Cabana Rodizio in Kiel

The restaurant's ambiance is very appealing. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We had to wait a long time at our table before we were even served. We opted for the rodizio meat platter for €39. However, a large portion of our order was missing. Only after asking several times did we receive the missing items, including a basket of bread and dips. The cola I ordered was extremely watered down and barely tasted like cola, more like water. With the rodizio concept, where meat is supposed to be served continuously, the serving dishes only arrived 6 or 7 times. The service simply stopped at some point without us indicating that we were full. I used to enjoy coming here. However, after the disappointing experiences this summer and again on January 15, 2026, I will not be visiting this restaurant again and unfortunately cannot recommend it, as the overall quality has declined significantly.

We booked a table for 8:30 pm (open until 11 pm). As we sat down, we were informed that the meat buffet was only available until 9 pm. We were then rushed through the meal; the skewers arrived one after the other, so quickly that we hadn't even finished one piece. The only truly delicious items were the smoked pork loin and the pineapple. Some of the meat was raw, not medium-rare, but raw. Most of the side dishes were cold. Drinks were ordered but never arrived. All this for almost €40 per person. I definitely won't be coming back; it's a real shame.

We booked a table from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. When we ordered, we were told that the rodizio was normally only served until 9:00 pm, but they would extend it a little longer. The food arrived quickly, some of it overcooked and some of it completely raw. The side dishes were all cold and were heated up after we pointed this out. A drink we ordered later was never brought. There were only a few puddings left for dessert. The €165 we paid really hurt for the quality. Never again.

We reserved a table online for 8:30 pm... and were greeted with the words: "We only serve food until 9 pm" - even though they're open until 11 pm - so why can you reserve a table for two hours at 8:30 pm? 🤔 All the side dishes were lukewarm, more like cold, and the waiter with the skewers was rushing to our table. Our drink orders never arrived. We left €170 there for four people - a real shame in hindsight. 🫤

An absolute delight! Cabana Rodizio at the Kieler Cup impresses with its authentic Brazilian atmosphere and outstanding food. The rodizio is varied, perfectly seasoned, and the meat incredibly tender – you can immediately taste the high quality. The friendly and attentive service deserves special mention, making the visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The salad and side dish buffet is also fresh, diverse, and beautifully presented. A great restaurant for a relaxed evening with friends or family. We'll definitely be back!

Ahoy! We were in Kiel again yesterday and ate there. We had reserved a table and were greeted promptly and very warmly. The service was charming and the food excellent; we'd gladly come back anytime. I even had a quick chat with the owner on my way out and he shook my hand goodbye.

We used to love coming here, especially for the breakfast buffet. After a break of several years, we've now been back twice and unfortunately won't be coming again. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is no longer acceptable. €27 for a vegetarian buffet consisting mainly of salads, some cold shrimp, potatoes, and a few small desserts is completely disproportionate to what's on offer, even considering inflation. However, the decisive factor in our negative review is the service and the quality of the à la carte food: The goulash soup I ordered was completely oversalted and barely edible. The service was particularly unpleasant: On both visits, we had the same waiter, who seemed unfriendly, even hostile. We constantly felt like we were bothering them. We weren't greeted, we had to ask for the children's menu, and we also had to take care of refilling the bread basket and even asking to pay. Needless to say, the table wasn't cleared while we were still drinking and talking. Overall, we had to chase after the unfriendly service from start to finish. The ambiance is undoubtedly beautiful (except for the inappropriate music on our second visit), and one is generally willing to pay more for that. However, when neither the selection, the quality, nor the service are convincing, it doesn't justify the price. It's no surprise that the restaurant was empty on the third Sunday of Advent. It's nothing like it used to be. For us, unfortunately, a thoroughly disappointing experience.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to bother to greet us, and another 20 minutes for the person to find a drill. 2 steaks were ordered, one was okay, the other was raw in the middle Our waiter almost threw the plates on the table when we finally got a drill. There was no time for customers. Only German menus, and very little English spoken.

