We were at Café del Sol again on Saturday, and I was thrilled again!! Great atmosphere! The professional staff is quick and super friendly, and the drinks and food are colorful, fresh, and delicious. All in all, a dining experience like you rarely find these days! Bravo!! Below is my review from 3 years ago. So, still an experience!! Thank you all!!! Stylish, unique decor, very nice manager! We sat outside today. There were only 12 guests in the entire restaurant at that time, including the 8 of us. The waitress came to us promptly and took our order, and our drinks arrived quickly and in full. The food then followed quickly and, unfortunately, was mostly incorrect. Wrong sauces, wrong side dishes, but this was quickly corrected after consultation. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre throughout: the chicken wings were small and dry, the fries were completely oversalted, and the pasta dishes lacked flavor. In our opinion, it wasn't much better than good takeaway food. I simply expect better quality for the price. The burgers were OK, but nothing more. Overall, unfortunately, the food was just mediocre, which, despite the restaurant being almost completely full, was incorrect and expensive. The ambiance was good, and the service was nice and friendly. But we definitely won't be coming back. What a shame.

Oh, we had a delicious breakfast with two small children. The staff was very, very friendly. We had breakfast for two, plus waffles, and we were more than satisfied. We'd love to go back.

We were here for breakfast. The buffet food was delicious and varied, including many vegetarian and vegan options. The servers were very attentive and consistently friendly. The only downside is the ambiance. The café is busy, and with so many guests, the main room feels a bit like a train station concourse. The decor itself is very cozy, though. There are many different options for eating, from chairs to couches. All in all, we'd happily come back.

Went there today with a group. We had chili con carne. Unfortunately, it was very salty. The other people's dishes weren't that great either. Nobody can do anything about the loud atmosphere.

We were there today with a group of 10 people to celebrate a milestone birthday. I had the schnitzel with mushrooms, fries, and a side salad. We had a really nice, sweet waitress who was happy to accommodate our requests. The shock (unfortunately) came with the food... Frozen schnitzel from the deep fryer, unseasoned fries (really just yellow, no salt, no seasoning at all), and a side salad with lettuce and a halved cherry tomato. No attention to detail or anything else at all, a real shame about the great location. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Once again, we enjoyed the fantastic breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. A wonderful start to our vacation. It makes you wonder if you're only going to Denmark to enjoy the breakfast buffet there. 😜 Booking a table during the travel season is recommended. This year, we decided to avoid the travel chaos and headed north on a Monday. The only downside was that there was no brunch or breakfast buffet at Café de Sol. So we opted for the "All Summer Long" breakfast (drinks not included). Everything was great, a great start to our vacation. The service was very friendly, as always.

Nice service, great atmosphere, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely out of whack! A double espresso macchiato for almost €7 is simply not up to date. There are better places where the prices are justified by the view or location. Maybe that's also the reason why there's nothing going on there anymore, which is a shame. ...with these prices, you'll think twice! Where you can just have an espresso.

The food doesn't taste good. The burgers are frozen. I would have been better off eating at McDonald's. At least the burgers are freshly made there and the staff is friendly. The lasagna was also extremely oily and runny, so I couldn't finish it.

**Restaurant Review – Good Service, but Unfriendly Shift Manager** The food was delicious, and Emily's service was very good – she was friendly, attentive, and really made an effort. Unfortunately, the positive impression was marred by the shift manager. The reason was: the hot dishes were only temporarily refilled for an hour. He was notified several times. His interactions with guests were unfriendly and almost disrespectful. Such rude behavior has no place in the restaurant industry and is detrimental to the restaurant. It's a shame, because otherwise the visit was okay. I would visit the restaurant again because of the friendly service, but if the shift manager continues to be so rude, I can't recommend it. There is definitely room for improvement here!

I spontaneously stopped by for dinner today while waiting for my car service at Audi. I didn't have a reservation and was seated right away. The food was great, didn't take long to arrive, and tasted delicious. The team was also very friendly and took good care of me! I'd be happy to come back :)

The food was okay, but nothing more. Some of the ingredients were cheap and the taste was unspectacular in most dishes.

