Very good burgers, crispy fries, and amazing dips, plus super friendly service. We were there when it opened in Duisburg in 2015, then in Wesel, and now in Oberhausen. We really like the location.

It was very tasty, I ordered a Mexican burger, but the bread was unfortunately a bit cold and the service was very nice.

We drove here on a Sunday evening. And as a professional burger eater since 2001, I have to say that the Classic Burger brought out the child in me.

Very good burgers served by friendly staff. The ambiance off the restaurant is a mix of industrial and tropical, with a view on the kitchen. You can eat and drink inside or on the terrace.

Very good burgers. No frozen patties, but handmade. Unfortunately, only in Oberhausen and Duisburg. Wesel is one very good burger place poorer.

Unfortunately, the meat is so dry that a double patty is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. There's barely any lettuce or tomato in the burger. The cheese has no flavor, and the sauce is barely noticeable. Overall, very disappointing. The fries were good, and the delivery was fast.

Everything was great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Before the new concept, we went there every two weeks and always got the deal. Back then, we were already stuffed after a large, very well-filled burger and a portion of fries in a can. Now we got a small burger and considerably fewer fries in the can. It's a shame, honestly. We always enjoyed eating there, but this was our last visit.

This was our first time here, and the burger, fries, and chicken bites were a taste sensation. The BBQ sauce was the best I've ever had. So, if we're ever in Oberhausen again, we'll be happy to come back.

This was our first time here. It was super delicious, super fresh, and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was great. The only thing that was uncomfortable were the chairs, but otherwise everything was top notch.

We ate at Burger Nerds Oberhausen today around 4:30 p.m. The place was empty when we arrived, and the waitress greeted us warmly, gave us the menu, and asked us to sit at a seat of our choice. Arriving at the table, I noticed a dried-up spot of sauce and several small crumbs between the joints of the wooden table. Unfortunately, the same situation was present at several other tables. The waitress came to the table after a reasonable amount of time to take our orders. The food arrived promptly and looked very good. All the dishes were hot. Unfortunately, the burger buns were very hard and seemed dry, as if they had been out of the packaging for a while. The waitress came and asked how the food was. I mentioned the dryness of the buns. She apologized for the dryness and explained that, unfortunately, a different baker has been making the buns for about six months, which was probably why the change was made. The restrooms were clean. When I paid, she apologized again that I didn't like the food and gave me a discount as compensation. About a year ago, I was still thrilled. Today, I wouldn't go back.

Until the pandemic, we were regular customers both in-store and for takeout, and we were always satisfied and would have definitely given it 4-5 stars. I really loved the console that let you play SNES games while waiting for your food (I have no idea if it's still available). During the pandemic, we forgot about Burger Nerds. That's why we were very pleased when we discovered on June 26th that Burger Nerds was now delivering via UberEats, even to Osterfeld. So we immediately prepared an order: - Big Burger Nerds Classic Meal - Pulled Pork Poutine - Big Burger Nerds BBQ Meal with an extra patty and extra bacon. The delivery was within an hour, and the food arrived piping hot. Unfortunately, the extra patty and extra bacon were forgotten for the BBQ burger. So I called Burger Nerds and complained about the wrong burger. The problem was identified immediately. When copying the UberEats order receipt onto the kitchen slip, the extras were forgotten to be included. Now, one might assume that the problem undoubtedly lay with the restaurant, so a satisfactory solution for the customer would be found quickly. But no such luck. At first, they offered to refund the patty and bacon in the form of a voucher for the next order. Of course, I didn't agree to this, because I had good reasons for the bacon and the extra patty. This rounds out the flavor of the burger. So it's as if I had been delivered a burger that I didn't order and didn't want. Even McDonald's and Burger King will happily make the requested burger in such a case. Only Burger Nerds don't. Unfortunately, the very nice lady had to interrupt the call several times to speak to the person in charge. After 15 minutes, we finally got to the point where the person in charge took the initiative and called me. He then offered me a €5 voucher for my next order and said he was being very accommodating. I explained to him that I had ordered a different burger and that a valid purchase contract had been created through the order acceptance and delivery. He had breached his obligations under the purchase contract and sent me the wrong item, and he is now obligated to rectify the defect. This means he will prepare my burger the way I like it and ordered it. Otherwise, he would be free to withdraw from the burger purchase contract, which would then require a full refund. €10.50 + €2.50 extra patty + €1.00 bacon, or €14. If the restaurant owes me a €14 burger, a €5 voucher for a burger I never wanted is not accommodating, but borders on fraud. As I said, every other restaurant I know would have replaced the incorrect dish without hesitation (which restaurants are obligated to do), and most others would have even thrown in some compensation as an apology (usually a drink or dessert). I was even so accommodating as to pick up the properly prepared burger myself. But no, Burger Nerds wasn't even willing to meet the legal minimum. After a five-minute discussion with the "person in charge" and statements like "In the store, I would have just refried a patty and put it on the burger," he insisted on getting a picture of the burger in the trash, so I could pick up a new one. But only if I gave the UberEats order a good rating. That's how we ended up. So I threw the burger in the trash, took a photo, and reluctantly gave UberEats a 4*. By now, however, all the food had gone cold, so a large portion of the $45.75 order (all the fries and the other burger) also ended up in the trash. Now I have to think hard about whether I even want to get the new BBQ burger. I usually stay far away from these rip-off restaurants that don't care about customer satisfaction and aren't even willing to pay the legal minimum.

