The location is good, but everything is very expensive!

A competent and courteous technician recently repaired my noisy boiler. He arrived on time, kept the work area clean, and was considerate to everyone in the area.

What a wonderful place, nature, water, boats, large cozy terrace with many locals

I was there two days ago for lunch. There were five of us. We had a reservation. After we'd already waited a long time, I spoke to a receptionist, and she kindly sent her colleague to the front. He was totally annoyed, unfriendly, and didn't even let us finish our sentences. Our orders were also taken incorrectly. When we saw that summer vegetables had been brought instead of the summer salad and immediately informed them, they reacted rudely again. They then brought us an extra salad for free. However, they again fobbed us off in an annoyed manner. I've always really enjoyed going to the Café am neuen See. Sure, you often had to wait longer in the past, but the service was friendly. This time, in my opinion, was completely unacceptable.

The place is really good during Summers, should try the boating as well. great to have a beer and relax. The pizza was terrible and I would not suggest it.

For a stylish meal, the restaurant inside is definitely preferred, and for a peaceful and quiet environment, the garden is definitely preferred. For the garden, after taking your orders from the service area, you pay the bill at the cash register at the exit. Then you move to a nice place to enjoy the peaceful view with your tray. One of the most beautiful places in Berlin.

The guy at the door literally rolled his eyes at us when we said we were there just to have some drinks and when we waited for 15 minutes before leaving after no one took our order. We did not feel welcome.

The location of this cafe is somewhat hidden, but beautiful. You can enjoy the lake and nature while you eat. I think it's always busy here, but you can come without making a reservation.

Very nice location. They serve both savory and sweet dishes. Homemade cakes and various café specialties. The coffee is relatively small, but very expensive. You can choose your own seating. No waiter service, only self-service. The restrooms on site are very clean and nicely located. Definitely a highlight in the summer and highly recommended.

We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. When it arrived, it was cold. The service was completely overwhelmed and nothing was happening. I can't recommend this place at all!!!

The cafe is gorgeous and right along the park trail. The Watermelon Salad and the Blueberry Matcha was delicious. You can watch people on boats on the water. We came during the day, but I’m sure it’s gorgeous at night with the string lights and trees. A lovely place to eat anytime.

The place is Nice but very poor service, to bring one avocado toast it took 30 mins, matcha Latte cold and with a lot of sugar, i didnt like it at all. I would come Back just for a bottled beer …

We ordered the asparagus risotto twice. It came on a soup plate, and the portion was accordingly generous. It was more of an appetizer, and neither of us was at all full. The risotto tasted good, but too runny and oily for a risotto. €18 for it was completely excessive and unreasonable. When asked about the small amount, the waiter shrugged and said, "You're right." That's not what good service looks like to me.

Highly recommended for relaxing, eating, and drinking. Especially during the day, it's simply beautiful.

The food and the drinks bere were just superb! We loved the chicken and the brautworst with the salad. For dessert they had great ice creams and some cheesecakes available.

One of the most peaceful and romantic spots in Berlin. You can either reserve a table at the restaurant and enjoy their exquisite dishes, or grab a drink by the lake and just relax. In my opinion, it’s definitely one of the top places to visit in Berlin.

I find the breakfast prices way too high. Drink prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

Great beer garden, good location to sit, drink and socialise.

The location makes the price here. The food is served from the counter, cafeteria-style. The portions are okay, and the food isn't completely fresh, but it's still okay. Too expensive for my taste, and I prefer fresh food. But if you know that in advance, you can enjoy the beer garden atmosphere after a nice stroll through the park.

A wonderful ambiance (down to the smallest detail, even in the restrooms), right by a small lake, and beautifully lit in the evenings with candles and fairy lights. The atmosphere was fantastic. Perfect for groups or just the two of you. It's self-service, and tables are quickly cleared by the waiters. Simply a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful.

A lovely café to linger in!! With the option to rent a round boat and cruise on the small lake - sweet. Dog-friendly! However, on weekends, in warm weather, it's uncomfortably crowded!! I avoid the café at those times.

A house with a view of the lake in the park and a great atmosphere. The service was adequate and the food was good. However, because there were many customers, it took a long time for the food to come out. It was a pity that the coffee was cold.

Very nice and cozy with a great view. Our food was delicious and looked really good. The freshly squeezed juices are also highly recommended. Honestly, a really shitty experience. We went in because it started to rain, and the waiter said we could have a drink at the bar. Then we stood there for 15 minutes – no one paid any attention to us. Suddenly, this guy, let's call him Vitto (he even emphasized how his name is pronounced), came up and told us, without being asked, to leave because "space is needed for others." Dude, we were guests too?! And the funny thing? He walked straight up to us, two Asians, and simply ordered: "You have to get out, no arguments!" – but when I told him that that wasn't okay, he suddenly started chatting very nicely to the Germans next to us. Coincidence? Hardly. Even more brazen: A German family arrived AFTER us and were served immediately. And two guests who had already finished their coffee and were just finishing their coffee were allowed to stay seated. We were told to leave immediately, even though there was space everywhere. It was so obvious that even the other guests looked embarrassed. I don't know what this is about, but if you don't want to be treated like second-class citizens, go somewhere else. Vitto and his colleagues have zero respect – unless you look "really German." And yes, I'm mentioning the name because he himself acted like he was untouchable. Ridiculous.

The café has a great location, and in the summer, the beer garden is very convivial. There, you can get pizza, tarte flambée, and all sorts of drinks and food from the stands. Overall, I would describe the food as good, but not outstanding. Some of the creations are a bit unusual, like the salad, which is served with half a head of lettuce... I highly recommend the pizza, though. Unfortunately, if you're served inside, you often have to expect very long waits.

