An incredibly beautiful shop with super friendly staff. It felt like coming home, even though we'd never been there before. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last ❤️

Honestly, what you sent out today is an absolute disgrace. We've ordered from you often, and the food was great for a long time, but it's been going downhill for the last month. But today's order takes the cake. The patties were completely burnt and rock hard! It's such an outrage to even send something like that. It's a real shame. I hope this is a warning shot!

The Smashed Classic alone, with Martin's Potato Bun, 2 x 75g regional beef, 2 x cheddar, lettuce, onions, pickles, butter sauce, ketchup & mustard, is a premium Big Mac on steroids! 12/10!

We needed a really last-minute option for two people on a Saturday evening. Luckily, two people didn't show up for a reserved table. Otherwise, you should definitely make a reservation. The service was super friendly, the food was delicious, and I thought the fries were absolutely fantastic. The price was perfectly reasonable.

A new special burger? Count me in! This time I had the super delicious Hot Honey Chicken with wonderfully crispy chicken strips. Very tasty, and the service was, as always, quick and friendly! The lighting wasn't ideal for food photos, but it made the place all the more cozy. I'll definitely be back!

A great pub with a wide selection of beers – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The burgers and fresh finger food are definitely a highlight. You can tell that great attention to detail goes into creating fantastic fast food. Vegetarians and vegans will find plenty to enjoy here, as will passionate meat eaters!

I recently visited Butjer burgers with my girlfriend and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The burgers were delicious, well-seasoned, and freshly prepared; we were particularly impressed by the combinations and the quality of the meat. The service from Yana and Angelika was consistently excellent. We received a friendly welcome, helpful advice, and assistance in choosing our meals. Their recommendations perfectly suited our tastes. The restaurant's atmosphere was also pleasant, and the wait times were short. Overall, a very positive experience; we'll definitely be back!

One of the best burger joints in Hanover. Definitely the best smash burger place.

Butjers is a smaller version of its sister restaurant, The Harp, and offers only a relatively large pub-style dining area with limited seating. They serve smaller and larger smash burgers, as well as a variety of fries and a few extras. There's also a rotating special burger, which isn't advertised very well in the restaurant; you have to ask about it. Tuesdays are always quizzes, and the atmosphere is pleasantly cozy. The small burger was a bit too dry for my taste, but the mac and cheese was wonderfully cheesy and creamy. Overall, I found it a bit pricey considering the size of the burgers. Unfortunately, the currywurst, both the meat and vegan versions, wasn't to my liking.

We'll definitely be back. Since we rarely eat out due to our competitive sport (bodybuilding), we always look for places that are hopefully really tasty. (You get very picky hahaha 😂) But the burgers were perfect. Juicy, tasty, and truly smashed. The beer was great too – and we received great advice from a young, blonde lady. She, by the way, also knew everything and was able to explain everything to us… that's rare these days, and so you really appreciate it when you're served by such great service!

A very nice little place with extremely friendly and attentive staff. We've been here several times for the pub quiz (every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.) and have always had a really good time with delicious food and good drinks. Vegans also get their money's worth here; many burgers are also available in vegan versions! Delicious!

The food is truly delicious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, there are very long wait times during peak hours. While they fairly warn you at the beginning that it might take longer—they initially said it would take about 60 minutes—this has, however, turned into 90 minutes or more on several occasions, both when ordering via Wolt and when eating in. In addition, the last delivery forgot the fries, which, according to Wolt, couldn't be restocked because the amount was too low. Therefore, Butjer is only recommended if you come during off-peak hours or if you have a lot of patience.

The pea protein patties (available as an alternative to the meat patty) taste great smashed. The fries are nice and crispy and can also be combined with vegan sauces. The service staff is friendly and cheerful, and the location may be right on the street, but the noise level is perfectly acceptable!

