I recently went to Cafe del Sol in Hanau and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting - perfect for spending a nice evening with friends or simply escaping everyday life. A very special thank you goes to Aci, our server that evening. Not only was she super friendly and attentive, but she also had a real knack for desserts! Her recommendations were a hit - especially the dessert she recommended to us was simply heavenly. You can immediately tell that she is passionate about what she does and enjoys her job. Thanks to Aci, our visit was a completely successful experience. We will definitely be back – and are already looking forward to the next dessert recommendation!

The Cafe del Sol in Hanau offers a great culinary experience with a very good selection of dishes. The food was really great and really suited my taste. I would particularly like to highlight the waitress Aci, who made the visit even more pleasant with her dessert recommendations. She was friendly, attentive and went out of her way to ensure we had a good time. The atmosphere in the cafe is relaxed and inviting. 1 star I don't understand how this place is even run. We were just there - the food was an absolute disappointment and not worth a cent. The hamburger was rock hard and hard to chew, and the fries were also way too hard. The lasagna was cold and completely tasteless. The only bright spot: the soft drinks were okay. But: never again! I can really only advise against eating there - otherwise your money will be lost.

Basically nice location. Breakfast buffet varied and delicious. However, the service is not available. Despite asking, we sat in front of a stack of empty plates until the end. Further orders were not asked at the table either. The floor at the egg station was very dirty. Nobody felt responsible for this either. The women's toilet smelled strongly of urine.

We actually go to Cafe del Sol quite often. It's a lovely location; the food is good and the service is quite friendly. We always avoid long waits for the food to arrive. This time too it took over 40 minutes. On Saturday afternoon there were few guests, but some service employees. The lack of attention from the service is annoying. Other than ordering and food delivery, there was no attention. We sat in front of empty first glasses and were unable to order a second drink as we were ignored. The dishes were left on our table for 15 minutes after dinner. We actually wanted dessert, but we decided not to. Afterwards we had to go to the counter to point out that we wanted to pay. Even then we had to wait another 10 minutes before we could pay. In the end, such behavior destroys the mood. Too bad

I think it's great here, whether for eating, drinking, a business lunch or a romantic date.

Gude, The only good thing is the samballhollandaise sauce and the ambience, otherwise it's just sad what the Café de sol has become 30 minutes until the drinks were there, over an hour until the food was there, it was really bad... When I reordered the schnitzel (schnitzel vacation) I waited another hour. This is really a bad joke

The service is catastrophic. People rarely look after you and it only clears up after half an hour, even though there wasn't even a lot of customers. The blonde waitress with the tattooed eyebrows is extremely unfriendly, sighs as she takes our order and speaks with an annoyed, passive aggressive tone. Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome and will leave it at the first visit. Really a shame!

Location looks cool, but that's about it on the positive side. There was no staff, long waiting times. On the subject of food, if you want to have diarrhea for 2 days you have to test the lasagna. It really cleans out the intestinal tract.

The breakfast buffet is highly recommended, varied selection, super fresh and beautifully presented. Unfortunately the service is not good, you wait forever until you can order your drinks. They charge 70 cents for the oat drink in coffee, which I no longer think is appropriate these days. Should be standard that you can choose 🙂‍↕️

We were there for lunch. We still got drinks, but you have to really work hard to order food. After ordering 5 meals we had to wait over 1 hour. I could see very clearly that the food was under the heat lamp and had not been picked up. Getting more drinks also required further effort. How this restaurant still has customers is a mystery to me.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. A schnitzel without breading was not available - probably because of the use of ready-made products. The waiting time for the food was around an hour, while guests who arrived later were served much earlier. The currywurst was hardly recognizable as such as only minimal curry was used. Improvements were only made upon request. The staff was partly friendly, but with a less customer-oriented undertone. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for a free table. Overall, an unsatisfactory visit - a repeat is out of the question.

I went there spontaneously on a weekend to have breakfast. We had briefly looked at the menu online beforehand, but didn't want to order brunch, but rather a la carte. We were told on site that we could only have brunch (€23 - quite expensive, especially without drinks, of course), so a la carte wasn't an option. Although this was a small sentence in the menu, it wasn't clearly formulated, so you would think that there was a choice of brunch or a la carte on the weekend. Maybe with better communication that would be possible, so we left again - without breakfast.

This weekend we were with a small group in the Cafe del Sol, which was very full at the time, and unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food. The waitress Patricia was very friendly and accommodating with her service and had the situation well under control with her humor. Explained the reason for the delay and at least brought us starters. At the end she persuaded us to order dessert.

Nice restaurant. We were there with a larger group. The cappuccino came very quickly, but because the cup was small, it was already finished before breakfast arrived. There are only four choices for breakfast – a wider selection, perhaps including muesli, yogurt, and fruit salad, is unfortunately lacking. The service was very good.

