Butjer in Hannover

We ordered two chicken burgers (one of them vegetarian) and sweet potato fries to take away. We are really excited, this was definitely one of the best burgers we have eaten so far. Big compliments to the kitchen. Definitely coming back!

They are the best burgers in Hanover and even better than The Harp because there is simply more choice and the taste is better even though they are the same products. Maybe it's the smashed patties that taste incredible when combined with the sauces. Of course the prices are a bit higher, but I'm happy to accept that because of the overall very good taste and many choices. The Butjer is a very small restaurant but that's exactly what makes it special at the end of the day. Everything seems more familiar. And the staff in particular are very friendly and accommodating. It's worth coming here because you can't eat better burgers anywhere else and I've already eaten burgers in various shops all over Germany!

Currently extremely hyped and booked out nearly every day. Completely deserved tho, the vegetarian smash burgers are an absolute treat, the beers are cold and the staff is fast, funny and helpful. The place being rather small overall does not subtract from the atmosphere, rather enhances the familiar feeling. Hidden star: the fries, glassy, crispy exterior, perfect salt levels and soft on the inside. Make sure to get the cauliflower wings as well.

Great idea from Daniel, he hit my nerve with it. Next to the theharp (my favorite) just under 300 meters away is the Butjer, a great shop, great staff, super delicious food, a little smaller but to the point. Early reservation is highly recommended. The Ehrenburger EL Paso was a dream, everything was perfect, it was a pleasure. The TS Bacon is highly recommended, it was also a dream. ❤️ LG Patrick

These are the best smashed burgers I've eaten in my life! I like to try out well-rated burger shops in the USA and Germany, but so far Hannover is the best with Butjer and The Harp! Word gets around about success, which is why there may be longer waiting times. But every minute is worth it!

We went there spontaneously because it was one of the few restaurants in Linden that was open before 5 p.m. We were warmly welcomed, fortunately got a table and what can I say - it was great! The burgers were juicy, fries were crispy, orders were quick, prices were absolutely great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. This is only surpassed by the friendliness and humorous nature of the employees :-) Until next time 🫶🏻

Very cool shop with charm. Went there for the pub quiz, which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the quiz master wasn't easy to understand because there was a lot going on. Food, drinks and service were top! The Ehrenburger was great.

Burgers are really tasty! The staff is friendly, everything was served quickly- nothing to complain about) Just a nice burger place!

Sometimes there is a lot going on and then you have to wait. But when, after an hour of waiting, the burgers finally arrive and are cold, then all understanding ends. The only thing that topped this was that the patties were burnt. An isolated case? In our case it affected all three burgers with a total of six patties. You have to get that right first: burning burgers and serving them cold - respect. The evening was over, and the good fries and very good sauces couldn't save it.

Incredibly delicious burgers!! One star deducted because you actually hardly get full. This is of course due to the lack of meat (because it is a smashed pattie) So if you're really hungry, I probably wouldn't go there unless you want to spend a lot of money. Service is top.

Brilliant service combined with great food and an even better atmosphere. I spent a really nice evening in a really nice atmosphere and wonderful service... The restaurant is worth recommending and, of course, leaving a tip for the very nice waiter. Regards and I think I'll come back for another 20 shots of vodka someday.

I called to make a reservation for my group and said we would like a table for 5 people. They then wanted to make it clear to us that 5 stools next to each other with a view of the bar were our table. So if you want a table, make sure you get a table on the phone and not stools at the bar. Otherwise, I've been there before and the food is pure orgasm! (Yes, I was told on the phone that you were completely full and that nothing was free before. However, there was never any mention of the counter. On site I was told again that I should mention on the phone that we wanted to sit at a table/couch but in my opinion it should be clear with a reservation of 5 people even if it was spontaneous) I'm giving it 3 stars because the guy on site was correct, but the action with the bar still ruined our evening

Best smash burger in town, by far!! Always friendly service, a wide selection of beer and there is usually sport or something on the TVs. Always happy to come with friends and family!