Lots of space, also suitable for larger groups. 180 seats outside and around 200 inside. The pinsas are simply delicious and really recommended. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. Would love to come back. During this visit I tried the schnitzel and burgers again, also absolutely delicious, and a tomato soup as a starter (be careful when it was hot). Thank you for the lovely evening.

I had a Caesar salad, and most of the leaves were brown. I mentioned it, and there was no response other than to let the kitchen know...I couldn't even eat half of my salad. I had to pay the full price.

The atmosphere is pleasant, quiet, and cozy. It's a shame that breakfast is no longer available at 11:30 a.m. – at least, that's what I heard from the waitress. My dish was unfortunately too salty.

Café Del Sol in Flensburg is always a solid choice! I was particularly impressed by the "Schnitzel del Sol" – perfectly prepared, juicy, and with a crispy coating. A highlight is the "Schnitzel Holiday" promotion, which offers a fantastic selection of creative schnitzel variations – there's truly something for every taste. The ample on-site parking also makes a visit completely stress-free. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff perfectly round out the experience. You simply feel at home here and enjoy every dish to the fullest.

We spontaneously went there late yesterday afternoon (Friday, June 6th). There were still plenty of seats available. We started with a baguette with aioli – incredibly delicious. Then we had schnitzel with mushroom sauce, fries, and a small salad – it was incredibly tasty and plentiful. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy ❗️ The staff is super attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed it there. The other guests' dishes looked really good too. We'll definitely be back...photos to follow 😅

The wait times for food aren't fair when you see what's on your plate. It's also loud and expensive, and not a particularly pleasant place to be. The great thing, though, is that you can park for free at the Fördepark almost next door.

A really family friendly place with a cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices. The food is delicious, especially the schnitzel with potatoes and mushroom sauce I can really recommend. The staff is nice, and it's a good place to go with both children and friends.

We're regulars at Café del Sol. That's thanks to the great ambiance, whether inside or outside, and the friendly and very attentive waitresses. The food has always been mediocre. However, in my opinion, this is compensated for by the relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, I probably won't be coming back for a while. On Sunday, I confirmed once again: don't order a salad. The price-performance ratio is almost zero. The fries were wobbly and therefore more lukewarm than warm. The burger was so-so..... I would say that the quality of the food is absolutely not up to scratch. As I said, we're regulars here and have ordered everything. Best choice: Pinsa! That should definitely improve. I won't be back for at least a year, so hopefully I won't be disappointed again.

The staff is nice and friendly. However, there's no reason to eat at this restaurant! Burger King is across the street, and it's definitely better! The schnitzel (frozen) was ruined in the hairdryer, and the potato dish with salad was inedible and had to be returned. The owner was present, but not available to speak. Definitely not recommended.

Friendly, happy atmosphere, Then the sun rises. During weekday afternoons, it's easy to get a seat and the entertainment is unrestricted. On busy weekends it can be difficult to communicate. But when the weather is good there are plenty of places outside, with a cozy torchlight atmosphere in the evenings.

Schnitzel was a bit very thin and small. And when I drive almost 800 km to Flensburg and then get a beer from Hesse, that's really macabre. Why not beer from the beautiful north? For example Flensburg. It would be an option. Otherwise top service very good👍

I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel with fries and salad. The food came after 20 minutes. BUT: unfortunately the fries were already cold and not crispy, and the schnitzel was unfortunately only lukewarm. Very disappointing for the price. I don't think I'll order this dish anymore and eat it somewhere else It's a shame, I was looking forward to a delicious schnitzel...

Went there for brunch for the first time, the people were all very nice and friendly. I wish there was more choice of food, but there was very little. But otherwise everything was great, I can highly recommend it!!!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. We were at your place for brunch on Easter Monday. The drink order was taken quickly by the waitress “Kiki”. The second star for service is only because of their friendly service. She was super nice and competent. For her alone 5/5 top The buffet is the reason for the bad rating. There were just a lot of dishes empty. I can understand that with dishes that take some time to prepare, but not with cheese and sausage platters. They have to be prepared in the kitchen and just be pushed in. That was very, very annoying. Unfortunately, scrambled eggs, bacon and other dishes were often not available. Essential things, such as cutlery, were also sometimes out of place. In my opinion, these are things that simply shouldn't happen. The payment was unproblematic.

