Uns war nicht bewusst, dass es sich um das ehemalige „4Cani“ handelt…, hui, was waren wir lange nicht mehr da… Wir wurden sehr positiv überrascht! Erst mal zu „unserer“ Servicekraft: Unfassbar freundliche, aufmerksame Person (wir wissen nicht, wie sie heißt…, sie kommt aus Paraguay). Sie versteht wirklich ihren Job, sowohl menschlich, wie auch fachlich! Und nun zum Genuss: Von den Austern, über den „Gambas Pil Pil“, dem „Tuna-Tataki“ bis zum Kalbsfilet, dem Black Angus Steak und den Trüffelpommes ein absoluter Genuss! Und dann zum Schluss, eine Crème Brûlée, wie wir sie noch nie gesehen haben (auf einem flachen Teller serviert mit mega viel Zuckerkruste) - Hammer!!! Wir haben nicht damit gerechnet, an diesem Abend so gut zu essen, nachdem wir in unseren ursprünglich ausgewählten französischen Restaurants keinen Tisch mehr bekommen haben. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Danke, für den perfekten Abend!

A great brasserie with a great and unusual menu.. The portions are large and correspond to the price performance. The atmosphere is very appealing and the service was friendly. Tip: Be sure to try fish soup

The service is not acceptable for this price-performance ratio. The location is extremely attractive, in one of the most sought-after districts of Cologne. The ambience also stands out, the food and coffee are prepared almost perfectly. However, the guests are guided to their seats without a word and have to wait quite a long time for the menus (which, by the way, are also handed out without a word). The waitress comes after 20 minutes and looks at you without saying a word. You are not wished “bon appetit”. A no go in gastronomy! After the guests pay the bill, the employees don't even say goodbye. I don't think you have to be a verbal acrobat, but the basics of communication are still part of it. You can build on that, right? Unfortunately, this is very weak and not justifiable to customers.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking through the city. We wanted to grab something to eat and it looked nice. It was a big menu, but everything tasted fresh. We ordered 'Sommer Bowl' with tofu, the 'Cheeseburger Monaco' and a steak (children's portion). It was all delicious and the waitress was very friendly. Our son enjoyed his steak, which was cooked perfectly.

A waiter in this place was insulting and swearing at LGBTQ people by saying ‘disgusting faggots (geys) were walking for pride around here’. So rude and disturbing! Not humanistic. I never go there again.

Nice atmosphere and really good location. But the service on the day we went there was a bit faulty. I order the lava cake and after waiting for more than 20 min, a Creme Brule arrived. So I mentioned it wasn't my order and had to wait 20 more minutes for the correct one to reach the table. It happened again with something else we requested, among other small details. I found the food to be a bit pricy, but the place and the staff was nice!

There are better things in life!

We ate at Café de Paris with nine people. I really liked the ambience until the light went out at 7pm. It was too dark in our corner, but that's the only criticism. Starting with the service, which was really top. We never had to wait long to order and the drinks came quickly. We also received professional feedback on our questions about individual dishes. But most importantly, of course, the food was perfect. The portion size is definitely sufficient and everything was prepared to perfection. In my opinion, the slightly higher price level is justified. I can only recommend Café de Paris!

Had a very good impression at first, however, after we were shown to a table, we were ignored for a long time and also had to wait an unusually long time for our drinks, even though there wasn't much going on and the three waiters we could see were just milling around stood. We then decided not to eat there.

Absolutely not recomended. A bald waiter was insulting LGBTQ people by saying 'Last week disgusting faggots were on the street around here walking for pride.' This place has to review its policies. Very disturbing.

A nice little stop for lunch, friendly and accommodating staff. Salad a great choice with a glass of white wine. A little pricy but a good experience overall.