I went to Rodizio today with six other people. The service was abysmal. The staff were unfriendly, and when we asked for help, we just got a wave of their hands. Some drinks took over 25 minutes to arrive. Then, while we were still ordering drinks, we were told we'd already been sitting there for two hours and should vacate the table. Neither when we booked the table nor in the restaurant were we informed that we only had two hours. That might be enough for two or three people, but there were seven of us. It should be obvious that more conversations and reordering would take place. We were then very rudely ushered to the entrance, where there are only high bar stools. All in all, the way we were treated was truly appalling. We spent over €400, and this is how they treat their customers. We will not be coming back.

2/5 stars: Disappointing due to unfriendly service and limited seating time We were a group of seven for a Christmas party at Cabana Rodizio. The quality of the rodizio was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The waiter seemed unfriendly and annoyed when taking our order. Drinks took far too long (about 20-30 minutes). The biggest issue: As early as 9:00 PM, we were told that we needed to leave because our table was being reassigned for 9:30 PM. We were not informed about this limited seating time beforehand, neither during the booking process nor when we were told about the time difference. Had we known this, we definitely would have chosen a different restaurant. As it was, we felt rushed and unwelcome. This was our last time at Cabana Rodizio.

We were there today with seven people for a Christmas party. The food was okay overall. The salad bar was acceptable, the side dish buffet mediocre, the desserts adequate, but the chocolate mousse was an absolute disgrace. The rodizio was okay, but the quality has declined significantly. The grumpy and completely overwhelmed waiter took an extremely long time for our drinks, despite us asking several times. Suddenly, we were asked to vacate the table because the next guests were waiting, without any prior communication that we had a time limit. The waiter's lack of understanding regarding our dissatisfaction didn't improve the situation. Would we go again? No! The reviews show different results and experiences when the restaurant wasn't so busy. Especially during peak hours, the service should be top-notch; today it was at best a 5+ (out of 5). The food gets a 4+ (out of 5). Overall, the value for money is a 4 (out of 5).

Absolutely terrible mass processing! No atmosphere whatsoever. Very loud! Christmas party! 17 people: 4 tables for 4 people each. Completely impossible. One person was then squeezed into one of the tables, making it difficult for the waiter and the other guests to get through the aisle. After 2 hours, we HAD to leave the restaurant, even though we kept ordering drinks and dessert. The next guests arrived!

Despite having a reservation (large group), we were let in 1.5 hours late. We got our side dishes once, then the meat arrived in rapid succession. We could barely take two bites, let alone use the buffet. It was probably already too late (after 9:30 pm), so the quality suffered (I've experienced much better). The side dishes, like fries or rice, which are supposed to be served at the table, only arrived once, and even then, there wasn't enough. Not everyone got anything. The staff were great, except for one person who handled the meat. He prepared it so carelessly that grease splattered everywhere. Clothes, tableware, and the floor were all over the place. However, we were able to stay and order drinks for another hour after the official closing time.

The spare ribs weren't cooked through and arrived at the table after 5 minutes. They were probably kept warm or briefly reheated. Otherwise, it was filling and tasted okay.

We've been there twice in the last four weeks, and both times it was absolutely excellent! We were greeted warmly and had a very nice table each time. The service was attentive, and we have no complaints about the food either. We opted for the rodizio buffet both times; it was constantly replenished, and everything was delicious! There were seven of us at the restaurant, six of whom ordered the rodizio – and what we were served was an absolute disgrace. We have truly never eaten such bad meat. The fish course was also a disaster: The scampi had a mealy texture – a clear sign of improper preparation – and the spinach had an unpleasant fishy taste. Honestly, we would have preferred not to pay at all, because what they were offering as rodizio had nothing to do with a delicious meal. We paid out of politeness, but no one was satisfied. Out of seven people, not one person enjoyed their meal. The location is actually quite nice and cozy, which makes the whole experience all the more disappointing. The price-performance ratio is simply outrageous. In short: inferior quality, improper preparation, and a complete and utter disappointment. No one should serve something like this to a guest. We will definitely never eat there again – and strongly advise against it.

