Nice location, easy parking. Understaffed at lunchtime. The service team is friendly, but there aren't enough of them to serve the place quickly. The social media team clearly studied sarcasm. :-)

We're frequent customers, both during the week and on weekends. I myself worked in a similar restaurant concept for years and am familiar with the demands and potential complications. Unfortunately, I have to say that the staff has been extremely disorganized so far. Almost immediately after we sit down, someone comes to ask for our order. Most of the time, we haven't decided yet, and after being told to come back in two minutes, we're often forgotten, and it can take 10-15 minutes before anyone even takes our order. Otherwise, the staff is usually friendly. Unfortunately, I have to say that the prices are now very high for very little. I mean, €8.50 for less than half a waffle cone with ice cream. And you can't change your order, only reduce the quantity. So you pay the same price for less. Surcharges are only calculated in full. For example: a waffle cone with ice cream and whipped cream. If you leave out the whipped cream, there's no price difference, but if you want a scoop of ice cream instead, you have to pay extra for a whole scoop instead of just the difference in price. The value for money is unfortunately poor; the food itself is good and tasty, but now far too expensive. A lemonade, a tea, and a waffle with an 8% tip cost €27.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely recommended! We went to Café del Sol in Hamm today and were totally thrilled. We ordered the Chili Cheese Fries and the Chili Cheese Burger – both were a hit. The meat was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked, the burger tasted fresh and really juicy. The Chili Cheese Fries were super crispy, hot, and very flavorful – exactly how they should be! Overall, the experience was fantastic: fresh, delicious, generously portioned, and simply excellent. We'll definitely be back! 🙌🔥

That was the last time I'll ever go there; we were just at the schnitzel restaurant! 1. I wanted a Hawaiian schnitzel, but without ham. The waitress told me that wasn't possible; management had decided that the dishes would be prepared exactly as they were listed. I understand that, but what's the problem? Removing the ham if everything is fresh? 2. Then I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel (pork), and they were able to easily remove the lemon. 3. Then I ordered another Wiener Schnitzel, this time a turkey one! It wasn't cooked through! It was very wobbly and pale. Now I'm lying here with stomach pains, vomiting, and frequent bowel movements! If it's not gone by tomorrow, I'm going to get it checked out by a doctor, and then I'll take legal action. The presentation was also completely heartless and disgusting 🤮!!!!!! I'm never going there again!

We had a wonderful visit. The food was delicious, as was the homemade lemonade. The service was very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. There's also a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which is another plus. The value for money is also good. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I was at Cafe del Sol in Hamm again this Friday evening with friends... I'm very satisfied as always... especially with the service, the staff is TOP-NOTCH... I have to praise everyone from the chef to the waiters... 👍👍👍 I can only recommend it... 👍👍 Keep it up!

I've occasionally come here for breakfast and have always been satisfied, but my last visit on a Sunday afternoon was disappointing. The place was packed and incredibly noisy. The service was very slow; no one checked on us to see if everything was alright, and it took ages for our empty plates to be cleared, even though someone walked past our table several times. We noticed that the tables next to us were also quite dissatisfied. I tried schnitzel for the first time that day, and the presentation was so unappetizing that it completely put me off. You practically had to search for the mushroom sauce on the plate. And for almost €18? Outrageous! On top of that, our order was missing a side salad. It's unacceptable that the service and quality deteriorate so drastically just because the place is full. I always like to leave a tip, but I didn't see the point that day. You're better off spending your money elsewhere. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

What a shitty place. First, you're shown to your seat, and then you have to wait 20 minutes for your drink order. The dessert contained almonds, even though I have a nut intolerance. I wanted to have the leftovers packed up, but that's not possible. Better to throw them in the trash than give them to the customer. Bad place, bad service.

I took a photo of my meal. Apparently deleted. Whatever. Did the Holliday have schnitzel? So, eat as much schnitzel as you want. I ate all the varieties. Okay. By the end, I was miserable. But it was tasty. I have to say that. The rest of the burgers and pizza were also tasty. Unfortunately, it's very loud. I don't know if it's the architecture?

The breakfast buffet was sufficient for everyone, with everything available. It was refilled regularly. The shift manager checked on it regularly. There will be another visit there.

The burger patties were frozen and overcooked. The salad was simply soggy. Charging so much for that is just outrageous. Likewise, charging €5.70 for a 0.5L glass of Sinalco. I'm happy to pay a lot for good food, but here you get inferior quality at exorbitant prices.

Very good. I eat here often with colleagues. It's a very quiet place, and we often come here during our schnitzel holidays. Everything from breakfast to dinner is there.

