Despite four employees being present and the restaurant being empty, we had to wait about ten minutes before being served. The cleanliness of the dining area left much to be desired: Several tables were visibly dirty and were not cleaned during our visit. Furthermore, after we ordered, the employee didn't immediately begin preparing our order but instead served other customers first. Such organizational and service behavior raises questions about internal processes and quality standards. Overall, the visit did not meet the expectations one has of an established franchise like Burger King.

We usually go to Burger King, but this was absolutely awful. The burgers had no flavor whatsoever. They tasted quite strange, not to say disgusting. For me, that wasn't even a Double Whopper; it was a disgrace. And then there were the prices. In my opinion, they're completely exorbitant. Spending around 30 euros for two people at a burger joint?! Sorry, like I said, we've always enjoyed going to Burger King, but it's slowly reaching a point where we can no longer support it.

I'm really disappointed and angry! I ordered and paid through Lieferando, but my food never arrived. I've tried calling the restaurant several times – no one answers the phone! This is completely unprofessional. If you're selling food, you should at least be available or let the customer know if there are any problems. I've been waiting for over three hours and haven't received a delivery or any response. This is simply disrespectful to the customer. I want my money back and hope Lieferando investigates these places. This really isn't acceptable!

If I could rate the ambiance with 0 stars, I would. We couldn't find a properly clean table. Okay, many people completely forget their table manners when they're allowed to eat with their fingers. But sorry, there wasn't much to do, and a quick wipe over should have been manageable. There were food scraps everywhere on the floor; it definitely hadn't been swept in a while. We were there spontaneously while passing through and unfortunately experienced the most unprofessional Burger King ever.... There are no ordering kiosks, just completely overwhelmed staff at a single checkout. Displays only show a portion of the product range. Placing an order is a matter of luck if you don't know what you want. Ready orders are "called out" in a completely incomprehensible way. No queue number or anything like that. It all feels like the early 2000s, not 2025! The burger was lukewarm, but otherwise okay. The side dish was wrong, but it was replaced upon request. The food seems okay, the taste is okay, but we probably wouldn't go here again. Some investment would be needed to bring it up to date (order kiosks), then the service would be more transparent and easier to handle (and the food would also be warm when the customer arrives...)

Every time I order food, I regret it. I pay, and only half of the order arrives. Then I call the store, and no one answers. My visit to Burger King on a Wednesday evening was unfortunately anything but satisfactory. A long line formed at the drive-thru, and no one knew what was going on – no information, no announcement, nothing. Everyone waited patiently, but nothing happened. So I went inside. Inside, the same chaos: two employees were standing around while 1.5 people worked half-heartedly. There was absolutely no sign of customer service. Friendliness? Communication? None. No one was greeted, no one informed, and I was consistently ignored. Regarding hygiene, I just hope this is at least taken more seriously internally. Particularly unpleasant: A man in front of me asked what was going on after several minutes – whereupon he was reprimanded by an employee in an incredibly rude tone. That's no way to treat customers! A simple, "Good evening, sorry for the wait – we're having technical difficulties, unfortunately, it might take a while," would have been absolutely sufficient. It would have been even better if the obviously idle employees had at least gone outside to inform the waiting guests. This kind of behavior is new to me – and absolutely unacceptable. There is an urgent need for training here – in communication, dealing with people, and basic respect.

I can only agree with many of those here. The staff are very slow and unmotivated. We stood in line for 15 minutes before our order was taken, even though no one was in front of us and staff were theoretically available. We always check to make sure everything is there, as things tend to get forgotten. But this time, everything was top notch. My husband ordered a long chicken with double cheese and paid extra for the cheese. The monitor at the cash register also showed that our order had been correctly recorded. We got a burger with nothing on it and only a piece of chicken... What did we pay for? Are we now supposed to unwrap and inspect the burgers before we take them home? I really wish the service here would improve. Ordering machines alone would ease the burden on the staff and improve the workflow.

I was left standing for a good 10 minutes before I could order. When I did order, I was asked to take a seat and I would then receive my to-go order. But when the three groups who ordered after me received their food in the next 30 minutes, some of them with very large orders, I got annoyed and asked. Two burgers and onion rings can't be that heavy. The lady behind the counter then told me there were other people waiting. Yes, thank you. The other people had already left and ordered after me. When I told her that, she quickly packed up my burgers that had been on the counter for 20 minutes. Her young colleague sometimes seemed like he would rather be somewhere else entirely and was way too cool for the job. The problem here isn't the kitchen, but the employees at the front who are completely overwhelmed and apparently haven't learned the proper way of running a business. I avoid this branch.

If I could give 0 stars I would have. It was absolutely inconvenient that we had to wait 3 hours for a delivery. I live 5 minutes away from the shop, Lieferando said 55 minutes delivery time and after 2 hours or so there was no delivery. I called several times but nobody answered and then I went over to see what had happened with the delivery. They said the driver was on his way even though, as I said, we were 5 minutes away (I said okay, I'll wait a bit longer). After 15 minutes I got a call and the driver said the delivery would be made in 30 minutes if I agreed. Clearly, I didn't agree at all and I wanted to cancel it. We'll see if Lieferando will refund my money now....

We placed a small order around 11:00 PM, but it never arrived. We called at 1:00 AM and no one answered. We then went there and asked why it was taking so long. The employee allegedly said the order had been placed five minutes ago and that we would receive it in a few minutes; she wanted to get rid of us. At 1:45 AM, the delivery driver called us and asked if we still wanted the order because he was supposed to be half an hour late. Of course, we said no and asked for a refund. When we drove a few meters away, we saw the delivery driver, who had parked a little further away so we wouldn't see him. At least be honest with customers and don't try to rip them off. And this isn't the first time: delays of over two hours, incorrect deliveries, etc. Never again at Burger King!!!!

