Smash or Pass? Definitely SMASH. I actually wanted to take a picture – but no chance. The burger disappeared faster than I could react. I had the Paratha Burger: incredibly delicious, juicy, an absolute flavor explosion. Yes, a bit tricky to eat, hands constantly working – but that's exactly how a really good burger should be. My wife had the Cheeseburger: simple, perfectly made, and just as amazing. Top quality, rich sauces, relaxed atmosphere, and super friendly service. If you love burgers: go there. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived to this place around 7 pm was almost full. They seated us at the bar because there were no tables available, but that was no problem for us. We ordered double cheeseburgers with truffle fries on the side. Both were incredibly delicious. We had Paulner beer to go with them. The service takes a bit of time, but the crowd explains that. But it's really worth the wait. If I ever come back to Munich, I'll definitely stop by here again. 🍔🍟👌

A great place in a quiet area of Munich. The atmosphere is relaxed, there are different types of tables: bar counters, sofas and ordinary tables with chairs. The staff is very nice and pleasant. The menu includes a variety of burger options at very affordable prices. You can choose a burger with one cutlet or two. Also a large set of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We took Smash Giggly Burger and French fries with garlic sauce. Everything was fine, but the burger lacked a bit of richness. He also didn't keep his shape well and fell apart in his hands. French fries were fried with excess oil. Tasty, but not healthy. They give a free shot for a review, but this is not a mandatory option. On Sunday evening, the place was half free.

After craving a good burger for weeks, my partner and I decided to try this restaurant based on its strong reviews and the impression that it leaned more toward a proper restaurant than a casual snack bar. The atmosphere was pleasant overall. The staff was friendly, and the noise level made it easy enough to chat, which isn’t always the case in busy Munich spots. We started with two of their “smash” drinks, both fresh and enjoyable. As for the burgers, they looked good, but the experience didn’t fully meet our expectations. The meat was on the drier side, and the toppings, underripe tomatoes and firm avocado slices, didn’t add much to the overall flavor. The bun was fine but not particularly distinctive. Prices are fair, and it’s a nice place to sit with a drink, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re specifically searching for the best burger in town.

The food tasted excellent; I highly recommend the double Smash Giggly Burger. The service was also pleasant, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Very nice waiters, good atmosphere, but the burger was really not good. It wasn't smashed, the cheese wasn't melted, it was too greasy, and the fries were dry. The food was unfortunately a miss.

I assume this method of preparing the burger is something new and is intended to be this way: The patty is ultra-thin and deep-fried into a firm, crispy, almost rock-hard biscuit. This also applies to the vegan burger I ordered with double the amount of meat substitute (135g total), which is essentially two of these cracker-like patties stacked on top of each other. While it doesn't taste bad on its own, judging by my initial impression, I spent the whole evening debating whether I liked it or not. I didn't dare ask about it at the restaurant, but I kept thinking: Is this how it's supposed to be?! Unfortunately, I came to the conclusion that it's not for me. I need a juicy, thick patty, not a thin biscuit, especially since I really like the meat substitute on the menu. Update: I just checked again: Yes, the smashed technique is supposed to produce burgers that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but mine was anything but juicy. How such a super-thin patty is supposed to stay juicy inside is beyond me. In retrospect, the meal was rather mediocre; the rest of the burger was nothing special, and neither was the salad, which was made vegan especially for me (meaning just vinaigrette, more oil than anything else), and had a lot of strong onions in it. On the plus side: the ambiance and music were lovely, the service was excellent and friendly, and the prices were almost unbeatable for Munich, even for drinks. Therefore, I would definitely come back, probably for a few drinks and the burger with the veggie patty, which is listed on the menu as "unsmashed," meaning hopefully juicy.

There were two of us – I had the Giggly Smash Burger and my companion had the burger with the Japanese toast bun. We shared two sides: the bacon cheese fries and the truffle parmesan fries. The fries were nicely thin-cut, crispy, and really delicious with the various toppings – simple, but that's exactly what made it so good. The burgers themselves were also fantastic: juicy, fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavor. No over-the-top concept, just really good, solidly made burgers with high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a modern interior, and even though we were there on a Saturday at lunchtime, the atmosphere was pleasant. I didn't find the delivery drivers regularly picking up orders to be bothersome at all. In short: A confident, really good burger joint. Fresh ingredients, delicious sides, friendly service – highly recommended! 🍔✨

For me, this is definitely a no-go. We went there on the recommendation of colleagues and were really disappointed. The service deserves zero stars. The young man who served us was quite incompetent. First, we were brought items to our table that we hadn't ordered. Then, after 30 minutes, we had to place our order again because "something" had been mixed up. After about 55 minutes, we finally got our food. Things weren't much better at the next table. Their burgers were brought to them, but the server had to be reminded several times that they were missing cutlery. Now for the food: Both the burgers and the fries were extremely greasy. I'm not usually one to complain, but this was definitely too much. The burger was so greasy that you could barely eat it with your hands because they were so incredibly dirty afterward. But the fries were the worst part for me. It seems they were in a hurry in the kitchen and probably didn't drain them after frying. The fries were swimming in grease at the bottom of the tray—truly disgusting. Half an hour after eating, I was already burping constantly because it was too greasy. Price-wise, I thought it was okay: burger + garlic fries + a beer for about €25. I would actually give the ambiance 4 stars. Unfortunately, the place got quite crowded towards the end. Because they were probably cooking more burgers then, the smell of grease became increasingly strong at the front. Honestly, if there's a deduction for that, we didn't notice it. We also found the table arrangement too cramped. We won't be coming back.