The waitress is at the counter the whole time, chatting heartily with her colleagues. I had ordered another wine but that's not so important. I looked for a long time until she remembered how she saw me. I shouted from the table that I no longer wanted to pay. That wasn't that interesting so we got up to pay. Unfortunately I didn't want a bill otherwise I would have seen that she had charged the wine and an extra €1. So the tip we usually give if the service is good. And not flippant. But the food was delicious.

However, I would like to say one thing: your friendly and customer-oriented behavior saved our evening and didn't let us take a bad impression home with us. “Absolute disaster! My partner and I decided on a 'salad', which was a decent price at almost €16 - and what did we get? A few green leaves and a ridiculous 100g of chicken. No love, no extras, nothing that would somehow justify the price. When we brought this up politely, we were stared at non-stop as we ate and it was obvious that we were being talked about. We have rarely had such an unpleasant feeling in a restaurant. For that price we would have gotten a decent menu somewhere else – never again!”

We wanted to enjoy a nice meal together for my friend's 18th birthday, but we weren't expecting this meal. The food was already cooled down to room temperature when we got it. The food was served without any real topics, but the service was nice. Not recommended.

I have to admit that Café del Sol has crept back into my heart. I went there a few years ago for dinner during the week as well as for brunch on the weekend. I was absolutely not impressed at the time, poor service, food (schnitzel holiday) was still frozen. BUT last year I spontaneously had breakfast with a friend and we exchanged the food, quality and service and absolutely recommended it. I've been there several times since then and can say it's now on my menu again!

The Cafe Del Sol restaurant is rustic in terms of ambience, a comparatively very large restaurant, with many seating options, including leather rubber. Furry friends have to stay outside... the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was uniquely good with generous portions. There are plenty of free parking spaces and numerous shopping opportunities nearby.

Good morning, We recently went to the restaurant with a group of 10 hungry boys to treat ourselves to a real schnitzel holiday. We received a warm welcome and were immediately assigned our tables, then ordered drinks straight away and waited for our first round of schnitzel. After the 4 round Schnitzel, 7 of our boys were still in the running for the title from Schnitzel König (internal award). After round 7 things got exciting 1 vs 1 which was won with 9 schnitzels in the end. Towards the end, not only did our boys run out of breath, but apparently the kitchen also ran out of steam. Unfortunately, there were 1-2 schnitzels that weren't completely cooked through, but given the number of schnitzels we devoured, that wasn't a problem for us. The service is terrible! There are 5 people from the staff behind the counter, chatting animatedly and brilliantly ignoring the guests! When she finally took the order (after we asked her whether it was self-service or service), the waitress said: "That's easy" and yet she had ordered one too many meals, there was no dressing on the salad, there was no ketchup... I was brought food but no cutlery, fries and burgers were cold! Absolutely terrible service!

The brunch itself was okay. The food was good, there was plenty of it, but it was replenished quite late. The pancake and waffle station was not permanently occupied, so as a guest you have to wait quite a long time to be served there. The table was full of plates and unfortunately the service staff didn't clear up until late. Table trash cans would also be recommended. The open structure makes it seem very cluttered and disorganized. Some of the actually warm dishes were cold and it was ready-made food, such as the potato gratin - it didn't taste good. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the drinks. I've had better experiences before, which was a shame.

The Cafe del Sol at FördePark in FL is a beautiful, nicely decorated Mediterranean restaurant. The food and drinks menu is great. Prices are completely reasonable in my opinion.

Four of us had dinner there on a Saturday. The service was very friendly and on point. We didn't have to wait long for the drinks. And the food came quite quickly too. These were very attractively prepared and tasted very good. We almost only ordered vegetarian/vegan dishes. The selection was plentiful. Visually a very pleasant restaurant with a good selection of drinks and dishes. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our food and were then disappointed by the value for money. Both in terms of portion size and quality. At least the service staff was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, based on other reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated case, so my recommendation: Useful for chatting with friends over a drink, but you should go elsewhere for food.

Garbage that is nicely packaged. Prices way too high. A burger like you get in a fast food chain WITHOUT a side dish for €10 and then burned. The food portions themselves are much too small. We waited over an hour for the food and it was lukewarm.

