Café de Colombia in Wiesbaden

I was absolutely thrilled! This Colombian restaurant transported me straight to Medellín. The Bandeja Paisa was incredibly delicious—authentically seasoned, generously served, and simply perfectly prepared. The ambiance is also beautifully designed: colorful, welcoming, and with a truly Colombian atmosphere. You can tell the food is cooked with love. I felt like I was back in Colombia. The service was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back! 🇨🇴

Where to begin? Everything was amazing and flavorful! My Andreas cocktail was fantastic and delicious. The empanada and the starters were all so well seasoned and served nice and hot. The Bandeja paisa was so delicious and enough to share; it was incredible trying a little bit of everything made it a culinary journey. We finished with a coffee and cappuccino for the drive home. The owner came by and said hello and wished us well as we left. I am very excited for my next trip to Wiesbaden, as I will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and come here, you won't be disappointed and will want to order everything!

My husband and I were looking for a good steakhouse in the area and this was by far the best one we have been too. The service was above and beyond and the food was amazing! There are not many authentic Hispanic restaurants in the area, but this one was so friendly and flavorful. We will be coming more often! And the drinks were amazing as well even the non alcoholic drinks were delicious!

It's definitely worth a visit! Very authentic, freshly prepared, and extremely delicious food. The cocktails are also excellent and well-priced. Owner Hugo and his staff do a fantastic job and put a lot of love into the restaurant. It immediately gives you a vacation feeling. We'll be back.

Food of very good quality and abundant, one of the best Colombian restaurants I have tried in Germany. It's not cheap, but in Germany nothing is. I would return without a doubt.

I ordered a double-portioned pan-fried pancake for 30 euros, and there were only two small pieces of chicharrón, which weren't very fresh, given their lead color and something that should have been chorizo, but wasn't. The fried yuca wasn't fresh either. The service was very friendly 👍🏼 I'll leave you a photo so you can rate it. Comment if you find the chicharrón.

We've known Hugo since he had his little restaurant. Once you get there, it feels like you're finding a piece of Colombia in the middle of everything. Hugo is not only incredibly friendly and accommodating, but also takes care of every detail with a lot of love and dedication. The food is simply excellent, always fresh and with so much taste. It is always a pleasure to be there and I really hope to continue visiting this special place with my family

Such a friendly, authentic restaurant. The reservation via WhatsApp in advance was so warm! When we got there we were greeted enthusiastically from the kitchen. Accompanied by great music from the box and from the kitchen (great singer 😉), we soon had our freshly prepared food. The food at the next table (steak from the sizzling pan) also looked very tasty! Colombian drinks made the evening perfect. The parking spaces right in front are also great!

I went yesterday with my brother and I have to give this restaurant five stars. The restaurant is beautiful, they have decorated it very well and the music is perfect. The employees are very professional and warm, they made us feel very welcome. And lastly, the food. It's spectacular, we ordered some delicious meat empanadas and then, each of us, a tray paisa. The tray paisa is unbeatable, a huge and delicious dish. And the dessert, tres leches, was the perfect ending. You can tell that the food is authentic and that it is not one of these pseudo-Latin restaurants. We both left there very happy and satisfied. This is a site that I would definitely recommend to my friends and co-workers.

I give it 1 star because the arepa with cheese was good but the main meal was a horrible sancocho soup and a paisa tray that couldn't even be eaten, what a shame it makes me feel, apart from the waiting time it was too much, one had to wait so long to pay dearly and on top of that Having to go eat somewhere else I won't be back. Real authentic Colombian food, empanadas and pollo sudado were very good and authentic. I’m very surprised with the flavor (being in Germany is hard to find authentic Latino food) muchas gracias

Apart from pizza, schnitzel, kebab, burgers, etc., we just wanted to try something new for a change, so we chose Colombian and never regretted it! The boss personally took time for us and helped us choose the dishes. From the starter to our main courses, everything was delicious and simply refreshingly different. But my personal highlights were the fresh juices and the salad that was served with the meatballs. Absolute tip in Wiesbaden, just go and try it out, you can't go wrong!

