Delicious food at a fair price, always worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant right at the Aaper Forest! Great outdoor area! Very friendly and attentive staff. We had, among other things, schnitzel, salad with turkey breast but also beef cheeks with mashed potatoes!! Excellent, thumbs up!! We will come more often. We will definitely spend a lot of time on the beautiful terrace, especially in summer!!!

Let's talk about the food first. It was delicious. The sauce for the creamed mushroom schnitzel even tasted homemade, not like other people's from a packet. The homemade fries, on the other hand, were so-so. They would have definitely tasted delicious if they had been crispy and warmer. But as they were, they were soft and lukewarm. Since we like to have a salad with our meals, there was no option to order a side salad. It's a shame. The portions are precisely calculated. If you're a big eater, we recommend an appetizer. The ambiance seemed somewhat thrown together. It was neither one nor two in terms of style. The beer garden didn't seem any more inviting. What was very good was the friendly staff. The server was really very friendly and nice.

I've been there often and unfortunately today the food wasn't as usual. Red cabbage was burnt and sauerbraten meat (which we ordered as a waiter's recommendation) didn't taste good either. Staff behavior as I said on site was also not correct. (The food is good. Period) Positive: Ambience and schnitzel, which was juicy, fresh and tasty.

Bifteki tastes better at every Greek snack bar. The Djuwetch rice was watery, what was on the plate as Ayvar has nothing to do with Ayvar and the cheese in the Bifteki was dry and tasteless. Added to that Schlösser Alt (there used to be Füchschen here) and a hard-working young service man. It's all better and it's not really cheap either!

Today, December 21st, 2021, the two of us were guests in the restaurant again. The courteous and knowledgeable service is noteworthy. The allocation of space at “our sewing machine table” and the quick ordering went perfectly with the tasty food. Keep it up and Merry Christmas 2021. 👍

2 years ago with the best restaurant in Düsseldorf today unfortunately with the worst schnitzel... very thin, more breading than meat and extremely dry from the deep fryer. Was there after a long walk in the Aap Forest and was warmly welcomed. The food came to the table extremely quickly and was really appetizing for me. The service was great and people regularly asked about their well-being. Gladly again. It should also be said later that the restaurant is located at the tram stop. Absolutely no problem for me, on the contrary.

Mit einem Gutscheinbuch bewaffnet freuten wir (Ehefrau, Schwager, Schwägerin und ich) auf ein leckeres Essen bei herrlichem Sonnenschein. Bei Ankunft teilten wir dem Kellner mit, jeweils einen Gutschein zu besitzen. Insgesamt teilten wir dies 3-4x den jeweiligen Kellner mit. Bei der Bestellung wurde vom Kellner dies nicht berücksichtigt. Eigentlich geht man davon aus, das Personal weist einen darauf hin, denn die Gutscheine lagen auf dem Tisch. Bei der Bezahlung wurden die Gutscheine nicht berücksichtigt, im Gegenteil! Man wies uns darauf hin, dass wir verpflichtet seien die Scheine vorzulegen dies stände auch auf diesen drauf. In klitzekleiner Schrift stand dies auch auf ihm drauf, jedoch ohne Brille (bei Sehschwäche) keinesfalls zu lesen. Es könne keine Stornierung vorgenommen werden. Meinen Einwand das es im 21. Jahrhundert wohl möglich sein, eine Stornierung an der Kasse vorzunehmen, wurde damit Begründet, das die Küche es vorher wissen muss. Nachdem wir den Chef sprechen wollten war er nicht da, obwohl ich den Anschein hatte, dass er vor uns stand. Er meinte, er verstehe uns aber wir müssten Ihn auch verstehen, und er sähe nicht ein die Kosten dafür zu übernehmen. Dies teilte er uns mehrfach mit. Es wäre ja nicht so schlimm, wir könnten den Gutschein beim nächsten Mal benutzen. Worauf ich Ihm darauf mitteilte, dass es ein nächstes Mal nicht geben. "Immer diese Gutscheinbesitzer, es gibt nur Ärger mit Ihnen." Vielleicht liegt es ja nicht an denen sondern an Ihnen. Am Essen selber war wenig auszusetzen, meine Frau bestellte sich ein Rumpsteak (medium), leider war es fast durch, was Sie dem Kellner zeigte, der wollte Ihr ein neues Steak bringen, wobei Sie ablehnte, da Sie Essen wollte, stattdessen wollte Sie eine Vergünstigung, (wir werden schon etwas finden) kam dann die Antwort. Es wurde nichts berüchtigt. Da wir ab und zu dort essen waren (mit und ohne Gutschein) müssen diese auf unsere Anwesenheit verzichten.

Buschhausen has been our local pub for many years. The quality of the food corresponds to the slightly higher price level. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch and evening. The service is very competent and always friendly! The beer garden under plane trees and large umbrellas is great in summer! Ideally located for public transport, directly at the Oberrath stop.

