The Brodhaus is to blame for me leaving the restaurant with a kilo more on the scale... everything was perfect, that's how it is, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you.

We went there for dinner; the menu wasn't too extensive. We ordered the goulash with Spätzle and the roast duck with dumplings and red cabbage. It tasted just like Grandma and Grandpa used to make. We really liked the atmosphere—rustic and the Christmas decorations added a nice touch. We'll definitely be back. Reservations can be made through their website. The staff was also very friendly, even though the restaurant got quite busy after 6 pm.

We discovered this restaurant through the "OpenTable" app. A quick glance at the menu and we were off! The mustard soup was a highlight of the appetizers, and the pork cheeks and schnitzel were absolutely delicious! Next time we visit, we'll definitely try the vintage Prinz cheeses for dessert! It's worth coming back!

We might have picked the wrong day, BUT it was incredibly loud because the carnival revelers were constantly going up and down the stairs, the city tour group was also very noisy, and the carnival association kept approaching the regular guests. The door was always open, so there was a draft. The food arrived quickly and was okay. We left after an hour because conversation was impossible. However, I must say the service was incredibly friendly, and everyone went out of their way to help. Many thanks for that. When we were leaving the restaurant, there were guests sitting on the stairs, making it very difficult to get out.

There were four of us at this traditional restaurant in November because I was outvoted. The Oktoberfest specials menu was available online and displayed outside. Unfortunately, the dishes weren't available. Since the vegetarian options were also very limited, everyone opted for a schnitzel. We had a beer tasting with five 0.1l Einbecker beers. Highly recommended if you want to get an overview of the different beers. The schnitzels arrived very quickly but were disappointing. They seemed industrially produced and deep-fried. The food was rather lacking for everyone, especially considering the price of over €20. A shame. However, the staff were very friendly and cheerful.

The schnitzels were nicely uniform, the fried potatoes were a bit thicker cut with onions and well-seasoned. I personally didn't like the Null Bock beer at all; it's not worth having. The Pilsner I had in Northeim that evening, on the other hand, was delicious!

No! Good inns aren't extinct! In fact, right in the heart of Einbeck's town center, you'll find a cozy inn with a lovely, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food! The dishes are beautifully presented, and knowing that the owner is also a butcher, you can look forward to a delicious roulade or a truly excellent schnitzel. The fish—as a starter or main course—is also remarkably good. Which of the many Einbeck beers is the best match for you is entirely up to you. This combination is simply perfect, and for us, it's reason enough to make the short trip from the neighboring district. Update 2025: Not only are the burgers delicious, but so are the many puns from the staff, which always bring a (free) smile to your face. It's a shame I can't improve the rating any further.

We (a couple) were able to enjoy our dinner at this special restaurant on October 31, 2025, quite spontaneously. We liked the reviews that had been published so far. The ambiance appealed to us and was simply wonderful. All the service staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. We felt that our food arrived very quickly. We loved the taste and the way it was presented; it tasted absolutely delicious. The ladies' restroom was exactly as a woman would want it...clean, tidy, with toilet paper and soap provided. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this perfect experience at this special establishment (cleaning staff, kitchen staff, service staff, etc.). We would love to come back. Best regards :)

We were very impressed with the food. Wonderfully delicious, for example, the roast beef with red cabbage. The meat was juicy and lean—absolutely excellent. As were the mashed potatoes and red cabbage. And there was an incredible amount of delicious gravy. A dream come true. We were all blown away by the wonderful food. The service was also very good. Thank you for everything. We'll be back.

Clear selection. Very good quality. Portion sizes were sufficient. Service was friendly and courteous, but rarely at the table. The kitchen also prepared 14 portions quickly and at the same time.

Very good food, horrible staff. There was one long table full in the large room, and two barrels in the next room. We had one meal and two drinks, and we would have liked more, but no one came. Three waitresses can't serve three tables, which is a shame... They looked at us a few times, but no one came. They probably didn't want to do any more business. So we changed restaurants. Edit: We were there last Thursday. The next table also ran out of drinks for a long time.

