There's not much to say about the Jägerschnitzel. It was so thin you could probably see right through it without the breading. The edges were so hard it didn't taste good. The burger and fries were okay.

For me, this is a great place. The meat is incredibly juicy. I've been a regular customer there for years and I look forward to it every time. Keep up the good work, you're doing a fantastic job!

Today was my first time at Heiser Kiste, and I didn't find the burgers tasty; they had a bad aftertaste, and the fries were reheated. So, all in all, two stars are perfectly sufficient.

Fries, currywurst, mayo... The sausage was cold and not cooked through properly. The sauce tasted sweet and was watery. The fries seemed to have been fried twice. The server was clearly having a bad day, as she was unfriendly. All in all... no reason for us to go there again. It's a shame, because before, when it was just a hot food stand, the food was always worth it.

Great atmosphere, wonderful food – I love the chicken there, but I've also tried many other dishes and can highly recommend it. Top-notch!

Definitely a really delicious burger! That said, for a slightly better-quality snack, it's really good quality: tasty meat, not too much mayonnaise, the fries are crispy, and the sauces are very good. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel at home. I've been there three times in the last few months and would go back a fourth time. Sorry for the downgrade in the ambiance section. We're in Recklinghausen North, and the whole neighborhood and the word "ambiance" might not really fit together. Just saying.

I have to say, they've been serving really great fries with currywurst for years. And for five euros, too. After taking over the hot box, we were concerned that the quality would change. But it's always remained just as good.

Today we had the special: fries, currywurst, and mayo for 5 euros. The sausage was finely chopped and well-seasoned. The fries were well-fried, and the mayo was very tasty. Great for the price. Update from June 27, 2025: The special is still available, but without mayo. The fries were extremely tasty. The sausage was also good. The food is served in a cute pan. There are a few taller tables at the table, not suitable for shorter people.

We were there today and I was so disgusted. I had a long hair in my food, and so did another customer. The server said, "Sorry, I have no idea where that came from." He should make sure the people behind the counter tie their hair back or wear a hair cap. So, they won't be seeing me there again.

Smaller portions or a special children's burger would be desirable for small children - the normal portions are simply too large. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is good and the overall package fits. We'd love to come back!

Positive: Very stylish and cozy store, a large selection with something for everyone, and superb taste! Contrary: Unfortunately, the value for money isn't great. For these prices (sometimes €16 for a burger), you don't even get a side dish. The burgers are also getting smaller and smaller, subjectively speaking. They used to be larger. The fries are very disappointing, as they're just regular fries and more like Teka food. For the prices, you'd expect something better, e.g., made with fresh potatoes. All in all: You can do it once, but for these prices, you could almost go to a proper restaurant.

Delicious burgers, but a main course was missing from the order, which was also paid for. When trying to reach someone by phone this was not possible for over 1 hour and 30 attempts. Miserable service and starving child, a shame about what was actually a delicious burger experience!

Today was our first time eating at the new restaurant. The two girls behind the counter were very friendly and efficient. The place was crowded and the phone was ringing off the hook, but I still got my order pretty quickly, and it was delicious. In my opinion, it was even better than the old restaurant. I actually had delicious burgers in mind. But when I was served my burger there, I thought the staff was kidding me. Biting into the cheeseburger confirmed the poor appearance of the burger: it tasted like a consumer microwave burger. Not nearly the level I expected. Was the last visit there.

Still ok, but after the move it's not nearly as good as before. The meat in particular no longer tastes as good as it used to. The air in the new location is extremely stuffy.

Very good burger! Homemade bun - nice and soft and lightly toasted, could use a little more butter for moisture. Meat is good and nothing from the freezer, roasted ingredients could have been a little stronger 👍🏼 Fresh salad and well balanced with meat and cheese. Fries were tasty, but they would have benefited from another 30 seconds in the fries 😄 In terms of price, it's in the same league as any other modern burger shop, although you'll at least get full here compared to many (rarely justifiably) hyped smash burger joints etc. 4.5 out of 5 stars for me 👍🏼

For decades, the Heisse Kiste has been part of Recklinghausen South! Burger Fam can't hold a candle to it! No thanks, that's it!

I spontaneously stopped by this evening to pick up food for my partner and me. Despite a very busy schedule, the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The orders were processed quickly and in an organized manner. Even a last-minute addition to the order was no problem and was passed on immediately. Although the food was ordered to-go, it arrived piping hot thanks to the good packaging. All in all, an absolutely wonderful experience. My partner and I are already looking forward to the next time.

The burgers are awesome 🤤 However, a big negative point is the staff... last time I had cold corn dogs that were remade straight away which wasn't an issue but this time the patties were partly still raw 😖 please take your time when making the food so you don't have to run into your place. And even then, something like that shouldn't happen...it's annoying at home, I can't do anything about it because I don't live nearby. Please pay attention to this in the future then you have easily earned the 5 stars.

Delicious smash burgers at a fair price. Tastes delicious and fresh. The only thing I found was the supposedly homemade burger sauce, which tasted like the standard hamburger sauce from a discount store. I'll try a different burger next time. Still, highly recommended!

I would like to share my experience during my visit to your branch. Despite the digitalization of 2023, I was sad to find that card payments were not offered. This should be considered standard in this day and age and could be a significant limitation for many customers. The note on the counter, written with a white permanent marker, unfortunately underscored this fact. I would also like to express my disappointment at the unfriendliness of the employee behind the counter. Professional and friendly customer service is essential and contributes significantly to the overall impression of the store. Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience in this regard during my visit. In comparison, I found that the Datteln branch clearly stands out in terms of service and the friendliness of the employees.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und wollten uns aufgrund der bislang hauptsächlich guten Bewertungen selbst überzeugen. Die Burger waren lecker, keine Frage. Aber für 11,70 Euro (ohne Beilage) dann doch ziemlich teuer. Zudem waren wir während unseres Besuchs an einem Freitag Abend die ganze Zeit die einzigen Gäste, was uns sehr gewundert hat. Vielleicht preislich einfach zu hoch. Und trotz der "Einsamkeit" im Laden haben wir leider recht lange auf unser Essen warten müssen. Am Ende nur Barzahlung möglich. Da es noch zahlreiche andere Burger-Läden in gleicher Qualität gibt, die auch nicht so weit außerhalb liegen, denke ich nicht, dass wir noch einmal wiederkommen werden.
