Bavaria Alm Hildesheim in Hildesheim

We were there with a large group, about 20 people, and had ordered in advance at the restaurant's request to avoid long waiting times. After 1 hour 45 minutes we got our food which was very tasty. Despite moderate attendance, the waiters only came by sporadically. No one asked if anyone wanted dessert. I think you could have earned a lot more money from us. In short: Service was bad but the food was really, really good.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Fast and courteous service, but not intrusive. Gladly again.

We ordered a table for brunch for several people. It was also reserved. The disaster begins when at least 3 people had to get up to let one through. And that was at the breakfast buffet. The next table also had to be moved. One at the buffet Long queue with pushing and shoving. Poorly organized. Scrambled eggs were out and they didn't come for ages even after repeated requests. The selection of bread is very modest. The cold buffet offers nothing special. Just any standard. The fruit platter seemed to be more of an alibi. The warm food was unfortunately cold, potatoes, smoked pork and overcooked frozen vegetables taste much better warm. Ordering a second cup of coffee was rather difficult, the plates weren't cleared away either. The shed wasn't very busy either...maybe 40% occupied. Some grandfathers even had enough space to play hide-and-seek with their grandchildren. I'll be happy when the outside terrace is available again. Hopefully there will still be enough staff to enjoy the aLaCarte food in a more relaxed manner. 10/2/24. THAT HAS changed here to the great advantage...The staff is friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is pleasant, the ala carte food is completely okay for a system restaurant...Even the little dog, Pelle, was welcome..

Cozy Bavarian restaurant, enough parking spaces in front of the door

We spontaneously drove past while passing through. For now it is probably only by reservation. We were still allowed to sit down. When asked about a child's chair, the mood was not so high. We were there with 6 adults and one child. Upon request, our drinks order was taken. After a while this came too. After a renewed request, our food order was taken. After more than an hour, at least the rice pudding arrived for the child, which was really only warm. Then they asked again for drinks. Then finally our food came, When it came to the schnitzel with fried potatoes, the potatoes were cold. Two dumplings in different variations, both types not cooked through. The other two dishes were OK but didn't blow anyone away: The price/performance ratio would be good if the food was warm and cooked through. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Our visit on September 21st around 10 p.m. was probably already too late for the service. Empty glasses on the table, tables not wiped down, cutlery missing. The empty glasses were not cleared away during our entire stay. Therefore one star for the presence of the service staff, one star for the ambience and 4 stars for the good food. I think things like that are always very subjective... but I'm just giving my opinion. The food was really good, the service was very nice and attentive despite the stress (I think 1-2 not enough, which is why only 4 stars). The ambience is also very great if you have something to spare for wood and alpine pastures. But no party demolition hut don't be afraid. Really nice. My children, aged 14 and 12, also like it and are always the driving force behind making the trip to Hildesheim. So only positive things from me. What should be mentioned is that the prices are okay for me, so they are appropriate for the requirements and ambience. We wanted to have a little something to eat at lunchtime when the temperatures were high and we were surprised at how delicious it was and, in our opinion, how elaborately prepared it was and the price was really very good. Despite the restaurant being full, very good service, very good food and a good atmosphere.

A very pleasant, cozy and even romantic place with a living fire inside. Beer is great! Schnapps is a good choice. Very cheerful waiters. Always happy to come back again.

Nice ambience, good food, great service. The whole thing is rounded off with a good price-performance ratio and generous parking facilities. If you want to criticize something, it might be the somewhat limited selection of dishes. But for me personally it's not a negative point.

We were just passing through with the motorhome in Hildesheim and got off the motorway...and luckily we ended up here. Super friendly staff and the food was really great. The house is beautiful, lots of space. You can eat inside and outside. Prices are completely okay 👍 If we drive past Hildesheim again, we will knowingly stop here from now on.

There's a lot of wood on the inside, which looks very chic from Bavaria. Unfortunately the food doesn't make it any better. There were lots of little bones and cartilage in the pulled pork meat, which was pretty gross. Oversalt the soup. Salad wasn't as fresh and the dressing tasted even less tasty. The drinks are too expensive.

The Bavaria Alm is a concept restaurant in Hildesheim, which was also founded as a franchise there. A sibling restaurant is Café de Sol, which can be found right next door. The Bavaria Alm is structured in a typical way, as Prussians imagine Bavarian hospitality. The cuisine is hearty and goes with the ambience. What is distinctive is the large guest room, which is divided into different levels and exudes a lot of cosiness. The prices are reasonable and if you prefer German cuisine rather than Mediterranean and US specialties, this is the place for you. Bon appetit!

Today we were once again at the Bavaria-Alm in Hildesheim. We wanted to enjoy the evening in a cozy (birthday) group, eating and drinking. The restaurant was about one full. A total of three service staff were present - even with a "newbie" (as it turned out) the volume of work was in my opinion quite manageable. I'll summarize it briefly: All in all the visit was disappointing. By that I don't mean the food. It was tasty with a pleasant portion size. I'm not referring to the new service person who entered our order in a "bumpy" way into the electronic helper - which ultimately frustrated him so much that he resorted to a piece of paper and a pen (everyone has to learn, don't worry about it). It's the sad overall picture that the service delivered today. Starters came with the main courses - and then wrong. A first round of drinks came quickly, after which you could only order if someone happened to want to clear the table. During the dessert round, empty glasses and bottles were suddenly collected, so I wanted to ask if they were closing right away. It's definitely better - and I've never experienced it there before. Sorry, but that really wasn't good.

Breakfast was very tasty. The drinks prices are a bit shocking. But it has become expensive everywhere. Now just drink a coffee.

We were there this afternoon to have a wheat drink. We actually enjoy coming here. But today we sat at the table inside for over 20 minutes without the service taking care of us. At the next table we were told that they had ordered drinks, but had been waiting for them for a long time. We then got up and went somewhere else. The service has become very bad. A pity.

We went for brunch on Easter Sunday. What a choice. I would particularly like to highlight the roast lamb. Very lean and yet juicy, almost like pulled lamb, very well seasoned. Despite being fully occupied, no extreme noise levels and good air. The staff was friendly and on the ball. Gladly again.

I go here regularly for lunch and am very happy with everything :) there's nothing wrong with the taste of the food, it's just good :) the staff and service are great too :) I always prefer to order half a chicken :D There are also vegetarian dishes, but due to the Bavarian style, the food is quite meat-heavy :) The furnishings and the "ambience" are just cool :D I personally don't care about that sort of thing, but it looks really cool when there is such an enormously high fireplace in the middle of the room :D I can only recommend eating there :)

I reserved a table the day before. My request that I needed some space since I was in a wheelchair was also granted. The wheelchair toilet is easy to find and ok.

So canceled the other four, they were still on the way. Never again!