Highly recommend Rodizio, a meaty pleasure far beyond the norm and a service you'll have to look for a long time. So if you're in Kiel, it's definitely worth a visit

There were three of us there and we only wanted three drinks. We waited over 30 minutes; the service was basically nonexistent. We won't be back.

Unfortunately, they're not customer-oriented. We came to Kiel specifically to have breakfast here. The food was good. When we paid, we wanted to pay with a voucher, and suddenly the waiter told us that he had already booked the table and therefore payment with a voucher was no longer possible. Even after we objected, we received no explanation as to why a rebooking wasn't possible. I have no sympathy for such poor customer service.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very poor (too greasy and too salty), and the service was unfriendly or even nonexistent. The star is awarded for the pleasant atmosphere and the uncomplicated online reservation process.

I was last there a few years ago today, and everything was definitely better then. This time, the service was beyond compare. The waiter was unfriendly and his displeasure was blatant. The food—we ordered the rodizio skewers—was all bad. The meat was too salty, and you could immediately tell the poor quality, and that was €35 per person. I know you can't expect high-end meat for that price, but there should still be a certain level of quality. I'm sorry, but I won't be eating there again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Generous, hospitable, and magnificent. From the reception to the food to the service, it was a perfect experience. We made a last-minute reservation for that evening and were even able to be seated half an hour early because our previous event had ended early. Nice guidance to our seats and prompt service, despite the tables being full. Naturally, we opted for the rodizio, and it was just right. The appetizer buffet offered an incredible selection, and everything we had tasted excellent. Everything from the subsequent rodizio, the quickly served cuts from the skewers, was also perfect and incredibly plentiful. We couldn't eat all the varieties; we were simply completely full "too early." Our waitress was always there and incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Fantastic service and super delicious food

The ambiance is truly pleasant, and the music selection fits the mood perfectly—neither too loud nor too quiet. However, there were a few drawbacks with the food: some dishes weren't warm enough, and overall, there was a noticeable lack of Brazilian flair. The serving of ketchup and mayonnaise in small plastic packets also seems a bit out of place for a restaurant of this type.

We didn't go there because dogs aren't allowed, even though there's nothing posted on the shop's notice. The manager would have made an exception, which was very nice, but one yell and we would have had to leave, which wasn't worth it to me. We then went to the Mohrenkopf and had a great meal.

Totally disappointing. Aside from the meat in the asado, there's nothing South American about the food. Instead of Niepoort Tawny White Port, they served "Ruby." No Tenere, no cassava. We'll be back.

Unfortunately, much to my wife's dismay, it was a bit lacking. She would have liked the skewer that was constantly being cut off. Cabana buffet. The waitress said it was only vegetarian, so she had to change her mind. Despite everything, it was once again very delicious.

We always enjoyed going there, but today was the last time. When we ordered, we weren't even asked what kind of meat we wanted or what side dishes we wanted. Medium would have been nice, but it was raw and hard to chew. We wanted to go for a smoke, and then the rest of our food was cleared away without a word. And the food costs money, too. We weren't even there for half an hour. Never again!!!

We'd been planning to eat here for a while and were rather skeptical due to some bad reviews. However, I noticed that the bad reviews mainly appeared when the place was quite busy. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. It was actually very quiet when we sat down there with our two daughters (13 and 5 years old) at 12:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon. We had an extremely friendly and attentive waiter, a native Brazilian named Adriano, who went out of his way to serve our little girl very warmly, bringing us painting supplies and offering us "extras." When I wanted to show our little girl the restaurant and we were able to see the amazing oven, we were promptly invited to take a look at the kitchen and say "hello" to the chefs. As I said, it wasn't busy, so it didn't bother us, and the little girl was super happy. I have to say, I've seen many restaurant kitchens, and this one is exceptionally clean and everything is hygienic. The rest of the restaurant and the restrooms were also top notch. I only gave the food 4 stars because we didn't get to try much of the buffet, as the "rodizio" meat served at the table left barely any room for side dishes. But what I did manage to eat was definitely delicious. We definitely won't be eating there for the last time.

