Ruff's Burger in München

Best burgers (smashed or not) fries (regular and sweet) & onion rings EVER!! In our 15 day stay we visited Ruff’s 3 times. 😃 The evening special is great. The staff is always super fun and friendly. Our family highly recommends Ruff’s, especially this location.

Got turned away at 9:30 PM when closing time that day was at 10. (It wasn’t even dark btw :) ) Not like having some burgers would take more than 30 mins.

The staff is attentive and friendly. The hamburgers are successful, giggly is my favorite. The prices are reasonable for Munich standards.

Overpriced dog food in burger shape

The burger was good but I can't say it was very good. The bun was a little stale. The Belgian style fries were delicious, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. When I asked the waiter if they had hot sauce, he said yes but then they said they didn't. The fact that there were all kinds of sauces but not the most important one for me was a bit disappointing. The beers were good.

Super friendly staff and always great food. The new pastrami fries are amazing.

Horrible! For 1 (ONE) takeaway burger with fries I waited an hour. I love ruffburgers but just dont recommend this one!!!!!

The burgers are delicious, but the wait time to receive the order is very long (I waited almost an hour) and the fries were already cold. It's better to look for other alternatives; it wastes too much time.

We had to wait a bit for a table, but it was absolutely worth it. It was the best burger I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is very pleasant and nice, and the staff is very friendly too. The prices are very reasonable if you choose the lunch menu, which is available until 5 p.m. After that, there's the evening menu, which is more expensive. All in all, a very good place, worth a visit; I'll be back myself.

The food was absolutely amazing, the cheese burger was super flavorful and the raspberry lemonade was very refreshing. My only complaint is that our order took an unusually long time to arrive, I don’t know if it was a particularly busy day or if they were short-staffed, but the wait felt like forever.

The food is delicious and comes quickly. I don't think you can really sit down. If you just want a quick bite to eat, I highly recommend this place.

The food and drinks were great and the waitresses were all super friendly and helpful at this location. I came to Munich 6 months ago on business and loved their burgers then. I could not wait to come back, and sure enough, the food is still fantastic. As an American I thought we did burgers pretty well. Turns out we don’t. Ruff’s burgers and fries are better than most restaurant level burgers back in the states. Highly recommend.

I had the food delivered. I honestly don't know if you can even call what I got food anymore. The roll was soggy, the "salad" was a carelessly slapped-on piece of stalk, and the whole thing arrived ice cold—as if it had never been anywhere near a grill.

Very good hamburger. Excellent. The fries were dry and hard. Bad fries. The place was very crowded. Looks like a popular place. Service was slow due to the number of people inside. I liked the hamburger, but it was a little bit too crowded for me.

On May 7, 2025 at 5 p.m. I went to this restaurant after a day of sightseeing in Munich and it was the best decision I made, delicious burgers and excellent, friendly and very professional service.

I really enjoyed the service and the wonderful tailgate that's in the decor. Unfortunately, the burger was bitter with old butter and the potatoes were overcooked. But the server was very accommodating, and I would give this place another chance. The lemonade there was good, as were the refreshments.

I’ve visited Ruff Burger twice, and both times the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great for hanging out. It's located right in the center of downtown, so it’s easy to get to. Since it's a chain, opinions may vary, but personally, I found the sauce a bit bland — it had that pre-made feel, without any unique mix of flavors. Of course, this might depend on what you order.

Honestly one of the best burger shops in Munich – Ruff’s in Glockenbach impresses across the board Ruff’s Burger in Glockenbach is a hit every time for me. The burgers are juicy, perfectly grilled and creatively put together - you can just taste the quality here. The buns are also great, not too soft, not too firm – just to the point. Particularly positive: The service is friendly, attentive and authentic - you really feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, urban, fits the area perfectly and invites you to relax and linger. The fries (especially the sweet potato version) and homemade dips round the whole thing off perfectly. For me it's the ideal place for honest comfort food in a prime location. Unreserved recommendation – everything fits here!

I think it is a very good restaurant. First of all, all the staff smile to the guests, and the ordering staff is more friendly and guides the ordering (after all, besides not understanding German for the first time, I am not sure how to order the set meal), I ordered a set meal that suits me very well. The burger meat is very fragrant. The service staff will also smile or ask if they like the meal. The whole environment is very comfortable and relaxing. If you are late, you can have a cocktail. In short, it is a highly recommended burger restaurant

The food is delicious. The problem is that they do not change the gloves. There are blond men who work in the branch. He is never clean. Everything he keeps with the same gloves and he does not change it. This is the thing that made me disgusted by it. Other than that, the female employees are very polite, but the man treats the cook badly, but he is never a clean person!!! I am sorry that this is a restaurant that has lowered its standard due to cleanliness

I am very pleasantly surprised, they said 7 minutes, but after 6:20 minutes the burger was already ready.