Hello everyone, The food in Cafe Del Sol Flensburg is delicious, but as a grown man I simply can't get enough of the portions in this restaurant. I've tried it three times now with different dishes. Of course it always depends on the person, but I don't have that problem in other restaurants, so I wouldn't go here again for the reason mentioned, even if I liked it. I think it's good that reviews are addressed here, even though I know that unfortunately there can't be any improvement in mine. All in all, a cozy shop with friendly staff. Even without a reservation, I managed to get a seat on a busy Sunday morning, outside, but not too bad. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and drinks orders are taken quickly. However, the buffet is somehow very dark (the whole room), and the arrangement of the food is without a system (everything is placed all over the place).

Update October 3rd, 2024 Today was the day when we definitely won't be visiting Café de Sol again for a long time. The greeting was very unusually cool, and we were then shown the reserved table, but there is a different way to be friendly. The employee who served as a service person for the area was friendly, the drink order was taken quickly and the drinks were served and then nothing else happened to us. Orders were placed at neighboring tables. We weren't asked. The employee then disappeared outside and was never seen again. After 45 minutes, another employee (from the beginning) took the order at the next table and after we had called in, we also took it. By this time the table of four had already had their drinks and appetizers. The next table and other tables received their food, and everyone arrived and arrived. I forgot to mention that the actual service person then briefly confirmed that our colleague had eaten our food. After another 20 minutes he asked the next table if everything was OK. When we asked about our food, he looked at his terminal, listed our order and said that he would ask in the kitchen. But instead of asking in the kitchen, he went to a table of 6 and took the order. I first asked him and then the other colleague how far the food was. The colleague also wanted to take care of it. We then received the answer that our food would be prepared after about 1:20 hours. Because we had another appointment that evening. We didn't wait any longer. At least they showed understanding that we didn't pay for the drinks. A lot of things may have been unfortunate, but we never experienced that in all our years there. We had planned the hour and a half as a nice start to the evening... it didn't work out. Too bad... I once gave four stars: Always good. Breakfast buffet on Saturday was very good. Staff friendly and attentive. But it's always good to have a coffee or a warm meal.

We ordered a table by the window 6 weeks in advance, even though there was a free table there, we got the smallest table in the middle of the restaurant, the cola tasted stale, almost no carbonation, the food came after 40 minutes and was cold, that's not possible ☹️, I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Even one star is too much for the store. I've never bothered to rate a store in any way. I come from the catering industry myself and it's an absolute disgrace that the shop is even running because I still remember how beautiful it used to be here. That's why I gave the store one last chance, even though I was completely dissatisfied the last three times. The shift management first put us in a corner where it was extremely narrow and when I asked if they had another place we were initially told no. After I asked the question for the third time and said that we would otherwise leave, we got a decent seat, which meant we didn't hit the guests at the back every time we moved the chair. I had a burger and my mom had a salad. There was pineapple in her salad even though it's not on the menu. When it comes to fruit from the session, I don't understand pineapple in October either. My burger was so cold and the patty was so burnt that you really couldn't eat it. Then I brought the burger back and wanted a new one. (Because no one came to ask) then Nicola came after 20 minutes and was the only one who cared at all and asked if everything was okay. I returned the burger to the shift manager and no one took care of it. I saw how all the other tables received their food. Nicola then took care of it - many thanks to you - then my second burger came. I really don't understand how you can send a burger like that as a chef. The bread is completely cold, so no one can tell me that it didn't come straight from the package onto the burger. The cheese wasn't melted and and and. Really lovely cafe del sol team. You can't reduce your performance that much. For example, I also saw from next door how they sent a burger back once because they didn't want bacon, which is what they said, and a second time they got a burger with bacon. We were there recently for breakfast. At first we wanted to sit outside, but the music was so loud that we decided to take a table in the restaurant. The tables were dirty and the employees didn't try hard. Our used plates were not cleared away until the end. Although the breakfast buffet is offered until 1 p.m. on Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. there was no more cream cheese, no Nutella or a similar chocolate spread and later no fruit. Nothing was refilled either. We were put off with the fact that “there was still something we could do” about the bill. In the end, the costs of €3.40 for the small water were generously waived. The €20.90 p. P. without drinks are absolutely not worth it. We won't be coming back.

It's a bit of a shame that a larger chain doesn't offer a selection of gluten-free foods. Not even the fries are gluten free. It's a shame.