We arrived when the restaurant opened at 4:00 PM. We didn't have a reservation, but at that early hour, there were still plenty of free tables. Consequently, the listless waiter hastily assigned us a table. Even though we hadn't chosen our food or drinks, the waiter repeatedly almost pressured us to finally place our order. The food arrived so quickly, it was as if they had practically already prepared it. The dishes looked rather carelessly thrown together (a world away from, for example, Block House). After a while, the waiter came over to us and, in such a rude manner, asked us to pay quickly. The table was apparently only free for another 20 minutes, something we weren't even told about during the hasty reception. Incidentally, there were still plenty of other tables free. As we left, the waiter slammed the bill down on the table and, without my permission, wanted to keep a tip for the abysmal service. Conclusion: Mediocre food and terrible service. There's no sense of welcome or comfort. Mass processing of the worst kind. NEVER AGAIN!

The food was delicious. I had the rump steak topped with cheese and ham, and mushrooms. The restaurant has very nice and friendly service! The atmosphere is also very inviting and perfect for a relaxed get-together! I'd love to come back and try the buffet next time.

The food was good and tasty, but unfortunately I had a sporty pork in the form of spare ribs on my plate; they didn't have anything on their ribs.

The breakfast buffet is good, plentiful, and was always promptly replenished. We've experienced it differently there before, but the service is friendly and very attentive. However, we don't find it particularly child-friendly. We last had breakfast there on December 25, 2024, and at that time, they said the changing table was broken. Even today, there was no changing facility for us, so we were forced to change our baby on a bench in the restaurant – no privacy whatsoever! Absolutely unacceptable. In the women's restrooms, only two of the four cubicles are usable because the locking latches have been missing since Christmas 2024. I wonder how it's possible that nothing has been done about it during this time. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing – more than promised than delivered. We had chosen the large buffet with meat skewers (beef, pork, lamb, poultry). However, only beef and pork were served – despite requests, nothing came. Side dishes such as bread, dips, or sauces were also not brought, despite announcements. The buffet (especially potato gratin) quickly emptied and was not refilled. Drinks were only served upon request, after the third course of meat, even though they were included. We would have liked more, but only managed to have three drinks due to the length of time served, as no one seemed to care. After 40 minutes, the man with the meat skewers didn't come either, even though you're allowed two hours to eat. Incidentally, he slammed the meat carelessly onto our plates. The only positive: an honest, young server who openly dealt with the overwork. Overall, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it – hence two stars.

Unfortunately, yesterday was absolutely terrible. The buffet was constantly empty, some of the beef was raw. There was no poultry at all, and the spare ribs were burnt. Fries were only brought out twice in almost two hours, and everyone got five. The staff didn't respond to inquiries either. It used to be really delicious with good service, but we won't be coming back.

We ate here a few days ago. Very friendly staff and very accommodating, which unfortunately only deserves 4 stars for one thing, but more on that later. First, we were served a welcome from the kitchen: bread with garlic and oil. The food arrived very quickly after ordering, taking less than 15 minutes. The food itself was very good and tasty. The burger was excellent, and the bread was also very good, not very big, but perfect for kids. The steaks were cooked as requested and were OK in terms of size/weight. What we noticed was that the meat didn't seem to be tempered, as it was still ice cold inside, which was a shame. The side dishes, such as onions and mushrooms, were very tasty. The steak fries were also OK. What wasn't good was the open potato. It was watery on the inside and already had germs inside. When we asked about this, we were told that this was a known problem and that it was probably the supplier's fault. In my opinion, it's a no-go. If I know the product isn't OK, I won't sell it again, even if it was actively advertised at the next table. That's completely unacceptable in our opinion. Overall, the visit was good, but we wouldn't eat here again. The atmosphere is very nice.