Ordered food on the terrace today and was shown the coupon from the Düsseldorf magazine (you get discounts in certain restaurants or establishments etc...): for the equivalent or cheaper meal you had to pay €13 less on the main course. The lady said , without being amazed or hesitating, no, it would be too late!! We should have shown it BEFORE ordering, she would have booked and couldn't change anything. We complained that it says WHEN we order....No, they wouldn't do it anymore and are out of the offer (in 2025). Unfair and unpleasant. We have been using the offers in the magazine for 2 or 3 years without any problems. Not in this restaurant again

I recommend the veal liver with homemade mashed potatoes, it said on the board. The liver was very, very tasty and soft as butter. Not everyone can do that. Thumbs up.

I was in the Buschhaus with my girlfriend for a long time today, we were very disappointed with the new service that was very pretentious and arrogant. We've been going there for years and have always been very satisfied, but today it's a catastrophe and we're very disappointed. We ordered two beers but then said we were leaving. There was no beer on tap and we still had to pay for it. The waitress told us to go somewhere else, she knows everything and she can do everything, that was the last time I entered this restaurant with my girlfriend, unfortunately we always felt comfortable. In response to feedback from the owner: I think it's good that you stand behind your employees. I have worked in the catering industry myself for over 40 years. I have been visiting you regularly for 10 years and have never had a negative impact in my life and have always enjoyed the many visits. I'm always polite because I know what it feels like to work in the catering industry, I've left a lot of sales in your restaurant and given a lot of tips. It's a mystery to me how I could ever have attracted negative attention with this behavior. There may be a mix-up, but even then it seems strange to be treated so rudely. Is very idyllic in the Düsseldorf district of Oberrath. With the U72 towards Ratingen, it stops right in front of the front door. Suitable for wheelchair users as it is on the ground floor. Sehr schöner Biergarten direkt an Aaper Wald

Ich war dort spontan zum Abendessen, auch ohne Reservierung habe ich noch ein schönes Plätzchen an der Theke bekommen. Service 1a und essen war top. Im Sommer kann ich auch den Biergarten sehr empfehlen. Es lohnt sich immer dort mal einzukehren. Es stehen sehr leckere regionale Speisen auf der Speisekarte. Ich hatte mir Himmel und Ähd bestellt.

Seit Jahren ist das Buschhausen mein absolutes Lieblingslokal. Egal ob Familienfeier, Firmenfeier oder einfach ein gemütlicher Abend. Hier ist man gut aufgehoben. Das Essen ist frisch und Hausgemacht was man auch schmeckt! Der Service ist schnell und aufmerksam. Gemütliches Ambiente. Im Sommer sitzen wir gerne im Biergarten.

Bin regelmäßig in Buschhausen essen und jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Auswahl ist sehr gut, auch für Vegetarier wie mich. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und frisch. Im Innenbereich wie im Außenbereich kann man sehr gut sitzen und sein Essen genießen.

Wie immer ein super Abendessen mit der ganzen Familie. Besonderes positiv ist uns das zuvorkommende Personal aufgefallen und einen ganze lieben Gruß in die Küche.

Super Location und super Buffet. Wir hatten eine Geburtstagsfeier mit 45 Personen und haben im Restaurant gefeiert. Dafür wurde uns der gesamte große Hauptbereich zur Verfügung gestellt. Tische und Stehtische wurden nach unseren Wünschen gestellt. Das Essen (Buffet) war sehr schön angerichtet und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Feiern durften wir so lange wie wir wollten und wurden die ganze Zeit von dem schnellen und freundlichen Service begleitet. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Schöne alte Kneipe, eine der Letzten Ihrer Art, leider. Ambiente, Kneipe eben, eher rustikal, so muss das, mit Thresen, das muss auch. Speisekarte mit rheinischen Gerichten, sehr lecker! Der Service war gut, fleißig und schnell, Köbes. Da gehen wir wieder hin, war klasse! Wir waren am Freitag wieder dort, alles immer noch top!

Es sind riesige Portionen. Geschmack gut. 2 Personen im Service sind zu wenig.

Am 11.11.2023 mittags ohne Reservierung mit 3 Personen nachgefragt ob wir zum Essen bleiben können. Das Lokal war sehr voll. Trotzdem hat die Mitarbeiterin sich die Mühe gemacht uns unterzubringen. Einzig mein Neffe hat Pech mit seinem Steak. Es war durch anstatt medium. Sofort wurde angeboten ein neues Stück Fleisch zu servieren. Wollte er nicht, ihm hat es trotzdem geschmeckt. Dafür sollte er sich dann Eis oder Cola als Wiedergutmachung aussuchen. Das ist kundenorientiert. Immer wieder gerne.

War noch nie enttäuscht. An Wochenenden ist eine Reservierung ratsam, da sehr gut besucht.