Wir waren letzten Freitag zum Abendessen mit Freunden im Café del Sol und hatten einen tollen Abend! Der Laden ist sehr schön gestaltet und lädt- trotz dem Lautstärkepegel - zum wohlfühlen ein. Die Bedienung Aci war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Auf ihre Empfehlung haben wir gutes Essen und leckere Desserts bekommen. Das Café del Sol bietet wirklich für jeden Geschmack was und ist definitiv einen Besuch wert!

Our visit was on March 18, 25 at lunchtime. We ordered something to drink and something to eat. The two of us are driving suburban. For dinner I ordered the Schnitzel del Sol and we ordered the Baked Mini Potatoes with fried shrimp. When the prawns arrived, there were exactly 5 prawns on the plate (€5.90), which had only touched the pan and had only been seen once. We told the waitress this in a nice and friendly manner as a tip. But the waitress was totally annoyed and just replied that's just the way it is and it won't be in the future. When I ordered a second schnitzel, this time with mushroom sauce, I also saw exactly 1 mushroom divided into 4 parts and a mini schnitzel. She then came and stopped asking for something new to drink etc. It's a schnitzel holiday and you can order as much as you want, but if no one comes to the table anymore, this is difficult. When we wanted to pay, we told your colleague because the waitress wasn't coming to us anymore. The colleague at the counter told the waitress that we wanted to pay. This came and didn't come. After waiting 10 minutes to pay, we were really too stupid. We then calculated exactly what we had ordered and put the money on the table and told the colleague at the counter who, according to her statement, unfortunately cannot collect the money. So after a long time I gave Café del Sol another chance and had such a negative experience in Hanau.

Well-kept ambience, leather sofas, wooden furniture, to feel good. On a former US military site, opposite the former Pioneer barracks, which older people will still be familiar with. In the style of a tropical beach hut, hence the name Café des Sol. The sun is always at home here, even when it isn't shining outside. Very friendly staff, courteous and polite, as well as competent. As a confirmed tea drinker, I liked the large variety of different types of tea. I was here for the first time today and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Waited over an hour for two pinsa even though it wasn't very busy. Pinsa ultimately arrived cold and rock hard. Service is nice once you have it at the table. Sorry, not recommended.

The breakfast was delicious, but unfortunately the service was not convincing. Wholemeal rolls were not offered and the corresponding request was answered unkindly. In addition, our drinks only came when we were almost finished with breakfast. There is definitely still room for improvement!

Were there again after years. Schnitzel del sol was as good as back then. Unfortunately the burger patty was very dry. I wouldn't recommend the currywurst to anyone, the sausage itself was subpar. We were there on a Friday and the place was really full, so they're doing something right. Conclusion: Schnitzel is good to eat, service was also nice and the atmosphere is really nice.

Always a pleasant experience, top location, as you know it. The dishes are well prepared and generally taste good - the price is fair.

Located in a commercial area. The immediate surroundings seem less inviting. When you enter the building you feel comfortable and in good hands. You sit comfortably and receive good and friendly service. There are enough parking spaces available. Unfortunately, what comes out of the kitchen cannot keep up with the ambience. The fact that this is a chain concept doesn't mean that the food has to come to the table in such a careless way. Under no circumstances can what is on your plate have been prepared by a professional chef. The hamburger is drowning in sauce. The paddy is dry and the whole thing looks like it was put together by a five-year-old child. The deep fryer schnitzel also bears no relation to the price quoted. Plus a cola from the 0.5 liter glass. You could really do something with this beautiful place and you need a kitchen that scores with quality and not with speed.

I've really enjoyed coming here for years; the food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our winemaker this evening, Aci (who served us quite often) took excellent care of us. After our meal there was a cafe and cappuccino with a biscuit; which by the way are very tasty. Upon request we received 2 more cookies with a friendly smile. It's definitely worth taking a look here.

I cut myself a little today because my glass fell down, then the waiter came immediately with two colleagues and gave me first aid, and later they bought me a drink. I can only write positive things about this cafe, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food and drinks are also very tasty. I highly recommend it 🩷

We three friends went to this restaurant. We each ordered a coffee and there were small cookies with it. We asked the waitress named Acı for just one more cookie because they were very tasty. But this waitress harshly reprimanded us and said that she could only give one and no more. Without listening to us, she turned around and left. We wanted to say that we would pay for the cookie, but she didn't listen to us. The waitress was very rude and rude. She watched us from a distance and gave us a stern look, which bothered us. It shouldn't be a problem to give another cookie that doesn't even cost 25 cents. The restaurant was very nice and the food was delicious, but we don't think we will go there again.