We wanted to have a leisurely breakfast today and arrived around 11:30 a.m. Yes, it says on the menu: breakfast "a la carte" from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. When asked about alternatives, we were told there were "country slices"... See photos. Two slices of "country bread" with lots of arugula and some hummus, two or three pieces of red onion, 10 peanuts, some feta cheese, etc. For just under eleven euros! The worst thing is basically the service and the concept. Why not just wait until 1 p.m. and be done with it? The service is abysmal. Zero emotion, zero service, zero commitment. Thank you for your attention!

I actually planned to have a nice breakfast there today, and everything looked good. There were only a handful of cars in the parking lot, and only 4-5 tables occupied inside, so it was pretty manageable. But when no one bothered to serve me a good 15 minutes after I sat down, I got up and left. It wasn't the first time this had happened to me, but it was definitely the last. I'll spend my money at another place where I get service.

We were at Café del Sol in Hamm on September 20, 2025, around 3 p.m. I ordered spare ribs with barbecue sauce. Around 3:45 p.m., a wooden board with two completely burnt spare ribs arrived, and the fries fell off the board all by themselves. I satisfied my hunger and left the fries and spare ribs behind. The so-called waitress (you could literally walk on her shoes) asked me if I liked them, and I said that I had never eaten such bad, completely burnt spare ribs in my life (68 years). To compensate, she offered us a free drink, which I accepted. When nothing had arrived after 15 minutes, my wife paid, and we left the place. At that point, I counted four waiters and, at most, 20 to 25 guests on the veranda. We were guests at this location from the very beginning. Over the years, we noticed that the quality of this establishment has steadily declined. For €19.50, I actually expect something better, and that's what I get at several other places in Hamm. Unfortunately, we drove from Geronimo on Lake Möhne to Café del Sol in Hamm for lunch. A mistake we won't make again!

I visited there for lunch on Wednesday, September 17th. I ordered the food myself using the QR code at my table. It worked perfectly and was prepared quickly.

The schnitzels are really bad. As I've already admitted, they're frozen to ensure consistent quality. When a paring line is set up, a proper schnitzel takes about a minute longer. The quality isn't consistent, but it's always better than frozen. Frozen food is out of place at that price! My schnitzel only had a small amount of sauce. The Coke was full of ice and still not carbonated. The food doesn't get a star. However, the service and atmosphere are impressive.

We've been there several times and have been completely satisfied every time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food and drinks are plentiful, and the prices are absolutely fair. The selection of vegan options is also worth mentioning. The service staff is friendly. We'll be happy to come back.

1 star because parking is free, the drinks are decent, and the location itself is nice. The food (schnitzel with mushrooms, fries, and a small salad) is almost inedible. You can choke down the schnitzel if you scrape down the packet sauce. But it's definitely industrially produced and not fresh. The mushrooms are overcooked, and the sauce is definitely from a packet. The salad consists of wilted leaves and half a cocktail tomato. Probably also dressing, but since we didn't try the "salad," I can't say for sure. There are plenty of seats outside, but since smoking is allowed everywhere, non-smokers and pregnant women end up sitting among all the unhealthy smoke. The chairs are incredibly uncomfortable and only suitable for slim people. There are a few benches in the middle, though, where you're completely surrounded by smoke. Inside, there are various tables and chairs, so there's a suitable seating option for every body shape. The waitress was quite nice. But the "management" was terrible. Good service staff is hard to find. Since we'll never visit Del Sol again, they should just keep their staff. Luckily, there are other places where you can sit better, get nicer treatment, and the food is worth the money.

Very, very bad service. I ordered something from the summer menu: potatoes with a mildly spicy sauce. I have no idea what was spicy about it, but it was definitely too spicy, and I'm not usually that picky about that. I didn't even touch the food after two bites. Everyone else at the table had tried it and agreed. In any other restaurant, you at least get some of the price refunded, or you have the option to order something else and not pay for the old dish. No, I would have simply paid for both if I had ordered again. A no-go. The blame is shifted onto the customer; everyone's tastes are different, blah blah blah, for one person it's spicy, for another it's not. The menu didn't even say it was supposed to be a spicy dish! Maybe the owner should send their chefs to another cooking class so they can understand the difference between hot and spicy. If any of the waiters had tried the food, they would 100% have said the same thing I did. I worked in the restaurant industry for four years myself, and whenever something happened, the customer was definitely king. Apparently, they're not interested in keeping customers coming back. It's not my fault if the chef seems to drop the chili spice into the pan. Money wasted so the food ends up in the trash, and you leave a restaurant hungry. I haven't been this angry in a long time. 15 minutes of arguing with the waiters for nothing.

I think the burger was prepared two days before and served to me today; it was really cold, the bread was cold and it wasn't fresh at all.