I visited Cabana Rodizio with other people on July 18, 2025, around 6 p.m. I ordered a Sprite to drink and a CR cheeseburger to eat. The service was good overall. While the staff wasn't overly friendly, they were attentive, quick, and always made sure everything was to our liking. The service left me with a good feeling overall. The food was also really good. The bread and dip made a good starter. Even though the Sprite tasted a bit bland, the burger was all the better. The patty was nice and juicy and flavorful. The other components of the beautifully presented burger were also fresh. Nevertheless, the burger was a bit heavy to eat and often fell apart. The fries were crispy and well-salted. I still felt like the food was missing that certain something. Apart from that, I think €17.80 for the burger and the amount is really expensive. The price of the Sprite is probably reasonable considering today's circumstances. The ambiance itself is very cozy and "Brazilian." However, it would be even more comfortable if the noise pollution, including the loud ringing in the kitchen, were reduced. Conversations are possible with a few more guests in the restaurant, but they can be tiring. Overall, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Kiel war eines unserer Tagesausflüge während des Sommerurlaubes mit den Teens an der Ostsee, daher waren wir ziemlich ausgehungert auf der Suche nach einem ganz besonderen Ausklang des Abends. Und hier wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Die Preise sind günstig, Das Essen ausgesprochen lecker, Der Service unschlagbar gut, das Ambiente geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Wartezeit auf die Bestellung, so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Nur eins bleibt mir negativ anzumerken.... Ihr seid zu weit weg von Koblenz.

Some of the meat was still too raw, and some side dishes like rice, beans, and fries only came upon request. The ribs were practically overcooked, and there wasn't much meat left. The cold buffet doesn't have a particularly large selection. The crab in batter was no longer available or even available as a choice. I used to love it, but this time it wasn't really good. The price was significantly too high.

Regarding the food, we can say that everything was very good. We went there three times during Kiel Week and found a place for a short break. Regarding the rodizio, the quality and service were okay, but the succession of individual skewers was simply too quick. You couldn't really enjoy it because the refills came much too quickly one after the other. One complaint was that the restrooms either had no paper, toilet paper, or even hand-drying paper. In the women's restroom, two of the four restrooms couldn't be locked because the latch was missing. The surroundings of a restaurant should also be just right.

The food was overall good. 4 of us we order T-Bone Steak and including the drinks we spend more than 60€ each. The service of the waiter was very poor. He just came to pick up and bring the order. He never came back to ask if we enjoy the dinner, to offer more drinks, to offer a dessert, and not even to collect the plates after we finish to eat. Than we needed to search for him to ask for the bill. In my opiniom for the money that we spent the service should be a bit better. The bar waiter on the other hand was very friendly and nice. For her a give rate 5 🌟s. Disappointed.

It was our first time there, and I have to say it was really delicious, but what bothered me a bit was that not everyone is like that 😊 I prefer my meat well done. Several times I was unlucky because I was sitting in a stupid position and had more raw meat from the skewer 🙆‍♀️ so I preferred to wait a while and hope I got a slice 😅 but otherwise the atmosphere and waiters were very friendly. We definitely rolled out 😁👍🏻👍🏻

We had a reservation for Whit Monday. We liked the ambiance; there were lots of little decorative touches. The service was quick and brought the drinks; the mojito was amazing. First, we got bread and two dips 😋. We then decided on the rodizio and got everything on the menu. The freshly grilled meat, cut from the spit, was very good (you could remove it with tweezers), and it was hot and delicious. The service was very attentive; neither the plates nor the glasses were empty for long. For dessert, I had ice cream with hot raspberries. All in all, a clear recommendation. You'll not only be full and satisfied, but you'll also be able to count it as an experience 👍🏼. Many thanks to the team.

I've eaten at Cabana Rodizio several times now. The weekend breakfast buffet is really great! There's something for everyone, like salmon, scrambled eggs, sausages, various types of bread and rolls, cold cuts, and many varieties of cheese. However, the food outside of breakfast leaves a lot to be desired! As a rodizio, due to the low number of guests, the skewers are served VERY frequently. Namely, with sausages, wings, and spare ribs. You have to ignore the – actually lavish – side dish buffet, as you're practically fattened up with the skewers. Unfortunately, the 'good' stuff (fillet, etc.) only comes out when you can't eat any more... The restaurant is definitely NOT recommended à la carte. The steaks were NEVER cooked to the desired degree. It was always overcooked: medium rare requested, medium to well-done. All other requests were always served 'well-done'. And the fact that the requested steak is no longer available on a Saturday afternoon leaves management with doubts. (Keyword: ordering) Unfortunately, with the exception of the breakfast visits, all the others were more or less disappointing. The restaurant has real potential due to its location and ambiance. It's often the staff's fault, especially in the kitchen.