Located on the market square and the talk of the town, this is THE local inn. Our food selection was probably just a little off the best. However, the price-performance ratio was still good. You'll also be well-fed. The chef didn't break a sweat when it came to the taste, though. The same goes for the service… perhaps due to the shift change. The ambiance, however, deserves 6 stars. Quaint and cozy. Unfortunately, we couldn't comment on the beer as everyone had to leave. The "beer tasting" looked tempting, though.

A very nice and charming restaurant that embodies a great deal of Einbeck's history! We were there after a funeral and were served by a very funny waitress (sorry, I didn't ask for her name), and there was joking and laughter the whole time. In any case, thank you so much; the atmosphere was much more relaxed afterward! If I'm ever in Einbeck again, I'll definitely stop by again <3

Last year, I was there as a diner with my sister. And we were absolutely thrilled. This time, we just wanted a drink. But we ended up staying for hours. Located in the center of the half-timbered town of Einbeck, with great seating outside and quaint spots inside, it's definitely worth a visit. But don't forget to check out the menu! Great German cuisine, superbly prepared, brought to your table by cheerful staff—it can only be a great visit! We'll definitely be coming back again.

We sat outside the restaurant, and it was lovely to watch the hustle and bustle of the market square. The food is traditional German and excellent. Drinks: Einbecker, of course, in all its varieties. The digital service system worked well; no matter who served us, everyone knew what we had ordered, and getting the bill was easy.

The atmosphere, the service and the food are all just right here, whether inside or outside.

The food was delicious. The price was reasonable. What was absolutely terrible was the service. You only saw the waitresses taking your order and bringing your food. After that, you were consistently ignored. It's a shame these days, if you're spending a lot of money, the service should be good too... The ambiance is very inviting and looks good. It could be a bit more comfortable.

I was there with a few friends. The taste of the food (schnitzel) was okay. But for the price the portion was very manageable. Schnitzel with croquettes and a small salad should actually fill you up, but that wasn't the case here. The service was friendly and courteous and we sat comfortably in a large barrel. Overall, you can eat here but it wasn't outstanding in any way.

The service seemed unfriendly and not very open to feedback. The food was okay, but by no means justified the high prices. Particularly annoying: there was a moldy physalis on the dessert - an absolute no-go. Overall, the level has deteriorated significantly compared to before.

Very nice old inn with really nice service. Prices ok, food great. You have to like Einbecker beer, I think, but that has nothing to do with the inn. But I thought the fact that there was a beer tasting with 5 different types of beer was a very good idea. Especially since each variety is only 100ml in size. From the point of view of someone who is thirsty it makes little sense, but from the point of view of someone who still has to drive it makes more sense. I liked it very much.

Stopped by for lunch. Table was ordered for two people. The dishes were served in a reasonable time. I found the seasoning of the schnitzel very bland. The design of the plates was also somewhat clear. In my opinion, it can be expanded upwards for a catering business in a traditional Einbeck establishment. The price-performance ratio could be better aligned with the food.

We arrived at the restaurant without prior notice at a busy time and were warmly welcomed. The service was very friendly, courteous and warm. Here people cook, serve and exchange pleasant snacks with joy and skill. Very tasty, just as you would expect from good German cuisine! I think the ambience is brilliantly implemented - you can just feel good here! Keep it up dear Brodhaus & always happy!

We went to the boardhouse to eat on Saturday lunchtime. I would say it was a normal Saturday lunchtime in the restaurant. Not fully booked, but well attended. At the time, an older lady and a young woman (estimated to be 17-19, possibly 1 year of training or a temporary worker) were serving. The older lady constantly and not really appropriately reprimanded the young woman in front of the customers and really didn't reprimand her in a friendly way. She dropped things twice in a row (it can happen), she was supposed to clean tables, that wasn't quite right either. The older lady then said to the customers that she had already told her (the young woman) several times today how to clean the tables, but it didn't seem to reach the top... The young woman was standing two tables away at the time. No matter how stressed you are or how many mistakes someone makes, you don't treat anyone like that, especially not in front of your customers. That doesn't work at all. There wasn't much left and I actually said something. Really really bad. The young woman was only criticized and put down in a tone that she didn't immediately throw in the towel. You can only give her credit. The food was very tasty, but I wouldn't come back with my family because that's not how you treat people, especially not in front of customers.