We were there spontaneously with three people on a Monday evening without a reservation. Luckily we still got a seat at the counter. Therefore my tip: it's better to reserve in advance, as it is a small restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly and took our order quickly. Unfortunately our order took an hour, but I had already read that in advance, so if you're prepared for that, that's fine. The vegetarian burger (Smashed BBQ) was incredibly good! 10/10 This was worth the wait. Good selection of drinks and delicious cider, like in the pub. Price-performance is accordingly appropriate. We would love to come back :)

Rustic atmosphere but the best vegetarian burgers I've tried so far. Everything is perfect, from the crispy patty to the excellent bun to the ratio of toppings to the rest. The selection of drinks is also great (from beer to cider). I actually had to deduct a star for the waiting time. A waiting time of 1 hour is actually not acceptable when at the same time a Wolt driver is delivering burgers every 10 minutes while the local guests are waiting an unusually long time for their food. But the burgers are so good that you can somehow get over it.

It takes a little while, but the wait is worth it! You won't regret it! Some of the best burgers I have eaten in Hannover, approved and recommended!

Small but nice. For me one of the top burger shops in Hanover. Excellent smash burgers, very good service and relaxed pub style atmosphere. There is also some seating outside, but inside is better. At peak times you should definitely make a reservation as there are not that many seats inside.

Super tasty smashed burgers on offer, but they really don't cost much for their size... but are really very tasty. The fries are also very tasty in many combinations. Ambiance is just a pub. Small, nice and clean. Recommendation goes out

Waited over 2 hours for our food. Had ordered. Unfortunately, we were just put off.

Convincing taste. The meat of the smashed burger was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food to then get cold burgers. A piece of bone or something similar got confused in the hangover frieze and a friend almost broke his tooth. The service was visibly overwhelmed and the prices were quite high.

We had dinner here on a Saturday. The restaurant was completely full and we could only sit at the counter, which we were told in advance when we called. Unfortunately, we were immediately told that we would have to wait quite a long time for our food. Seems to be the case here more often than not if you look at the rest of the reviews. I think this also has to do with the delivery service, which also demands more output from the kitchen, which is difficult to achieve. Either way, due to the long wait, we got a shot from the bartender and were able to have a nice chat with him every now and then while he was standing behind the counter. Reservations are definitely recommended here. But we really enjoyed the food, so after the wait we really had nothing to complain about. There was also a good selection of drinks that everyone should be able to find.

Butjer has a large selection of burgers, including vegetarian and vegan. The fries are available in different variations. Everything in itself is very tasty, especially the smashed burgers and the truffle fries. There is always a burger that changes every 3-4 weeks and the kitchen always comes up with unique things, be it a new burger, side dish or dessert. The staff is really friendly and the location is great too. I would definitely go there more often.

Tried it for the first time at the Maschseefest and immediately fell in love! Burgers are great, just the perfect combination of everything. We've already tried a few things on the menu and have always been impressed! Since then, all the other burgers (in other locales) simply don't taste good anymore! Simply perfect, you are doing a great job!!

Were not served after half an hour. When we heard at the table next door that the preparation would take about 40 minutes (there are almost exclusively smashburgers and fries (why so long??)), we decided to leave the shop.

Waiting 40 minutes for 2 burgers was a bit crazy but otherwise everything was good

The price is reasonable and the food is delicious, but I had to wait 40 minutes for a burger, which took a little too long for me.

Tl;dr: Price performance, taste and location are top. Reservation is recommended. Longer version: Eat: The burgers are great and as you can see from the pictures you can actually eat them by hand without cutlery and without a mouth lock. Just like burgers should be. Toppings can also be swapped or added if desired. Service: I'm actually happy with that. You can also get a sip of the beers to try if you're not sure. The deduction is due to payment because certain credit cards don't work here and because the list of ingredients and allergens at the end of the card cannot be read without a magnifying glass. Ambiance: between pub and business. Small but pleasant. A reservation is definitely recommended, no matter what day of the week. If you visit spontaneously, call ahead to see if there is space because the store is really popular and fills up quickly due to the small dining room.

We had an excellent meal here yesterday with a good portion of the family. There were 7 of us, the shop was full and yet we didn't have to wait long at all for food and drinks. Both the vegan and the meat-eating part got their money's worth here. I found the service to be extremely attentive and super nice, the menu was extensive enough and the prices were completely fair. I would be happy to recommend the place, it was a quaint place.