We ate there for the first time yesterday. We are very excited 😊 The service is top and fast. The service is also super, very friendly. The food is just a dream and incredibly delicious and I can only recommend it. And you don't have to wait long for your food. We had Benedicte which was great and simply delicious, and Florentine just as delicious 😋 For drinks we had Paris Chocolat Macchiato Simply to recommend. We didn't reserve a table but we were lucky and got a seat. Better reserve a table :) We'll definitely be back 😊

There were two of us on Saturday evening. Food is not cheap, but very tasty. Unfortunately the service staff didn't pay any attention to us. We had to actively speak to the waiter to order. And then unfortunately it always took forever until we got our order. Sometimes we waited half an hour for a drink! And the store wasn't fully staffed. The same thing when we asked for the bill. Even when the drinks were empty, this was completely ignored. Unfortunately very poor performance for the price-performance ratio.

The three of us had breakfast here. The food was okay, but overall a very negative impression was experienced due to the impossible business policies and the obviously toxic work environment that employees are exposed to by management. Example of this: Unfortunately, no glass of water was served with the espresso. When we asked, the waitress told us that the management would expressly forbid this and that she would otherwise get into trouble. The otherwise really nice woman was obviously completely intimidated by her superiors. Apart from that: Anyone who calls themselves "Café de Paris" should at least be able to serve decent coffee. We definitely won't come back.

Disaster and very outrageous in form, I have never seen such behavior before I went to the store with my girlfriend and waited there. Nobody served us or gave us a seat. 5 minutes later there was a free table and we sat down. Then a little man came and told us that he had to clean the table first (we were already sitting) and after he finally cleaned the table he told us very rudely that we were leaving the table should…never again Now I know why I was last in this café two years ago Never again

I haven't had a better crème brûlée than there, not even in Paris. Salmon fried to perfection, extremely intense and juicy, I'm happy to drive 60 km there👌

The coffee was delicious 😋, we didn't eat.

Nice atmosphere. Beautiful covered outside patio. Good wine . Unfortunately the service was a bit inattentive, hence the star deduction. See you next time :-) The breakfast can be highly recommended.

The food was fine but overpriced. I enjoyed my eggs and croissant but it was nothing special. My friend did not enjoy his Croque sandwich at all. You’re paying more for an upscale atmosphere. The service was friendly but quite slow.

I was very disappointed. Service was totally overwhelmed, endless waiting times, expensive, unjustified price. Coffee in the saucer, dirty dishes are not taken away. If nothing fits and you pay too much for it, the first impression is the end of it.

Great location and very friendly service. The coffee is okay and the cake is okay too. You can do it if you are nearby if you want to enjoy the location. We haven't tried the main courses yet.

We went for brunch on Monday morning. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service was polite and attentive! The dishes were brought very quickly and they were very tasty. Especially Lillet - he was incredible. We recommend you try it. Queues are also very frequent, because the restaurant is usually full. We also once spontaneously decided to visit a restaurant on Saturday. Fortunately, we waited only 10 minutes and got a table on the terrace. Therefore, it is better to reserve a place so as not to wait at the entrance without a reservation. Thank you for our wonderful brunch We will definitely be back!

The rating probably won't be of much use, there were two of us there today and wanted to eat and drink something on the terrace. Waiter only came with the menu after 20 minutes, after we had to ask him several times. Afterwards we were no longer noticed. After another 20 minutes we left. We like to go to Café de Paris, we like to eat the creme brulee and the espresso is great. Unfortunately the service on 07/06/24 was a disaster.

Very catastrophic. First of all, very bad service, not only that you have to queue outside for ages until someone comes out to serve you. Specially it is a Willi important store without perfect performance, it is to be expected that in such a store the performance of Cuattro Cani can be achieved when it sells itself so expensively. You should, if you're going to go for it, then you should do it right. So in summary, bad, catastrophic, lazy and by far the worst reception service for a store like this in all of Cologne. Therefore not worth further recommendation😊

pretentious, yet lacking quality french food and trying to appeal to more customers by adding dishes from the Basque and Belgium which are not all french, but still market as a french restaurant (as if people are ignorant). Also service is bad, from waiters take a long time to ask you what you want, even when the place was not full, to charging you for little things they asked you if you want (as if the waiters are trying to pull as much money as they can!!) to include a tip/service on the bill. I happily paid my bill, as their behavior was intentional and not an error or mistake and there was no point to even raise the concern with the manager, it is a systematic approach (and they are pretentious!) to "pull" as much as possible from customers thinking that this is a fancy place and people wouldn't mind, however, this is just a cafe and not one of the top you can find. I will definitely never go back and I feel responsible to provide an honest review being someone who has traveled all over Europe.

