Butjer in Hannover

We had an excellent meal here yesterday with a good portion of the family. There were 7 of us, the shop was full and yet we didn't have to wait long at all for food and drinks. Both the vegan and the meat-eating part got their money's worth here. I found the service to be extremely attentive and super nice, the menu was extensive enough and the prices were completely fair. I would be happy to recommend the place, it was a quaint place.

Tl;dr: Price performance, taste and location are top. Reservation is recommended. Longer version: Eat: The burgers are great and as you can see from the pictures you can actually eat them by hand without cutlery and without a mouth lock. Just like burgers should be. Toppings can also be swapped or added if desired. Service: I'm actually happy with that. You can also get a sip of the beers to try if you're not sure. The deduction is due to payment because certain credit cards don't work here and because the list of ingredients and allergens at the end of the card cannot be read without a magnifying glass. Ambiance: between pub and business. Small but pleasant. A reservation is definitely recommended, no matter what day of the week. If you visit spontaneously, call ahead to see if there is space because the store is really popular and fills up quickly due to the small dining room.

Just ordered two small burgers via a delivery service. The preparation time took over an hour, ridiculously long.

I ordered Martin's buns there. Unfortunately it simply wasn't sent and there was no answer when I asked. Now I have to rely on Paypal buyer protection so that I can see my money again.

I deserved a delicious meal with my friends on a solid Thursday evening. So we boys came here. We searched wildly through the menu and everyone ordered something different. The smash burgers are all a 10/10. There was a cozy atmosphere and the service was quick and great! I can really only recommend it! We will come again!

Cool location and very suitable for the burger offer. On Sunday at 4 p.m. we got a place at short notice and a great burger.

The “Smashed Classic” meal with sweet potato fries and sour cream was good. We were there without a reservation and still got a spot. We were also immediately informed that the meal would take about 30 minutes, which was also the case in retrospect and was okay with me. All in all, a good stop for a burger.

The food is great, we've been going there ever since! Recently, however, you have to wait a long time, even though the place is not at full capacity... One wolt after the other arrives. It's a shame when orders from outside come at the expense of the local business.

Smashed veggie burgers in two price ranges - small 6 euros, large 12 euros. The taste is reminiscent of Burger King (in a positive way!). Spritzers a bit expensive.

Very good burgers. Not only is the price-performance ratio right, but finally there is no extra charge for a veggie exchange and even with high-quality Beyond Meat patties. The competition can learn a lesson from this. Instead, the argument is that “meat substitutes are so expensive.” Incorrect! Meat is just too cheap. However. Highly recommended!

The kill joppie was okay, the sauce and the fried onions were unfortunately very tasty, so the patty was a bit undercooked. Maybe next time I'll have to get a double patty or the Smash Ronald, unfortunately the loaded fries were a disappointment... I'm wondering how you cool the frozen rippled fries without a freezer... So even though they should be fresh, unfortunately they don't beat frozen fries. Maybe it's better to have two burgers or the normal fries. Otherwise I miss a bit of love in the store.

When it comes to Smashburgers in Hanover, Butjer is the best shop. If you're looking for a delicious smash burger, you've come to the right place. The taste is very good and the prices are also appropriate. The special toast, which was probably a short-term promotion, was very tasty and really something different. The service was very friendly and everything went really quickly, even though the store was relatively full. We'd love to come back.

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:50 p.m. (open until 10 p.m.) and sat outside. The waiter's statement: "Unfortunately we are no longer allowed to accept orders, we now have to go to the Maschseefest and help out there". At Butjers you are a second class guest, the Maschsee Festival comes first. We will definitely never bother you with a visit again....

I recently visited Butjer in Hanover and was absolutely thrilled! The burgers are fantastic – juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The selection of different burger creations is impressive and there is something for every taste. I particularly enjoyed the "Butjer Classic", but the vegetarian options should not be underestimated either. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and modern, ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The service was quick and very friendly. You can tell that the team is passionate about what they do.

Rarely have I had such a delicious burger. The service was warm, quick and attentive. Please think about renovating the sanitary facilities and, if possible, also keep people in wheelchairs in mind. Then 5 stars are more than justified. Until then, 1 star deduction.

These are the best smashed burgers I've eaten! A diverse selection of burgers and loaded fries with varying honorary burgers. Anyone who places great value on service is in good hands here.

Very tasty smashed burgers with exceptionally good potato buns the way you want them and how they should be! The Garlic Cheese Fries are also highly recommended.

Butjer has a large selection of burgers, including vegetarian and vegan. The fries are available in different variations. Everything in itself is very tasty, especially the smashed burgers and the truffle fries. There is always a burger that changes every 3-4 weeks and the kitchen always comes up with unique things, be it a new burger, side dish or dessert. The staff is really friendly and the location is great too. I would definitely go there more often.