It's always nice. The food is delicious, you sit in a cozy atmosphere and the staff is friendly, attentive and quick. I only have one thing to complain about: we ordered an Aperol Spritz. It was served in a simple, rather small white wine glass and would be more appropriate to the name Driver's Aperol, i.e. h. it was very watery. Sorry, but if you make it so watery, then €7.80 is simply not justified or too expensive. I'll drink something else soon, but I think it's a shame.

Unfortunately not recommended at all… We waited over an hour for the drink/eat to be taken. My friend ordered a pinsa with pepperoni salami that they forgot to put on it. Some of the noodles were burnt. The waitress with the red hair, who didn't know where the food had to go, was very overwhelmed. Unfortunately, in general I wouldn't recommend it

Particularly noteworthy is the large selection of dishes. From classic breakfast variations to light salads and burgers to sophisticated meat and fish dishes, the menu is very diverse and offers something to suit every palate. Vegetarians and vegans will also find what they are looking for here. The quality of the food is consistently very good. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are prepared with great attention to detail. The price-performance ratio is also right. The atmosphere at Cafe del Sol is very inviting. The guest room is modern and comfortably furnished and offers enough space for larger groups. When the weather is nice, the large terrace invites you to linger. Another plus is the friendly and attentive service. The staff always strive to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. I can fully recommend the Cafe del Sol in Hanau and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Cafe Del Sol, as you know it everywhere, simply beautiful. Service super attentive and friendly. The food was also very tasty. We ordered schnitzel, very fresh and really tasty. On the second visit I had a salad and then cake. Both great! We really enjoyed being there and will come back.

Fries were cold, burgers were limp and didn't taste anything special. We left a lot of money there, perhaps because of the nice waitress who always asked for extras. The table we had was free but dirty. It was also very cool inside. We won't come back, the quality is just too bad for the price.

It takes far too long for the waiter to take the order and even longer for the ordered food to arrive. Tables are hardly regretted. Service not nice at all. Never again.

Absolutely not satisfied. We waited over half an hour for our order to be taken. The taste of the food was okay… although I had a fork in my salad. This was lying under the whole salad in the plate, I hope it was clean and that no used ones had fallen into it. Unfortunately I saw it too late because I had already eaten most of the salad. It was relatively far down. At the end I told the waitress but she wasn't really interested! I would have expected at least a price reduction. Finally I had a fork in my salad that I don't know if it had been used and it fell in! After all, the clean cutlery is at the table. Therefore I strongly assume that it was a used fork that fell in. Something like that shouldn't happen! I was disgusted, we won't come again! Absolutely not recommended. What a shame!

The service was a bit confused and overwhelmed. We had ordered two breakfasts, a latte and a normal coffee and a water without gas. The breakfast took an hour. The water didn't come at all when I paid. It was finally back after a long time. Beautiful indoor and outdoor area, good food and value for money. The staff is friendly. The burgers look great too, but you can only eat one thing per visit.

Normally very happy here. Here today on New Year's Eve. After 1 hour still no drinks. It's a disaster for a day like this. Service is zero. People were looking forward to that. Very disappointed. One star is far too much for that. Guys, you need to get more organized and prepared or just accept fewer reservations.

Now it's an imposition for me. There is so much potential in the store, but it is not being used. I ask the employees to send them to training. I won't come back.

Food...more of a snack bar feel. Service...very friendly, but unfortunately extremely inattentive. And that despite the almost empty guest room. Friday lunchtime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Ambiance... I prefer to leave the ladies' room without comment. Conclusion.... Definitely not anymore. At least not for eating and only going to the toilet in extreme emergencies. Too bad...

The breakfast buffet is impeccable. However, a comment from a slightly shorter person stuck in my ear: the tables with food are all quite high. And at least when I was there, all coffee products were a disgrace (thin brew - both as filter coffee and from the machine) for any "cafe", but that may be a one-time blip.

Café de Sol is a chain, so you now know what to expect, average standard, shop is quite large and relatively loud. Food was okay. Service could have been a little more attentive. PS: Be sure to clean and wait for the hand dryer in the toilet! Bahh.

You should definitely teach your server not to be angry if you don't tip or tip less. They should be happy that you give anything at all. Because that is not a given. The people themselves work their asses off and don't have to pay you too, your company does that!! Also, no one offers bread if you end up asking for money for it, no restaurant does that! All of this leaves a very bad impression on you.

We were there for lunch with friends and our children. Service was ok and the staff tried hard. It is nicely furnished, but due to its size it has a bit of the atmosphere of a train station hall. The volume level is roughly the same. Culinary is mixed at best. The children's schnitzels were the cheapest frozen goods, there are no fried potatoes, only fries (I find restaurants suspicious that can't cut a potato into slices and throw it into a frying pan). The BBQ burger was made from a frozen patty and slapped together rather carelessly, and for €12.90 it was pretty weak. The pinsas were quite ok.