Very unfriendly and bad service. Waiters are also somewhat racist, people with different skin colors are served slower than others or not at all. I was very uncomfortable and ignored. The waiter was aggressive and arrogant. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Luckily, there are many other places where you feel more comfortable and safe. It's just sad to experience something like that in a city like Cologne. The poor employees may also be taken advantage of by the owner because they treat their guests so inhumanely and behave in an uncivilized manner.

There were 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. Three waitresses didn't even bother to bring us the menu. We waited, waited, waited... We had to get up before we could order. Congratulations to those who gave a high score for the ability to order and eat 👎

Food was very tasty! Fresh and skillfully prepared. One point deducted from the service because it was really busy and stressful. Was. Understand when there is a lot going on, but do everything with decency, courtesy and respect. We'd love to come back!

Very tasty breakfast for two people (vegetarian version)

We spontaneously came for breakfast on Sunday morning without a reservation. They still found a nice place for us (5 people). But it would probably be better to reserve. The service was great! The food was original and very tasty. I would like to highlight the service. The ladies were really accommodating. I would come back at any time.

After the European Championship game we were guests in your restaurant. After waiting five minutes in front of the entrance as ordered and not being picked up (as stated on the sign), we went out on our own and looked for a place. After a while, an extremely friendly, polite brown-haired woman served us young lady, we ordered the food, it took almost 45 minutes until we had it, unfortunately the starter we ordered never arrived. The food was very tasty - nothing to complain about. When I wanted to pay the bill with the card, the young server three asked me What amount she should enter, in the meantime my companion gave her a tip of 5 euros. Suddenly she made such a face, literally THROPPED my card on the table in front of me and ran away without saying a word. Never experienced anything like that! We and the next table were flabbergasted! Employees like that should be fired immediately, they ruin the whole business! It's a shame...

Messy and the hostess not very cheerful and wanted to do everything herself. Staff was nice. Never again

Had a visitor from Switzerland. We wanted to end the evening with a drink. We passed the busy cafe. There were a few tables still available, both inside and outside. As requested, we stood at the sign and waited. It should be that way too. But after waiting about 5 minutes. Although two cellars passed directly in front of us several times, we were ignored. Schade had told the visitor how cool it is in Cologne. That wasn't the Cologne style that we usually know. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food.

Salad for 17.90, mini portion and unspectacular if you were used to the chicken salad from 4cani! If you want bread with your salad you can get it for 2.50! Never again

Ambience is really good. We had dinner in the evening and there was nothing missing. It's not exactly the cheapest restaurant but it's money really well spent. The vegetarian pasta with burrata was particularly “trés bien”

It seemed to us that we were in everyday outfits and without a Ferrari we weren't smart enough to be served. After waiting 20 minutes, we left and drank our nasty Aperol Spritz somewhere else. It's a shame, we really liked it there.

Unfortunately the service is very poor and arrogant. Even if not all tables are occupied, the waiters seem to be very stressed and relatively rude if you want to order after 20 minutes. Until a few months ago, the bread was initially free. Currently you can only get the bread for little money. Given the high prices, you would expect that something like this is actually included. Not at Café de Paris. Luckily the food and ambience are good. Unfortunately, you can't get good service anymore these days

Das allerletzte….. Die Toilette wurde mir verweigert! Mir wurde angeboten ein Glas Wasser für 2 € zu kaufen, dann hätte ich die Toilette benutzen dürfen. Der Toilettengang ist ein Grundbedürfnis, für die die es nicht verstanden haben!