A lovely ambiance with nice decor and a cozy atmosphere. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. The meat was juicy, the bread crusty, and the sauces complemented the other ingredients perfectly. The various types of fries were also very generous and topped with toppings. Since everything is also reasonably priced, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Top burger bar with delicious burgers and fries! They have special offers from time to time, which keeps things interesting. Reservations are a must in the evenings, otherwise you'll hardly get a table. I had the November special, which was simply amazing—the Dubei Burger, a burger with a twist! The Parmesan truffle fries are absolutely delicious and highly recommended. I'll definitely be back! 👍🏻 See you next time!

The burger was tasteless, way too oily, not worth it. The fries were the worst I've ever had, they seemed like they were cooked in cold oil. This is the only time in my life I couldn't eat fries.

Super friendly service, burgers and fries for lunch for €9.99. Very tasty with the fresh salad and super crispy fries; the sweet potato fries (which cost a little more) are also delicious.

The food was generally okay—nothing special, but worth it once in a while. Unfortunately, the service significantly dampened the overall impression. Even when ordering, we had the impression that the staff were rather disinterested. Our dishes arrived later than those of guests who had ordered after us (although it's possible that they had pre-ordered). What really bothered us, though, was that we had neither cutlery nor napkins on the table and had to ask for them several times. Even after I pointed this out to the waiter, nothing happened at first. Perhaps he simply forgot, but overall, everything seemed a bit lackluster. The mood in the restaurant was also unfortunately rather subdued. The music and the atmosphere made us want to leave immediately after our meal. Finally, there was a rather unfriendly farewell: After the four of us had paid, two of us said a friendly "Goodbye," whereupon the waiter simply turned away and went to the next table. Perhaps he missed it, but unfortunately, the moment wasn't pleasant. Overall it's a shame the food was okay, but because of the service and the atmosphere I personally wouldn't go there again.

Absolutely lived up to its name, but it was a PASS. Instead of truffles, I got sour cream. Dry fries, and not even a start on the burger. Extremely dry, with huge onions cut into it and not made with much love. For that price, a burger at McDonald's would be much cheaper and better. Never again from this place, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

My girlfriend and I were planning on having dinner, but instead we had an experience. Hard like these fries and also chewy like these fries probably sums it up best. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me, I can't upload the video, but if you're scared on the way home, just carry one of these fries with you. Not even Kevlar will stop them. The service was okay, but nothing more. The cheeseburger, on the other hand, was a miracle... of economy. More sauce than cheese on the double cheeseburger is quite overwhelming. At least you can taste the bread better that way. Minimalist cuisine at its finest. This thing sits heavily on your stomach. Not great for €35. My tip to the owner: fries will dehydrate if you leave them for too long. I haven't had anything like that even at the crappiest McDonald's.

Parking is also excellent; there's a large parking garage about 400 meters away, suitable for any vehicle!

It was one of the best burgers i have ever had. Just amazing.

Rather Pass Ordered takeout from Smash or Pass, and honestly, I wish I hadn’t bothered. The burger was a sad mess — more bun than anything else, dripping with oil, and the only thing you could actually taste was the onion. The meat? Practically non-existent. What I got was basically bread, oil, and some pickles pretending to be a burger. The fries were somehow worse. I was excited for them, but they tasted like they’d been fried, refried, and maybe fried again from last weekend’s leftovers. Rock-hard, greasy, and honestly a dental hazard — I nearly lost a tooth biting into one. All in all, an oily, joyless meal. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Decent food, chicken burger and wings didn’t have a lot of flavor on their own and relied on breading. Overall the food is fine but service takes a very long time. Arrived before dinner rush and ordered, waited an hour to receive food. Table next to us waited 40 minutes to just order.

Why would you even eat a burger anywhere else? I had the most excellent smash-cheeseburger with double patty that I have had in a few years. A side of truffle-parmesan fries topped it off perfectly.

We stopped by late at night because the kids wanted burgers, and this was one of the few places still open. Even though it was late, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The burgers were delicious; well-cooked and made with quality beef. We were very happy with both the flavor and the service, and I would definitely recommend it. Just a note: the name has changed to Smash or Pass Burger and Bar.