I was there for dinner yesterday with my daughter. Friendly reception. First there was bread with 2 dips, very tasty. The main courses were great, as was the dessert. The prices are a bit high, but still reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended.

I've eaten at Cabana Rodizio several times and still love it, even though my dish wasn't great the last time I was there - this time we were there with eight people and I tried something different. The first three times we ate there this year were all great. This time (April 25) it was more of a 4+ (everything was fine for me and the rest of the group). Contrary to my order, my club steak was medium-rare, well-done and therefore not edible. Nevertheless, I will go there again, even if more often at this rate.

We wanted to enjoy Rodizio with you last Saturday. We had reserved a table for this. Friendly welcome, nice table, drinks and instruction promptly. Then the same skewer twice, a baked banana in the middle (with no way to ward it off), then over-salted roast beef with over-salted mushroom and onion vegetables... that was it. Then no one came to offer anything. No poultry, no entrecote, no chorizon... nothing! Around 8 p.m. (the restaurant was still packed) the dessert fridge was empty... far, far too expensive. Maybe you should consider an internship at Pathera/HH or Hacienda/Jesteburg?!? In any case, we won't be visiting the cabana again.

We ordered the all you can eat. The meat somehow became rawer and saltier😅, but the buffet was great and so were the service staff.

We had reserved a table, the atmosphere was great and the people were quite friendly. Unfortunately we didn't know that the buffet ends at 9 p.m., which means we got the food in a hurry and at some point it was over. Later we found the reason on the map. Unfortunately we didn't have this information. Otherwise it was fine. The quality was good and the price would have been okay if you had had more time.

I recommend you go to other big cities and take a look around there. The dry aged beef has to melt in your mouth, that's what's special about it, but when I ate your poorest quality burger patty, I shuddered. How can you fry a piece of meat so lifelessly... it tasted like fat and hard chewing gum. If my esophagus wasn't wide enough, I think I would have choked!!! In addition, very poor ketchup and mayo packaged in small ready-made bags from the cheapest catering brands in front of me. You can expect a bit of quality!! That's why I know or rather strongly assume that if you mess with even the smallest things like sauces, why am I surprised that the quality of the preparation of the meat, which tasted like it was from an old milked cow!! On the whole you have a nice staff, but no specialist knowledge of qualified meat techniques (maybe do an internship in Argentina).

I have never experienced such poor and arrogant service! 2 different waiters see guests standing at the entrance to ask for a free table...both saw the guests, but they simply left the guests standing (even though the waiters had nothing to do at that moment). Then after a long wait we got a table. After 10 minutes still no waiter came to take at least one drink order. Then got up and left! Never there again!!!

Moin auch! Wir waren oft gerne da,das essen war bislang auch immer echt gut,aber seit einiger zeit,lässt der service echt zu wünschen. Es werden speisen verwechselt,wenn man zahlen möchte,dann wird man vergessen oder vertröstet u dann doch vergessen,u es lässt manchmal an freundlichkeit nach. Ein tipp von mir an den inhaber,nehmt wieder wenn möglich mädels in den service,da kommen echt schon länger bei euch,und die waren immer aufmerksam,und verstanden ihren job sehr gut.

Some of the meat is very dry or almost raw. Without telling us, when we asked, we were told that unfortunately lamb was not available today. It's a shame we had hoped for more.

The restaurant looks very clean and cozy. We came with a group of 5 people and were served very quickly. However, our food was served very blandly/dry. The meat was okay but not particularly tender and didn't stand out in other respects. I wouldn't call it reaching for the toilet, but I won't recommend it to my friends.

Waited 45 minutes until the first skewer came. But it gets even better, we weren't brought or offered anything from pork just because we have black hair and a beard. Only after asking and getting stupid looks did the first skewer of pork arrive. But we were already tired of waiting. We will never enter this store again.
