NACHTRAG: Der Besitzer hat in den Kommentaren klargestellt, dass es sich um zertifiziertes Rindfleisch handelt. Es war also tatsächlich unbedenklich zum Verzehr. Bitte lassen Sie diese Anmerkungen hier, damit niemand erneut diesen Fehler macht. Soweit ich weiß, muss Hackfleisch, außer bei zertifiziertem Rindfleisch in Tatarqualität, auf eine Kerntemperatur von mindestens 71 °C erhitzt werden, um sicher verzehrt werden zu können. Aus Gründen der Lebensmittelsicherheit musste ich mit dem Essen aufhören und den Rest des Burgers unberührt lassen.

Ein Highlight unseres Münchenbesuchs. Richtig gute Burger und Cocktails mit dem gewissen Extra.

Perfekte Burger bei guter Musik in einem winzigen, aber gemütlichen Restaurant, das mit seinen gut gemachten Cocktails auch als Bar durchgeht. Der Veggie-Burger hat es auch wieder auf die Karte geschafft; sehr zu empfehlen ist der relativ neue Smashed Burger. Reservierung am WE weiterhin dringend empfohlen. Im Sommer sitzt man in den Abendstunden auch recht schön draußen auf dem Thierschplatz und kann die Abendsonne genießen. Tipp: Die Lavalampe - einen Shot - ausprobieren.

Einfach alles was ich bisher probiert habe war absolut köstlich

Der beste Burger, den ich in meinem Leben je hatte! Hab direkt einen zweiten hinterher bestellt!

Super unwohl habe ich mich dort gefühlt! Wenn man reinkommt, schlägt einem ein extrem unangenehmer kalter Rauchgeruch entgegen 🤢 Eigentlich hätte man da sofort wieder gehen sollen. Die Bestellung kam zwar super schnell, der Burger war allerdings maximal lauwarm, eher fast kalt und insgesamt höchstens mittelmäßig. Die Kartoffelbeilage war winzig (nur 3 winzig kleine Kartöffelchen mit einem Klecks Quark) also eigentlich nicht erwähnenswert und erst recht nicht der Bezeichnung „Thymian-Kartoffeln“ wert. Die Qualität des Essens war höchstens Bistroniveau, für den Preis keinesfalls gerechtfertigt. Das Ambiente war auch nicht gerade einladend.

Wir sind zufällig an der Bar vorbeigelaufen und spontan für einen Absacker rein gegangen. Der Service war super nett und die Getränke lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir sind eher zufällig vorbeigekommen und spontan ohne Reservierung reingegangen – und es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Super Burger, richtig gute Biere, tolle Musik und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Und als Bonus haben wir dort auch noch ganz zufällig eine uns sehr liebe Person getroffen. Ein rundum gelungener Abend – wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Durch Zufall entdeckt und ich muss sagen: Sehr guter Burger, vom Bun bis zum Fleisch hat alles gepasst. Der Coleslaw und die Rosmarinkartoffeln sind ebenfalls sehr lecker . Preis ist i,O. und der Chef war ebenfalls sehr nett. 2026 immer noch Top und sehr lecker. Danke

Es ist genauso, wie ich es in Erinnerung hatte. Essen top, Getränke top, Service und Ambiente top. Ca-Ba-Lu, ein gelungenes Throw Back.

Sehr leckere Burger und Drinks, kleine Tische mit hohen Stühlen im kleinen Innenraum, gemütliches Barambiente, sehr aufmerksamer Service, auch draußen gibt es einige Plätze. Ein toller Ort um in den Feierabend zu starten. NACHTRAG: Wir haben mal wieder das Restaurant besucht. Alle der oben genannten positiven Aspekte waren immer noch vorhanden. Jedoch waren wir mit dem B-My Gutscheinbuch da. Wir haben dieses am Anfang nicht vorgezeigt, da das in anderen Restaurants nie gefordert wird (wir nutzen es schon mehrere Jahre). Uns wurde dann bei der Bezahlung relativ unfreundlich und süffisant klar gemacht, dass die Benutzung nicht mehr möglich ist. Das und vor allem der Umgang mit uns hat uns enttäuscht. Wir werden das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

