Unfortunately, my visit to Burger King was not satisfactory. The food was not good and didn't seem fresh at all. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations for quality.

So, we ordered from Burger King. And one burger is missing. We paid with PayPal!!!! It was supposed to be delivered later, but it's been 1.5 hours now. Outrageous. Never again!!! Nothing has arrived yet.

Stop at a burger restaurant. Fast food.

The week before, I ordered a vanilla milkshake and received a strawberry one. No one speaks proper German. You're completely ignored as a customer. Stay away from this place.

I'm extremely disappointed with Burger King. Every time, I pay full price, but something is still missing from my order. This isn't an isolated incident anymore; it happens regularly. For a company that calls itself "fast food," everything takes far too long. The wait times are absurd—instead of a quick takeaway, it feels more like a restaurant with a "to-go" window. If you have to wait this long, the least you can do is ensure your order is complete and correct. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The organization is terrible, the reliability is poor, and there's absolutely no sense of customer service. That's it for me—I definitely cannot recommend Burger King.

It's getting worse and worse, unfortunately. I only come here for the KitKat ice cream anymore, but €4.09 for such a small amount of soft serve from a machine is a joke. For that price, I'd be better off going to an ice cream parlor. And the employee makes a mess (this is the second time it's happened to me) and doesn't clean it up. The wait time is another issue. Edit: I'm back after a long time, and there's no improvement. The place is empty, and yet it still takes forever at the drive-thru. The amount of ice cream for €4.49 isn't right in my opinion, but it did taste good. That was the last time I'll buy anything here.

I waited at the checkout for about 10 minutes while the employee was busy with her own business. She saw me, I said hello, looked at me without saying anything, and then 10 minutes later, with a disgruntled expression, she came over and took my payment.

The food is delicious. And the wait time is very short. Plus, the staff are very friendly.

Well, definitely the worst restaurant of this chain in Recklinghausen. The kitchen staff apparently can't even put the right toppings on a burger! The cashier was certainly friendly.

I haven't been there in two years, but today I tried again. Although the food was complete this time, it was all cold. The burgers were dry, and you had to hunt for the salad and sauces. The food tasted old and moldy. So much money for such rubbish, never again!

I ordered food through Uber Eats. And an entire menu was missing. After calling ten times, someone unprofessional answered and said they would send me a WhatsApp so I could send my address. I haven't received a WhatsApp message yet, and the phone has also been turned off. It's a disgrace what's happening.

The restrooms were so disgusting that I'd rather go into the bushes next time...and despite the yawning emptiness, a simple order took more than 15 minutes.... The technology crashed several times while ordering, and there was no personal customer service. And to top it all off, the order was wrong. 🫩

Subterranean. I didn't think I'd have to review a Burger King. The ambiance is ruined by the constant beeping and loud ringing. My wife's burger was delivered incorrectly. She ordered the Plant variety but didn't get it. The Selection wasn't available as a Plant variety, but it was possible to order it at the terminal. The burger and sides were cold, and the burgers smelled of cleaning products with every bite. All in all, it was very disappointing. I've never experienced anything like that at a Burger King before. The wait time for a Burger King was also very long at 20 minutes. The employees speak little German. Will avoid this place in the future.

Unfortunately, it's not good. We often go to Burger King, but in Recklinghausen it's just terrible. I ordered a plant-based burger at the terminal, it even said so on the receipt, and I got a meat burger. When I complained, I was told that the burger couldn't be ordered plant-based... But it was possible at the terminal, and it said so on the receipt. Then I got a new, cobbled-together burger that was absolutely disgusting. Never again. Also, the ringing was extremely loud the whole time, very annoying.

Unfortunately, after 2 hours of ordering, there's still no delivery! I would give it 5 stars!

