OK Burgers Terrible service We went tonight with a larger group of friends. It was easy to book at table online. However, the food was just OK : the meat was pretty dry for a "medium rare" and the sweet potatoes fries lacked some crunchyness. Worse, we got "scammed" while paying : in principle, there is a "diner menu" which gives you a discount if you take both fries and cocktail on top of your burger. This was not applied while paying. When we complained, we were told that "we should have said it directly when we ordered" (which would have been tough as they first asked for our drinks and only came back 15mn later to finally take our orders). They, of course, didn't reimburse us and barely apologised. Overall an underwhelming experience.

One of the most delicious burgers I have ever had. Staff were so nice. The chef was very friendly.

Unfortunately, I wasn't very satisfied with my order. The food arrived very cold, and I couldn't eat one dish because they hadn't taken my stated allergy into account. I did notice it early enough, but they really need to pay attention to things like that; it can be dangerous! Since I had ordered online, I'm still giving it 3 stars. I think I definitely could have complained about the food if I had eaten it in the restaurant.

The delivered burgers were cold and the avocado burgers were very dry :(((

We were served by a very nice waiter, the decor is beautiful, you feel very comfortable, and the food was excellent.

Delicious burgers and great, friendly staff. Our kids wanted to go there twice in a row because it was so good. The lunch menu is also really good (15€ for a burger, fries, and a drink). Open kitchen...you can see everything being prepared.

Decent burgers and Belgian fries, sweet potato was crunchy like a brick. In a semi-empty restaurant it took waiter with red hair 10 min to just slap the menus on the table. After the first order we couldt catch a waiter to ask the eta for the second one. After waiter asking other tables if they food tasted good and basically ignoring us we decided that it would be more efficient to pay for the order with an other waiter.

Very, very friendly staff, the food is delicious and truly filling. Beautiful decor, and the staff gives the impression that the customer truly is king. Xenja is particularly nice, and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into making her customers feel comfortable! Thank you :)

Mega burgers... These burgers are amazing. I've never eaten anything like them before. We ate there twice. Both times they were equally delicious 👍 The staff is also super friendly. I highly recommend the lunch menu.

The tall lady serving this evening was just faultless and very charming. Food also top tier. Possible one of the best burgers I've had and accompanied by some freezing cold beer.

Such a greasy portion of fries! Probably fried twice and reheated. The service was really bad!!! Our table wasn't even wiped down! The two waitresses were totally unfriendly, especially the one with the big hoop earrings. I really don't understand how this place got so many positive reviews. The burgers were also terrible, and the whole place didn't seem clean at all. Never again!

Good food, the smash burger was made spot on. The Mexican fries were really good also. Customer service skills are quite lacking. Staff were quite rude, not only to us, however to the table next to us. So you wonder is leaving a tip is even necessary. Regardless of it being October Fest or not, if you don’t understand that large amount of your economy is based on tourism, you shouldn’t work in fast food industry. 3 stars because of 5 star food, if only on service then probably 1 star.

My husband always says it's delicious there, but when I told them I have a pork allergy, I got a cold burger and the bread was old and very dry. That was a very bad experience for me.

The chicken burger was crispy and delicious, and the beef burger was also delicious, but the fries were cold. You deserve 4 stars. For your information, I rarely rate a place with more than 4 stars. It's worth a try if you're in Munich.

Honestly, I liked the place when I was there. The food is delicious. On the downside, I got food poisoning. Why am I so sure it was because of their food? Because it was a late breakfast, and I hadn't eaten anything before or after. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and French fries - no issues with the Caesar, the chicken was well-done, juicy, maybe something with the sauce. The fries were very oily, and I guess it was either that or the truffle sauce. I don't know, I can only guess. My day was ruined, it was just unpleasant I have mixed feelings, because the salad was really tasty, and the prices were minimal, and the atmosphere and service were pretty good. I hope no one will have to deal with this in the future.

The burger bun is very soft and the meat is very tasty. It is among the best hamburgers I have ever eaten. The sweet potato fries were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was obvious from the wall painting on the building that it was located that it would be high quality :)

We just went out for burgers. Positive: The sweet potato fries were really great, especially with the truffle mayo. The server was also very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the burgers were extremely cold, as if they had come straight from the refrigerator. We told the server, who immediately offered us a new burger – we thought that was very fair, but we declined because the old one would have ended up in the trash otherwise. The burger tasted good. What really bothered us, however, was that the burger cook yelled at us in a very rude tone that she couldn't make the burgers any better. In our opinion, that's completely unacceptable and unfortunately spoiled the overall impression. One other thing worth noting: It was interesting that the server mentioned in the kitchen that the burgers were indeed cold – apparently, this problem had occurred more often today.