Update as of July 2025: After a long time, I ordered there again and picked up the burgers with great anticipation... unfortunately, I was disappointed. The quality of the meat had deteriorated considerably, and the BBQ sauce, which I thought was one of the best around, had been changed. The burger bread, unfortunately, had also been changed. Unfortunately, I can no longer give my original recommendation; we won't be visiting Burger Nerds again. It's a real shame... If you're looking for a good burger, you've come to the right place. They're incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the BBQ Burger 2.0 to everyone. We've tried many burger joints in the area, and this one has become our number one. Please keep it up :). .

This was the worst burger I've ever eaten. The patty was way too cooked. I ordered through Uber Eats, and the burger was completely drowning in its own juices. As a result, it was soggy and sticky. The coleslaw came in the same packaging as the burger and fries, so it was hot upon delivery.

Other previous guests described the burgers to me as being larger. They were tasty, but not completely filling.

The burgers are delicious. Prices are reasonable. I liked the atmosphere. The entrance isn't easy to find for out-of-towners. My sat nav sent me past it. Hint: Entrance = car dealership.

We ordered via Uber Eats. 2 burgers 2 fries One fries was edible, but the rest weren't. The guacamole burger tasted kind of old. The meat was tasteless, but the smell was awfully unpleasant, and the bun and the guacamole simply tasted old, beyond words! The BBQ burger was similar. They simply tasted old. The chili cheese fries arrived in lumps. It felt like they had been prepared a few hours ago. You had to cut the 'stuff'. 🫣 The only thing that was halfway good were the truffle parmesan fries. They tasted delicious, and the fries were fries, not a lumpy mess. Other burger chains (I don't mean the Golden Seagull and the King) also make acceptable loaded fries. The problem there probably isn't the delivery time. Overall, it's not worth ordering there again. 1 star for the fries.

Conditionally recommended, food tasted ok, service was good, but price/performance ratio was not convincing, the smallest burger I have ever had.

I was there today around 7:47 PM. I'm not satisfied. The burger doesn't taste good, and the atmosphere is kind of fake, and I didn't feel comfortable.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed. The quality has declined rapidly, the burgers are more expensive and smaller, the buns are worse, and the strawberry/asparagus burger is a joke compared to last year's. The staff is nice, the place is chic, but for me, this was my last time there.

We were there for the first time today, the burgers were tasty, but very small and were completely cold when they arrived at the table, unfortunately, the fries were good and so were the dips. The service staff was very friendly.

There was an unpleasant surprise when paying. The menu says that a burger of your choice including some side dishes costs 15 euros. However, the price for the burger was charged additionally. This is misleading (more specifically, fraud) and unacceptable.

My food was cold and the fries were lukewarm. The staff was very friendly.

An imposition - close the shop! Rarely have I eaten something so disgusting. The fries looked like a pile of vomit - completely drowned in a pungent cheese sauce that covered everything. You couldn't even recognize the fries anymore! The ratio was an absolute joke: one chip, two liters of sauce. Tasteless, unsavory and an insult to every customer. How can something like that even be sold? Save your money, save your stomach - this store should be closed. 1 star because I can't give 0!

My experience at Burger Nerds in Oberhausen was nothing short of terrible. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. The burgers were tasteless and clearly of low quality, despite their claim to use regional produce. In addition, the restaurant was filthy and poorly maintained. I strongly discourage anyone from eating here. 

What matters are the burgers and they are great. Nice service and when it's warm and the sun is shining you can sit outside.

Today I ordered takeaway, the burger was raw inside, which I only found out when I got home. For this price, I do not recommend it. Nice service. Very nice place

The prices are now completely exaggerated. Example BBQ 2.0: Before Corona €8.90, after that €12.90, now I almost fell off my chair (December 30, 2024), €15!!! But the burger has become smaller. Deal 18.90 to 22.90€ and now 15€ + burger price. Sorry, but these are now ridiculous prices and cannot be justified by the use of materials or labor costs. This time we had the Mexican and the Christo Burger (both well done, although ordered medium), a large portion of fries, a dip and 2 drinks for a slim €45.70. By the way, we weren't full. We really always enjoyed coming to OB, despite the 45 km journey. But that was definitely the last time. Staff is always friendly and nice.

The service and the ambience was great. The sauces were delicious and there was a lot to choose from. We were there as a group and unfortunately the food didn't live up to the price. The chicken was raw in places and felt like rubber in the mouth. The fries were dry and not tasty. We didn't feel well after that. Some of us had diarrhea and vomiting symptoms. That's why I would only give the store 2 stars. Maybe we just had a bad day...