I ordered a Whopper meal at the drive-thru. The drink was good and cold, the fries were fresh and hot, but the Whopper was awful. They sold me an old one as fresh. In the photo, you can see that a piece of the bun is missing. I tried to eat the one on the right. Everything was soggy and not fresh. What a disgrace. Unfortunately, I didn't check right away.

I haven't been to Burger King in over two years because I feel like I'm constantly being ripped off based on my order. Ordered burgers aren't wrapped, etc. Someone must be making a fortune on the side, as often as this has happened, and apparently continues to happen...and it's no longer a mistake...

Newly remodeled Burger King with self-service kiosks. Ordered takeout. My order was ready in about 20 minutes (two burgers and chili cheese fries). The chili cheese fries were a disgrace: a couple of fries with 2-3 dollops of sauce for €4.99. The burgers were also really dry, with hardly any sauce on them. At least they accommodated my special requests.

I ordered two large fries and a meal with medium fries, but unfortunately I only got three medium fries in those little kids' bags, which were all the same size. So what's the difference between small, medium, and large? Last week I noticed it with my daughter: her kids' fries were the same size as my supposedly large king fries. If you ask me, the manager is a fries vulture; you have to consider the additional illegal sales and damage to customers! I've also been to Mecces, and there you really do get your large fries plus an extra scoop in the bag, haha, just like you're used to.

It's a shame, whenever I go there, I always get kids' fries instead of large fries. I upgraded through the app. I wasn't even asked for mayo or ketchup, and they weren't in the bag either. But, to make it seem unnoticeable, they placed a large Coke next to it, which was only a little over half full. Overall, it's a deceptive package that seems very systematic.

The wait at the drive-thru is very long. People are often asked to pull up so that the official wait time isn't counted. Furthermore, people cover the stopwatch with their hands to manipulate the time. The food is served cold, and the chili cheese nuggets aren't fresh.

I haven't ordered from here in two months; the deals are so bad, and you pay double. Elsewhere, I can get a juicy half chicken with fries and salad for €10, as well as other great dishes. Here, I pay €20 for a small Coke, some fries, and a burger, plus some fees because you pay in cash... absurd manager, haha

The service is not good at all. The person at the cash register looks at you askance and even tells you where you should sit. She wanted to seat us at a dirty table and then she looked at us askance the whole time. I have never experienced anything like that in my life and I want this person to be fired. She is dark-skinned and looks very aggressive. She doesn't even have the charisma to welcome guests. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Very unpleasant and even gives you an angry look even though you haven't done anything. Can you try ordering? It was around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. That is not good at all.

I tried to redeem two vouchers at the drive-thru, but at the cash register I was told they didn't exist, which is nonsense. No effort was made at all; the employees spoke poor German, at least on the day I was there. The next day I went to Burger King in Dorsten. Surprisingly, the same voucher worked there, and the employee told me that these vouchers are valid for at least a week, and if they're not in the cash register, you have to put them in yourself. It's strange that the employees in Recklinghausen aren't/weren't as helpful.

So this Burger King is by far the worst Burger King there is, and I live nearby. I'll list them while I wait for my food. 1. The employees don't understand German at all. Absolutely not. They can hear keywords like SCHICKENBURHERKR. I have no idea how they spell it, but they don't have a clue. They definitely don't speak German at all. 2. The food can be cold, unfortunately I wasted €26. 3. I'll walk in the rain and storm, but I'll never eat at this Burger King again. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Very last shop. Were there 3 times in 6 months. You're just in the mood for a chili cheese burger. From now on never again!! Uninterested employees. No matter your origin, no matter whether you understand the language, no matter whether it's at the counter or drive-thru. Everyone is absolutely unfriendly and anti customer behavior....!! Drive in unoccupied, no service after 10 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, lo and behold, as always, something was missing, sometimes the fries, sometimes the wrong burger. Completely normal in the store! What is also clear is that the food is cold. Nothing like hot fries, warm burgers. Even the cola was lukewarm.

Definitely one of the better Burger King restaurants. Very clean, good service, and hot food.

