We arrived at the restaurant without prior notice at a busy time and were warmly welcomed. The service was very friendly, courteous and warm. Here people cook, serve and exchange pleasant snacks with joy and skill. Very tasty, just as you would expect from good German cuisine! I think the ambience is brilliantly implemented - you can just feel good here! Keep it up dear Brodhaus & always happy!

We went to the boardhouse to eat on Saturday lunchtime. I would say it was a normal Saturday lunchtime in the restaurant. Not fully booked, but well attended. At the time, an older lady and a young woman (estimated to be 17-19, possibly 1 year of training or a temporary worker) were serving. The older lady constantly and not really appropriately reprimanded the young woman in front of the customers and really didn't reprimand her in a friendly way. She dropped things twice in a row (it can happen), she was supposed to clean tables, that wasn't quite right either. The older lady then said to the customers that she had already told her (the young woman) several times today how to clean the tables, but it didn't seem to reach the top... The young woman was standing two tables away at the time. No matter how stressed you are or how many mistakes someone makes, you don't treat anyone like that, especially not in front of your customers. That doesn't work at all. There wasn't much left and I actually said something. Really really bad. The young woman was only criticized and put down in a tone that she didn't immediately throw in the towel. You can only give her credit. The food was very tasty, but I wouldn't come back with my family because that's not how you treat people, especially not in front of customers.

These barrels are simply rustic! The food is on the table quickly and fresh and the service is great. The mustard soup is highly recommended. We felt very comfortable 👍👍

Today we were guests with a group of 8 people. The map reads great and is also very inviting. Overall, however, you have to say that the kitchen has completely failed. I don't want to comment on the allegations because the service staff of two very friendly ladies apologized several times (for the cooks' failure). It was downright unpleasant for them. One of them (who always entertained us) gave everything to somehow get out of this bad situation and live up to the reputation of the house. Mind you, the service couldn't help it! In the end we got a round on the house, which not everyone in our group took advantage of. We didn't want to get anything for free, we just wanted to honestly criticize the food and the process. However, one meal was taken off my bill which we ate more or less with a total of 3 people. And now comes the reason why I'm writing this! A person in the kitchen (I assume it was one of the untalented chefs) noticed this and IMMEDIATELY called the lady in for a conversation. And in such a way that we guests noticed it. It didn't sound like anything good. The gentleman didn't look happy either. Dear Brodhaus and operator; You are lucky to have such a fantastic employee in times like these. She rocked the whole store and still put a smile on our faces at the end of the day. It is an impudence on the part of the person who looked at the employee so angrily and called her in for an interview. And all of this in front of the guests. As if the kitchen hadn't messed up enough! I would be very ashamed if I were him! We were very outraged. Feel free to ask the lady what happened. Otherwise, I will happily list it here, just as the chef did (in front of the public). It had nothing to do with cooking. Many thanks to the employee! If there are any difficulties with the so-called “snack plate”, I would be happy to transfer the missing amount later. But here you should praise the service and reprimand the chefs. 0 stars for the food! Oh and by the way: As myself As a private and event chef, I can judge this very well! Update: we'll be back at Pentecost 2025. I hope I can change the review for the better.

No! The good inns are not extinct! In fact, there is a cozy inn in the middle of Einbeck's city center with a nice, cozy atmosphere, nice people (staff) and great food!!! The plates are lovingly prepared and if you know that the boss is actually a butcher, then you can look forward to a delicious roulade or a really good schnitzel. But the fish - as a starter or main course - is also really remarkably good. Each guest can decide for themselves which of the many Einbeck beers suits them best. This mixture simply fits like a lid on a pot and is reason enough for us to start a mini journey from the neighboring district.

We were there on Christmas Day. We had buffet. There was duck, venison, zander, pork fillet, beef broth and various vegetables and potato gratin and croquettes. There were various things for dessert. Everything was delicious and the coziness of the Brodhaus creates a lovely ambience.

