Dear people, that's not possible. When we told the waitress, greetings to the kitchen, but two cherry tomatoes in a dish that has tomato in the name is silly. The answer was, yes, it is known, but the kitchen has the instructions. If you're already expensive, there has to be at least something on your plate. Two out of three people stayed hungry, and I'm definitely not a big eater.

Burger tasted delicious and the conditions were very friendly. Unfortunately they're just passing through, but who knows...😉

Burgers are mediocre at best. The patties are briquettes. We waited 50 minutes for 3 burgers. Already bottomless when the store isn't even full.

We were there for brunch. Little variety - it's much better in the Bavaria Alm. The service was overwhelmed, the empty plates and glasses were piling up - WHEN someone came by to take a drink order, nothing was cleared away. Likewise, they couldn't keep up with refills. Both with the food and the dishes. The hot dishes included fish - unfortunately it was full of bones

When we are in Germany we always start with a Curry sausage with Pommes. So here too. It was delicious and we were served well by friendly staff.

The schnitzel tasted great, the almond cake was simply amazing, the staff was very friendly and committed, the atmosphere was very nice... we spent wonderful hours outside on the large covered terrace. Let a great mother-daughter Whit Monday end. Thanks to the many hard-working hands, the nimble feet and the nice faces at Café del Sol Hildesheim.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor and the menu is not labeled very well and is misleading. Unfortunately, something wrong was brought to the table, which was then changed at my expense. The statement from the blonde waitress “has it already been eaten otherwise the new dish also has to be paid for” competent employees would be an advantage. In the end she became very snippy. Never again was it a shame to have been there often.

The lemonade and iced teas are very tasty. The food is good too. Could be even better in some ways. The sauces on the chilli cheese fries, for example, weren't quite as good. The service is very friendly and accommodating. You can visit it once in a while, but I wouldn't go there too often.