After several visits with different colleagues and various dishes ordered, I can list some of the establishment's strengths and weaknesses. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- Strengthen: - an impressive range of drinks (freshly squeezed exotic juices, coffee, cocktails) with good value for money - a decent list of starters with good value for money - qualitatively satisfactory meat in several meat dishes - a dense atmosphere (clientele from Latin America, typical music, tasteful furnishings, courteous owner) Weaken: - Several vegetarian dishes are quite bland in taste - the menu is limited when it comes to main courses (too many typical Colombian dishes are missing) - the veranda is quite small and can accommodate a maximum of 10 people (own estimate by eye) -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- I can personally rate the following dishes: Avocado with tuna - 5/5 (tip: order with yuca + eat) Yuca with salsa - 5/5 (fried to perfection, slightly spicy sauce) Vegetable soup - 2/5 (bland and with 1 type of vegetable; inexpensive) Empanada vegetarian - 2/5 (lots of corn crust, few vegetables) Grilled sea bream - 3/5 (expensive, without extra salsa -> dry; juicy because it is grilled in its own skin and served Pacific style with plantains and yuca) various juices - 5/5 (unfortunately not all fruits are available) Coffee - 5/5 (rather mild with moderate acidity) Espresse doble - 5/5 (approx. twice as strong as the coffee, half a coffee cup -> excellent price/performance) -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- What I can also note positively: - the owner gave us a different shot so far at the end (last time it was something very sweet and aromatic) - a very clean toilet - quiet outdoor area despite being close to the city center

Very tasty, fast, friendly and larger portions. You get really full. Prices ok and not overly expensive like some restaurants in the old town. Recommended

Restaurant Café de Colombia 🇨🇴 From the telephone reservation to the last bite, our visit to the Café de Colombia restaurant was a real pleasure. We received a warm and friendly welcome on the phone, which left us with a positive first impression. Our dining experience began with a selection of delicious appetizers that immediately delighted us. The highlight of the evening, however, was undoubtedly the rump steak, which, at around 400g, impressed not only with its size, but also with its perfect preparation and outstanding taste. Every dish we enjoyed was prepared with love. The boss and his colleague contributed significantly to our well-being. With their friendly and courteous manner, they created an atmosphere in which we felt completely comfortable. Particularly noteworthy are the homemade juices, which added a fruity, fresh note to our food and are absolutely recommended. Food is amazing! My first time eating Colombian food, and I loved it! The entrees take some time to make, so I recommend ordering an appetizer plate of plantains. They are delicious! Cocktails are strong and the value is very good! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Don't let the name fool you, there is really delicious, hearty food here. We had the platter for two people and were really full afterwards. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you feel warmly welcomed by the staff. An absolute recommendation, in the middle of Wiesbaden.

We were in the restaurant as a small group and had a really nice evening! Even if there was a small mistake with the food, the waiter tried very hard to make everything right! Everything was explained to us calmly and in detail in a friendly manner. All in one a mega restaurant with really delicious Colombian food and very friendly staff. PS: the owner also tried very hard to free up parking spaces. That really made the journey easier.

As part of a 1.5 day short vacation in Wiesbaden, this was our second stop at three Latin American restaurants. In my opinion, I had the best café ever in Germany here. Since we had dined Mexican quite late the evening before and had a reservation at a Peruvian restaurant in a few hours, we were only able to choose starters this time. Unfortunately. The empanadas were so good that we want to take the brunch, which always takes place on the first Sunday of Monday, with us on our next visit. That was also the tip from the super friendly owner. The ambience was right. And the furnishings here are more than authentic. The music fit perfectly. We are definitely coming back. Once for a “real meal” including a main course and for brunch. Very clear recommendation

I had only 2 times Togo from this place , and so far, I like it. They are ordered to make, so it will be a bit of waiting , just to be patient( I love order to cook food , taste better) it's type of food that will put you to sleep( comfort food ).👍

Las primeras veces que visite el lugar había salido muy contenta , pero esta ocasión no hemos pedido tantas cosas y prácticamente se demoraron más de una hora en traer dos sopas pequeñas ,a demás pedí un jugo de tomate de árbol lamentablemente no tenían, me siento algo decepcionada. Al parecer si compras más cosas entonces eres importante en el lugar y tienes una atención rápida