Just ordered two small burgers via a delivery service. The preparation time took over an hour, ridiculously long.

I ordered Martin's buns there. Unfortunately it simply wasn't sent and there was no answer when I asked. Now I have to rely on Paypal buyer protection so that I can see my money again.

I deserved a delicious meal with my friends on a solid Thursday evening. So we boys came here. We searched wildly through the menu and everyone ordered something different. The smash burgers are all a 10/10. There was a cozy atmosphere and the service was quick and great! I can really only recommend it! We will come again!

Cool location and very suitable for the burger offer. On Sunday at 4 p.m. we got a place at short notice and a great burger.

The “Smashed Classic” meal with sweet potato fries and sour cream was good. We were there without a reservation and still got a spot. We were also immediately informed that the meal would take about 30 minutes, which was also the case in retrospect and was okay with me. All in all, a good stop for a burger.

The food is great, we've been going there ever since! Recently, however, you have to wait a long time, even though the place is not at full capacity... One wolt after the other arrives. It's a shame when orders from outside come at the expense of the local business.

Smashed veggie burgers in two price ranges - small 6 euros, large 12 euros. The taste is reminiscent of Burger King (in a positive way!). Spritzers a bit expensive.

The burgers are also available small. Just right for me. And delicious Finally a pub that's open in the afternoon, like in the UK... Scotland. Class

Very good burgers. Not only is the price-performance ratio right, but finally there is no extra charge for a veggie exchange and even with high-quality Beyond Meat patties. The competition can learn a lesson from this. Instead, the argument is that “meat substitutes are so expensive.” Incorrect! Meat is just too cheap. However. Highly recommended!

The kill joppie was okay, the sauce and the fried onions were unfortunately very tasty, so the patty was a bit undercooked. Maybe next time I'll have to get a double patty or the Smash Ronald, unfortunately the loaded fries were a disappointment... I'm wondering how you cool the frozen rippled fries without a freezer... So even though they should be fresh, unfortunately they don't beat frozen fries. Maybe it's better to have two burgers or the normal fries. Otherwise I miss a bit of love in the store.

When it comes to Smashburgers in Hanover, Butjer is the best shop. If you're looking for a delicious smash burger, you've come to the right place. The taste is very good and the prices are also appropriate. The special toast, which was probably a short-term promotion, was very tasty and really something different. The service was very friendly and everything went really quickly, even though the store was relatively full. We'd love to come back.

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:50 p.m. (open until 10 p.m.) and sat outside. The waiter's statement: "Unfortunately we are no longer allowed to accept orders, we now have to go to the Maschseefest and help out there". At Butjers you are a second class guest, the Maschsee Festival comes first. We will definitely never bother you with a visit again....

I recently visited Butjer in Hanover and was absolutely thrilled! The burgers are fantastic – juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The selection of different burger creations is impressive and there is something for every taste. I particularly enjoyed the "Butjer Classic", but the vegetarian options should not be underestimated either. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and modern, ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The service was quick and very friendly. You can tell that the team is passionate about what they do.

Rarely have I had such a delicious burger. The service was warm, quick and attentive. Please think about renovating the sanitary facilities and, if possible, also keep people in wheelchairs in mind. Then 5 stars are more than justified. Until then, 1 star deduction.

I first tried a smashed burger in Hanover. It's actually different, but really tasty. Plus potatoes like in Harp. And what is also important, good and professional service.

It's really just a matter of taste but there was just too much cheese in the burger and on the fries. The chili cheese nugget, plus extra cheese on the burger, is also not my thing. So I couldn't enjoy it. But meat is top notch - and anyone who likes it that way will be very satisfied.

Quiz nights on Tuesdays are very fun and there are even prizes 1st-3rd. Place. Because there is always a lot to do, the waiters came at regular intervals. Only if you arrived a little late and your friends had ordered shortly beforehand did I have to wait until the food was there to order something.

An outstanding burger restaurant with perhaps the best burgers I've ever tasted. Both the classic burgers and the vegetarian alternatives (which are available for every burger) are well prepared and taste fantastic. I always enjoy coming here, but it's worth making a reservation because the shop is very popular.