Absolutely not recommended. We had a menu for €26, with fries, chicken, cheeseburger and drink. Burger: The bottom bread was hard on both Burger Steins. When I lifted it up, a lot of liquid ran out of the burger (meat quality?) Chicken: They were so greasy and full of oil that when you put them in the dip, unfortunately nothing sticks and just slides down on the oil. Dips: They've been pre-filled in bowls for God knows how many days. A furry layer has formed on the surface, but as soon as you put something into the dip you break through it and then see the color difference. We complained and received a 10% discount and a sorry. We definitely won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos.

The food was very fresh and tasty, but the chicken had been in there too long. Otherwise everything was delicious and the service was also very nice.

I've been here about 5 times and each time I've left the store full and satisfied. I love the chicken bucket because the chicken is juicy, has a great crunch and is well seasoned. The dips are delicious and, like the burgers, great! The only thing that could be expanded would be the selection of drinks.

Unfortunately the meat was raw and therefore inedible. It would have needed more thorough preparation to ensure it was fully cooked.

Very hefty prices now. Burger smaller than at the beginning. “Large” sweet potato fries 7 EUR, but this portion wasn’t even big. I had the Nerds Deals and had to pay more than 30 euros for them. As far as I can remember, this was different because now you pay a fixed price + the burger price. We won't come back.

The prices are pretty steep now. The menu with the Uncle Sam Burger, 6 chicken strips and sweet potato fries cost me just under €23 a few months ago, but now it costs €15 + the burger price, so in this case over €31!

Overall a very nice visit. The service was good and the atmosphere was good. I don't want to judge the prices, you know that beforehand 😁 funny location in the car dealer hall.

Burgers were very tasty, fries were still super hot, so everything was great. We were also lucky that the shop was almost empty. It would be nice to have air conditioning at temperatures over 30°C, which is probably what the employees would have wanted too 😅

The burgers were okay, but the guacamole had a bite and was extremely bitter. That alone isn't nice, but the reaction of the staff gave us a lot to think about. When asked, the lady simply said that she would pass this on to the cooks... It was the last time for us...

The burgers are good but not like they were at the beginning. They are a little smaller and also more expensive. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our order. We were told half an hour at the beginning. Thank you for the lack of staff and sick leave, as is so often the case elsewhere. The concept, which was cool and new at the time, is getting a bit old...

We were there with a group of 10 people. The burgers as well as the brilliant chicken pieces were really great, even if the cooking level wasn't always perfect. The service seemed a bit stressed but after a short approach everything was great in the end. The individual dips were great.

Far too little seasoning on the burgers for my taste. But the fries are great and so are the dips. The burgers are still high quality, but as I said, they don't have enough flavor.

Anlass unseres Besuchs waren die positiven Rezensionen. Unser Besuch endete jedoch bereits nach den ersten Getränken. Waren enttäuscht. 1. Gezwungen freundlicher Empfang, durch unbekannten Umstand konnten wir nicht drinnen essen trotz dass es leer war. 2. Bekamen bloss Flaschen hingestellt und fragten nach Gläsern, bekamen jedoch nur Plastik- Einwegbecher 3. Nicht mal normale Aperitivauswahl 4. Vieles nicht verfügbar auf der Karte wie z.b. Aofelsaft und ginger ale 5. Nachdem wir am Tisch sassen wurden wir gefragt den Tisch zu wechseln wekches wir jedoch abkehnten da wir den einzigen Tisch im Schatten hatten. 6. Drinnen angeblich auch nicht klimatisiert 7. Frage nach Alternativbrot wegen Sesamallergie eines der Kinder: Fehlanzeige! 8. Dies reichte uns dann dass wir abbrachen und nicht da essen wollten. 9. Rechnung der Getränke stimmte nicht mit einem Getränk überein welches wir reel getrunken haben. Hierzu muss ich ein positiven punkt hervorheben, dass ich die 15 Cent Unterschied zurückbekam. Fazit: als Burgerliebhaber und unkomplizierter Mensch war ich wirklich enttäuscht durch den unprofessionellen Umgang und das Angebot der Getränke und Flexibilität. Hatten den Eindruck von Anfang an unerwünscht zu sein. Resultat: mich wird niemand mehr dort sehen :)

Tasty Burgers and dips, decent variety on options. Very friendly Service. Location is reachable by feet from city centre/ hotel where we were staying. All in all would recommend it and will go again once I’m back In Oberhausen!

I've eaten at the Nerds many times. The concept is right! The selection of burgers, side dishes, drinks and desserts is just right! This is exactly the selection I want. Not too much, not too little. In my opinion, price performance is absolutely top today when everything is becoming more expensive! For two you pay an average of €40-50. This is perfect for me for the quality and everything that is offered. I continue to eat there regularly. Great store. For me the best burger restaurant in Oberhausen. I tested them all.

The location was ok, unfortunately everything was dirty and sticky. The food was absolutely tasteless, the fries were as bland as cardboard and the chicken wings were over-fried. The service was semi-motivated. A pity.

The selection is really great, especially for vegetarians. However, there is a lack of taste in one place or another.

The ambience of the car dealership is, at least from the outside, not the best (a matter of taste). But this is where the criticism ends. On a moderately busy Friday evening, we were able to enjoy fast service and delicious burgers. All in all, we felt very comfortable in a quiet location.
