Very unusual and very tasty burgers! Small, cute shop that we can recommend as an insider tip. Super nice team and good service.

Burger was ok! But I've also eaten better ones. The potato side dish is an absolute joke - 2 potatoes in a dipping bowl as well as a tablespoon of coleslaw which you can order separately. It's definitely not for a hungry man. Otherwise the ambience is fine, small and cozy.

Perfect burgers with good music in a tiny but cozy restaurant that doubles as a bar with its well-made cocktails. The veggie burger has also made it back onto the menu after being replaced by a vegan alternative. Prices have risen significantly since Corona. The burgers used to come with coleslaw and potatoes. Now these are available separately as 'extras' for €2 respectively. €4 on the menu, which brings even the small cheeseburger with these sides to €20, about 60% more than 4 years ago. Reservations on weekends are still strongly recommended. Tip: Try the lava lamp - a shot.

Very, very good burgers with really good pepper bread and very good cocktails. Also very nice service and a nice, cozy atmosphere. I really enjoy coming here again and again!

Nothing special, no english menu, food is average, burger that I ate was Acapulco and it was dry, no taste of quacamole. It is very expensive for my taste.

An absolutely likeable bartender with tips for further activities. In the evening I can really recommend Munich for top quality drinks at a reasonable price. Just the kind of atmosphere you like. Big compliments to Ludwig if you don't come, you're stupid

Made a mistake, paid for the mistake...

One of the most beautiful places in Munich! Preferably with the Ca-Ba-Lu lemonade and one of the delicious burgers. Although the vegan and vegetarian versions taste great, you should definitely try the Tingeltangel.

Everything fits there. Nice vibe. Yummy. It's comfortable inside or outside. We always enjoy visiting cabalu.

The cocktails are quite tasty, only the Magerita wasn't so good, without ice... The cheeseburger was also good just a little spicy. The restaurant is right next to the subway, so it is not suitable for large groups as there is little space.

Food is very poorly presented, bread comes broken, hamburger is a lot smaller than the bread. The service is bad, even with the restaurant empty, they will give you a bad look if you don’t order one dish per person. And at the end they just say they only take cash.

The burgers really aren't bad; Around €12 for warmed packets of chips with a dollop of “guacamole” are borderline. In any case, it wouldn't be bad for the operators (presumably; at least the two gentlemen who mainly serve) not to always give guests the feeling that they are actually being disturbed. Space for four? Yes, if necessary, but only here and not there and not here anyway and your backpack gets in the way too. No salad on the burger? No problem, you still get salad. Btw.: you can do your own thing and be confident in yourself, but then the burger shouldn't be raw inside (raw, not medium) ;)

Last night we went to the bar for a friend's birthday. The bar was reserved exclusively for the birthday. Basically it was a very nice evening, only when it came to paying, the owner suddenly showed his different face. My friend had paid a flat rate of €2000 in advance for around 30 people. In the end, the owner demanded an additional €1,000. My friend was a bit surprised because it wasn't entirely clear how this amount came about, but she paid without discussion. She scraped together the rest of her cash to pay by card and left all the tips she could with that amount. We thought everyone would be happy with that until the owner complained to his friends who were smoking at the bar (who weren't actually invited to the party) that the tip was too small. An action that I find incredibly unnecessary and wrong. With a turnover of over €3000 for 30 people, which was not even clearly shown, treating the paying customer like that is impossible! Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended!

We were supposed to have had a nice evening in private today. The agreed amount was €2,000 for everything, for a total of around 30 people. If there were more, we would pay this individually, but we did not assume that this would be necessary. However, we underestimated how much both food and drinks were forced on us. In the end, more than 100 burgers were provided for around 30 people and more and more were added, even though the guests had no longer needed them for a long time. All in all, we ended up being charged just over €3,000. Some of the guests left after just 1-2 hours. Where the €100 in sales per person would come from is actually a mystery to us, but we paid it because we just wanted to enjoy the evening. After we had paid the amount that was significantly higher than agreed, we scraped together the last of our money to at least give the staff a small tip. Thereupon we were gossiped about behind our backs, but clearly audibly. In our opinion, we were completely ripped off here because a lot was forced on us that no one actually ordered and no one wanted. In addition, at a later hour, despite the closed company, additional people came into the bar who smoked in the bar with the owners and took part in the gossip. Their drinks were probably also billed to us. My friend, who celebrated her 30th birthday here and just wanted a nice evening, was, in my opinion, ripped off and treated badly and ultimately left the bar crying. So I can only say: no thanks and never again!

Überragendes Essen, gute Drinks - Bedienung super!

The place is small enough to feel cozy and intimate (make a reservation). Cocktail list is traditional and yet surprising. Burgers might be a little bit more expensive than in other places, but definitely worth the price!!! The bread is soft and tasty, burgers are cooked just right and of prime quality, sauces taste great, and you can even feel the crunch of the fresh lettuce. Overall super positive!

I tried the cheese burger and it was pretty good, the service was nice and we got the food in an excellent timeframe.