I first tried a smashed burger in Hanover. It's actually different, but really tasty. Plus potatoes like in Harp. And what is also important, good and professional service.

It's really just a matter of taste but there was just too much cheese in the burger and on the fries. The chili cheese nugget, plus extra cheese on the burger, is also not my thing. So I couldn't enjoy it. But meat is top notch - and anyone who likes it that way will be very satisfied.

Quiz nights on Tuesdays are very fun and there are even prizes 1st-3rd. Place. Because there is always a lot to do, the waiters came at regular intervals. Only if you arrived a little late and your friends had ordered shortly beforehand did I have to wait until the food was there to order something.

Both the classic burgers and the vegetarian alternatives (which are available for every burger) are well prepared and taste fantastic. I always enjoy coming here, but it's worth making a reservation because the shop is very popular.

The two of us were there shortly before opening and got a seat inside (Saturday). The shop is small and comfortably furnished. When we arrived there were reserved signs everywhere. If you want to come during peak times, I recommend making a reservation. The food was brought to our table very quickly and was hot :). We had the TS Bacon, Smashed Classic and the Garlic Cheese Fries. The fries were super tasty and can only be recommended. The size is enough for 2 people. I found the TS bacon very tasty. Slightly sweet from the onions and well salted from the bacon. The Classic was tasty, but didn't blow my socks off. The burgers are priced between 6-12 euros. If you're very hungry, you should get two €6 burgers. For my taste, the meat could use a little pepper and be fried a little longer to get a better crispiness. I liked the burger more than at the Harp. I think it's a matter of taste whether you prefer smashed burgers or the classic ones with lots of toppings and a thick patty. Unfortunately, my biggest point of criticism was the drink prices. I found that €3.20 for a 0.2L Pepsi Max was tough. I haven't paid the equivalent of €16 for a liter anywhere. I'll probably take the food with me next time to save on the price of the drink. In summary, I recommend the shop to anyone who likes delicious smashed burgers and especially loaded fries. There are still a few burger places on my list to try. So far, Butjer is the best burger shop in Hanover for me.

We had booked a table for twelve people. Sat outside. However, I imagine something different when it comes to a beer garden. It took a quarter of an hour before we could order. When taking the order they said they would share tables as the kitchen can't finish all the burgers at once. However, we all wanted to eat together and said so, after all we had reserved and we could have arranged for it. That's exactly why you make reservations. We also all ordered burgers. The kitchen apparently managed to finish everything at the same time. The burgers were okay, but not the Börner. Plus, they were far too small for that much money. None of us were full. A 0.2 liter Pepsi for €3.40 isn't exactly cheap either. We wouldn't visit the store again. The food is too expensive, the quality is normal and far too little. Except for the fries, they were really good.

So-so. The service is ok, everything takes a little longer. We were there with a group of 12 at around 7:15 p.m. Food was served about an hour later and we mostly ordered burgers with fries. In my opinion, price/performance is not consistent. Burger for €6-7 with 75g, €12 for 150g patty without side dish. Nothing to fill you up and nothing special, but ok for in between meals. The store itself is quite nice, but nothing more. It's a shame, there probably won't be another visit from us.

The best Smashburger in the city is here - on a par with G. from Berlin. Unfortunately, the shop is much too small so you either have to come at off-peak times (4 p.m.) or you're unlucky because the tables are booked every hour and are fully booked. That speaks for the quality and the service. The beer selection on tap is also very good. Price performance fits.

The burgers are really very tasty. Very well prepared smashburgers with Martin's Buns. But the service last night was really bad. We had booked a table for 7 p.m. The waitress told us that the table was still occupied and that we should wait outside for a moment. At 7:30 p.m., when we asked, a table was finally free. Our order was taken around 7:45 p.m. As compensation for the waiting time, we received a round of schnapps at the end, for which we had to wait at least a quarter of an hour. However, that couldn't console me for the long waiting time and the generally inadequate quality of service.

The Smashed Classic alone with Martin's potato bun, 2x 75g regional beef, 2x cheddar, lettuce, onions, pickled cucumbers, butcher sauce, ketchup & mustard is a premium Big Mac on steroids! 12/10