I actually liked eating at BurgerKing every now and then, but today that was my last desperate attempt to get food. As happened 2 weeks ago, today the same tragedy. No car in front of me at the drive in, the store is empty and despite waiting 10 minutes there is no response from the employee. I then drove to the front, lo and behold, there was no guest at the checkout but the girls were talking loudly out the window about the parking lot. Shaking my head, I went over to the competition because it was exactly the opposite and my friend also received the food quickly. I placed a fairly straightforward order with three burgers, two lattice potatoes and a drink. However, I had to wait a total of almost 30 minutes before I got my food in my hands - and there wasn't actually much going on in the branch. The staff, especially the person at the checkout/order taker, seemed hopeless overwhelmed. Well, I'm happy that I finally had my order I drove home. Once there, the next surprise: The plant-based patties from the two Cheesy BBQ Lovers were both really burnt, the surface was simply black (see attached photo). Roasted flavors are ok, but if the entire burger just tastes burnt, that's not good. The lattice potatoes, which at least have a hefty price, were apparently put into the wrong packaging that was too small, and there were only 5 to 6 lattice potato pieces inside (photo also attached). And that’s with both lattice potato orders. That's very sad. But the cheese melt plant based burger took the cake. There was no plant based pattie on it, but there were several strips of bacon. Conclusion: In an order worth around 28 euros, only the Fuze tea was okay, with the rest something went wrong everywhere. The Velbert branch has never been the fastest when it comes to the ordering process, but this order was a disaster overall. I would like the people there to be better trained so that they are not so overwhelmed and the orders are fulfilled better.

I think it's the worst Burger King I've ever been to. The lady at the checkout was suddenly stressed from 0-100 because of four guests, I don't even want to mention the habits of one guest. Orders are put together incorrectly. It takes 20 minutes to order because they work extremely slowly here. It takes another 30 minutes until you get your food. Furthermore, the staff is super unfriendly. The store simply belongs to done.

This really applies to every area Service, friendliness, understanding for customers and the service concept are not lived here either. If there are 10 customers standing in line, the word fast food restaurant takes on a completely different meaning. Pack sizes and temperatures of fries and drinks are spontaneously adjusted by the employees, to the detriment of the customer, and when asked, they simply laugh it off and that's it. Conversations about this are not possible at a qualified level with minimal staff because as a customer you are not allowed to have your say. And last but not least. Attention is drawn to the special circumstance that problems are always customer problems. So my problem is dealing with the customer in such an unfriendly way, who secures your job, and the postscript that you don't have to buy, you can just leave, then tops it all off. This makes it easy for the competition to further differentiate themselves

I have rarely seen such a lame (slow) way of working in a fast food restaurant. Everything was fresh and hot when you got your food. But that has nothing to do with “fast”. Everything is simply too sluggish there. If you compare it to McDonalds, Burger King (in my opinion) has no chance. Cleanliness: Average for a fast food chain.

Absolutely underground today at the drive thru When I arrived there was 1 car in front of me on the speaker. It took a relatively long time before the car pulled up. I pulled over to the speaker and waited for an employee voice. After 5 minutes there was a “very short moment please”. This moment lasted 8 minutes! I ordered a set meal and an extra burger and said I had a coupon. “Please drive up” The car from 13 minutes ago was also still at the window. Another 10 minutes took my turn and showed my app to scan the code. "What is that?" Came the question. Me: “Your app” I would have ordered a menu, not a coupon. Since I was really annoyed at the time and, above all, hungry, I paid 17.99 instead of 11.99 and asked for extra ketchup for the fries, which I got. The question about my loyalty points/crowns was ignored twice. Whatever, I thought to myself. The fast food had already become snail slow food after the waiting time. I drove 5 minutes to my house and was looking forward to my meal, only to discover on the couch that the Whopper was ar...cold. At least not the Long Chicken. But what was even worse was that although I had my ketchup, the fries were completely missing. Conclusion Paid too much for cold and missing food and what was supposed to be a quick meal cost me almost an hour. I like eating at other Burger Kings. But next time I'll go to McDonald's across the street.

The food was as usual at Citizen King. But the service was a disaster. Waiting almost 30 minutes for your food at a "fast food joint" because the lady at the checkout couldn't get it is really sad. Next time I'll go to another Citizen King and see if they can do better.

I ate here today, January 5th, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. and had a very unpleasant experience. Because I didn't put my tray away, a member of staff insulted me in a rude manner. She said that as a customer I was obliged to put the tray away. It was only when the shift leader intervened that the situation was relaxed. It's unbelievable how rude people treat guests here. If it is mandatory to put away your tray, a sign to that effect would be helpful - instead of treating guests so disrespectfully. Such behavior clearly shows how little value is placed on customer friendliness here. If you treat guests like this, you don't need to expect politeness in return. For me, this is a juice shop and the many negative reviews are completely understandable and authentic. Absolutely disappointing! We won't be coming back again.

Basically, fast food restaurants are visited for quick meals. Here, “Almost” takes on a new meaning. The tortoise also won against the hare, it's not the speed that's important, it's the result that counts. The fact that you are already starving while waiting for your food is irrelevant.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing visit. The fries were barely edible—mostly leftovers, dry and hard. They definitely didn't look freshly prepared. If you're paying for simple food, the quality should at least be good. It's a shame; I had hoped for more.