Beer garden or restaurant are amazing

Beautifully located, but horrible service! Coffee and cake on the right, food on the opposite side, sparkling water and beer at the next stand. Pay after queuing three times, and then queuing again on the way back! I've rarely seen such a poor system.

The food is bad. It feels like fast food made to look fancy. You know what I mean? This kind of food doesn’t suit a place that looks so great. They really need to redo the entire menu. The service is just okay—not the waiters’ fault, though, but the owner’s. There are too many tables and too few waiters. They all look stressed and are unsuccessfully trying to multitask. I’d come here for a drink, but never again to eat.

The food is average, but the atmosphere is awesome

Fabulous Biergarten set in the pretty and huge gardens around Berlin zoolister. Crazy popular bir massive seating and quick service. The fried chicken was amazing and so were the drinks.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio isn't right. And we only had the table for an hour and a half. We weren't told this on the phone, and then we were asked to leave because the next guests were already waiting.

Very nice and no reason to complain, but you should bring a beer mat to the chestnut blossom season so the blossoms don't rain into your beer. A helmet is definitely a good idea in the fall.

The location is actually really good, but the café at the new lake has reliably managed to make it a mess for decades. Poor to nonexistent service, the food isn't great either (the cake is okay), despite the location, you usually sit outside without a nice view of the lake or the countryside, and even when the place is only a quarter full, it's terribly loud. Not recommended.

The best Biergarten in Berlin? I think so.

The beer garden may be quite nice in the summer, but the atmosphere inside is quite dark. The food and drinks are quite expensive, but the quality is only average. On the positive side, the service was good, and an important note for those with limited mobility: the restroom is accessed via a long flight of stairs.

I can't judge the service because we were only in the self-service area. There are only two pizzas to choose from, more in the restaurant. Monday and Tuesday very chilled a D.J. on a raft. Prices generally moderate. Reservation online disastrous! If so, call. Update: Service is fantastic! Very friendly and attentive! Today with service. Charly is awesome! And Lenny our previous waiter was also fantastic! Fulfills special wishes.

It used to be one of my favorite place to go for brunch or coffee as the location and the view are really amazing but the service this time was one of the worst i've had in Berlin and the city isn't known for this great service. The staff was totally careless and uninterested, also failed to give us a table inside as everything was apparently booked out when many many tables stayed empty during the 2 hours we stayed there. The guests at the table next to us left after having being ignored for a good while. It was a big disappointement.

They offer both a restaurant and a beer garden. We opted for the latter - twice: Really nice Bavarian-style beer garden in the middle of Berlin. Good choice of draft beer and food. Grilled chicken and pizza were ok to good. Prices normal for Berlin. Self service but they push for tips anyway.

The food in the beer garden is delicious and reasonably priced. It's a typical beer garden atmosphere.

It used to be much better. From individual and with a feel-good factor to a beer garden with mass processing. The staff is unfriendly, the selection of drinks is rather sparse, perhaps too early in March, but when the weather is nice you can expect a corresponding rush. There are better beer gardens in Berlin. It's a shame, the café at the new lake used to be so great.

Nice place to hangout when the weather is good. Food quantity could be better. Good thing is that you can go and sit on a table, enjoy the view, without paying anything.

The cafe was very busy and you need to book a table in advance. The ice cream served was melted and the service was a bit slow due to the crowd. But it has a very pleasant atmosphere.

In any case . Fast service. Lots of tourists. Beer tastes good on tap. It's always worth it. Even as a Berliner!

Yes I can. I, 56, male, was there on Sunday, April 13, 25, at 2:30 p.m. I met a couple there and thought about a nice café. I made reservations in advance, which is a must-do! First of all, the café and the beer garden are two completely different locations! In the café you don't sit directly by the water, but at beautiful tables with a view of the beer garden and the park. The Tiergarten is not only a historically interesting place (with close proximity to the zoo), but also beautifully green with sculptures every now and then. The café was full and everyone still seemed happy. Some were there with company of several people and were apparently having brunch. The food at the other tables also looked very good. The furnishings themselves look elegant, but also make you feel comfortable. The service was great, friendly with jokes, the way you like to feel special as a guest among many. We had cheesecake and coffee, sun, nice weather and a very nice stay there!

Chaos from start to finish. Were there with a group of 8. Waited 45 minutes for an oat milk cappuccino, one came with normal milk even though I asked again. Then suddenly three came at once... Ordered pancakes - it said: "Unfortunately pancakes are out, please choose an alternative" - ​​after 1.5 hours the alternatives arrived - but also pancakes. ?? Oh well. Breakfast seemed to have been sitting around somewhere for a very long time, bread was rock hard, salami was sweating and cheese was slowly rolling... Burger & fries came completely cold after 2 hours (!) Just for fun, we ordered an espresso and bet among ourselves as to whether it would arrive at a drinkable temperature. Of course not, I went back and the second attempt at least worked. Service is hard to reach and a bit too annoying for all this annoying stuff, half a drama when paying, I have no idea whether the whole service was still in the coke hangover... at least that's how it seemed. Behind us, a table with leftover food and pipapo was not cleared away for several hours, and sparrows gathered in the interior. Of course, there were still technical problems with the billing. After this experience, the café at the new lake has become a running joke for us... There are days when something goes wrong, no problem. But perhaps a friendly and courteous manner can sometimes make a difference. Nothing was caught here.

Great place for enjoying a good food close to the park!

The potato wild garlic soup was great, the salad was unfortunately missing dressing and the pastry with the very tasty bread was unfortunately not recommended. The homemade lemonade is even more so.