Was there on a sunny afternoon, great ambience, very nice staff and heavenly dessert. I ate the soufflé and the crème brûlée and both were highlights in their own right. The coffee was a 10/10

Super unfriendly service, doesn't work at all

The Café de Paris in Cologne impresses with its excellent location in the middle of the city center and offers the opportunity to sit in a pleasant outdoor area. This is a real highlight, especially during the warmer months. The menu for vegetarians is manageable, but the seasonal offerings, such as the deliciously prepared asparagus, make up for it. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. Despite the service shortcomings, Café de Paris remains a good choice for those who value a central location and the ability to eat outside. Overall, the café receives a positive, albeit slightly limited, rating.

Food very(!) tasty, large portions. Great price!

Unfortunately, I discovered afterwards that the waitress had simply typed in more money than I said. I said that she could happily make 16€ and I was debited 18€. Unfortunately, I didn't ask for the receipt/EC receipt, otherwise I would have noticed it straight away. I find it an absolute disgrace and will therefore not come back. You really can't misunderstand 16 and 18.

Overall a nice place with good service but only a little vegetarian selection, hence only 3 stars. We ended up ordering just a salad and some (amazing) wine

Nice cafe. I was served really friendly. Afterwards I attended a gig in the basement. Good sound, great light. I think I'll go again when I'm nearby.

Everything was perfect. Atmosphere, foods, desserts… perfect. I have been cologne 5 times and went to a lot of beautiful restaurants but this was best. I gave 1 star because waiter wanted to tips from me persistently. She disturbed me to much it was weird. There should not be like these waiters in kind of these restaurants.

I come from Hamburg and the shop was recommended to me by a customer. The ambience is absolutely great, the food is at the highest level. The staff is extremely well trained and always very friendly. Absolutely recommended for a quick breakfast. A bit expensive

We ordered a breakfast platter for 2 people, which was a little cheaper (around €30 instead of €32) and were a little surprised that the platter with toppings wasn't significantly larger than the platter for one person. We asked and the waitress confirmed this somewhat unpleasantly. I found the plate to be quite carelessly prepared and the dips and spreads didn't seem homemade to me. The rolls and croissants were available in double quantities and tasted good. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. The waitress was friendly, but we were constantly asked if our food could be cleared away, which gave the impression that we should finish. But that is certainly a matter of taste and can certainly be seen by others as being attentive.

We didn't feel comfortable here, the staff wasn't very accommodating, we even had to wait a long time for a coffee.

1. The dishes all sound great on the menu. But they taste pretty average. Price performance okay. I had dinner here once and breakfast here once. Everywhere people like to put truffles in dishes and the price is raised accordingly (extra charge for mashed potatoes, I mean 8 euros?). Unfortunately, the truffle is a cheap summer truffle that was probably stored incorrectly because it smells good but no longer tastes like anything. More appearance than reality. 2. The atmosphere is somehow uncomfortable. It is very loud in the store and there is hardly any privacy where we were sitting, as we had neighbors 20cm to the left and right. Once we sat outside and we had better luck. 3. The service was always very nice and accommodating. Overall it would be described as overrated.

For me personally, the place would be nothing if you opened your shop as a Cologne for Leverkusen player. In my opinion, not a real Cologne native

The service was very poor, all the staff could be more attentive and friendly. We were there for 2.5 hours and then left earlier than planned because we simply weren't served. The empty plates and empty glasses were left on the table for over 30 minutes… The food is tasty but the portions are small. The drinks are also very good.

The taste was okay and the service was attentive, but the price-performance ratio was way over the top. There were two of us there. 2 breakfast pancakes, 2 glasses of sparkling wine, 1 0.5l water and 1 tea EUR 65.00 in total. Then it's better to go a few meters further with less Chi Chi and get the same good quality at 2/3 of the price.

Didn't know that you should make a reservation for breakfast at 9 a.m. So we only had an hour. That was a bit relaxing. But breakfast was delicious. There is still room for improvement when it comes to the friendliness of the service.

It's all ok. Unfortunately quite expensive for breakfast. A little too bland and tasteless scrambled eggs for me. But otherwise everything is ok. Service was very, very nice!