For the second time in a row, 5 employees couldn't manage to get two Whopper Jr.s in 30 minutes. I have all the proof ready: a receipt with screenshots of when I got my food. They forgot about the lady who was in line before me?????? How does that work??? You have a screen with four orders online and with an auto. I've known the store since they started paying with dollars, but waiting 30 minutes twice in a row for two burgers each is beyond belief, and they were cold. The employees are stupid... To enter two PLU numbers... Two PLU numbers and a cancellation 218 and 220 is already one too many for the cashier, and it's nice that the other employee came to me when I placed the second order, but then she pointed the finger at the colleague who couldn't enter the two PLU numbers correctly. My conclusion: BK Recklinghausen, you've lost a customer who was already paying with DM. I wish you bankruptcy. You deserve nothing less. I've never seen such bad employees in the restaurant industry. The complaint will be submitted to the complaints department with a receipt and screenshot because I've had enough of you. You're currently the worst restaurant in the Recklinghausen area. I wasn't there for 40 minutes and saw four dissatisfied customers. If you can't see it, then it's Caio from Recklinghausen.

A McDonald's should be located at this location. BK and McDonald's aren't comparable.

It's annoying that they ring and don't call the number

Once and never again! We had to wait over 30 minutes for our order. Customers who ordered after us received their food within minutes. Our food was cold when we finally got it. The sauces were missing, and half of our orders were wrong. Unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant. The employees are completely overwhelmed, and there's no structure or organization at all. We'll never go there again!

A burger was left out of the order, and even though the cashier scanned the Payback card, no points were awarded. When I tried to call to clarify the burger issue, no one answered. The remaining burgers were all good. Edit: They contacted us afterward, and the burger was delivered, but not on the same day.

Well first of all, we've been waiting for our order for what feels like two years. I've already grown a beard and missed two birthdays. I don't know if the waiter is talking to me or the person behind me. The food was so delicious it would have been worth throwing away, the trash can was happy about it, but even it didn't want to eat it.

Today at 6:35 p.m. I stopped by the burger place again and ordered menu 278... €12.99... I didn't get the Whopper + BigKing but the BigKing + Chili Cheese Burger for €9.99... The staff don't understand German and don't know the number combination on the coupon... and they ripped me off on top of that... I can't recommend this place!!!

Worst experience ever. The whole floor is completely dirty, apart from that the service is abysmally bad. I have never seen anything so unfriendly and cheeky in my life. From the beginning, we were not spoken to in a sensible tone. It was super empty (no one was there except for us) but we were sent to the broken terminals and had to wait there until it worked again. We also wanted more jalapeños on the fries, which of course we wanted to pay extra for, so the lovely lady responded with “it’s disgusting” ☺️ and then she told the manager that we didn’t want to pay (LOG to defend herself!), which was the last thing for us ; doesn't work at all. I also asked her to be a little polite, and of course she got even more cranky. Something like that just doesn't work, even if it's just a fast food shop. The manager just apologized and told us to ignore them. A person like that, with that kind of attitude, has no place in a job like that. A work ethic like that is just terrible. Was a somewhat strong, short lady with blonde, brown hair.

Complete catastrophe! Three of the many order terminals do not work, two of which show a message that the receipt roll is empty. The fourth terminal responds sluggishly and then shows a POS error, whatever that means. So no chance of ordering from the machine. Unfortunately the staff ignored us at the counter, so we left again. Four customers less. You have to be able to afford it.

The star is still too much! I've been standing in the drive for more than 20 minutes. Behind me, 5 cars have received their orders and are driving past me! Order: Bacon Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken Menu, Chicken Nugget Burger. Absolutely ridiculous and none of the staff present speak German fluently.

Impudence! I ordered via Lieferando 2 1/2 hours ago and my food is still not there. Impudence!