Food was quite good, nothing special. I'm really excited about the breakfast buffet at the weekend, it's really great, there's something for everyone. Service was really great, very friendly, warm and accommodating. And also very accommodating for our little daughter. The ambience is generally very cozy, but in the back area we had to struggle a bit to be served or to be able to pay. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't show up that often and not in a way that you could raise your hand sometimes they didn't even look in our direction.

The store could actually be cozy and nice. But it's not, because it's really dirty there. The carpets and armchairs in particular are a complete disaster; But everything under the tables isn't cleaned there regularly - as often as is necessary in the catering industry! - cleaned. We got there around 1pm and there was hardly anything going on; Nevertheless, the carpets under the dining tables were completely dirty with leftover food; The table legs were also super dirty; i.e. no one cleans up in between. I couldn't even look down because it looked so weird. The armchairs that are standing there are also really old and broken. Replaces broken furniture, foregoes armchairs as far as I'm concerned, but puts something clean. Sorry, you don't feel well at all. Hygiene and cleanliness are still important and desired in 2024! Especially if I have to eat in this atmosphere (not exactly cheap food).

I used to go to Cafe del Sol very often (until 2 years ago), whether for private or business purposes, and was always very satisfied, but it hasn't gotten any better. The food was below average and way too expensive for this quality. Service was okay. For better or worse, I will have to look for another location to invite my guests to.

Were out with friends in Hanau today and wanted to have a nice evening at Café Del Sol. We sat for 30 minutes and no one served us. The black-haired one and the blonde-haired one didn't serve us or anything else. They told us twice that it was coming, but it came simply nothing and instead of chatting with the guests the ladies can take our order so HANAU WAS THE LAST TIME 1 star is even too much

On November 30th, 2024 we entered the restaurant at 10:20 p.m. and sat at the table for half an hour and were not served. After 15 minutes I pointed out to the lady with the dark hair that we would like to order something and that we had been sitting there for 15 minutes. She then waved to me that she would come soon and I waited for her. however nothing happened. There was simply no one coming. I started to get angry and went back to the front of the counter and asked if I should help myself. After all, there were four of us. I was then told no, someone would come to you immediately and we were very sorry that you hadn't been served yet. After another 10 minutes, no one came and I kept watching the employees. They were constantly chatting with friends and acquaintances at various tables. I will never enter Café del Sol Hanau again. This is just a juice shop. You can learn a lesson from Café del Sol in Fulda. Greetings, who slammed the door.

Soooo bad service. I've been here many times and have given it a new chance each time, but waiting so damn long for service is impossible. Unfortunately, whether there is a lot going on or not much going on, it is always the same. Today I even had to go to the service and order myself because no one came!

We were there for a parents' meeting. I liked the atmosphere, it was comfortable to sit and it was clean. The food was very tasty, although unfortunately the dishes were all brought to the table a little later, which of course had a slightly negative impact on the course of the evening. Otherwise that would be the only point of criticism. The service was very nice and attentive and the waiting time for drinks was normal.

Sunday evening we were seated by the waiters. No waiter paid us any attention for 35 minutes, despite shouting several times. Conclusion: we left again after 35 minutes. Very poor performance and unfortunately we didn't know anything about Café del Sol in Hanau until that day. Very unfortunate. We won't be coming back for a while.

Since I don't care much for brunch, I don't want to rate the food. I found the atmosphere great and the service very friendly and accommodating. As you would expect, it is very busy on Sundays. If you like it quiet and relaxed, it's best to visit during the week. The coffee was very good, as was the food that was available.

The night and dinner started off well, however when my friend found plastic in her dish and mentioned that to the waiter along with the commend that the meal was nice but she was irritated that the restaurant used canned mushrooms instead of fresh ones, we were ignored for the rest of the evening. Would not recommend neither food nor service at this place.

Meals seemed to have been warmed up frozen pasta dishes combined with canned products. Service very ignorant after my friend had plastic in her food and it was brought to to attention of management.

I always come here. But the things I order always arrive late. I'm sitting here right now and they didn't bring my coffee for 23 minutes. 20-25 people sit on the terrace, but only one waiter works. I experience this all the time. Please increase the number of waiters. Thank you.

Unfortunately disappointing... We have been here regularly for years. We are aware that there is now a certain price pressure everywhere, but what is going on here cannot be justified. The quality is still good, but the massively increased prices and the ever smaller portions are no longer in proportion! The fact that the staff always gives the impression that they are understaffed or overwhelmed is one thing, but the prices, despite all understanding for these portions, are just a disgrace! Unfortunately it was probably the last time here…