The waitress was so rude. I was there with my girlfriend. She simply took my empty bottle without asking if I wanted anything else. She cleared my empty plate even though my girlfriend was still eating. That's unacceptable.

The food was terrible. I had the schnitzel dish. The side salad consisted only of lettuce leaves and a single cherry tomato with no dressing. The schnitzel looked like a frozen schnitzel with too much breading and not enough meat. Instead of around €20, it should have cost €10. The quality of the food made me feel like I was in a university cafeteria.

Disappointing visit... Our visit to Café del Sol Hamm was unfortunately anything but satisfactory. There were four of us there, but the chaos began as soon as the drinks arrived: Three out of four people received their drinks relatively quickly, while the fourth arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, the food delivery continued in a similar fashion – one person received their dish much earlier, while the others had to wait another 10 minutes. This is not only uncoordinated, but also unpleasant if you want to eat together. They offered to keep the salad warm in the meantime, but this wasn't in our best interest! We needed new scissors for a pinsa – they promised, but they never arrived. After serving, no one from the service team was seen again. Overall, the visit was disappointing, especially because it was clear that the lack wasn't a lack of friendliness, but rather a lack of organization and attentiveness.

Delicious Sunday brunch in a pleasant atmosphere.

It's a nice place to sit and meet people. Especially in summer, the large terrace offers plenty of space and plenty of tables. Decorated in an American style, it has a lovely atmosphere. The servers were always very attentive, and the food was delicious and affordable. The breakfast was very filling and is highly recommended!

Unfortunately, the wait staff are often too busy and either don't notice you, or they forget about you because the next guest wants something. 🙈 Otherwise, everyone was very nice and the food was delicious. 👍🏼

Today, I was unfortunately very dissatisfied with my visit to Café Del Sol. I tried calling a member of the service staff three times – without success. It wasn't until the fourth attempt that someone finally came, but the staff member seemed very annoyed, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Although the items at the table were cleared properly, the way the guests were treated left a lot to be desired. Friendliness and attentiveness are simply part of good service – especially when guests have to ask for help multiple times. I hope this was an isolated incident, but unfortunately, the way I felt today made guests feel unwelcome.

Update: Unfortunately, a very unpleasant incident occurred last week!!! I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail and received the same cocktail, but with alcohol!!! Absolutely no-go, folks! Luckily, I'm neither an alcoholic nor pregnant, but that could have ended badly!! Absolutely unacceptable. Apparently, the bartender didn't tell the waitress. 🥴🙄😲 Great location. Especially great in the summer when you can sit outside on the terrace. Whether it's the a la carte menu or the brunch/breakfast buffet, it's always worth going there for dinner. The service is attentive and fast. The price/performance ratio is just right!

We wanted to celebrate a friend's birthday here today. We were all really looking forward to it, but left in a really bad mood. Both the staff and the quality of the food have declined so rapidly that we're seriously considering whether we want to come back. The burger patties were cold, and the fries were just as cold. We continued to watch (we had plenty of time to observe the surroundings because we were bored, waiting for the waiters) as the food sat on the counter for what felt like 20 minutes until the waiters finally ended their conversation and one of them handed out the food. Sad... we used to like Café del Sol.

We sat outside. Service was okay, but the portions were rather small compared to another Del Sol. The crowd was very loud. Smoking is permitted anywhere outside, which is disruptive while dining. The restrooms were dirty.

A lava cake should always be served warm, but unfortunately, that's a foreign concept here; I've never eaten a lava cake this hard and cold. 0/10.

A Spanish-Mexican style restaurant. The food and also the cocktails are super delicious. You have to wait a little while preparing the food, but it is super tasty. We really enjoy eating there. The ambience is awesome. You can sit outside, blankets are spread out or you can sit comfortably inside. A beautifully designed bar completes the whole thing. I recommend the restaurant. 5/5 stars.

We went for brunch. It was very crowded and there was initially a lot of crowding for the food. Their selection is diverse. There is something for everyone.

On April 22, 2025 around 5 p.m. we had dinner there for my birthday. That day I was really looking forward to a veggie burger, which I already knew and had enjoyed eating so far. When I was served the burger, I immediately noticed that it looked different than usual. When I asked, the waiter confirmed that it was the veggie burger. I tried a bite and immediately noticed that the taste was noticeably different too. After a brief discussion with the waiter, he finally admitted that the patty had changed - although this was not indicated in the menu. I pointed out to him that I didn't like it and asked to speak to the boss. He initially claimed to be the boss himself and continued to argue with me instead of offering a solution. Finally, he used his private cell phone to call an alleged superior, a woman AYO? AVO? . On the phone she told me the burger was actually new. I explained that I was disappointed - especially since it was my birthday that day and I was pregnant and wanted to eat with you. Unfortunately, the lady on the phone didn't offer me an accommodating solution either. Instead of a replacement burger, I was only suggested a coffee or a dessert - neither of which was helpful to me because I was hungry and had come specifically for the burger. I told her she would lose us as customers and her answer was " I wouldn't have a problem with that. " I will never eat there again. I find it a great pity that changes to dishes are not dealt with openly and transparently and that as a guest with a legitimate concern you are dealt with in this way - especially on a special day for me.