Amazing burger. As an American I can say this was one of the best smash burgers I have ever had. The fries were nice and crispy and well salted. Servers spoke great English and accommodated changes to the menu items. Hard to say anything negative about this place.

Ordered here. Something's wrong here. Fries ordered were different fries than those sold in the store. Burgers were also packaged differently and were really disgusting. I always liked it in the store. Does the delivery service come from a second kitchen? Never order it was really disgusting and for 40€ for 2 burgers it was also a rip-off because of the quality that should have been shown to the health department. As I said, the burgers, fries and packaging are all different on site.

The waitress was totally unfriendly and brought the wrong items, instead of one item she brought 5, and didn't want to serve us at all. We asked for salt 3 times and were ignored

Worst service I had in Munich! Burgers are good, but you can’t enjoy them when you have to wait 15 mins to get your order and wait another 40 mins for them to get done. (I’m pretty sure the waitress forgot them, it wasn’t that full and people that came after us got their food before us.) And guess what happens when you want to pay? You wait, but this time they don’t come at all, but you can try threatening that you will leave that works well. I just don’t understand why it is necessary 😃 If you wanna try the food just order for home not worth spoiling your mood. Ps. I was a regular before, but would be more than happy to find another burger place after this terrible experience.

We had reserved a table for 8 p.m. and were 15 minutes early. Since it was very busy and hectic inside, we waited outside. Two groups of two people who came after us and were waiting inside still received attention before us. The first group after us even got a table before us, and only after I went back in and pointed out that we were waiting outside were we taken into account. As a guest you simply wish there was better organization. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. We had three burgers and a portion of bacon cheese fries. The fries were completely soaked in fat. The cheese sauce tasted good, but the fries would have benefited from a little more bacon. The burger buns were not good at all. Overall very doughy in the mouth - not a pleasant consistency. The pickles tasted like hot dog pickles from IKEA and didn't go well with the burgers at all. The smashburger was poorly made: no real roasted flavor, no crispy edges, and far too much ketchup and not enough mustard. The taste of the double cheese was barely noticeable. The other two burgers were the Crunchy Chicken and the Korean Spicy Chicken. The Crunchy Chicken and Korean Spicy Chicken had good meat and breading, but the bad bun unfortunately ruined the entire burger experience. Finally we had a cheesecake. It was okay - obviously not a homemade cake, but okay. Better buns, different pickles and more heat for the Smashburger could raise the level significantly. Overall, we can't fully understand the many good reviews. Other burger joints in the neighborhood definitely do better.

I'm a fan of the burgers and was hoping that the burgers in the various branches would be consistently good. However, I was incredibly disappointed in this branch. It felt like a completely different burger. The meat (which I usually love so much) was dry and the bun was old... It's a real shame...

I placed a to-go order from this burger joint today and was extremely disappointed. The burger bun was old, the cheeseburger meat was unseasoned and barely fried. The fries were also dry and obviously not fresh. Overall the quality of the food was extremely poor.

I just ordered from there and unfortunately I threw away the burger after 3 bites, it's just a huge burger with no taste, it's really very inedible, it's a shame and I also waited a really long time, unfortunately for nothing...

The ambience is quaint but too narrow, too loud and too stuffy. Service was super nice, the menu was a bit confusing, the food was pretty random, but today the sweet potato fries weren't even recognizable as such: something between jet black and dark brown, dry, burnt. I took the food with me and didn't notice the condition of the fries until later due to time constraints, otherwise I would definitely have sent them back. A lot of money for no service!

The burgers were mediocre and not good quality. The chicken wings for €12.50 were an absolute disaster, dry and tasteless. The fries? What a disgrace! Way too hard, completely over-fried. The truffle fries in particular for €7.50 were a disappointment and a complete disappointment in terms of taste. The store is far too small for that, there is hardly any space, and the atmosphere doesn't invite you to linger. Value for money? Underground! Never again.

If you love good burgers and good service, this is the place for you.

At the beginning there was a Caesar burger and fries with mayo... at the end I treated myself to a BBQ burger. Both burgers are cooked to perfection, but I prefer the Caesar burger, I haven't experienced such a juicy and delicious combination of burgers in a long time!

Very friendly, courteous service. Extravagant burgers with excellent quality. The garlic and truffle fries are super delicious. Cocktails and homemade lemonades are a creative addition to the offering. The lunch menu is a very good offering. Also for students. Although the burger grill is right in the dining room and is therefore a real eye-catcher, you don't smell like grease afterwards. Unfortunately the chosen spot was a bit drafty.

Best burger I ever has in my life lots of customer but staff still nice, really please by their great attitude. The place is bit clamp so I deduct 1 star from Atmosphere cat.