Das Essen war wirklich gut – die Burger waren lecker und wir waren zunächst rundum zufrieden. Leider wurde der positive Eindruck am Ende durch die Bezahlung getrübt. Wir hatten mehrere B-MY Gutscheinbücher dabei (2 Burger zum Preis von einem) und wollten die Gutscheine einlösen. Der Inhaber wies uns jedoch recht unfreundlich darauf hin, dass man dies vorher hätte sagen müssen und dass er es nun nicht mehr abrechnen könne. Was uns dabei besonders gestört hat, war weniger die Entscheidung an sich (wir haben es tatsächlich nicht vorher "angemeldet", war aber bei anderen Restaurants noch nie ein Problem) sondern die Art und Weise: eher unfreundlicher Ton, kein „Tut mir leid, das geht leider nicht mehr“. Dadurch fühlten wir uns ziemlich vor den Kopf gestoßen. Schade, denn das Essen war top – am Umgang und an der Kommunikation mit Gästen sollte aber definitiv gearbeitet werden. Für mich leider ein Grund das Restaurant nicht mehr zu besuchen.

Die Burger waren in Ordnung, aber der Besuch war enttäuschend. Sie waren Teil des B-My-Gutscheinhefts (50 % Rabatt auf zwei Burger), doch als wir den Gutschein am Ende vorzeigten, wurde er abgelehnt. Man sagte uns, er müsse am Anfang vorgezeigt werden. Kein anderes Restaurant hat das je verlangt, und wir hatten das Gutscheinheft direkt nach dem Betreten des Restaurants auf dem Tisch liegen, noch bevor wir bestellten.

Der Espresso Martini war hervorragend 😋Die zwei charmanten Männer an der Bar waren herzlich, aufmerksam und super freundlich. Wie schön alles miteinander harmoniert…man spürt richtig, wie gut sie sich gegenseitig unterstützen. Insgesamt ist es sehr nett in der Bar, man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Absolut empfehlenswert 🥰

Nette Bar, aber unhöfliches, gastfeindliches Personal gegenüber Italienern. Sie wollen einem die Preisliste nicht zeigen, um einem das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Und das alles ohne Quittung. Ein Jägermeister kostet 10 €?

Wenn ihr in der Nähe des Englischen Gartens lecker essen möchtet, solltet ihr unbedingt bei CA-BA-LU vorbeischauen. Nachdem ihr den Surfern zugeschaut habt, ist es der perfekte Ort für einen Zwischenstopp, bevor ihr in die U-Bahn steigt. Der normale Burger ist der Hammer! Er hat die perfekte Größe, um satt zu werden, besonders mit den Kartoffeln als Beilage. Das sind keine typischen Pommes – sie schmecken sogar noch besser. Der Burger ist standardmäßig medium gebraten. Wenn ihr euer Fleisch also lieber etwas gegarter mögt, sagt einfach Bescheid. Und probiert unbedingt den hauseigenen Vanille-Gin-Tonic mit Beeren. Er ist so frisch und passt perfekt zu eurem Essen.

CA-BA-LU has some really great burgers! It's a fairly small place, probably with room for around 15-20 people inside, but it has a very quaint and atmospheric decor. This means service doesn't take long, and you can watch the patty sizzling on the grill. Sides and drinks were also good, and the different portion sizes mean you can find something for both small and large appetites. Plus, the restaurant is right next to the subway station (impossible to miss), so you arrive almost dry even in the rain.

Aside from the delicious burgers and more, the real highlight is the owners of this charming restaurant. Modern yet intimate. You feel right at home, and home-style food doesn't taste any better. Always happy to return when you want to feel truly comfortable and indulge in culinary delights. Mmmmm, delicious!

A little gem, the ambiance is almost reminiscent of a classic Irish pub: small and intimate. We sat outside in glorious weather and had truly amazing burgers. The fact that they didn't come with fries was a nice and tasty change.

We spent two evenings there. Super friendly owners, great atmosphere, and delicious homemade food. We'll visit again next time we're in Munich :)

I was invited to KA-BA-LU for a special birthday. At first, the location right next to the subway station seemed unusual, but within a few minutes, I forgot about that. The service was very attentive, and all drink requests were fulfilled. Since it was a private party and there were no other guests present, new burgers were simply brought out on large trays until everyone was full. The burgers were well-filled, juicy, and delicious. Afterwards, there was dessert, including a chocolate tart. Delicious! The restaurant itself isn't large, but it exudes a cozy atmosphere. I'd love to come back!

Super fast service, never had a burger that didn't taste great, definitely try the homemade coleslaw with cucumbers - a poem. And very relaxed lounge music in a lovingly furnished restaurant. 10/10... What more could you want.

Burgers good. Supplement too little. 2 potatoes are simply not enough for a burger with a side dish for €18. Beer Max 0.33 L for €4.50. Price performance is maximally okay Don't come back.