These barrels are simply rustic! The food is on the table quickly and fresh and the service is great. The mustard soup is highly recommended. We felt very comfortable 👍👍

Today we were guests with a group of 8 people. The map reads great and is also very inviting. Overall, however, you have to say that the kitchen has completely failed. I don't want to comment on the allegations because the service staff of two very friendly ladies apologized several times (for the cooks' failure). It was downright unpleasant for them. One of them (who always entertained us) gave everything to somehow get out of this bad situation and live up to the reputation of the house. Mind you, the service couldn't help it! In the end we got a round on the house, which not everyone in our group took advantage of. We didn't want to get anything for free, we just wanted to honestly criticize the food and the process. However, one meal was taken off my bill which we ate more or less with a total of 3 people. And now comes the reason why I'm writing this! A person in the kitchen (I assume it was one of the untalented chefs) noticed this and IMMEDIATELY called the lady in for a conversation. And in such a way that we guests noticed it. It didn't sound like anything good. The gentleman didn't look happy either. Dear Brodhaus and operator; You are lucky to have such a fantastic employee in times like these. She rocked the whole store and still put a smile on our faces at the end of the day. It is an impudence on the part of the person who looked at the employee so angrily and called her in for an interview. And all of this in front of the guests. As if the kitchen hadn't messed up enough! I would be very ashamed if I were him! We were very outraged. Feel free to ask the lady what happened. Otherwise, I will happily list it here, just as the chef did (in front of the public). It had nothing to do with cooking. Many thanks to the employee! If there are any difficulties with the so-called “snack plate”, I would be happy to transfer the missing amount later. But here you should praise the service and reprimand the chefs. 0 stars for the food! Oh and by the way: As myself As a private and event chef, I can judge this very well! Update: we'll be back at Pentecost 2025. I hope I can change the review for the better.

We were there on Christmas Day. We had buffet. There was duck, venison, zander, pork fillet, beef broth and various vegetables and potato gratin and croquettes. There were various things for dessert. Everything was delicious and the coziness of the Brodhaus creates a lovely ambience.

If you could give zero stars, I would. I'm more than horrified at how people treat customers like this. When ordering a table online, you first have to log into an app and then you don't receive a confirmation. Called the next day to ask. The woman on the phone was beyond rude and rude! With: "Hello, I'm just going to bring drinks away now!" I was shouted at rudely. Then the woman read out all the names of the reservations!!! Apparently there is data protection not there?!?!?! And then just said: "No, nothing came in here, and we can't because we're fully booked. Bye!" And just hung up! So we're definitely not trying to get a table anymore. On our last visit we had to wait 1.5 hours for the drinks... we didn't get to eat after 2 hours. That's when you lose it. Lots to do, no matter what! But something like that doesn't work!

Rustic, quaint interior with good food.

Went there with a larger group including children and really liked it. The food was really tasty and service is very important there. Our son is still too small for “big” food and a large bowl of mashed potatoes with sauce was brought to him in advance so that he can be fed and we can eat in peace afterwards. The little one really enjoyed it too :) The interior design is also really nice, you really feel like you are in a rustic inn without everything seeming “old”. We'd love to come back!

The oldest inn in Lower Saxony attracts with a rustic atmosphere in the city center of Einbeck. We recommend the Einbecker beer tasting with 5 different beers or the good home cooking that you can eat here. overall a very warm and rustic atmosphere.

Our (holiday home) landlord recommended the on-board house to us! The food was very tasty, the staff was very friendly - despite all the stress, because it was during the owl festival - it was definitely due to the fact that the food took a little longer, but that didn't diminish our great impression of the whole thing👍 🏻