If you could give zero stars, I would. I'm more than horrified at how people treat customers like this. When ordering a table online, you first have to log into an app and then you don't receive a confirmation. Called the next day to ask. The woman on the phone was beyond rude and rude! With: "Hello, I'm just going to bring drinks away now!" I was shouted at rudely. Then the woman read out all the names of the reservations!!! Apparently there is data protection not there?!?!?! And then just said: "No, nothing came in here, and we can't because we're fully booked. Bye!" And just hung up! So we're definitely not trying to get a table anymore. On our last visit we had to wait 1.5 hours for the drinks... we didn't get to eat after 2 hours. That's when you lose it. Lots to do, no matter what! But something like that doesn't work!

Went there with a larger group including children and really liked it. The food was really tasty and service is very important there. Our son is still too small for “big” food and a large bowl of mashed potatoes with sauce was brought to him in advance so that he can be fed and we can eat in peace afterwards. The little one really enjoyed it too :) The interior design is also really nice, you really feel like you are in a rustic inn without everything seeming “old”. We'd love to come back!

The oldest inn in Lower Saxony attracts with a rustic atmosphere in the city center of Einbeck. We recommend the Einbecker beer tasting with 5 different beers or the good home cooking that you can eat here. overall a very warm and rustic atmosphere.

We were very impressed by the large selection of dishes, the very tasty food and the great service and are already planning the next appointment. We were surprised that four of us were allowed to sit in a barrel.

Waited over 40 minutes for schnitzel and there was nothing fresh or elaborate. Tasty, but not sensational. Also delicious: the beer tasting.

We went to dinner at the Brodhaus, sat down in a cozy barrel, the ambience was great. The food was great, really delicious from the presentation to the taste. The burgers and schnitzels were spicy and juicy and the portions were completely sufficient for our hunger. We also did a small beer tasting with various Einbecker beers, which was refreshing and interesting. The service was nice, relaxed and funny and the food and drinks came quickly. We thought it was great at the Brodhaus and would go there again at any time.

If it were up to the wine they serve there, I would give it just one star. The last and cheapest booze, near Tetrapack. But since we were looked after so warmly and authentically throughout the evening and also had delicious food, it is of course 5 stars. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

We set off yesterday with a 1 hour drive. We made reservations online. The service person was super nice and attentive and gave us great recommendations from the daily menu. I decided on the beer tasting and ate goulash soup as a starter, which was amazing, delicious, fresh and super hot. I felt like we were in Grandma's old kitchen. Mega good. For the main course I had the Brothaus Schnitzel with bacon and cheese gratinated, which was super super good. For dessert there was Kaiserschmarrn with ice cream and applesauce. All in all I can only say we will be back. Our seat was in an old barrel. I can only recommend it and will definitely come back with my family.

We had an extensive dinner here as part of our visit to Einbeck. A lot has changed here since our last visit a few years ago. And in a positive way. It appears there has been a change of operator/ownership. We were greeted very friendly and shown to the table (reserved in advance by telephone). The waiter pointed us to the “Einbecker Beer Tasting”, an opportunity to taste the various beer specialties of the Einbecker Brauhaus in direct comparison. Nice thing! We were able to choose our “favorite” for the rest of the evening. There should be something for everyone on the menu. We decided on the Einbecker mustard soup in advance and the Alsatian schnitzel with fried potatoes and the Brodhausschnitzel with fried potatoes. There was nothing wrong with the food and the fried potatoes were just the way we like them. Crispy but not burnt and not a “fatty sponge”. Also delicious: the Kaiserschmarrn. The only negative point: The view of our table from the counter was blocked by a frosted glass pane and as the evening progressed (the Brodhaus was now very busy) it became difficult to contact the employees, which sometimes led to delays in further order requests. Conclusion: The Brodhaus will also be visited on our next visit to Einbeck, but we will ask for a table that is not “remote”.