There are many flavors of burgers to choose from, and the lunch set meal is a good deal with burgers, fries and drinks.

Very good food but they only bring a glass of water for free and not for everyone. I don't understand why in this country that has so much water, you need to sell land to quench your thirst

Just wow! I had a classic smash burger and it was extremely delicious. Also fries and lemonade was fairly good. A total recommended. Quick service and fair prices.

The NY Pastrami burger was delicious. As a Belgian, I loved the Belgian fries; the sweet potato fries were fantastic! A very warm welcome and great service. It's also a nice place to sit with small children.

That was the best burger I've ever eaten! I had the Vegan Smoky BBQ Burger, which was amazing, especially the onions, and the fries and sauces were great too. Also, the staff was super friendly.

They made me pay double and even though I kindly asked for a refund of one of the two payments they told me that it would be automatic or to send an email if it didn't arrive.. it never arrived I sent an email and called they told me they would make me a PayPal but this never arrived either. You don't behave like that

The burger is very delicious. I tried the hot spicy chicken and the crispy spicy chicken. I liked it the most, especially with the smashed potatoes. It tasted delicious. *I didn't like the fries. I felt they weren't fresh and were tough.

The best cocktail bar in town. I happened upon this hidden gem with friends. The waitress politely said hello every time she brought the basil smash or the apricot schnapps to our table. Oh, and the sweets with lime mayo were delicious too. Every €550 I spent there was worth it. I'd love to go back!! And best wishes to Laura (from Tobi)

Best burgers (smashed or not) fries (regular and sweet) & onion rings EVER!! In our 15 day stay we visited Ruff’s 3 times. 😃 The evening special is great. The staff is always super fun and friendly. Our family highly recommends Ruff’s, especially this location.

Got turned away at 9:30 PM when closing time that day was at 10. (It wasn’t even dark btw :) ) Not like having some burgers would take more than 30 mins.

The staff is attentive and friendly. The hamburgers are successful, giggly is my favorite. The prices are reasonable for Munich standards.

Overpriced dog food in burger shape

The burger was good but I can't say it was very good. The bun was a little stale. The Belgian style fries were delicious, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. When I asked the waiter if they had hot sauce, he said yes but then they said they didn't. The fact that there were all kinds of sauces but not the most important one for me was a bit disappointing. The beers were good.

The burgers are delicious, but the wait time to receive the order is very long (I waited almost an hour) and the fries were already cold. It's better to look for other alternatives; it wastes too much time.

The food was absolutely amazing, the cheese burger was super flavorful and the raspberry lemonade was very refreshing. My only complaint is that our order took an unusually long time to arrive, I don’t know if it was a particularly busy day or if they were short-staffed, but the wait felt like forever.

The prices are very reasonable if you choose the lunch menu, which is available until 5 p.m. After that, there's the evening menu, which is more expensive. All in all, a very good place, worth a visit; I'll be back myself.

The food and drinks were great and the waitresses were all super friendly and helpful at this location. I came to Munich 6 months ago on business and loved their burgers then. I could not wait to come back, and sure enough, the food is still fantastic. As an American I thought we did burgers pretty well. Turns out we don’t. Ruff’s burgers and fries are better than most restaurant level burgers back in the states. Highly recommend.

I had the food delivered. I honestly don't know if you can even call what I got food anymore. The roll was soggy, the "salad" was a carelessly slapped-on piece of stalk, and the whole thing arrived ice cold—as if it had never been anywhere near a grill.

On May 7, 2025 at 5 p.m. I went to this restaurant after a day of sightseeing in Munich and it was the best decision I made, delicious burgers and excellent, friendly and very professional service.

I really enjoyed the service and the wonderful tailgate that's in the decor. Unfortunately, the burger was bitter with old butter and the potatoes were overcooked. But the server was very accommodating, and I would give this place another chance. The lemonade there was good, as were the refreshments.

I’ve visited Ruff Burger twice, and both times the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great for hanging out. It's located right in the center of downtown, so it’s easy to get to. Since it's a chain, opinions may vary, but personally, I found the sauce a bit bland — it had that pre-made feel, without any unique mix of flavors. Of course, this might depend on what you order.

Honestly one of the best burger shops in Munich – Ruff’s in Glockenbach impresses across the board Ruff’s Burger in Glockenbach is a hit every time for me. The burgers are juicy, perfectly grilled and creatively put together - you can just taste the quality here. The buns are also great, not too soft, not too firm – just to the point. Particularly positive: The service is friendly, attentive and authentic - you really feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, urban, fits the area perfectly and invites you to relax and linger. The fries (especially the sweet potato version) and homemade dips round the whole thing off perfectly. For me it's the ideal place for honest comfort food in a prime location. Unreserved recommendation – everything fits here!