It's not even worth 1 star! Totally unfriendly employees, you get insulted straight away because you didn't know that the ice cream machine was broken! And almost no one can speak German! the worst store I've ever been to! never again ! They rip you off and charge you an ice cream that cost 5 euros and then don't give you the money back!

Burger King disappointed: On Friday at 6 p.m. the store was completely understaffed - only one employee at the checkout, one in the kitchen and one at the McDrive. Even though there were only two people in front of us, we had to wait a full 30 minutes. More staff should definitely be assigned during peak times to avoid long waiting times and frustration among customers.

The store was super cold, we stood with a winter jacket and it was still very cold, the employees were miserable. Although the order was ready and there, we only received it after requesting it, as the cars that kept coming were served first. There was only 1 employee in operation!

How stupid do you have to be if you can't serve the entire junior menu yourself. First the toy was missing and finally the ketchup too. Dude, they just have to look at a display. But as you can see, even that seems to be too much!!! And it was the only thing I ordered. A simple junior menu.

No heating on, bitterly cold in the restaurant, employees have no clue about anything, totally overwhelmed and the food ice cold. I think the head office needs to be informed.

The heating appears to be either broken or intentionally turned off. With outside temperatures of -1°C, it's barely warmer inside the restaurant. Additionally, the drive-thru, which appears to be set to loudspeakers, creates a constant background noise along with the music. The atmosphere, unfortunately, doesn't invite anyone to spend time there.

When it's colder in a restaurant than outside. When I have to eat with a wool hat and jacket, the enthusiasm is almost zero. If the waiting time for three burgers including fries and a Coke lasts a little over 10 minutes and we are the only guests in the entire restaurant, I think everything has been said.

I don't usually review fast food chains because I rarely eat there. But sometimes I just need something quick. So far so good. The food is of the usual mediocre quality. But everyone has to decide for themselves. Here in Recklinghausen, however, a completely different aspect really bothered me. The temperature inside the restaurant was the same as outside. That would certainly be fine in spring or autumn. But in winter with 0°C it was very bad. The benches were correspondingly extremely cold. The food had cooled down in a few minutes and we just wanted to get back into the warm car as quickly as possible. And we (as well as the few other guests) were all sitting there in winter clothing. They're definitely cutting corners here. That's completely unacceptable.

I wanted to have food delivered to my home. I waited over an hour and a half, the food was cold, my order was incomplete, and I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Really bad, never again!

Items are often missing from the order. Mayo or ketchup always cost extra on meals. I've seen it differently at other restaurants.

Overall, it's pleasant, if only the employees were able to hand out the orders in full or simply show some decency. Unfortunately, there's no respect for customers here either. It's sad that someone like that is allowed to sell there. The employee was the manager himself on December 18, 2024, at 8:35 p.m.

This is my first review ever, and it shows how far this BK has taken me. I don't even know where to start... It's best to start with what you can see right away, and that's the lighting. It just looks very unprofessional when the lighting has been broken for months!!! so that all you can read is "Burger KI." When you actually go into the store, you find terminals that are just there for decoration. You can actually order directly at the cash register. And now we come to the biggest flaw of all, the staff... I don't give a damn where someone comes from or what kind of background they have, as long as they understand me and can take my order properly. But this fails completely, so you always have to double-check your order. I don't know what's changed in the last few months... maybe a new franchisee? However, this has become downright criminal, so I'm seriously considering driving to the more distant Erkenschwick or Castrop every time, even though this burger place is a three-minute drive from me. Something has to change, because this BURGER KI(ng) is simply a huge disgrace for such a global company.

The employees only spoke very broken German and were difficult to understand. There were no drinks available except iced tea. The floor was dirty, and the employees were walking around the kitchen in their street clothes. All employees were massively overwhelmed, even though the customer service was normal. After more than 20 minutes, we received our two meals. The iced tea was practically water, and the burgers were carelessly slapped together. Also, the mayo was missing. Never again. One of the worst Burger King restaurants in the area.