Culinary attack!!! First I would like to thank the ladies in service and express my appreciation to them for working so professionally in a fully occupied restaurant. However, I can't find any words for the kitchen. I'm just stunned. This was by far the lowest point in my culinary life. Saturday evening, we were happy to get a spot. We chose the pepper steak and the pork medallions (both medium rare). What happened next I can't describe other than horrific. The "thing" was so tough that the bites I cut off became smaller and smaller and I still had to chew on it 8-10 times. There was still the side dish, I thought, and was shocked! The chef also did something surprising here. Beans cooked absolutely salt-free. O. K. Very healthy but difficult to add salt without a shaker on the table. The fried potatoes are a matter of taste. I prefer them a little crispier with roasted aromas, but here too the chef only had health in mind. Pepper sauce was very sour, tasted as if the cook had poured the fresh pickled pepper from the jar and the liquid into the sauce. I would like to mention at this point that I have never returned a dish in my life. Not even in the dirtiest food stall in India or anywhere else in the world. It was the attentive waitress who noticed my chewing ordeal and, after a lengthy discussion, persuaded us to return the food. Same with my son, how you can get pork medallions so tough is a mystery to me. The situation was similar with the side dishes. I would like to emphasize that I was terribly embarrassed about letting something go back. I'm not a complainer at all and I'm not squeamish. According to the motto, what is put on the table is eaten. Okay and now comes food number 2. Now I'm assuming treachery, even though we don't know the chef and have never met him! The food was just as scary as our first portions. What to do? It was like at Loriot, the very, very nice ladies from the service kept asking if it tasted good. And we lied until the beams bend. The meat in particular was horrible. We tortured ourselves halfway in and just wanted to get out. Imagine if we had objected to round two too. People might have thought we were sophisticated carousers. So with the excuse that we had already eaten something from plate one and were no longer hungry, we paid quickly and got out. They just looked at us outside and said that doesn't exist! What have we done to the man? We don't even know him. Terrible. Never again! In keeping with the location, a large selection of Einbecker beer specialties, excellent food - "German" classics in fine preparation - from a clear (not overloaded) menu at moderate prices, a relaxed atmosphere, warm and honest service. The old walls are furnished in a rustic, cozy chic style and give the restaurant a very special ambience. Highly Recommended!!

Unfortunately, the negative trend has continued. After we spent our Christmas party there I was shocked! Eating at the table only after almost 2 hours, then not at the same time so that the first person was already finished before the last one had his meal. Food was frozen goods. Just the sauce homemade. Partly still or already cold again. There was no dessert either because after the long wait for the food the kitchen was already closed. But the great thing was that in the oldest restaurant in Lower Saxony, owner Einbecker Brauhaus AG, on a Friday evening in December, where six Christmas parties were taking place, they told us at 7 p.m. that they had run out of draft beer and that there would be no more new drafts because of the "late" time would connect. Last Saturday, food was served at lunchtime which defies description. 21 € for a frozen schnitzel with 3 croquettes and a bit of mustard sauce. The last time I was in the Brodhaus for a long time. It is necessary to book a table in advance on Saturday. Restaurant is busy during meal times. Staff is friendly and quick. Last time we visited, the meal took a good hour. If you order too many orders, you notice that things don't rotate quite as well in the kitchen. For example, fried potatoes were a bit burnt and there wasn't enough for everyone ordered, so they had to be added later. By then most of them had already eaten their main course. Otherwise the food was tasty and good.

Ich bin früher so gerne bei Euch Essen gegangen - aber so unhöflich und unprofessionell, wie wir gestern abgewiegelt worden sind weil wir keine Reservierung hatten - das ist mir wirklich noch nie passiert. 60 % der Gaststube war leer ... Ich weiß, daß alle Probleme haben gutes Personal zu finden - aber so negativ und entnervt auf Gäste zu reagieren ist in höchstem Maß unangemessen. Wir kommen bestimmt nicht mehr wieder ...
