Burgschänke Salzderhelden in Einbeck

The restaurant is well located if you're visiting the castle. The food was okay, but the schnitzel was quite stringy and unfortunately not that tasty. Payments are accepted with debit cards but not credit cards, but I don't think that's a big deal. Unfortunately, the restrooms aren't clean at all; they really need some attention. All in all, a restaurant with room for improvement.

Definitely very good food and very good service

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos to upload 🤷‍♂️, but the rump steak (mine was with chanterelle mushrooms) was exceptionally good and looked very appealing 🤤 There were 12-15 of us there, and no one had any complaints - everyone else's food looked perfect, too. I'll be back soon 👏👍🤝

There were eight of us there, and it was truly delicious. The portions were very generous. The service was super friendly and the ambiance was very pleasant. Being child-friendly is also a top priority.

The Bürgschänke Salzderhelden is a great recommendation for a break while cycling or for a great dinner. The ambiance and the view from the wonderful outdoor terrace are spectacular. There's a seasonal and current menu. The outdoor area rises upwards in a terrace-like manner, making it a challenge for the service, which I found very good! The quality of the food is amazing! Everything is regional and freshly prepared. We really enjoyed the evening here.

The Burgschänke offers solid, home-style cooking that tastes good and is filling, but neither particularly appealing in terms of taste nor appearance—the kind of food you could easily prepare at home. They obviously use convenience products. The restaurant's prices are in the low-to-mid-range, and the service is pleasantly fast. The ambiance is okay overall, but it could be cleaner. The menus were quite dingy, and the outdoor seating was dirty.

A very nice restaurant...fast service, good menu, top-notch food, and more than plentiful. Perfect value for money. I/We will definitely be back. P.S. The interior windowsills would appreciate a feather duster.

Such a beautiful garden, and the owners are so friendly. The view over the Leine Valley gives you a holiday feeling. You can see the storks' flight path to their nests right away. It's cozy inside, too. We're always happy to come back ☺️

We went there for a walk in the evening and ate a scoop of ice cream based on the flavors of ice cream we wanted. 1 scoop for €1.20 is pleasing. There were nice conversations with the landlady and the other visitors... Just to come back

We had brawn (4 slices were too many), herring and schnitzel (absolutely enough). Everything was delicious to us We enjoyed it and the rest was even packed up for us. The Burgschänke has a great location and a wonderful view of the Leine Valley from the sunny terrace. The service was friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Best restaurant in the Leinetal and beyond! The food is unsurpassedly good, no matter what I ordered there. It was always a 12 out of 10 🔥 The atmosphere at the castle and with the view is beautiful and I've never seen anything better 😍

A restaurant with flair. You wouldn't know beforehand that it would be so good. The cuisine is excellent. The service is a delight. And the selection of dishes is great. Thank you very much for this great view and the commitment of the operator. Some people can learn a lesson from this, but they won't be able to get to it. If there is asparagus, order it, enjoy it and really experience a taste experience.

A restaurant in a fantastic location! The food (pork schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce/ trout Müllerin) was tasty, the portions were plentiful, and the price was reasonable. The service was attentive and friendly. You'll be happy to visit again! My tip: call beforehand! Wednesday rest day.

Were there for lunch. Diverse menu, something for every taste. In summer we like to sit on the terrace with a great view over Salzderhelden, Leinepolder, etc. Unfortunately it was a little too cold for that at the moment.

Very tasty, I had a schnitzel with pepper cream sauce and it was huge. The food comes quickly, is hot, cheap for the size, the staff is very friendly and even the chef asks if everything is ok.

The Burgschänke stands on the moat of the Heldenburg. A restaurant with a cozy dining room. The beer garden offers a fantastic view of the Leine Valley. The menu shows home-style cuisine at fair prices. My personal tip: Matjes!

In der Burgschänke in Sazderhelden konnten wir mit Reservierung als größere Gruppe einen fantastischen Abend feiern. Das Angebot aus Fisch, Schnitzel und Steak bot für alle etwas Passendes. Die Portionen waren groß und lecker. Dimer Service war freundlich und trotz des gut gefüllten Gastraums aufmerksam und freundlich! Die Auswahl an Speisen ist groß und auch die Getränkekarte hat eine große Auswahl. Zwar ist weder der Gastraum noch das saubere WC barrierefrei, aber die Aussicht war fantastisch. Der Parkplatz vor der Tür ist praktisch. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war unschlagbar.

After a long bike ride, we felt like taking a break and eating something. When we entered the Burgschänke, there weren't exactly friendly words coming from the kitchen, but the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted delicious and although there was only a small brawn on the menu, the portion was quite large and at under €10. After eating we recommend a visit to the Heldenburg.

Rustic atmosphere, a wonderful view from the patio and large portions with attractive prices. Unfortunately it started to rain during our visit, so we moved indoors. Another visit? Very happy again.

The Burgschänke in Salzderhelden was just the right place to take a break from the motorway. We were very impressed by the very good, fresh food with a clearly laid out menu. We ate on the terrace with fast, friendly service and a great view. The parking lot for the Burgschänke and the ruins of the Heldenburg next to it were also very well maintained and frequented. The composition of the guests (based on the number of vehicles parked) was also interesting: around half came from the region and the other half from all over Germany from the A7. Good food works!

Quaint location with good service and very tasty food. We were there with a group of 8 people and everyone was very happy with their food. Price-performance is great! Parking spaces are available on site (after a somewhat steep journey). Toilets aren't the most modern, but everything was there.

The view alone is worth a trip there.

As the name suggests, the “Burgschänke” is located below the “Heldenburg” castle ruins. The restaurant has a very nice terrace with a wide view of the Leine Valley.

A visit to the Heldenburg should end with a visit to the Burgschänke. There is also a great view over the valley from here! Highly Recommended. The Burgschänke used to be the office building, directly below the castle. The access is a bit long and steep. Most will be motorized, so no problem. It is advisable to reserve in advance during classic meal times.

"Village pub" The asparagus was very good. The hollandaise was out of the bag. A pity. The medallions were “too worn out.” The drinks were not charged as “compensation”. We thought that was very fair.

Mega leckeres Essen und richtig gute Portion zu echt günstigen Preisen, satt wird man da auf jedenfall 😋 4 Sterne, da das Personal ab 20:30 immer zu uns rübergeschaut hat, so nach dem Motto, wann wollen die endlich gehen... Bei Öffnungszeiten bis 22:30 ! Im großen und ganzen war es trotzdem ein sehr schöner und leckerer Abend. Fur Leute, die die deutsche Küche mögen ist es definitiv ein Besuch wert 😃

Das Essen großartig, alles mit frischen Gemüse ganz frisch zubereitet und super lecker. Hervorzuheben ist auch der Preis. So gut und günstig haben wir lange nicht gegessen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein Restaurant mit wunderschönen Ausblick direkt unter der alten Heldenburg. Alles ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auch am Nachmittag ist die Küche geöffnet. Bei der Bestellung der Speisen ist darauf zu achten, dass nicht zu viele Fertigprodukte verwendet werden. Einige Speisen sind hervorragend, andere bestehen aus Fertigsoßen ect. Zu empfehlen sind die Fischgerichte, sowie die saisonale Karte.