Good evening, we are very very disappointed. We traveled an extra 70 km towards the evening. We know Butjer and eat there at least once a month. Until now! Unfortunately, an employee of the restaurant was very rude, NO I correct, it was an impertinence the way he treated us. When we entered the shop we asked if there was a table for two, and were told: No, everything is reserved. We answered REAL? Everything full? A pity. The employee cheekily responded with: Do you think I'm kidding you? That was the first impudence. After we got a table outside, he came to the table and wanted to take the order. We saw through the window that a table inside was free and asked nicely if he could offer us this place. He obviously didn't want to look and said: I want to tell you something again. Don't ask me if it's REAL when I tell you everything is full. We were surprised by this sentence because we don't know such etiquette in the catering industry. He came across our mouths very cheekily twice. We discussed at the table, I mean, what's wrong with asking if everything is really full? He became more and more cheeky and said: I'm no longer checking to see if the table inside is free. Do you want to order now or not he said, then we got up and left. 1 hour later I called Butjer and his colleague told me that we had been sent away even though we left voluntarily. We wanted to speak to the managing director, the nice colleague gave us the telephone number and the name of the employee. When we called, we were assured that he would get back to us because he was very busy at the moment. We are still waiting in vain for a response. That's why we now have this feedback. Too bad Butjer. We were happy to come to you. Also registered next week with a larger group. That has now been resolved. Something like that shouldn't happen.

Good selection of dishes in the menu with a nice atmosphere. Nevertheless, the burgers were dry, the fries too, little sauce or vegetables. There was no meat left on the outside of the patty, just burnt liquid. I've been there twice now and am pretty unimpressed. Besides that As a group of 6 people, we were asked every 2 minutes if we would like a new drink.

In my experience I experienced a pleasant atmosphere in a charming restaurant. The burgers were undoubtedly the best I've tried in Hanover so far, especially the Smashed Cosa Nostra Burger with pea protein patty was a delight! The sweet potato fries were also excellent. Still, I have to deduct a few points for the service. While the 30-45 minute wait was expected, our order was accidentally overlooked, resulting in an additional wait. The staff seemed hectic and a bit overwhelmed, but we noticed that the waitress apologized later. Although the place is cozy, there isn't a lot of seating inside, so it's advisable to pre-order, especially on Fridays and weekends. Luckily we managed to get a spot on a Saturday evening even without a reservation. In summer there is also the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Overall, my visit was a positive experience, especially thanks to the delicious burgers and cozy atmosphere. Despite minor service issues, I would recommend this place, especially for burger lovers and football fans.

Wow, my visit to Butjers was simply amazing! The Smashed Ts Bacon and the Chili Cheese Burger were very tasty - the meat is of a very good quality and was cooked very well, the bacon was super crispy and the combination of ingredients was simply perfect. The atmosphere in the store is totally inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. The team there was extremely friendly and responded to all requests. Just an all-round great visit – and the beer is also very good 😉. We will be back !

I was just there and I have to say I'm very impressed! First time ever smashburger and it was super delicious! The truffle fries were also really great and I can recommend them to everyone. Above all, I have to say great service! Definitely coming back!

I actually think the burgers here are a bit better than at Harp. Plus it's not that crowded. There has been absolutely nothing wrong with the service so far. Drinks arrived within a few minutes of ordering and the food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. Also very attractively priced. The selection of drinks is somewhat limited; as far as I know, there are no pitchers. But so far there has always been something for me. Keep it up!

A nice little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The burgers are the best I've eaten so far but waiting times of 30-45 minutes are mandatory here, actually 5 stars BUT unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars for the service! He's clumsy, hectic and disinterested. Drinks were taken, one colleague was not asked what he would like but was simply written down. We had to wait an hour until they noticed that the order hadn't been forwarded, the waitress turned and spent a round, but nothing came. When the food finally arrived, I was brought the wrong burger, again the waitress gave us an hour and nothing came. When I paid I was then deducted 5 euros! Get rid of the waitress and get the 5 stars!

Cool burger joint. Style-wise like the Harp, but a different card. A special feature are the smash burgers with very thin patties. Instead of the usual 180 grams, the patties only weigh 75 grams, but there are two or three in the burger. Very crispy, very tasty. Everything tasted very good, but the portions could have been a little larger. The prices are quite high, which is okay considering the quality and inflation. But the side dishes could be a little more generous. If I pay €18 for a burger with fries, it has to fill me up and that was only the case because I wasn't really hungry. The service is world class, super attentive and very nice.

This is probably the best burger in town. The burger was juicy and very tasty. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. And the local and international beer selection rounded off the visit to the cozy location.

Immer wieder ein Genuss hier zu sein. Perfekte Smashed Burger, super nettes Personal und gemütliche Atmosphäre! Mein Lieblings-Spot, wenn es um Burger und nette Leute geht.

Sehr nettes Lokal mit ausgezeichneten Burgern, einer guten Auswahl an Getränken und einem super Team. Auch eine Auswahl an vegetarischen- und teilweise sogar veganen Produkten ist gegeben. Reservierungen sind insbesondere für Wochenenden sehr wichtig.

Der Burger war sehr lecker, aber für 11,50 Eur ohne Beilagen deutlich zu klein. Ich habe Pommes dazu gegessen und hätte noch einen zweiten Burger essen können.