Das CA-BA-LU habe ich vor Corona das erste Mal besucht und fand es damals schon richtig gut. Ich wollte dort einen runden Geburtstag feiern, aber bekanntlich hat Corona dann einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Umso mehr freut es mich, dass es der Laden überstanden hat und besuchte es heute erneut. Das CA-BA-LU ist sowohl eine gemütliche Bar mit exzellenten Drinks als auch ein klasse Burgerladen und liegt mit ÖPNV perfekt erreichbar im Lehel. Ich finde die Burger richtig gut, es gibt eine große Auswahl an Varianten. Sie werden frisch zubereitet und schmecken vorzüglich. Zu den letzten kritischen Anmerkungen hier möchte ich erwidern: - Ja, das Fleisch ist etwas fest gepresst, ich mag es auch lockerer, aber der eine mag es so, der andere so - tut dem Genuss keinen Abbruch - die Beilagen sind in der Tat etwas homöopathisch, aber der Burger reißt das raus - Der Service ist bayrisch locker und freundlich - was will man eigentlich mehr - Preise...oh je, was soll man sagen? Die Preise stehen in der Karte und man hat die freie Wahl zu bleiben oder woanders hinzugehen. Man sollte vielleicht berücksichtigen, dass wir uns hier mitten in München befinden und nicht in der Provinz, aber verglichen mit anderen Burgerläden in München ist das CA-BA-LU nicht teurer als andere und das Wichtigste: Preis-Leistung passt meines Erachtens Ich fühle mich sehr wohl hier und komme hoffentlich bald mal wieder.

Service sehr freundlich und nett. Essen: Burger auf den ersten Blick schön, Fleisch jedoch total gepresst und die Beilagen auch nicht gut. Kartoffeln die groß beschrieben werden sind ca. 40g (wirklich!! Mehr nicht!!! 2 aufgeschnittene kleine Kartöffelchen!!!!) und der Krautsalat US Style für 1€ extra ist im wesentlichen der deutsche Krautsalat ausm Rewe Regal. Ambiente: draußen zu dunkel, nur LED Beleuchtung an den Füßen

We loved our time in Munich and this restaurant was a highlight! We shared the cheeseburger---so yummy! There was a side of potatoes with this scrumptious ranch sauce. Then dessert! This exquisite chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream! Just a perfect meal. Thank you!

Leckere Burger, aber das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht ganz. Die Beilage zum Burger ist quasi nicht existent.

The place only accepts payment card a over 50 euros, which is unbelievable nowadays. It's very small, if you want to go, it's better do a reservation... The Hamburger is fine and the prices are more on the expensive side, from 15-20 euros a hamburger. You can also choose small ones with 150g or 230g.

Typical Beyond Burger (?) vegan option, nothing special but I specifically liked the bun that gets one more star 🌟 though when someone orders vegan burger it doesn't make sense to bring potatoes with yoghurt dressing ☹️ or they should ask the least. One thing that stood out for me as negative is that they didn't ask for the doneness of the burger and one assumes that would be well done, but to our surprise the burgers came as medium perhaps even a little towards medium rare. If you go there be aware of that. Service was quick and staff were friendly but nothing special.

Leckere Burger, die Kartoffelbeilagen allerdings für den Preis viel zu klein (Kartoffelecken). Nachschub kostet 4€. Nichtsdestotrotz guter Service und auch lecker gewesen.

Ese día me levanté con antojo de una buena hamburguesa y sin duda llegué a ”CA-BA-LU” el lugar indicado para disfrutar de una buena hamburguesa. De las mejores hamburgueserías que he probado en Múnich. Las hamburguesas estaban espectaculares. Calidad-Precio muy buena, además hay mucha variedad. Tomamos postre y un cocktail al final qué también estaba espectacular. El trato del personal muy agradable y el ambiente muy relajante para tener una buena conversación con amigxs o pareja. Lo recomiendo y sin duda volveremos.

The hamburgers were outstanding and desserts even better. My only comment would be to add an english menu. It was difficult to understand the menu, since we don’t speak german, but the waitress was very helpful. If you want to eat a good burger in Munich, this is the place to go.

Great burgers! Really delicious. The small terrasse outside is lovely during summer!

Das Essen war leider gar nicht gut. Schlechte Burgerqualität (Patty und Brot) für einen zu hohen Preis. Die Beilagen waren sehr klein und die Kartoffeln innen noch roh. Das Brötchen war eingefallen / schlapp. Wartezeit ca. 35 Minuten. Das Personal war leider nur bedingt freundlich.

Der ideale Ort, um sauleckere Burger und tolle Cocktails zu genießen. Service ist klasse, die Ginkarte ist es auch 😁. Wir kommen immer gerne hierher, um einen gechillten Abend zu verbringen 🤩

Great place for drink and burger

Tolle Auswahl geschmackvoll kombinierter Burger, gut gemixte Drinks. Das einzige, was mich nicht überzeugt hat, waren die Tacos. Die gibt es anderswo besser.

Klein, aber fein! Ein sehr sympathisches, besonderes und individuelles Ambiente. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und leckere Burger! Ein Geheimtipp für Touris, die nicht touristisch essen gehen möchten.