It was a nice breakfast, with everything you could want. Nothing was missing. The rolls were exceptionally good. Gladly again.

Today we had Easter brunch with several people. Unfortunately there wasn't even juice for children at the buffet, which is to be expected for €20. We had my grandmother with us, who suffers from dementia and only ate a roll and we were asked to pay the full price of €20. Which we found outrageous because we had previously been told on the phone that you didn't have to pay the full price for it. After a long discussion with the shift manager, we paid for a children's buffet. The service was very friendly.

We went to Cafe Del Sol for the first time today and were very satisfied. We ordered a breakfast platter for 2 people, which included 2 croissants, 2 dark and 2 light rolls and all the cold cuts, which we took a photo of. We have a zsm with our child. Had breakfast and it was more than enough for us. We ordered three drinks, a latte macchiato with syrup, a coffee and a warm cocoa. In total we paid around €35 ​​for 3 people. The price-performance ratio was more than great and the staff was also very friendly and kept asking whether everything was OK and whether there was anything else that could be done.

The ambiance is inviting at first glance, but the seating arrangement was based on the motto "as many tables as possible." I felt like I was sitting shoulder to shoulder with another guy. I ordered a regular burger, and let's be honest, if I wanted to eat hard rubber, I could have just bitten into my car's tire. Service was good.

I ordered an ice chocolate and an ice cream café, in the end I got an ice cream café which was hot and I was told that they don't have a café, and in my ice chocolate there was no chocolate but only milk!

We ate there after we were at the zoo in Hamm. Got a sunny spot on the terrace. Waitress was friendly and considerate. However, she was solely responsible for the terrace, but was still friendly and a guest can be expected to be patient these days if she does what she can. Because the circumstance is least her fault; on the contrary, she suffers the most from it of all those involved. We'll definitely come back.

Unfriendly and slow employees. Sometimes they don't understand your language. Accordingly, you don't get served what you ordered or it's missing entirely. Questions are answered harshly and condescendingly. Shift manager (little lady) was equally unfriendly and overwhelmed even though the store wasn't fully staffed. No accomodation, no apology, even though there was a table of 10 people and since not everyone received the food they ordered, the mood was over. Never again from Sol Hamm. There are definitely better branches in the area!

I have often visited Café del Sol in Hamm in the past, but unfortunately my visit today disappointed me. My companion and I each ordered a Belgian waffle for 8.50 euros, expecting to receive a freshly made waffle. Instead, we received a sugar wafer, which you can buy in the supermarket for 2.50 euros for 10 pieces. When the friendly waitress asked about our satisfaction, I brought up both the price and the quality of the product served. Her explanation that purchasing the product was expensive did not alleviate my disappointment, especially when she pointed out that the quality of the waffles was supposedly better than those in the supermarket. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any difference in quality and therefore found the price to be unreasonable and excessive. I understand that staff, rent and food costs have increased, but this experience was still unsatisfactory. I would have liked a more professional exchange in terms of value for money and the handling of criticism. In the future I will visit other restaurants first, what a shame!

I wanted to test one of my colleague's schnitzels because I'm unsure about turkey meat. I don't eat pork and I'm not interested in vegan. And I think turkey rarely tastes good. The lady said I wasn't allowed because there had been certain incidents in the past. My idea was to leave it standing so I could test a small piece. If I had liked it, I would order it straight away. But it wasn't allowed either. If my colleague had offered me a small piece and I got caught, I would have to pay for it in full. Then ordered something else, but oh well. Never go to Cafe del Sol again.

The restaurant is currently being renovated/rebuilt, so the terrace is open but in progress. The brunch buffet was very extensive and very appetizing. We had to wait a little longer for the drinks but it was also pretty full and the waitresses had to keep running out... Otherwise everything was great. (Despite the renovation work, the terrace was heated!)

Very tasty, friendly service. Good portions, but fries like McDonald's... Update. Casa del Sol wrote to me and wanted to know why I wasn't 100% satisfied. I thought it was clear, but here again - fries like McDonald's. That doesn't mean I was dissatisfied, but you can get fries like this at every McD or Burger King. Honestly, I've eaten better fries at any fast food joint.