Yes, small but nice, exquisite drinks, top service whether alone or with several people. The burgers are homemade delicacies.

Very nice little location with extremely tasty burgers! I was there for the second time (with two others who came here for the first time) and was thrilled again. Very special requests regarding food were also taken into account and an extra burger was put together that was really tasty. That was very nice and super uncomplicated. You can watch the preparation of food and drinks at the bar. There is a clean toilet, everything is nicely furnished, but you should make a reservation because the rooms don't offer much space, but are understandably very popular. There is a huge selection of gins - I tried the Black Gin: highly recommended! Conclusion: gladly again!

Absolute recommendation! The owners are incredibly friendly and create a really pleasant atmosphere. You can tell that everything here is done and managed with a lot of love. The drinks are also exceptionally good!

Burger was ok! But I've also eaten better ones. The potato side dish is an absolute joke - 2 potatoes in a dipping bowl as well as a tablespoon of coleslaw which you can order separately. It's definitely not for a hungry man. Otherwise the ambience is fine, small and cozy.

Nothing special, no english menu, food is average, burger that I ate was Acapulco and it was dry, no taste of quacamole. It is very expensive for my taste.

Made a mistake, paid for the mistake...

One of the most beautiful places in Munich! Preferably with the Ca-Ba-Lu lemonade and one of the delicious burgers. Although the vegan and vegetarian versions taste great, you should definitely try the Tingeltangel.

Everything fits there. Nice vibe. Yummy. It's comfortable inside or outside. We always enjoy visiting cabalu.

The cocktails are quite tasty, only the Magerita wasn't so good, without ice... The cheeseburger was also good just a little spicy. The restaurant is right next to the subway, so it is not suitable for large groups as there is little space.

Mega store, best burgers in Munich with a head start, delicious, fresh, simply tastes great.

Food is very poorly presented, bread comes broken, hamburger is a lot smaller than the bread. The service is bad, even with the restaurant empty, they will give you a bad look if you don’t order one dish per person. And at the end they just say they only take cash.

Great friendly and very funny team always eat outstandingly, especially the plum burger to eat 🤤🤤🤤 Espresso Martini my personal recommendation! The better way to try is to study! The burgers really aren't bad; Around €12 for warmed packets of chips with a dollop of “guacamole” are borderline. In any case, it wouldn't be bad for the operators (presumably; at least the two gentlemen who mainly serve) not to always give guests the feeling that they are actually being disturbed. Space for four? Yes, if necessary, but only here and not there and not here anyway and your backpack gets in the way too. No salad on the burger? No problem, you still get salad. Btw.: you can do your own thing and be confident in yourself, but then the burger shouldn't be raw inside (raw, not medium) ;)

We were supposed to have had a nice evening in private today. The agreed amount was €2,000 for everything, for a total of around 30 people. If there were more, we would pay this individually, but we did not assume that this would be necessary. However, we underestimated how much both food and drinks were forced on us. In the end, more than 100 burgers were provided for around 30 people and more and more were added, even though the guests had no longer needed them for a long time. All in all, we ended up being charged just over €3,000. Some of the guests left after just 1-2 hours. Where the €100 in sales per person would come from is actually a mystery to us, but we paid it because we just wanted to enjoy the evening. After we had paid the amount that was significantly higher than agreed, we scraped together the last of our money to at least give the staff a small tip. Thereupon we were gossiped about behind our backs, but clearly audibly. In our opinion, we were completely ripped off here because a lot was forced on us that no one actually ordered and no one wanted. In addition, at a later hour, despite the closed company, additional people came into the bar who smoked in the bar with the owners and took part in the gossip. Their drinks were probably also billed to us. My friend, who celebrated her 30th birthday here and just wanted a nice evening, was, in my opinion, ripped off and treated badly and ultimately left the bar crying. So I can only say: no thanks and never again!

Last night we went to the bar for a friend's birthday. The bar was reserved exclusively for the birthday. Basically it was a very nice evening, only when it came to paying, the owner suddenly showed his different face. My friend had paid a flat rate of €2000 in advance for around 30 people. In the end, the owner demanded an additional €1,000. My friend was a bit surprised because it wasn't entirely clear how this amount came about, but she paid without discussion. She scraped together the rest of her cash to pay by card and left all the tips she could with that amount. We thought everyone would be happy with that until the owner complained to his friends who were smoking at the bar (who weren't actually invited to the party) that the tip was too small. An action that I find incredibly unnecessary and wrong. With a turnover of over €3000 for 30 people, which was not even clearly shown, treating the paying customer like that is impossible! Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended!