Unfortunately, I also have to say that I was at Butjer recently and had to wait a full 60 minutes for my order. It's not nice to take orders and then say it will take 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, I arrived and was told I would have to wait another 15 minutes. Sure, the staff is nice, but I don't understand this. I mean, it's two burgers and a portion of fries, why does it take 75 minutes? There were maybe 10 people in the store. In this store, it's only worth calling the moment they open and ordering directly. The food is good, of course, no question about it. But it works smoothly in other stores, too, even though some of them are even busier.

If you're willing to wait forever for your food, this is the place for you. At 6:40 p.m., we were told we'd have to wait 40 minutes for our food. At 7:40 p.m., we still hadn't received our food. After asking, quite normally and politely, where our food was, because other guests who had arrived after us had already had theirs, I was then told it would take another 10 minutes. I asked if we could cancel our meal because we were going to the concert at the Capitol at 7:45 p.m. Out of nowhere, the bartender intervened and accused me, as a customer, of being disrespectful. For me, disrespectful is waiting 60 minutes for a simple burger and fries, while in the meantime, the Wolt driver serves four people who ordered. If I, as a restaurant, have limited capacity and am aware of this fact, I simply can't continue to milk the cow for profit by ordering food if it means restaurant guests have to wait 60 minutes for a fast-food meal. Never again from this place for me.

Our bartender was really great and even treated us to a Mexican on the house – really nice! 🌶️ The atmosphere was totally relaxed, and you can tell they work with passion. Definitely recommend it – we'll definitely be back! 🙌

Very tasty burgers, even if you order them. And on a positive note, I just tried to order on Sunday evening, but was refused because they didn't have enough space... I find that much better than waiting an hour and a half for the food and then being told it's not possible...

If you want to experience really good smash burgers, a relaxed atmosphere, and staff who aren't afraid to crack a joke, this is the place to go. Tuesdays are especially worth a visit. The beer and burgers taste twice as good during the pub quiz. Compared to the Harb, it's much more cozy, quiet, and intimate. Perfect for enjoying a relaxed evening. Ehrenburger also regularly surprises with creative concoctions that are always worth a try. P.S. I would always recommend two sauces with the fries; one is usually not enough ;)

Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. No more Martin's potato buns; the new ones aren't as good. They also taste more and more like frozen food these days, and the prices are pretty high for the quality. It's a shame.

The only thing that bothers me is that at the end when you want to pay you are asked if you want to give a tip. You are put in an uncomfortable situation and in a sense "forced" to have the nerve to ask for a tip.

But then the Butjer came into my life—and suddenly everything I previously considered a "burger" was just sad minced meat between two buns. The first bite? I'll tell you how: I had tears in my eyes. Not from pain, but from a kind of culinary enlightenment you usually only experience on the Camino de Santiago or at yoga retreats. I swear, for a moment, I heard angelic choirs—or was that just the grill? The burger was so smashed that I almost wanted to apologize to it. And yet: every crumb, every drop of sauce redefined my existence. The fries? Guys, they're so crispy, even chips would turn green with envy. I seriously considered what kind of insurance I needed in case I hurt myself while trying to achieve perfection. And the service? I felt like they'd been waiting just for me. A smile, a comment, a "here's your happiness in a bun" – and that was the best moment of my day. Honestly: Forget Linden, forget Hanover. Butjer is the center of the world. I've already written to travel portals, asking them to offer pilgrimages there. Conclusion: 5 stars aren't enough. I urge the rating system to adjust. At least 12 out of 5. <3 <3 <3

Nice, accommodating service! We chose fish and chips alongside the tasty beer. Then we were informed that they'd run out of vinegar today, so we had fish and chips without vinegar. Good, we thought. Not so bad – the fries and remoulade sauce served with it were hot and decent, respectively – and the cucumber salad we ordered with it was great! The two "fish wedges" – or rather: thick batter with a thin – really thin – fish (?) filling, which was also dry and absolutely tasteless – were unfortunately disappointing. We're used to it. A pub like this doesn't need that, even calling it a classic. I hope the buyer/owner works on this dish or removes it from the menu. Everyone deserves a second chance – we'll wait and see next time! And if in doubt, we'll go for the burger.
